Procedurally generated stuff is neat!
What about this is has "Entire game on one screen"?
Nice feel, like the gfx.
The keys where a bit messed up for me on my laptop, the left mousebutton is never used and is far away from wasd and space.
Very nice! The screen transitions work really well for the theme.
I updated the description to include more details about the theme. You have to play it to fully understand. Thanks for the feedback guys!! :D
Awesome music, creative interpretation of the theme
Old school fun :)
I liked the platform rpg style.
updated to fix bug where shop spawned too often instead of dungeons!
Awesome graphics, realy amazing.
love it, very smooth, great graphics and sound. well done
Great! Really impressive for only 48 hours, the procedural generation seems to be working quite well.
It's a little too difficult to regain health I think, I lost it too frequently when swarmed by imps :P
Wow, all that in 48h? I'm so impressed! The game's very fun, the music is catchy, the graphics and sound effects are good! This is a complete game! Just wow.
I have to agree, procedurally generated games are awesome ! Good job ! Though I don't understand how this has something to do with the theme.
While RPGs (even lite ones) are always impressive during game jams, I really don't see what makes this a single screen game.
Great Zelda/Swordigo clone with nice gfx and fitting music. Doesn't really fit the theme though.
Really solid game, but I wish it had some story. :)
Love the way the game feels. Coming back to play more later.
Really Nice! I liked how seamless the transition between the top down areas and the platformer area was! Good Job :)
Love the procedural generation :D
At the beginning I thought that using W to jump was not so great, but then after I entered a dungeon it all made sense.
I may be wrong but it seems that there's no increase in difficulty. If so, I think it could benefit the gameplay giving more challenge and variety.
I'm pretty sure that you thought about that, anyway :D Give me a shout if you plan a PostDare version of the game!
Great job!
I like the game in generall BUT as an entry for this ludum dare you failed. Sorry, this is not "Entire game on one screen"! Then every game which does not run on dual monitors would be fitting the theme which was not intended.
Though the generated world seems to be quite good in general you also suffer from unreachable content (like almost every generated game). I appreciate the amount of work you put in it but it needs more polishing.
A fun little action-platformer. The randomly generated nature of the levels isn't too obvious, which is nice.
Pretty fun. Some odd things happen when I can run up the wall of a low platform and it turns into a pretty high jump. Has some wonky charm regardless.
A little buggy, but cool game!
Neat game all around but you failed to meat the Ludum Dare theme :(
Good game which is really ambitious. I think it's a good starter in order to create an amazing adventure game. Maybe ++
Awesome job. So much packed into a Jam entry.
When we were trying to think up an idea for a game we said "I'd rather make a game I can be proud of than a game that fits into the ludum dare theme and sucks" I can tell you felt the same. Awesome game, keep it up man.
really fun retro game with a awesome tune , well done
Really love the idea of procedurally generated roguelike games. Had fun playing around with this for a showcase. Like the work, the art, and the derpy little gremlins. Just needs a bit more variety in enemies and items with crazy powers and you've got yourself a super adventure.
Can check out the showcase it was featured in here: http://youtu.be/6K5GAU2WwtY
Quite a cool game
