Amazing visuals and atmosphere, it really felt like I was in another world.

Amazing visuals and atmosphere, it really felt like I was in another world.
laughed my ass with this one, the satire is perfectly executed, making it the most amusing entry in this LD so far and one of my favourites now. The visuals are wonderful and charming.
OUTSTANDING work! lovely visuals and some tight platforming with a simplistic metroidvania level design, highly polished (with some exceptions, like the doors stuff) and the ambient music was spot on, truly one of the best games I've played in this LD.
Nice gameplay and lovely visuals, would really like a more fleshed out version. Music is pretty good as well, I'm always amazed at devs that can do everything by themselves, reminds me I need to get around music!
This game was AMAZING! reminded me of Out of this World, pretty good atmosphere and art.
argh, forgot to put stars ><
I'm actually quite jealous because this is what my game would've been if I had more than a day to complete it ><
Sometimes, games are better when they involve simplistic goals and are just about the experience and atmosphere, this one nails perfectly that, one of my favourites right here!
Pretty straightforward and it looks good, I found somewhat difficult to hit enemies but I guess that's part of the challenge. It did frustrate me a bit though because of the one hit kills ><
Sort of complicated, but fun once you get the hang of it.
woah, it looks fantastic! and this was my first time playing an Unreal 4 game haha, kinda unstable though.
I got a Game Over and didn't know why.
HAHA oh my god this game is amazing, 10/10 made me fell off my chair. Loved the story to bits, was like "how's this beneath the surface" until that guy mentioned it and all made sense.
Loved the story, even if the theme was not there in a literal form I could find it by just understanding the main character's life, awesome little game.
It looks pretty cute and the hitboxes weren't broken which is awesome in and on itself.
>< got stuck so many times between tables, but the frantic rhythm was pretty fun, a waiter's job sure is hard.
Lovely game, really enjoyed exploring the cave and it made me look for the Golden Nugget in each level, what I didn't like was the movement, I could often got stuck between rocks and made it somewhat frustrating.
Lovely game, it took me quite a bit to get the hang of it but I really like it how simple it is, it also has a great atmosphere, would like to see a more fleshed out version in the future.
Got stuck not too far from the beginning, the character just wouldn't walk anymore.
Interesting mechanic but somewhat confusing, aesthetics are hit or miss but good looking overall.
Nice mechanics! Some polish here and there and you'll be onto something. Movement is a bit wonky and can be hard to aim upwards, really liked the pray and shoot thing.
AAAH so pretty and fun, addictive too, I love it.
I REALLY liked how I had to calculate the speed of my missiles so I could hit the other missiles, it gave it an extra layer of depth to a simplistic mechanic. The visuals are really great too, the only thing I disliked was the rocket trail, it looked out of place with its more "realistic" look.
Amazingly addictive and very cute looks, definely one of my favourites!
Pretty easy to understand, looks cute but can get a bit old after a while, very nice overall.
Holy fuck, was this game depressing. I admit the rape thing was portrayed kind of weird but I think the dialogue was made like that due to the short gameplay time, it basically made a tl;dr of what is traditionally long and heavy dialogue, think of this as VERY minimalistic story telling.
Very simplistic but interesting concept, kind of confusing at first but good once it really starts.
Graphics looked funny with those sprite animations haha, entertaining little game, can be improved upon adding a few more stuff, what I didn't like is that I got busted suddendly without notice.
For some reason, the game didn't load http://puu.sh/8rvfy.png this is what shows up.
Clever mechanic! it connects the game with the theme very nicely, would rather aim with the mouse pointer though, couldn't hit other ships using WASD only.
le randum noodle xDDDDD
Cute game, I like the animations but it was a bit hard to figure out things but once you do there's some potential fun.
loli/10 would play again
seriously, this is pretty fun. Searching for the candy while running away from the bears resulted in actual fun gameplay, and the art is cute.
I'm a failure of an artist ;_;
Woah, very clever game! I don't know if this counts as a whole game in one screen but this is really amazing. Has potential for a full fledged title imo.
The visuals are incredibly cute and the gameplay was fun. A bit hard to hit the enemies coming from top ><
Had fun with this one. Colors are pretty and power-ups felt just right. I like the shotgun a lot.
Yes, and I don't know why! try with the .zip download.
Real nice. Took me a bit to figure out how to treat the soldiers but it ended up very addicting once I got the hang of it. Graphics are sweet too and the music is catchy.
I think the idea behind this can work (like in Mutant Mudds) but it needs good visual cues so the player can navigate through the level without hassle, but in its current stage... it's not very pleasant to play ^^; but I'm sure it can be improved.
Cute art and animations! attacking is a bit frustrating because I can't seem to reach enemies without taking hits. Also, I don't think there's much connection to the theme ^^; but very pretty overall.
I like when people take stablished concepts and give them their own spin. Pretty fun! but it freezes a lot and won't let me play for too long ><
Surprisingly entertaining, and I like the concept! Would love it if you gave more sense of depth so I can know when to close the door.
Cute visuals and simple gameplay, that's all you need!
Nice music and simple gameplay. It would be fantastic if the game started getting difficult a bit sooner ><
Cool concept! took me a while to figure out things but it felt really good to scare the npc's - I wonder if there's a game like this commercially available...
Not bad! needs more visual feedback and better movement. There's several glitches too but the idea is there ready to be fleshed out.
;_; D-Dorothy I love you
I'm seeing lots of potential here! call me crazy but this should have at least a mode where you can't lose, because this is very relaxing. Would love to play this on my iPad.
Damn, things got really creepy but I dig the whole concept, I really do.
Hope to see more of this!
Gorgeous art and animation, excellent music and atmosphere. I loved everything about it! it gets really hard without changing the layout which is a nice feat.
One of my favourite entries, that's for sure!
Great atmosphere, I just wish the combat felt better. Simple combat can be great as long as hits feel good!
This is really dang good. Four button gameplay seemed weird at first, then deep into the game I was obsessed with mastering the style. Probably one of the best games I've played so far in this jam.
Love the art direction and how quick the game is. Easy to pick up too, I just wish the siege parts were easier to follow.
Ludum Dare needs more games featuring cute girls.
Probably the most polished game i've played during this LD. great gameplay and gimmick, feels like a complete product. I wish levels were more linear so throwing enemies around would become less of a luck thing but since they spawn infinitely it doesn't become much of an issue.
Pretty cool game in the style of old fps. Didn't run very well on my laptop but I still had fun. Has some clipping issues but that kinda stuff is to be expected for short projects like these.
Lovely game. I'm really impressed by the visuals. Music could be more atmospheric but it was still good nonetheless.
Feels like a very personal game and wears its Yume Nikki inspirations on its sleeves. It's hard as fuck but definitely worth it.
Man, this game is cute. I love the concept. The platforming was a bit rough but I can see how much soul it was poured into every detail within the constraints of time. The art is fantastic, and the shop keeper reminds me of Dana from va11halla, so that's always a big plus.
has potential to be addicting but doesn't have enough visual cues to tell what's going on. I'm sure once you figure out the mechanics it gets pretty engrossing. i honestly really liked it.
Lovely game, kept me hooked mainly because of how clear and simple the controls were, yet the challenge kept piling on in a way that didn't feel like it was my fault whenever i failed. the camera could use some work though.
lol this was pretty fun AND funny, i struggled to get there but managed to figure out how to use that cork.
Great atmosphere and concept. could use better sound effects for the damage but that's just a nitpick. great entry!
One of my favorites from the jam so far. Really nice comedic take on a stressful situation!
Love the mood of this one. Pretty neat and tight narrative experience, the mood is very zen and made me interested in this world. The graphics remind me a bit of panzer dragoon saga!
this is a very relaxing and focused game, i love how things keep getting more and more interesting as levels progress, though i'm most impressed it has an in-game tutorial!
Pretty good! for such a simple game there are mechanics that are well thought out that spice things up during its runtime. For example, the fact that the sunbeam moves is such a simple touch yet big enough to keep things interesting.
aaaaa loved this one, i actually got hooked to it for quite a bit haha. it's a really exciting game and picking up stuff to throw it when you're in a pinch really added to the feel. very good entry. font is hard to read.
Nice and short with pretty visuals, my only complaint being that the trees in the foreground make it hard to see what you're trying to hit during combat.
Good looking game, it felt like playing a quake tower defense. only nitpick is the sound but overall it was super entertaining.
i like games that are mostly a zen experience and this is no exception. and i can see that nier inspiration too, pretty cool!
really fun concept and gorgeous visuals, the colors are simply perfect.
The visuals are simple yet oh so effective. I actually think the game would have been worse off with music, as it's messing with the classic Asteroids feel. Gameplay-wise it took me a minit to get used to it but after that I got hooked tryna survive. Loved this entry.
A smooth and relaxing experience with some GREAT visuals to boot. A minor thing, but it could be better at communicating when you're "failing" since I suddenly got a game over and didn't notice. Might be a me thing, though, and wasn't paying a whole lot of attention (for good a reason, as I was just playing and being relaxed seeing my lil town grow!)
I wasn't digging the game at first (asking gamers to shoot every 10 seconds is a big ask lol) but then I realized what you were going for. I think. The game became more fun once it clicked that the intent is not to kill everything, but to dodge and use your precious bullets only during really tight spots. So yeah, it's neat. Just needs to communicate intent a bit better but that's such an abstract concept and it will never be an universal experience. But hey, trying is what matters most.
Super tight and concise game that knows how to keep it fresh. Visuals are also great where color and simple shapes do a lot to transmit a certain mood. Lovely all around.
I love the cute visuals and the simplicity of the game's loop; it's perfectly scaled for the time you all had to make everything. Had a bit of a brainfart when I glanced over the instructions, thinking I knew what I had to do - only to get owned by the ghost (I thought the salt was to keep it away, not for the door lol). I don't have any particular nitpicks outside of the often ridiculous difficulty as you progress, but that's just normal game progression.
Pretty good concept and I like the noisy visuals. Others have pointed it out probably, but it's easy to get stuck until you get a game over since the labyrinth generation has a nasty habit of trapping you without an exit. I enjoyed the simple hacking as it adds a lot to the game's intent within harsh constraints.
Lol, the music and sound effects were killing me the whole time. Good game and fairly addicting! only nitpick would be to choose better fonts and colors to make things more cohesive and give it some extra flair without extra effort. Still, great entry.
Probably my favorite entry so far in this jam. Simple, addicting and visually effective. It actually makes me a bit jealous that I can never come up with cool loops like these. Great work. Not even one nitpick from me.
Nice concept all around and very effective use of color to establish time periods. Surprising amount of content too for a solo entry. Only nitpick is pixel sizes being all over the place but I know how Unity gets when working the aesthetic so I'm not gonna be too harsh on that one. Lovely game!
Simple but effective flow that encourages exploration. Mysterious themes here too... that egg......
Much like everyone else, once I put my pogman on the board to lose against the rat the game stops responding. Animations and music are still playing but there's no prompts or anything to try again. Some graphics seem to be rendering improperly too, with textures cut by half (such as the "Fight!" text before an encounter) so maybe the necessary buttons to proceed are failing to render.
This is some lovely art style, and the mechanic is simple yet effective. With some extra lil things it could become one of those addictive "number go up" sorta games that people love.
The player sprite is funny as hell. The 2d elements didn't mesh with the 3d background, but something that would have helped is to make the sprites be affected by post processing! that would have helped a lot and it's only a few clicks.
I love simple concepts that focus on impact and effects looking and feeling good. Depth is not so much a requirement when my brain simply wants good feedback to my actions, so the depth here is the cherry on top with the upgrades and such. Really good entry.
This was a lotta work for 72 hours! congratulations. Very cool and atmospheric. I usually don't fw tweening motion but the camera was so pulled back it looked good. I'm unsure if you're meant to slip through platforms, but the fact it only happens on some of them makes platforming a little unreliable. I was also able to keep space bar pressed down to keep jumping once I touch a surface and I'm also not sure if that's the intended way of playing it. I really don't mind taking different approaches to old gameplay concepts, I just think they need consistent rules of interaction so it doesn't come across as unintentional design.
Neat game but it's not immediately clear what you're supposed to shoot at. The wounds all differ and blend in too much with the background. Would help to keep consistent iconography and contrast!
Excellent art direction and mood. The platforming elements were serviceable, which makes me think the game would be better off if it was just about walking through a trippy nightmare; triple down on that atmosphere and theme with minimal action elements. Sucks that the bug when you get hit is so prevalent, but otherwise this is an excellent entry.
