That was a nice idea, with some good interfaces, but the gameplay felt short and not really rewarding
Also I played with the xbox controller and I couldn't get used to the view y axis inverted, maybe let the option to the player ?
Good game, good levels, you're perfectly in the theme, nice job.
The fact that you can jump higher by pressing space bar longer is not that common, it took me 2 minutes to figure it out. May be you should introduce us this mechanic
Really nice arts, good music (can't note audio though), good dialogues and intrigue !
Small details, but when you talk to a NPC, they should face the player, and the player should not be in a walking animation anymore, it would make more sense
Everyone says it's a good game, but I don't understand, I get a quest but I have no idea what to do and the game isn't helping me.
I killed monsters 'till I had no ammo, and that was it.
May be an information is missing in the game ?
Edit: ofc do not hesitate to at me and I can give it another chance
Edit: Much better once you know you can craft ammos :laughing: but yeah the goals are not clear enough and my road was blocked many times Still incredible for a game jam though !
Wow, super travail, le jeu est magnifique, très original, le fait d'avoir les contrôles dès le menu c'est super bien pensé !
L'équilibre des dessins, qui sont sous forme de sketch, ça donne assez d'information sur l'espace, l'environnement, et ça laisse une grande place à l'imagination pour les détails, et le fait qu'il n'y a pas de bordures et que les transitions de scène se fasse dans le même espace par une fondu ça me donne parfaitement ce feeling de souvenir, de rêve !
Edit: ce jeu me fait penser à la carte du maraudeur dans Harry Potter
Beautiful game ! There are some issues, like after defeating the snail once, I couldn't exit the level because the "gate" disappeared.
The air control is hard, but the major thing you should improve IMO is the feedback you give to the player.
When I hit an enemy, I like when there are visual effects, animations, sounds, and when we kill a "big" enemy and it is just deleted it feels kinda weird.
Best entry so far, great idea and execution, love that cutscene, but was not easy to play on keyboard (maybe cause I have AZERTY keyboard ?) Fortunately you setup the controller input so I could play. I managed to win, but sometimes (especially at the middle pathway), we can't see what happens because the camera is in the wall.

I would prefer that the player stay at the center of the camera, because I ran into enemies and walls too often.
Also there are some bugs. One time I picked up a note and the camera started moving towards the bottom left corner of the map. All I could do was restart the game.

May be you could try to add some visual feedback like in other rythm games. For instance a green color if you are good and red if you are doing bad, and text like (Perfect - good - bad) every time you hit space
Not everyone has QWERTY keyboard, you should setup arrow keys as alternative inputs.
Also I would prefer that the gun firing automatically by holding the mouse button down.

The art is amazing, the story is great, the sounds are mostly good, but please try to read all the dialogues again and correct the mistakes (I spotted some typos like "al" instead of "all")

Great story but a bit disappointed by the ends, when you have a setup like this, I would expect at least one end to give an element of answer to all the questions.
The 3d world was cool, but I didn't like not being able to move the camera up and down.
I picked up the soap bottle but couldn't do anything with it, or maybe the feedback was missing idk.
So I couldn't continue playing the game..
It looked like you had a great idea, dounds and graphics are good, but there was hundreds of errors in the console, and the only thing I could do was fly around :slight_smile: Keep up !

Aaah the game looked cool and fun, but the controls are for QWERTY, I managed to move with the arrow keys and beat some enemies, but I couldn't purchase any upgrade :sob:
Also I spotted some english mistakes, be careful :smile:
I'm not the first to tell you that, but the brightness level is way too low. Not everyone has quality screens with high contrast, beware ! The controls are not easy, but with some improvements it could actually be fun !

Maybe you could accelerate the animation when the sheep jump over the fence to increase the difficulty !

But I think there is room for improvements on the audio. First things would be to increase the volume of ambient sound a bit and add a music

That's a good start but you will need to persevere to turn it to a really good game, you should playtest more and fix the problems (level, balancing, I went out of bounds, clarity etc.)

That's more fun than I would have thought, good game !
The major improvement I can suggest is to work on the audio, the music add some contrast with the game, but does not fit well enough with your theme of a penguin hunting fishes
And I would have liked some audio effects when you grab a fish or when you get hit
The style is good, but the controls are limited to WASD which is for QWERTY keyboard, but I have an AZERTY keyboard, so it's no easy to play. The animations are not clear enough, sometimes I take damage but I don't see the attack, and it seems that I take the damage the first frame of the animation, so I don't know when to block
Great visuals, good music, that was a good experience !
Now I can point out some flaws, when we move the camera around, there is a lot of screen tearing (google it if you don't what it is). This can be removed by enabling the vertical sync.
The option menu doesn't work when you pause the game.
There is no feedback on the player action, I clicked 10 times on water only to see the day after that I put to much water. An audio feedback of water, plus some visual would have been welcome.
Anyway, that's a good job and it lives up to its name !
Great game, good music and voice, but some sounds fx (when you hit a zombie) only play in the right side of the headphone

On the webgl version, the game is laggy, the controls are not responsive enough,
And with the high speed of your character, it was hard to play the game
I think you could ease the first points by reducing the speed.

First interaction is watering the plant, and the game tells us to right click, but it was a left click, that frustrated me because I tried for 2 minutes.
The game has really good graphics but I was disappointed by the car controls. You can't effectively adapt your speed, when you want to brake, the car goes backward, and every single time I tried to turn it ended up with the car spinning. I couldn't drive the car more than 20 seconds straight.
I'm sure with some improvements it could be a really good game, so keep working on it !
The gun shooting looks like the default UE template with a lot of gravity to the projectile which I personnaly don't like but the levels and graphics are great
You did a great job, the audio is amazing, the visuals are great it felt good to fly I thought for a long time I did no damage and my squad did everything, but maybe I hit some of them it's hard to know without feedback (at first I thought it was one hit to kill). Btw the AI is well developped The combat is not easy, it's a little bit hard to be precise on the direction I shoot
Good concept, polished game with audio and particles effects. There is a lot of possibility I love it

@arktas Thank you for playing and leaving a review ! I'm aware of a synchronization issue with the music in the web version of the game. The game is short so we wanted some challenge for the player and increased the difficulty quite a bit :)

The game is good and the world is big, I think this has a big potential. But I have some issues with the camera and controls, the camera rotates way too fast and when we attack we can't move or rotate the camera which gives a weird feeling
Fantastic game and great idea. The universe and the story are interesting. I found the first monster, the flying SLAY to be the hardest but it is the first we encounter.
The gameplay is quite simple but the story is everything and you did a great job with it
