LD46 — Keep it alive

Captain Coal by Jiri_One 2020-04-22T16:57:29Z

In overall, the idea, the concept and the mechanics are good. Throwing things to the fire is a little bit weird and difficult, but it isn't a problem. Graphics are good and music is cool. The game is so difficult and you don't have enough time to do anything before you die. The things to throw give you very little amount of fuel and this make the game impossible to play for more than 30 seconds.

The Messenger Assist by graebor 2020-04-23T12:33:12Z

The game looks and sounds fantastic. It's sort but very intense. At the beginning is a little bit a mess, you don't know what are you doing, but it's ok. A really good jam entry. Congratulations.

Keep It Alive by danman9914 2020-04-22T06:49:28Z

It's a short but cool experience. I really like this game and it's one of my favorites LD46 entries. The game feels very polished and in some moments you are push to the limit. That's great. The graphics and the music are so good and fit well with the thematic. The game mechanics are simple and intuitive, I can play it for hours if the game was longer. The humor is perfect and tell a story to the player. Congratulations for such a excellent compo entry.

ADRENA-LINE by managore 2020-04-22T06:23:54Z

It's a fast, addictive and well-made game. A very good entry for compo. I feel that levels are very similar between runs and this make the game repetitive after a time, maybe the procgen need some tweaks. The art is quite simple but is perfect for this kind of game. The game is very polished and the movement feels so good.

Attack on Lizilla by drkr 2020-04-23T14:14:42Z

It's not a bad game, but it need to be more polish. Graphics and sound are OK and the nuke is well done. With more time and work this can be a good game.

Emergency Call by rootools 2020-04-21T11:20:50Z

It's a simple and good idea. Some music will be great. Controls are very weird and complex but it is what makes this game different.

Guardian of the Seas by UberPuPy 2020-04-21T12:03:58Z

@black-flag We wanted to explain a little bit better how to play with a tutorial, but we run out of time. Thanks for playing, I hope you like it.

Guardian of the Seas by UberPuPy 2020-04-21T12:09:31Z

@cievers Yeah, at the end the sea become a chaos. Thanks for playing, we hope you like it.

Guardian of the Seas by UberPuPy 2020-04-21T12:11:20Z

@victor-reiner Thanks for playing and for your feedback, we hope you like the game.

Guardian of the Seas by UberPuPy 2020-04-21T12:11:58Z

@guille @ladislavodstrcil The game may need a little bit of adjustment on times and speeds to increment difficult or different levels. Thanks for your feedbacks, we hope you like it.

Guardian of the Seas by UberPuPy 2020-04-21T12:13:33Z

@abregado Thanks for your feedback. That's what we wanted, a easy to play game but fun, addictive and hard to master.

Guardian of the Seas by UberPuPy 2020-04-21T12:16:05Z

@snowirbis Thanks for playing, I don't know if it is a bug. Try to interact with the port buildings, if you can, you should also be able to interact with other boats. If still not working try refreshing the page and reloading the game.

Guardian of the Seas by UberPuPy 2020-04-21T12:23:29Z

@chocolat-endive Thanks for your feedback, we also think that we should add more difficulty options and balance the actual difficulty. We hope you like it.

Guardian of the Seas by UberPuPy 2020-04-21T13:02:31Z

@been We try to do it as intuitive as possible. Side the port buildings you can see a person with a number. This number indicates how many stranded or criminals you cargo and help you decide which port to go. Anyway, thanks for your feedback and for playing it.

Guardian of the Seas by UberPuPy 2020-04-21T20:55:44Z

@been We just released a update with some bug-fixing and improvements in game balance. We encourage you to play it and ask if you have any kind of questions.

Guardian of the Seas by UberPuPy 2020-04-22T19:05:59Z

@xbcw Thanks for playing it. We are proud you liked it

Guardian of the Seas by UberPuPy 2020-04-22T19:08:34Z

@j-c-one-bit-studio Yeah, the difficult curve is not very good, but we try to make easy at the beginning until the player learn the basic mechanics and concepts. Then, at the end, when you already know how to play, you need to try to survive as long as possible and it will not be easy. Thanks for playing it :smile_cat:

Guardian of the Seas by UberPuPy 2020-04-22T19:13:20Z

@matt2728 Thanks for playing it and for your feedback. We never think before that the bug you commented is a bug. But now, after thinking about it, make sense to solve it. We are proud you liked the game

Guardian of the Seas by UberPuPy 2020-04-22T19:15:22Z

@mehigh There are things not very intuitive at the beginning, we will think about it for next time. Thanks for playing it and for your feedback!

Guardian of the Seas by UberPuPy 2020-04-22T19:17:48Z

@javasaurus It's an interesting feedback. Making it a mouse-only game will allow people to play it on touchscreen devices. Thanks for it!

Guardian of the Seas by UberPuPy 2020-05-01T21:34:34Z

@igor-kingamer Thanks for playing our game and for your feedback. We wanted to add more types of upgrades, but we run out of time. The next time we will think more about the GUI design to make it more intuitive.

Cells by Gaming Night 2020-04-23T15:17:04Z

Wow, it's a really good game. Graphics are incredible and the concept is so good. The game controls feels very smooth and it's easy to play if you play the tutorial first. I must say that the tutorial is very good done. Congratulations, this game is a pretty cool jam entry.

Doomsday Deliveries by Human Writes Code 2020-04-21T11:08:16Z

It's a good idea and graphics are cool. In other hand, you are almost death by the time you finish reading the description of the house and you didn't find it yet. I don't know what is killing me, if I die because I'm so slow or for other reason.

Grove Guardian by VivianMochi 2020-04-22T06:37:22Z

I finished it in 16 days on my first run. At the beginning the controls was a little bit confusing but when you made to them, it's a fantastic experience. In fact, I may be able to complete the game in less time now after I had seen how to play. The game is not a challenge at all and I feel it easy to finish. This doesn't make it bad, maybe you can add difficulty options changing the amount of resources in the floor. In this way, you will need to be more caution with your actions in order to survive. The night feels a little bit empty and you mostly need to wait for the day to obtain sun. I have to mention the art, it's precious. I want to know how did you manage to do this game in 48h.

I was surprised with that big amount of content, mechanics, tree varieties, ... Congratulations, This is one of my favorites LD46 entries so far.

Keep the beat alive by Dukes 2020-04-22T07:04:11Z

This game feels so good. It's a kind of minimalist Osu! with obstacles you must avoid. I think the enemies make the game pretty difficult. It's easy to play but very difficult to master.

I love how the difficult curve was balanced. At the beginning there's no enemies so the player can learn the rhythmic mechanic. After a short, enemies start appearing and the amount in difficult goes up slowly but faster enough. Congratulations for such a compo entry. It's really cool.

Don't Let The Party Die by inacho_ 2020-04-22T17:25:06Z

It's a good concept and it's good executed. The game works well and I don't find any big problem. Graphics and music are cool. I will add and option to throw the thing you carry and then be able to take other thing. In this way, you don't need to carry the thing to their place before doing anything else, you can be faster and survive for longer time.

Attack on Dungeon by phantomeniasll 2020-04-23T14:31:36Z

It's cool and works quite well. I will add some music to make it more interesting. There are many enemies in the corridors and it's very difficult to survive there. Dash sometimes don't work or it's tricky. With some work and polish it can be a good game.

Negative Zone by Phoenix Fireflower 2020-04-23T21:26:26Z

Wow, it's a good game. Sometimes puzzles can be a little bit difficult, but if you think and try it you will finish it at the end. It's a very cool idea and controls are very smooth and feels good to play.

Forfeit REBIRTH by Hartvichio 2020-04-23T14:23:23Z

My best score is 1930. The idea is interesting and the graphics are cool. I will add some music during the game to add tension and ambient. Controls are tricky because when you are in the down part, controls are inverted. In general it's a cool game to have fun.

By Lanterns Light by rbeattie 2020-04-22T16:44:30Z

Sorry if this comment sounds very aggressive, I'm not as good with English and I'm trying to do a constructive criticism. The idea is good and there are a full variety of mechanics for movement and enemies. The graphics are good and sound effects isn't bad. There's a big problem with the lantern, it's so bright and you can see anything because you get blink by the amount of light. Another problem is the implementation of the mechanics. In general it's quite bad. The physics and the normal movement of the player are weird and feel like if you were slipping. The dash, high jump and fly mechanics are not as bad implemented as most of the other ones. I feel the game empty without music during the game-play. It will be great to have music during the game, not only in the main menu.

Rush Emergency by bardo 2020-04-21T11:28:53Z

I don't know how to play this game or what I have to do. I will add a settings menu to change the volume of music and effects.

Koita and the Elder Relics by Toasted Oregano 2020-04-23T14:58:28Z

Wow, this is one of my favourite game of LD46. The idea and the mechanics are so cool. Graphics and music are fabulous. The story is cute and feels good. Movement is a little bit weird and you can fly if you go to the invisible wall of the end of the map and jump. In general movement is weird but it's good enough to play the game.

If you make a full version of this game I will play it. Congratulations for what a good jam entry

PD: I love the main menu song

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Stuck in the Routine by UberPuPy 2020-10-06T18:09:19Z

@solmir2000 Thanks for playing it and for your review! We are going to fix most bugs ASAP, but we have a lot of stuff to do IRL. For this LD we tried something new, we had never done a game like this before. It was a new challenge and we did our best.

Stuck in the Routine by UberPuPy 2020-10-06T18:14:32Z

@nectanebo This time we go for a more story driven game. We really wanted to add drag and drop interactions and more complex "minigames", but this is LD and we run out of time. Thanks for playing the game and for you review!

Stuck in the Routine by UberPuPy 2020-10-07T14:05:08Z

@vcasadei Thanks for playing it and for your feedback! We will fix some bugs ASAP. At least, we were able to publish a playable game on time. There are a lot of things we wanted to do better, but we did our best.
