Great game! I like the polished look and the general stressing hospital mood there. However I found it hard to know how the next wave would impact my heart, but maybe it's intended. I was buying organs but had no idea of what to put next and if I would survive or not! Anyway, good job and nice take on the theme!

lairinlair 2020-04-21 15:09

First of all: the game is looking really gorgeous. Its kind of addictive. I believe it would be best if the player could see how much does he need to pass the next test.

hugo-kieffer 2020-04-21 15:33

really like the art style, the effects and sounds its create a really good mood, i was a bit confused at first but after a little while i started to liked it, good entry, good job!

gaming-night 2020-04-21 16:31

Hi! Thank you for your feedback. @anoushcat and @lairinlair The next attack level is intentionnaly not displayed. To be honest this point has been very discussed in our team and we do not all agree. I personally thought that keeping it hidden would add more tension. might not be the good choice. I'm glad you liked the game anyway.

jusw85 2020-04-21 17:48

I love the aesthetic, it's clean and minimal. A minor gripe is that after zooming out, I had some difficulty seeing the amount of resources I had. Gameplay wise, I had difficulty understanding the strategy to play the game, and how the attack level increases. Does it increase faster the more structures you build? Even after multiple playthroughs, I wasn't any closer to understanding how the virus level increases. In the end, I played it like an arms race. It seems like after the initial 3-4 waves, the viral level keeps going up and I have to constantly upgrade my resistance levels to keep up. The furthest I got was 1 orange, and 10-12 blues, all boosted, and I didn't have enough to upgrade resistance.

gaming-night 2020-04-21 21:42

@jusw85 Thanks for playing! Apparently, this is one problem of the game, we should have displayed the next viral level all the time! But you got it right, after a few waves, the level just increases constantly. It doesn't depend on your own development. Hopefully we'll fix this misunderstanding in a post ludum release.

Wow, it's a really good game. Graphics are incredible and the concept is so good. The game controls feels very smooth and it's easy to play if you play the tutorial first. I must say that the tutorial is very good done. Congratulations, this game is a pretty cool jam entry.

ashashza 2020-04-23 15:22

This is beautiful.

I had a good time playing. It took me a few tries to figure out whats going on but the sheer prettyness and intrigue kept me motivated to keep going.

Fairly early I figured my goal would be to gather enough resources to release the heart ... but I was confused about that was required to pass the next "level" test. It seemed kinda arbitrary and then suddenly I'd fail a test and lose. I think this could be quite easily resolved by showing players how much immunity is required to pass the next test. That gives me a clear indication of what's required and let's me make interesting choices about how to spend my resources to get there.

Besides the immunity requirement above, I thought the game was quite intuitive and managed to play through without doing the tutorial.

Great job team!

mrhassansan 2020-04-23 19:53

I admit, it was a bit difficult for me to understand the big picture of what the player is doing, but the visuals, sound design, and feedback all worked together quite well.

god-colo 2020-04-24 08:59

I really loved the graphics of the game! The music really kept you under tension! Greato Jobu!

linus 2020-04-25 14:23

As I haven't heard enough about viruses already

I like this game, it has a nice atmosphere and solid gameplay. I like that I can take the time I need to plan ahead and manage my resources. At first I thought the blue resource (I don't remember the names) was the only resource I need to focus on in the beginning so each turn I created more of those organs, however I didn't realize the quick growth of the cost for each immunity level. It is well balanced for this short amount of time.

Nice that you had a tutorial, I appreciate games that has ones but I'm not very good at that myself. It wasn't obvious to me that I could create organs my left clicking and then selecting from the menu even after going through the tutorial.

Very nice entry overall, quite dynamic gameplay.

boxedmeatrevolution 2020-04-26 15:11

I have successfully released my system!

Fun to play and figure out the optimal strategy. I liked how the organs were placed on a physical board, forcing you to think about the layout. I think this idea has a lot of potential for more in depth puzzles if you pursue it further.

This game is graphically stunning and has a nice atmospheric soundtrack. On my final playthrough I was able to release the system at virus level 9. Great entry!

deadboygames 2020-04-26 15:28

Awesome game. The ui and it's sounds were super satisfying! I also loved the idea of managing resources and trying to see further to the next turn to understand what choices should i make. Very good job!

mabrax 2020-04-26 15:30

The game is really polished. I liked the splash screen, menus etcetera. I played the original version, by trial and error, I was able to figure out the amount of immunity level that I needed. It is challenging enough. Nice job!.

ninjacatz 2020-04-26 15:30

I don’t know much about biology and medicine, but it’s immediately obvious that the developer understands these things xD. Graphics and sounds are very cool!

hwaet 2020-04-26 15:32

I really liked this one! The interface is very clean and satisfying, and I love the way it ramps up the resources that you need. A lot of biological things are exponential, so it feels appropriate, too. The only suggestion I can make would be some minor UI tweaks: a smoother pop-up when the user clicks to drop a new organ, for example. And maybe some bigger numbers, since zooming out a little bit makes the plusses look like minuses on my screen. I think this would make a really fun tablet game, and hopefully you'll consider continuing this one now that the jam is done. Thank you for sharing this game!

sam-minh 2020-04-26 15:37

I cost me a few tries to understand what I was doing, but when I did, it was a blast. The strategic gameplay was really interesting. The balancing of short term and long term game is really well done. I got to level 9 but I had no reason to make any of the green resource, and I only needed a few orange ones. It feels like there is something missing. I can also imagine that getting to the later levels you would have to micromanage a lot of blue resources. A very nice put together game that is visually pleasing and creates a great atmosphere!

aguahervida 2020-04-26 16:49

Great game :D I had fun playing it, the bg music is relaxing and the SFX were neat, the low poly style is cool and simple, but, and this may be my old pc talking, the game went from normal speed to suuuuper slow, because of all the objets in the game u.u

I would like to see a restar button from the Pause, I had to quit the game every time I made a mistake. Like, if you don't star with a blue cube you are fucked :/

Also also, I would like to know whats the next level, some times I was like "yeah, i got 3 points and next is 3 points" *clicks* *appears a number 4* - "no no no no noooooooo fuuuuack"

Overall a super grat game, really good job congrats :)

virimine 2020-04-26 21:23

Amazing game... Music is on spot and graphics are awesome! Apart from minor things that could improve the experience such as a restart button or minor things that are a bit confusing, especially at the beginning, everything else was perfect! I want a full version of that... Great job!! Congratulations!

lyrcaxis 2020-04-26 21:43

I really enjoyed playing this game! Extremely innovative and polished.

Excuse me while I have no actual constructive feedback on this one ^^

firecat 2020-04-27 12:31

Great game, feels short, which means it's good, couse i want to play more. My main issue is the low requirements for winning. I think you could force people to think more about their actions if they had to plan for more time and highten the cost of green structers and "release", so it would be more chalenging to do that. Great job.

trexxak 2020-04-29 19:47

Gorgeous aesthetics and presentation! I'm also really thankful for the in game tutorial, as I was really struggling doing anything on my first try. Good thinking on including that!

Stunning job all around. Thank you!

henrycgs 2020-04-29 23:17

It's awesome!! The graphics are definitely a major point. The UI is incredible, specially the 3D UI animations. It's super polished. You actually managed to include a proper tutorial which is impressive given the limited time. It did take me a couple of tries before I figured what I had to do (and that I could have more than a single "module" per type).

My main issues were the slow camera movement and the fact that the game didn't tell the level of the upcoming virus (which was specially punishing when, out of nowhere, it started incrementing by 2). But that were postjam version, so it was fine.

The sounds were good! But not perfect. At first they were cool, but after a while they got kinda tiring, specially the high pitched heart sounds. But that's a minor nitpick, don't worry :)

I still haven't managed to beat it yet, but my best was getting to virus level 12, with 30+ orange nutrients and 1 green nutrient. Really close to winning, so I might try again later!

This was a really cool and innovative take on the concept of using the human body as the "it" for the "Keep It Alive" theme. I also made a game about organs, but it was much less strategy sci fi than this, haha!

Overall, awesome entry! Best of luck!!

kaisean-games 2020-05-01 10:13

I liked this very very much.

The only thing I am still confused about is how do I know what level of virulence will attack me next? I can't plan properly without knowing that.

Maybe that was a design decision, but it causes sudden game overs, which can get frustrating.

cliff-lee-cl 2020-05-03 09:03

Awesome entry with stylish graphics and innovative gameplay! I enjoy the gameplay that I can decide to place my lung or stomach on anywhere I want and I love the art style! Simple and clean! Great job. :)

vernalbehemoth 2020-05-04 09:19

Amazing entry, so much fun figuring out the optimum algorithm to collect the necessary resources :) , as other people said it would be nice to see a warning if you are testing your immune system against a virus that is higher than your current immunity level (I saw that it tells you on the button but that could be clearer).

It would have felt a lot smoother if you implemented a way to drag yourself around the game rather than using the edges of the screen.

I you added a few more parts of the body and resources you could implement a complete body management simulator, I would love to play that! Maybe have some random events occurring to mix it up a little bit.

Really great and unique game (it is very hard to come up with something unique!).

Thanks for the entry, I really enjoyed playing!

tyfus 2020-05-04 12:49

All 5* reviews from me. The sound and graphics were brilliant and the gameplay was engaging. I'd expect that from a big team, not a single entry. The balance is great too. For future expansions, I guess some sort of synergy system between different cell types could be interesting, or perhaps that if you connect multiple cells of the same type with each other, they are boosted.

guladam 2020-05-04 14:59

Brilliant entry :)

I was blown away by the polish you made in such a short amount of time. It looks so complete and high quality for a game jam. Fun game, a solid addition to the resource management genre.

Well done! ^_^

ulcius 2020-05-11 22:54

Amazing graphics. Effect is truly mindblowing. Where it comes to actual game i thought that it was pretty simple at the beginning and that all i need to do is to remember what to do and when. And well it still comes down to it, but it's certainly not that simple. A failure-repeat process where you constantly need to remember to save some 'resources' and 'build' new ones suited the game topic so well. It certainly felt like iw as running test all over and over again, trying new things and new in order to succeed

I used to really love playing games like this, but now I only like to bet on sports. I just don't have enough time to play indie games like this. By the way, if you want to make good bets on sports, then I recommend you to read tips about betting on basketball on the site https://takebet.in/betting-tips/basketball. There is a lot of useful information for you.
