LD43 — Sacrifices must be made

Planet Saver by jmarkohun 2018-12-15T16:48:45Z

Nice game. The switching planets mechanic made my head dizzy after a while. The game was solid and very intuitive. The weapon sounds did not sound like a gun. I really liked it when those planets exploded, but I am not sure if that was the goal. Nice game overall!

Stand On Dignity by pndaa 2018-12-15T16:34:40Z

This is a great idea for the 'sacrifice' theme. Instead of playing the heroic knight you play the squire who gives everything but still is not appreciated. The amount of interaction really keep you busy in different ways. Great game!

Cannibal Town by Woetnie 2018-12-04T19:42:23Z

Funny and thematic game with the basics of what makes a good resource management game. Game overall is very slow and there was no feedback whether the altar was being build, I got stuck with it not being completed.

Eradicator by Linky439 2018-12-15T16:46:09Z

Very nice game, it was a complete experience from the intro, to the gameplay, the sound and the goal. I had some instances where my mouse left the game screen, but the arcade window really added to the atmosphere. Good game!

Screw them by RAC-Games 2018-12-04T20:02:57Z

This game is hilarious, from the opening trailer to the cow-hydra enemies you come across. The animations and sounds are amazing. My camera was locked in a very low position which made it very hard to look around. I also did not get what disassembling my robot friend actually did.

Castaways by DeadlyAlive 2018-12-04T19:55:44Z

Very good looking game and soundtrack. The gameplay is interesting but becomes dull quickly. The events really add to the experience with funny dialogue or interesting choices. The UI could is a little clunky and hard to control. The theme really makes the game come together in a overall nice game.

The Path to Vegetarianism by PhillSerrazina 2018-12-15T16:39:28Z

Hilarious and great game! The character slowly changing is what kept me going. The jumping is not always as reliable and the sudden meat attacks are sometimes frustrating. Great game with a great narrative!

Omitl by Rkuhl 2018-12-15T16:43:20Z

This is an amazing game for the Ludum Dare. The game itself is solid, there i an upgrade system, it fits the 'sacrifice' theme and above all: the mechanic to spawn in enemies yourself is genius. It even has good art, an amazing game overall!

Plushie Piler by shieldgenerator7 2018-12-04T20:17:52Z

I love the freedom in this game with piling the plushing, naming them and moving/throwing them around with a instant summon. The puzzles were nice and quick. The pysics were very glitchy and at some point game-breaking. Overall very nice game!

Electrocuted by Odlog Oglog 2018-12-04T19:49:01Z

Interesting premise for the sacrifice theme. The hallways were very long which resulted in the player not having a good overview of the puzzles and it also made traveling time very long.

Fly Lightly by Sitarra 2018-12-04T20:10:29Z

Very nice game. The opening story really sucked me into the game. The balancing meters was nicely done and very clear. The layout of the ship is very basic and could be more interesting. The sounds were good as well. After playing it for a while, you get a sort of optimized route you take and having other events or encounters could shake that up. After losing a member, you should be able to get him back or it is game over. Really nice game overall!

Views by arnau 2018-12-04T20:20:12Z

Very quick to get into. A very silly setting. The hit detection was sometimes off.

LD44 — Your life is currency

BloodMageAdventure by Demuss 2019-05-06T11:16:02Z

The transferrance of blood is a really cool concept. It seems that you need every drop of blood to advance to the next level which sometimes feels very harsh. The art is very concistent and sets the mood really well.

LD46 — Keep it alive

Alien Operation by joemid 2020-04-24T11:41:41Z

The game has the best atmosphere I have seen so far. The voice acting is very great, if not humerous and silly at times. It looks like a really well made point and click adventure type game. I sadly could not figure out what I was supposed to do. Maybe some more info would help? Nice entry!

Alien Intensive Care by Linky439 2020-04-26T15:09:21Z

Pretty neat looking game. I got stuck on the minigame with the blood and bandages, I didn't know what I was supposed to do. I really like the concept of having to be in sync with the heartbeat.

Cells by Gaming Night 2020-04-26T15:37:21Z

I cost me a few tries to understand what I was doing, but when I did, it was a blast. The strategic gameplay was really interesting. The balancing of short term and long term game is really well done. I got to level 9 but I had no reason to make any of the green resource, and I only needed a few orange ones. It feels like there is something missing. I can also imagine that getting to the later levels you would have to micromanage a lot of blue resources. A very nice put together game that is visually pleasing and creates a great atmosphere!

Sachka, Heal-sitter by Darklim Henwitch 2020-04-26T14:57:07Z

This was a real surprise. I thought I was going to play a RPG type game, but it turned into a social exploration of the guild dynamics I see in online gaming. It was a really refreshing and interesting ludum dare entry and definitively worth playing. The gameplay itself served it's purpose and was good enough to stay engaging.

Milk Dungeon by Kyle Bowman 2020-04-24T11:58:16Z

This game is hilarious xD For acutal gameplay I was confused and it's quite a basic bar management, but the theme and voice acting makes it all worth it. Also the first game where I want to show others the losing screen xD

YoYo - A Wacky Weapon Arena by PurrSum 2020-04-24T11:55:19Z

A very very good entry. This game is super fun to figure out. The upgrades are really interesting to explore and exploit. The combat is fast-paced and balanced. Also captain america + jojo vs robots is hilarious!

A Fairy Tale by pixnpickstudio 2020-04-24T11:29:26Z

Very nice atmosphere and audio. The mood is a 5/5. It's a very nice short experience.

Elnelis by Rodi 2020-04-24T11:16:03Z

Wauw a very good entry. It's fun and challenging. The art is very charming and the theme is solid. I don't mind the difficulty too much but checkpoints would have been nice at some point. Doing the same moments over again once you figured them out is not that engaging. Very good LD entry, nice job!

Space Junk by Nick Biglin 2020-04-24T11:44:45Z

A fun little game. Failry simpel but solid. The timing was difficult to get right for me.

Power Glove by Prothean 2020-04-24T12:03:06Z

The amount of art assets is ridiculous, how you managed to make so much is beyond me. The controls are clunky and the gameplay is difficult to figure out. Some onboarding would have been nice. There is a lot to explore but sadfly no time since you are playing on a timer. Overall a nice game.

Keep Them Alive by Prototype Jon 2020-04-24T11:06:09Z

I really like the mood of the game with the creepy music. The concept of the game is interesting and fits with the theme very well. I would have loved to see a bit more onboarding as the second level is already very difficult because of the bullets that were flying over the whole screen.

Le LÉGUME by OhMyGuigui 2020-04-26T15:13:55Z

This game is hilarious. From the artsyle to the theming. I have never seen it before. The game is very difficult. I had to have the whole disease chart on my second screen to figure out what I was supposed to do, and when I thought I knew my time was out or a new disease was already working away at the vegetable.

Eco Therapy by Slurp1e 2020-04-26T15:23:22Z

The game looks very nice and the music and atmosphere is well done. A very good first entry. Balancing bars is a very good start when making games. The next step would be to explain how to play the game to the player. - You could lock a few bars and objects at the start. This way you can prevent an overload of options and information to the player. Then they can explore the game in layers. - It was unclear what I could interact with. You could highlight them or add icons. Onboarding could also work. - It was unclear what each object did, a tooltip or some icons could help here as well. - The bars themselves were filling up very quickly and draining very quickly, resulting in a pretty fast game over state.

I hope to see you in the future!

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

PolyFury by Dom Harris 2020-10-07T18:34:10Z

A solid little game for the genre. The art was on point, it is simple yet crisp. It was slightly difficult to react on the bullets, it may be just because I need to get used to the patterns.

Locomotion Commotion by Sharks 2020-10-07T18:44:08Z

A very nice entry! Making the main menu part of the game world is a very nice touch. The upgrade system and difficulty seem to work very well together. The sounds were pretty harsh and monotome. Making them have a slightly random pitch would be an easy way to break that monotomy. Leave some more time for the sounds to die off, now they stop harshly. Overall very nice entry, you managed to do a lot!

By the way, I am part of 'The Battle of Neptune' team and I have to say that our game indeed has similarities, but I think you should buy OUR copyright :3 (come play our game too <3)

Loopy Orbits by Ziamor 2020-10-07T16:07:42Z

This is an absolute gem. This concept of moving your 'character' around towards a goal is really different and fun to control. Moving the palnets around and seeing the new trajectory is really cool!

Lot Fourteen by BumDag 2020-10-10T12:59:40Z

I always love me some escape room puzzles. This idea has a lot of potential, moving up and down staircases and ending up in the same room could be an owesome effect if done seamlessly. Gathering hints and coming up with the solution was really nice, escpecially with the voice acting. The movement is really slippery, slidey and way too fast. These detective games should feel slow and deliberate. Carefully walking around and explorering every nook and cranny.

I would love to see more of you in the future!

12 Space Diamonds by José Bonilla 2020-10-07T16:04:43Z

It is a very unique experience. Looking for the black holes and following the loops is really interesting. The cotnrols were uncomfortable and very sensitive. There was no incentive to shoot the asteroids. There more also not really a threat. Focusing on the main dynamic of a game, in this case, exploration and navigation will help focus you prject and polish it more. Overall very nice work and an enjoyable experience!

The Calamity Coil by WobbleBlocks 2020-10-07T18:10:08Z

This was a very nice surprise. If you made everything yourself and with just two people there is a lot to say.

The art is very nice. Making a character and animations in a short time is very difficult to do. The environment is also very consistent and pretty good quality. The sounds and voices are a nice touch and something you could easily get online. Putting spatial UI on the shield was very nice and a welcome change. (Look up diegetic UI, it's really cool!) The theme was strong and the text in the level was very nice. The dynamic between the shield and the archers was simple yet engaging.

Overall very nice LD entry and I hope to see more from you in the future!

(Also clicking fast makes me do multiple attacks quickly. That is pretty fun to exploit.)

Glitch Lab by Sharked 2020-10-10T13:14:02Z

An interesting entry. The idea is really cool. The art and aniamtions are really nicely done. The audio and music are also very good. The controls, while unique are very unwieldy. There is too little control from the player to make the moves they want. And the level was very restricting my movements, I would always go the wroong way.

A very interesting idea that might work with some more tweaking.

Temporarium by Eden Shazar 2020-10-10T13:07:59Z

What a unique game this is. It took some time to understand how to control the game and after I understood how, they still did not really follow my cursor. The art and their animations are amazing. The whole mood was very unique, I feel like there was more to be discovered in this wierd world. The gameplay feels very slow and sluggish. Either the life cycles could have been longer or the respawning could be faster. Escpecially when I got to a part where I couldn't get past one of those spiders time after time. Too bad the audio did not manage to get in, it could have really added a lot. Maybe for a future project scale the project so that some content might not be added, but at least every aspect of the game is present.

Overall very nice and unique entry! Keep it up!

The Infinite Parable by BenSlaney 2020-10-10T12:39:31Z

What a great game! This really gives the Stanley Parable vibe with a nice twist.

Looponaut by exopunk 2020-10-07T18:22:59Z

This game is a gem. It has a lot of potential for the future as well.

The art direction was solid. That attack animation is so simple and yet so juicy. Everything fit and was consistent. The blut effect behind the player and the death effect are really surprising. The sound was nice but a little repetitive, some random pitch changge can fix this. As for the difficulty, I don't think the gameplay itself is too difficult, I think that keeping your hp from the previous loop is too harsh, because that means the best way to play is to die after taking a hit to ensure better odds in future loops. The atmosphere was really outstanding, it was unique and different. The ambience and echo in the sounds added to the overall asthetic.

Power Flow Loop by shipster 2020-10-07T16:12:09Z

It's an interesting idea, sadly I got stuck on the second level. I also did not experience a higher jump with a larger ball size.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Debt Collector by thomz12 2021-04-28T14:52:24Z

This is a small but very polsihed game. The UI is very lively both in terms of animation and in color. The leaderboard was a very good move. It really gives a lot of replayablity for competitive people.

Acheron's Gambit by zarthas 2021-04-28T13:09:35Z

This is a cool rogue like game. The art looks really nice and the idea of having two seperate weapon attacks. I have to say the AI moves and reacts amazingly. Sadly I did not get very far as I suck at these kind of games xD I did not really know what I was doing wrong.

One-Butt Alien Corridor by PeachTreeOath 2021-04-28T13:48:06Z

This idea is really creative and cool. The atmosphere really made it. I would have loved to see some enemy sprites but the icons work to sell a tactical management game. The controls were getting used to but once I got the hand of it it was really tense and well done. I like the upgrades after each mission and the added enemy types. For the upgrades I did not use the grenades so iI never really got that upgrade, but since the turning mechanic is so inherit in your idea, an upgrade for increasing the rotation speed would be a really interesting choice to make.

The Legend of Water by darkfrost 2021-04-28T13:34:56Z

I love this entry, it looks and plays really nice! The art is super cute and looks very good. Animation is almost always a no-go during a gamejam and putting your characters on board-game like plates is smart and looks very nice. The balance seems good, it might be more difficult if you go to deeper levels. The levels did not go down in the UI, I got stuck at 400 meters. I would have liked to see the camera turned downward, I only got hit while enemies jump from off screen. And lastly the gem mechanic from your main weapon is a very cool idea and the reason why I stuck around to experiment, always love to see that. I would have loved to see that expanded more and have a more genrous offering of thos gems, in my 2nd run I never got anything but green gems. Good luck on your future projects!

Scython by BinarySpark 2021-05-03T13:23:54Z

@1studio Thank you for playing and even saying it is the best game you played so far  . We really appreciate it!

@miej Yeah, we could have definitely made a nice introduction and some context at the start. We will make sure to do that early on in development. Thanks for playing!

@c4scar Thanks for checking out our game after I checked out you're entry 'Into Conflict'! Glad you liked it!

Substate by beats 2021-04-28T14:27:37Z

I appreciate the text to speech. The game is quite hilarious albeit short, but sweet. It knows what it is and does that well, so good job!

DeepPsy by JoaoG 2021-04-28T13:52:40Z

I played it for a little bit but I got motion sick really quickly. Consider making the camera not bob around and keep the controls in the hands of the player.

Decisive Maneuver by bernard-bumblebutt 2021-04-28T13:15:42Z

The atmosphere with the sound and tension of this game was really good. The best part was pressing space and seeing the whole screen turn red. The controls could be a little more tight. The momentum was pretty well done but adding a counteracting force when truing the opposite way you are going would make the game feel more responsive.

Dragon Space by timeloopedpowergamer 2021-04-28T14:23:42Z

I like the idea of showing the emptyness of space and the text is pretty funny too. But I would have loved to see the standard mechanics of a clicker game like upgrades.

Deep molatoes by leggy 2021-04-28T14:36:19Z

Technically quite an impressive entry between the AI, stress meter and falling blocks. The gameplay was quite hard to control and would have liked to see a little more forgiving gameplay.

Goblin's Cave by Heine Hohenhart 2021-04-28T14:14:57Z

The atmosphere is really well done. The quick arrow keys minigame was actually pretty fun to do with some monsters roaming around.

Adam Wilks' Ant Colony by Adam Wilks 2021-05-02T10:53:37Z

Always love to see ant simulators. The tunneling and expanding is quite good. I feel like the main thing that can be improved would be the controls. I still don't know if selecting an ability, left clicking on an and and then right clicking is what I need to do, but at least one button could be removed there. The foraging, laying eggs and moving around are all very micro intensive. The best thing about these colony simulators is seeing all your little guys walking around and being productive.

Good work on your compo and good luck in the future!

Operation Gridius by flaxhass 2021-04-28T14:34:32Z

Into The Darkness by Ryan Romero 2021-05-02T10:59:20Z

A very unique idea! This is quite nicely made, the music and atmosphere work well together. The visuals are also very well done, especially the effects/filters of the fire and near the edges of the screen.

The controls are quite hard to use since not all fires are in the 8 directions that you can use using WASD. Making it use the mouse would have helped with this. And the camera is quite jerky when moving around.

Come back by karlhk 2021-05-02T11:08:07Z

Nice and simple game. The goal was super clear and there is no onboarding required, a big plus compared to many other entries! One of the things that could be improved is the visualization for the predators. The sharks are obviously dangerous, but the green eels fade into the background with the other fishes, especially since there is green seaweed with the same shape floating around. Use consistent colors/shapes for the things that are dangerous in your games. If you want to make it easier for people to play your game, consider using itch.io and/or making a web version. It does not take very long if you know how to do it.

Overall very nice entry, I can see it being a classic web game back in the day.

(Oh and the bass dropping the deeper you go is a very nice touch :D)

Into Conflict by C4Scar 2021-05-02T10:46:17Z

The concept is very unique, it kind of reminds me of a combination between Rebel Inc and Worldbox. I always love to see grand overview/god games. I don't mind simple graphics for a LD entry but I would have loved to see a bit more player feedback in what is happening.

LD50 — Delay the inevitable

Vomit Mage by jsec 2022-04-05T18:54:28Z

Its a pretty funny game. I had a good time launching magical glowing puke to kill some critters for a change. The art and bloom is pretty good, but the game overall is too dark to see anything.

ClickToJump by Boathd 2022-04-05T20:03:28Z

Pretty well done for 4 hours.

The 13th Colony by kristinamay 2022-04-05T19:23:45Z

A very nice entry. I got very immersed in exploring an alien world. Exploring around the planet and around the individual hexes was really nice. I encountered a bug where if you die and restart in the same session you keep the resources from the previous game, meaning I started with negative water.

Settling On Mars by Daniel Whittaker 2022-04-05T19:53:48Z

The visuals grabbed my attention immediately, especially the isometric title screen and the press-able buttons.. I like this kind of games a lot and I was not disappointed. The economy seems very explosive. In the first moments you can get your income so high that you can quickly take over all the resource deposits on the map. The meteor showers and laser towers are pretty cool. I do wish I had an end goal to work towards. As the end game for me looked like having to repair everything the whole time, which was starting to hurt my wrist. Overall very good game!

Life of an Intern by Dactarium 2022-04-05T18:35:47Z

I must say I am glad to say my internship did not involve assassinating people on the streets. The main menu is hilarious.

RESET by Kazuren 2022-04-05T19:13:55Z

This is a fantastic entry. It is simple but does what it tries to do well. The story being told has a very nice progression and finally. Forcing the player to take the action at the end is a very good way to make the player connected to the character and the story. The walking animation at the start is so very smooth it hooked me immediately. The sound slowly becoming more distored is also a very nice way to set the mood. The dialogue is nice and does what it needs to do. And the little quips about random objects is always very nice for player agency. Overall very solid entry, good work!

Defend the Earth by SeniorWombat 2022-04-05T19:37:50Z

A nice LD entry. The game over screen is really amazing. That alone deserves a good rating. Two pieces of feedback I would have is to make the controls more snappy and have way faster (or even instant) acceleration and deceleration. And the other thing would be to make the comets a little less quick. When they come from the top or bottom of the screen you have significantly less time to respond.

GrimTide: Delay the Inevitable by MartinK 2022-04-05T20:10:47Z

The mood and impending doom were really well delivered. As a fan of Creeper World, this game is right up my alley. I do normally preferer some passive way to protect yourself as the clicking can become very repetitive. I am also not sure about the buying aspect, it is fairly tedious. Overall very nice and well executed entry!

Nature Is Healing by KingOfSpill 2022-04-05T18:42:03Z

The mood is pretty well set up with the sound and the fog of war. The creeping plants were very well done. The effect that it spreads around corners and that little spots grow very fast is really cool. I wish I had more fuel and the fire would be more destructive. It felt very satisfying to blast away and burn the plants down. So facilitating that gameplay more would make it more satisfying to play. It would have been better if the movement speed of the player was always set to the sprinting speed without an additional sprinting button. There was no reason to not sprint.

LD53 — Delivery

Give It A Shove! by grid96 2023-05-05T15:32:30Z

Played it to the end. Its a good Ludum Dare entry. It works well and is charming. The boxes tumble way over the mark sometimes but not enough time to be frustrating. Thumbs up!

HMS Deliverance by Sherwin Claridge 2023-05-05T14:12:01Z

This is a very well done game. It reminds me of the golden age of flash games. The upgrades and auto aim was really good. I loved the old school "Mothership" acknowledgment, though it is used too often xD.

Some things of feedback: The movement speed seems to be based on how far your movement command is, which is not intuitive and results in some tedious behavior. It would be amazing if I could choose what upgrade to put on which hardpoint,t o have some custimization and expression of what I want to do. The missile aiming was not working very well. They had about a 50/50 to actually go towards an enemy. Maybe next time, you can foxus on having multiple versions of the same weapon and the same behavior. (Gun with slower projectiles but more dmg, higher fire rate but more expensive etc.) to get some more diversity without having to write new logic.

I really enjoyed this entry and my feedback is just to show how much I would love to see a concept such as this improved and expanded upon. Good going!!

Kingdom Post by Astoeth 2023-05-05T12:54:48Z

Inetersting twist on the delivery theme. The onboarding was difficult to understand. It would have been nice if I did not have to reset my orders everytime, but if the logistical lines you set up was done once and you only need to expand on your network instead.

The Simple Life: Expedited Edition by Somniac 2023-05-05T13:43:01Z

This game is a gem. The physics are really fun and the harvesting is really satisfying. The multiple stages is very impressive. The free resetting is well played since the phsyics can unfairly screw the player over.

Really enjoyed this quick well done game!

Delivered With Care. by Stevi60 2023-05-05T15:23:52Z

Nice charming LD entry. Well done! The controls are fun once you figure out that you can throw while in the air and that you can throw diagonally.

Package for the King by MatterLinx 2023-05-05T13:25:29Z

This is the best Ludum Dare entry I have seen so far.It is really polished and really fun. There are so many little details that make evetything very satisfying. The zoom in on conversations, the attack predictions, the options of managing your party. It is all really good.

I played it from start to finish and want to play more to try and get a different party composition together. I like that it is not punishing and short.

Veyr well done!

Asteroid Miner by BalimaarTheBassFish 2023-05-05T15:12:37Z

Welcome to Ludum Dare! I hope we can see more of your work here in the future. The premise is simpel which is good for your first jam.

For the main feedback: The controls are too floaty. The decceleration on the rotation should be way higher to make it more controllable. Then you can play around with the momentum of the ship as a whole if that is the challenge you want to introduce. Difficult controls are generally not the way to make a game difficult, they often make a game frustrating. You want the challenge to come from the mastery of the player and the control they can exert over the game.

Space Cannon Delivery Service by Chuckiee 2023-05-05T13:31:05Z

Nice little game. The physics and controls are nicely done. And the beat was a nice surprise too.

Red Planet Rendezvous by csimpson 2023-05-05T13:36:46Z

This is a well done game. I am personally not good at these but I do like them. I think you can improve the controls by making the same slightly slower and have some momentum in your controls instead of instantly rotating at max speed.

Caveman Express Delivery Inc. by Mezix 2023-05-05T15:18:23Z

A nicely polished entry. Well done! The boxing glove is hard to control, especially when you need some fine controls or whena box is against a wall. Maybe a bounce or a charging boxing glove could have helped with that. Similarly to the box throwing mechanic.

Box Dragger by ArtCrafter2999 2023-05-05T15:07:30Z

Nice simple gane. I love the polish and the presentation. A very clean artsyle and introduction. I wish the trucks came back quicker, I found it impossible to juggle the boxes long enough for the next truck to arrive.

Haitatsuin no kaeru by kartun04 2023-05-05T12:58:52Z

The artstyle and premise are really good. I got the idea for the game pretty quickly. The controls need some more work. The horizotnal movement is way too fast and it is very frustrating to get stuck in the snow. Especially since the hitbox of the slow is way bigger than it looks like. It is very difficult to get out of the snow again. It would be better for a player's experience if the hitbox was smaller and the slow not as extreme. And to make the snow stand out from the rest of the background, so they are more noticable. Some acceleration on the character would also help to make the movement feel more satisfying.

Mini Industries by IcarusDev2 2023-05-05T13:05:47Z

Its a very nice little game. It is very simple and satisfying in its simplicity. The economy inflates very fast and could use a little more challenge.

LD55 — Summoning

Hot Wax 🕯️ by TRASEVOL_DOG 2024-04-16T17:16:51Z

A nice variation on tetris. I love tetris and this gives a nice twist to it. It is very satisfying to see the candles slowlybe consumed.

Chicken Slayground by Zettelkasten 2024-04-22T12:10:00Z

Great entry, very funny and easy to get into. The artsyle is very cute and striking. The gameplay is simple but it works. I like the minigame of having to juggle two different things at once, in this case: a twin stick shooter where you kite enemies, but you want to draw the runes on the ground with your movement. It would probably have been more interesting if the runes were more necessary for the game, where they unlock progress to ending the levels for example.

Tristram by Rongo Matane 2024-04-16T18:28:49Z

This is a super polished LD entry. Very impressive what you managed to put down. It looks very good and is very immersive. Only point of feedback I have is that I want more direct ways to influence adventures. There are a lot of details and stats for each adventurer, but they randomly form groups and I have little control to swap or kick them.

Kalòmancer by BinarySpark 2024-04-22T10:51:12Z

Thanks everyone for your responses! We work hard to try and make this idea happen. Our goal was to allow players to create their own cards, but it turns out making a cardgame out of nothing is a lot of work haha. Glad we managed to get it working in the end .

@blank-3d the auto battle part was mostly done for scope. We wanted to make sure the card creation got in so we decided on an auto card battler. If we were to continue devloping this idea, that is definitly the first thing we'll look at.

@bjornstenlund the AI is indeed mostly random. We tried to 'program' the AI by giving them cards of the right costs to allow them to play them in the right order, combined with only giving them 4 or 5 unique cards to ensure somewhat consistent behavior.

@batisdark thanks for playing and getting to the end! Great to see you used the card creation system to overcome specific challenges, that was exactly the intent. I see you have a lot of area damage which seems appropiate for the final challenge.

The Birth*Day of Cthulhu by orangemagik 2024-04-22T11:08:21Z

The visuals and atmosphere are really good! The whispering is creepy, the artsyle is in-theme, the music is foreboding, the Cuthulu is cute .

Summoned Army by dasilvacontin 2024-04-22T11:01:17Z

Nice little strategy game. These kinds of ideas can easily be expanded upon. You probably want to have a bit more a-symmetry going on since this is a PvE kind of game. You can think of specific challenges the player can overcome and how a different unit composition or location can help with that. Display some obvious weakness in the eenmy placement but have them spawn more than teh player, so the player has to be smarter.

The Demon Ate My Homework by very dark lord 2024-04-16T17:26:39Z

This was a very charming entry, I love what you have done here, good job! The puzzles and mini-game were good, but the vibes were the best. I love that you guys did voice-acting for this.

King of the Pit by Alkemiste 2024-04-16T18:47:06Z

Fun concept, I can see potential to explore this more and expand on it. Well done!

Necromancer 101 by Ty Victorson 2024-04-22T11:54:33Z

This entry has a lot of potential. The ideas here are great and it seemed you guys had a great deal of fun making it. I think some things are overly complex and more effort than it worth.

The 3D world could have been left out, the interest of this game does not come from navigation, but of the feeling of growing your army of the undead and gaining power based on what you defeat. To make these decisions even clearer, having a 2D world (or at least fixed camera) with more confines would be better to clearly see a difference in challenge. For example: do you want to fight 3 wolves, or 1 knight and 1 assasin.

The combat also feels overly complex. Units have 2 different attacks, but one seems to be better than the other. So I would suggest not giving the player this choice. The interesting part here is not what you make your units do, but what kind of units you are putting on the field.

There are some other smaller UX improvmenets that would make the game much more smooth to play: - Have the targeter auto-select an enemy. - Have an "all attack" button. - Have my premake my army or a better UI to summon them, there are too many clicks before combat really starts. - Have the status effect icons be way clearer, and just skip the turn of the guys who are stunned. For this going 2D or pseudo 2D would have helped.

Its a lot of feedback, but I am only giving it because I had a good time, finished it to the end and I see a lot of potential here!

(PS: it seems you get the summon you select as default for free, so you get 2x of the first guy you come across, after getting the sword guy, I could stunlock everyone)

Decades And Dragons by Ein 2024-04-16T18:42:07Z

Oh no, is this how it is going to be?

Very funny and well put together entry! I love the vibe and the mechanics.

Horizon Assault by Lélek Hunor Kadosa 2024-04-16T17:54:08Z

I like strategy games so this is right up my alley, pretty good game! I tried out some unit combinations but found that the long range guy didn't really get countered so you can just spam it and win.

The tutorial was really good, it was comprehensive and had some good interaction to explain the game.

Dr. Kappasigma's Summoning Training by Crygos 2024-04-22T11:19:41Z

I loved this entry! The whole vibe is silly fun. The references to Brain Training were hilarious. I thought I recognized the thumbnail, it looked like the box of a DS game. Great game you managed to make in the time. Very polished and a complete experience. Kappasigma.png

Conjurer's Quest by Dywanix 2024-04-16T18:54:57Z

Some nice ideas here! Only feedback I have is that I often accidentlally touch the purple borders while not meaning to. Would have probably been better if it just blocked movement instead of resetting the map.

The Summoner's Trial by Avaclava 2024-04-16T17:38:23Z

I love the summoning mechanic on this entry. The gameplay is good and veried. Tehre are a lot of summons and possible passive bonsues to stack. I like to experiment with different builds and see what the game has to offer, which was cool to explore in this game.

Also, I love that the liens resemble the creature you will summon. <3 for the fishy

LD57 — Depths

Recursive Depths by mao 2025-04-13T11:30:49Z

This is a really cool idea! It is mind bending and hard tot rack for me but that is part of the charm. I got 12 points in the end.

Pits and Bricks by jimmothysanchez 2025-04-13T12:06:47Z

I really liked it! It is simple to understand and play around with. I really like games with a lot of freedom, which these building games have. I beat the hardest difficulty pretty easily. I am confident I could have gone on forever if I wanted to. I decided to stop it by spamming the barrels so the ball left the arena at 331 seconds with 3456 bricks made. There is a really easy strategy where you just spam the brick makers. I would suggest making each brick maker more expensive than the last so its not that easy to spam them. And maybe the 'player' that controls the paddle at the back can also get some powers sometimes to make it more difficult over time so there would be an end point where you would just lose. (Piercing, double damage, faster ball, curved balls). And for building it would be great if you could build the same thing consecutively instead of having to go back to the bottom bar menu to click it. And I would have liked a simple 1-4 button link to each building so you can quickyl switch to each structure. All in all, really good entry! Pits and Bricks.png

Rappel the Porter by Reuh 2025-04-13T12:36:34Z

I absolutely adore this game! It is funny and a great idea. The best moments when I needed to go a level deeper into my bag to grab something. A few parts of feedback: Items seemed to disappear on their own. Not just that they were destroyed, but I go a level deeper and go back up and they are just gone. I also did not like that they could be destroyed. I would have much rather they push each other out of the way or that you can lose hold of them. The timing windows are very strict, I like the stress to make sure I can get the item in time but I would like more time to complete that task, even if they give me a very bad rating. Failing funnily is better than stopping the task outright. Lastly I also got a request at some point to get an items I did not have. It might have to do with the bug that sometimes items just seemed to disappear. Overall great entry, I loved it!

Freak Waves by Rewzu 2025-04-13T12:14:31Z

This is such a good entry! I love how the waves look and feel. The foam of the water when you crash into it is super. What I mostly love is the feeling of going up and down the waves, it really feels like you are there and in what danger you are in. Loved it!

abyss by A0405u 2025-04-13T13:06:01Z

Its a really cool idea but I found it too difficult to understand how it works. I think I need to just spam the resource creation structures at the start and forget about them. The stone blocks are my solid pillars I think? But I can very rarely place them where I want. The beams can be connected and set in place with the stone and other beams, but I rarely was able to managed to connect them between 2 places, often they just had 1 connection point and the other was loose, so I could not make any structures. Its a really cool idea and I wish I could have experienced it more.

Copper Soul by Kamuniaft 2025-04-13T11:40:30Z

This was a wonderful experience. I love the setting and the vibe of this game. The over world exploration and event choices were a really nice experience. It was pretty cool seeing the board expand with each layer. My only complaint is that it was too short :)

DorfSlinger by gdman 2025-04-13T13:27:29Z

Really fun game. I really needed just a simple and satisfying game where I don't have to think too much for a change of pace, thanks! As for feedback, the early game lacks some more control of your dwarf to go in different directions. And the dwarf slows down too fast. I mostly just went straight down like a brick. Some more bouncy physics would have probably been more fun to play around with.

Earthcore Prominence by Lou Tremolieres 2025-04-13T12:11:09Z

The art and setting were cool, it was pretty hard though, the camera does not follow you very well and it is hard to avoid projectiles.

No Bottom by Manuel Cabrerizo 2025-04-13T13:09:50Z

Its a very funny game but very difficult to control. Mostly because I have no idea where my squirrel is in relation to the environment. Maybe some different camera settings and shadows could help with this. And some tighter controls would probably be better.
