That box dodging level is brutal... so many times need to dodge into tiny space... Took me a while to understand that "fill holes with packages" was just to throw one in each of them. I though there should be some indication, but spend some time figuring it out, before realised that i can punch a door now.

Splash screen is funny, though guy was wellspoken for a caveman :] Music and sounds were good!

First off, the cover art is amazing! The pixel art is very clean and the music is super nice! I didn't quite understand the gameplay mechanic though, I got stuck at the first level because I didn't know what to do exactly. I think a tutoriel would be a great plus to explain how to play the game. Good job to everyone who worked on it!

I think its doesnt work cos nothing happens after the dialogue in the second room

glory to the workers of the world

the implementation and the idea are very cool, I put 5 stars

obittner 2023-05-04 21:27

Really great and coherent implementation. I took a while to find out about the boxing glove and got a bit frustrated because of that. But once you figure out the controlls its really great.

I like the art, but i did not understand what you are suppossed to do(

quoc 2023-05-05 14:48

Love the art, but I also didn't really get it what I am supposed to do

mezix 2023-05-05 15:00

@quoc Yeah sorry about that, we didn't have enough time to code a tutorial :( You can check the descriptions for the controls, and maybe then you'll figure it out :ok_hand: Its basically just throwing packages into boxes and then getting to the end of the level

sam-minh 2023-05-05 15:18

A nicely polished entry. Well done! The boxing glove is hard to control, especially when you need some fine controls or whena box is against a wall. Maybe a bounce or a charging boxing glove could have helped with that. Similarly to the box throwing mechanic.

As other people mentioned, the artwork is really great! I also liked the basic mechanics. Personally, I don't think a tutorial is necessary for the first level, but I would add a small indicator, that "Throwing package into the hole" activates the door switch (maybing adding a light to each hole). I also liked the small dialogs, but I think the text is geting way too small to read. I stopped at that one level where I had to dodge those packages - that was way too brutal :).

mezix 2023-05-05 15:19

@sam-minh Good point! A charge could have helped with the finetuning and allowed for some more interesting puzzles :)

mezix 2023-05-05 15:29

@le-don Yeah I wanted to get to an indicator too, but sadly everything really only came together in the last six hour or so. I think I want to continue working on it, so I'll get to that eventually! Thanks for your feedback!

Nice game, great graphics, did't get it what's the goal but chef's voice was marvellous

erlioniel 2023-05-06 09:22

Hey there!

Played it a bit and not from the first time figured out what to do in the very first level. It looks like those holes on ground might have some additional indicator. As well I agree that box-hell level is rather hard (and for me actually laggy), so I wasn't able to pass it :sob:

On the bright side is a good music, characters, cover art and overall story! I love games with stories, because from my perspective it's really hard to put hands on in scope of LD. And it's really nice to see one!

Cheers, guys!

box-hole ambiguity and the movement being a smidge frustrating for precise movements aside, really addicting and fun and sounds and looks great

legromp 2023-05-17 21:52

Solid game but movement is too slippery
