LD53 — Delivery

Soul Delivery System by limered 2023-05-03T16:53:54Z

Super fun game and nice twist to a "vampire survivor"-like game. I played until I unlocked upgrade and had quite some fun.

For some reason many "enemies" (?) gathered around the edges of the map which made just running around the edges an (maybe to) efficient strategie. I would also have liked an upgrade to the collection range or soul speed. As the player gets faster and faster it feels like you are leaving all the souls behind.

Animal Ferry by Tony Li 2023-05-02T20:52:36Z

Very cool implementation of the old puzzle. I also really liked the sound effects and music.

Dwarven Delivery Service by furry-fire 2023-05-05T14:53:42Z

Fun little game and very polished. Took some time to realize you can still move the minecart while the package is in the air, but from then on it was a very smooth experience. I'm quite sure this game passed better quality control then my box :)

Don't get fired! by Zettelkasten 2023-05-05T13:40:12Z

Awesome. Funny interactions, lovely effects. I felt like once the boss starts raging after the prank call it's not longer possible to get anything done. Had a lot of fun playing a few rounds :)

Santa's Workshop by citsua 2023-05-04T18:28:32Z

Awesome Game and quite polished for a Game Jam. The only problem I had was that I often spawned (and got stuck) inside my machines/belts when proceeding to the next level.

Generated Adventure by gamescodedogs 2023-05-04T19:52:55Z

Very nice implementation. Amazing how you made the different ML work together and managed to create a congruent game.

I felt like an inventory would have been great as many of the object are quite obvious before you need them, and then you can not interact with them but instead need to backtrack later.

Delivereach by DroidDare 2023-05-05T14:09:45Z

Nice game and I really liked the minimalistic visuals. I had some fun watching the numbers go up, but at some point it felt like I just could click around frantically, and it didn't really matter where.

I think a great way to fix this would be to let drivers repeat the same route automatically (from the beginning or as an upgrade) This would turn it more into an idle game where you could spend your time figuring out the most effective routes or lean back and watch you delivering-empire rise.

30-second Deliveries by Sebastian-M 2023-05-04T19:20:01Z

Funny Game. I found the cannon controls a bit wonky and sometimes I not able at all to aim at the target, because it was outside my range of yaw. Still had alot of fun with it :)

Pizza Cat by DeadByDeath 2023-05-05T13:52:13Z

Nice Idea and I think also quite a good implementation. The cats are a nice twist to the pizza delivery mechanic, but I found it a bit too easy to kite them, so I rarely needed to throw them a slice.

Sky Drop by HagamosVideojuegos 2023-05-03T16:28:06Z

Nice and entertaining game. I think music and visuals really fit in with the whole theme.

I had a few problems with clicking out of the window and sometimes the balloon went out of frame so I could not longer see it.

Give It A Shove! by grid96 2023-05-05T15:32:20Z

Nice game. The art is very consistent, and the driving feels very nice. But I think the guy in the back needs a little training to throw the boxes more consistent or at least to announce how hard he will "shove", so you hit the delivery zones more consistent.

Potion Delivery by Ethernal Tech 2023-05-02T20:31:34Z

Hey, promising prototype. I really liked it. It was a bit frustrating to wait for the needed resources to spawn, especially the roots and leafs, which spawn random and do not have dedicated spots, like the fruits and flowers. And when delivering a potion the NPCs spoke a different language (I think Spanish, not sure though).

Pack It In! by Broccolly 2023-05-02T21:01:44Z

Just awesome. I think every thing fit together nicely. But what a steep difficulty curve.

Jurassic Part-Timer by TomatoLamp 2023-05-04T18:46:58Z

Very nice game. The whole package fits really well together. And the music is just amazing.

That you can steer left and right with the mouse but not up and down threw me off a bit. I always tried to steer up with the mouse first just to realize it doesn't work and then pressed the button.

📯 POSTAL HERO 🏹 by Caca 2023-05-03T17:43:49Z

What an amazing litte game you made here :) I really enjoyed playing it and scored a silver medal in the end. It got fined twice for dashing to close to a one-way zone without actually going trough it, but I guess thats still quite lenient compared to my reckless driving style :D

Rapid Delivery by Mikzam 2023-05-05T14:00:02Z

Hmm I might miss something here, but I'm only able to drive backwards. W or Arrow Up don't seem to work. I tried to play it anyway, but only was able to deliver one package before driving into a wall and with no way to change the driving direction I was stuck there.

Love at First Slice by Dan Allison 2023-05-02T20:14:36Z

Hey, well done. I found the delivery mechanic a bit repetitive after day four (I guess thats how you feel as a delivery boy) but kept playing to see the end. Well executed!

Slime Express by DurkaGames 2023-05-04T20:17:30Z

Very nice game. I found it a bit easy but I guess this could work very well for a younger audience.

I had sometimes problems opening the ability menu where I would just randomly grab one of the abilities in the upper row instead of opening the menu. I also found the intro text quite slow. Maybe make it possible to skip to the next text line instead of skipping the whole dialog. But I understand that this is not priority in the Jam.

Hound Dog Delivery by Chum Chum 2023-05-05T15:43:24Z

Very fun and cute game you made here. Since the last level took a few tries, I didn't get the felling it is to short for a jam game.

Gold Extraction by obittner 2023-05-03T18:14:17Z

Thanks for playing our game @jampla-games

The "little guys" are in fact cannonballs from your opponent. You can not block them with your shots (that was originally the plan, but we ran out of time). The idea is more to shoot the enemy weapons.

I just noticed the bug with building the walls as well. I will fix it as soon as I get the time.

I adjusted the description again with your feedback. Thank you.

Gold Extraction by obittner 2023-05-05T07:33:10Z

Hi @vilius

Thank you for playing our game and leaving such extensive feedback.

We are first-timers at LD and got carried away by our ambitions and in the end had barely time to finish our gameplay loop  Next time we will try to set smaller goals so we have time for balancing and polishing.

Gold Extraction by obittner 2023-05-05T14:31:12Z

@sylvic thank you for the feedback.

You're absolutely right, we aimed too high and really struggled in the end with what to cut. But LD hooked us, and next time we will know better.

Tracks 'n Bandits: Haulin' Cargo by Terquey 2023-05-04T20:38:55Z

Fun and very stylish. Took me some time to realize that I only need to protect the engine, but I think that is a good decision. I still feel like there are some unlucky situations where it is simply impossible to dodge everything, which is a tiny bit frustrating. Still very good overall.

Caveman Express Delivery Inc. by Mezix 2023-05-04T21:27:13Z

Really great and coherent implementation. I took a while to find out about the boxing glove and got a bit frustrated because of that. But once you figure out the controlls its really great.

Dungeons & Deliveries by sorreveloper 2023-05-03T17:12:21Z

Really cool concept for a game. Feels like something between a dungeon crawler & autobattler. If the levels were a bit more challenging and less repetive I could see myself sinking some hours into this.

Astacus Mechanicus by DeadlyFugu 2023-05-05T14:27:30Z

Cool concept and good implementation. I think the dreams are the highlight and I'm just to dumb for the puzzles :)

Famous Delivery Man by justslavic 2023-05-04T20:28:26Z

Very simple but entertaining sidescroller. It took me some time until I noticed that the packages weigh you down, but it's a great mechanic. Some passages felt impossible to master without running into a rock, just because if you jump over one you will fall into the next (or the one after that with double jump). And I feel like I have seen the delivery man somewhere else before :D

Delivery, Xtreme by anguium 2023-05-02T21:22:11Z

Top! Really entertaining anf polished game. Although I'm not good at it :)

I think I would like a more prominent effect before timers exipre, I sometimes missed deliveries which I didn't even notice until it was to late and I lost a life.

Forklift Certification Program by fries 2023-05-04T20:09:07Z

Pretty polished game. The forklift feels very nice to manouver. I took me sometime to get out of the tutorial as I didn't realize you can click the button. I tried pushing it in with the forklift or with loaded packages until I realized I can click on it.

Bubble Wrap Factory by Jampla Games 2023-05-04T19:40:21Z

Nice and very statifying. Levels had a good amount of difficulty: some you get first try and for some you need a few attempts. For the highscore I'd recommend to reset it back to the start of the level when you get send into the breakroom, so you don't get a better score when you're required to try again.

Space Postal Service by bad_fetus 2023-05-03T16:42:03Z

I really like the idea. Although I'm super bad at it. I got stuck laying on the side alot and needed to restart. I think the music is fitting and put me into a nice, calm mood.

Post it! by Mallok Studio 2023-05-04T19:01:04Z

Quite a nice mini game. It's not much but everything is pretty polished.

I think there is some potential for more advanced mechanics. For example you could be required to sort out letters without stamps or mail going to different countries.

LD54 — Limited Space

Micromachines by HolyBlackCat 2023-10-06T21:26:43Z

Amazing. Definitely the entry I spent the most time on so far. Only level 6 felt oddly inaccurate, it looks like the block is supposed to fall straight down into the socket, but most of the time it got stuck on the right edge, and when I pushed it to the other side it went over the socket instead of falling into it. Anyway, I managed to get it to work and played the whole game.

Tiny Farm Island by gamesplusjames 2023-10-04T15:00:43Z

Nice game. Despite the fact that you always perform the same actions, it doesn't get boring. Simple and potentially addictive.

Vessel Run by freamdev 2023-10-09T19:40:40Z

Nice mini-game. Feels good to juggle the models. If you gain some speed and then remove all the engines, it looks like the ship is going insanely fast and you don't have to use any slots on the engines.

Wide Truck Simulator by Byzilio 2023-10-04T14:40:44Z

What a brilliant idea. And a great execution too. Gives me the feeling of operating a delivery themed knight bus.

Tiny Tour by Bugord 2023-10-04T15:15:21Z

Great job. Nice little puzzle game. Amazing how many levels you managed to complete in such a short time. And with the look and music it is a real polished package.

Minecart Madness by jrf 2023-10-09T19:49:59Z

Amazing! This is addictive, especially in combination with the upbeat music. I also think it has the right level of difficulty. You always have to decide if you want to get the risky gems close to the wall.

Notable Deeds by Yheeky 2023-10-09T19:10:57Z

Nice entry. You really nailed the mood with the graphics and audio. I found the gameplay quite intuitive. For me it seems a bit too easy, I stopped playing after some time but never got into a room shortage, I also still had 4 of the 5 capacity left, I only burned a wrong certificate in the beginning.

Floodwater by John Gabriel 2023-10-06T09:02:05Z

Simply amazing. Great concept and amazing look and feel. Also the way you introduced new mechanics in a level without pressure makes for a very intuitive and not frustrating experience.

Control Your Luck by KinGelaim 2023-10-06T14:56:24Z

Very cute animation at the beginning and surprisingly challenging. I found the controls a bit weird, I feel like using both mouse buttons (like LMB to pull and RMB to push) would have felt more intuitive to me.

Traffic Tangle by WouterK12 2023-10-06T21:52:38Z

Great implementation of an existing concept. I love your attention to detail.

Packed to the Gills by npckc 2023-10-06T09:17:10Z

Very cute. Really enjoyed playing it. The music is spot on and the fish are so cute . Just as an idea, maybe prevent too many of the packed trains in a row. I had like 3 or 4 full trains in a row in the last level which really took the pacing out as you have to wait for the timer. I also really like the touch with the credits and that all the fish have names.

Bloomlight by pipiMa 2023-10-06T14:49:44Z

cute little platformer. I had some problems getting the plants to grow. Needs some polishing, like most jam games  but I like the mood already and enjoyed the playthrough.

Yuri Quest by ArtOfMacks 2023-10-06T15:11:11Z

The art style is very cute and the controls feel good. But for me it feels a bit unfair that enemies can shoot through walls while you can't, making it impossible to take cover. Great entry nonetheless.

Nice Park! by Barbabulle 2023-10-04T16:03:47Z

Amazing game. Looks, sound, controls, all on point. Level 11 drove me crazy. I had some problems figuring out which cars I could recklessly move out of the way and which ones were counted in the score, I guess you can't tell until you move them and see the green spot underneath, can you? Also, I would like to see a score that combines accuracy and time into a single number, so you have to make a trade-off between time and caution. Unbenannt.jpg

LD55 — Summoning

Forest of Madness by negator2vc 2024-04-18T16:24:30Z

Hey

I really like the idea of combining exploration with card games, and I also enjoyed the music and your drawing style. I saw the "win the game" card but wasn't able to gather enough exploration points to acquire it. 😞

I wish there had been more options and decisions to make during gameplay. Since the hand, resources, and damage aren't persistent to the next turn, it felt like my only choices were whether to play or rest. When I decided to play, I could use all my cards and then either kill or explore the most expensive card I could afford.

Great entry overall, I had a fun time playing it!

Spirit, are you there? by namnam 2024-04-16T10:42:28Z

Very cool idea. And so beautiful and cozy aswell. Kinda felt like "coffe talk" or similar cozy games where you are a bystander and listen in one the stories of your guests. I love these kind of games and would absolutely play more of this

Summon The Waiter by PromZona 2024-04-15T23:23:29Z

Very cool take on the theme. And you can (gently) spin cat :D can't complain

Mass Move Minion Magic by obittner 2024-04-17T16:52:04Z

@dymino Thank you for your feedback, glad you enjoyed it. It was indeed our first project with LÖVE and we really like it. We actually have a running web version. But it feels kinda laggy and instable in comparison to the native version, therefor we decided not to link it here. If you want to take a peek, you can find it linked and hosted in our GitHub repository.
