It took me some time to understand what I am supposed to do (did not manage to pass the 3rd clap round), but in general it was very unique, smart and dark. Nice try!!!
Simple, funny and very well implemented idea. THe only thing that I believe that you missed is some kind of music in the background. Anyway, good job! Keep up!
It is extraordinary how good the graphics, the mechanics and above all the music, are. I was stunningly playing the game feeling part of its world. And even though the mechanics are not simple they are well implemented and the game learns them to the player. In general I think it was a very solid interpretation of the theme with a lot of imagination. The only problem I had is that, because initially I tried to play it from my old laptop (Intel Core i5 8th Generation with no extra GPU) it was very laggy, almost unplayable. Then, because it looked very gorgeous, I played it on my PC (that has RTX 3060) and I faced absolutely no problems. One last thing, I believe it would be very nice to have some extra interaction with the world instead of just moving from place to place. You have the air flows that help with these, but I think in general if you had some kind of dynamic weather conditions that help your trip or making it more difficult, or something like this. Anyway, congratulations for the result one of the best games that I played on the jam!!!
Very nice graphics. Cool chill music and aesthetics. I enjoyed moving around in the city just watching the guys delivering stuff!!!
@bmanstudio Hello there, there is a known bug on Ludum Dare platform with html exported games created on LibGDX. I was not able to make it work, therefore I would appreciate if you tried the game on itch.io (https://thestbar.itch.io/pizza-cat). Thank you very much!!
@obittner Thanks a lot for your feedback! Sure the fact that the speed of the cats does not scale as the time goes by into the game creates this problem. Also, I think that probably if I add a little bit variation on the speed of the cats it would be even better since now you can stack all of them together (they use A* pathfinding to find the most optimal path to your position. Anyway, much appreciated for your feedback I will try to make some improvements!
@wilko Hello friend, thanks a lot for your feedback. The mistake I did is that since I build a grid/tile system to handle the collisions and the movements of all the objects I made whole tiles as "player can walk" or "player cannot walk on them". It would be better if I change it to use simple rectangles for collisions!!!
@aevek Wow, I think you just had a great idea!!! Such a small detail I think will add much much more "life" to the game. Thanks for the suggestion it will be prioritized :) Also, thanks a lot for your feedback!!!
@barce Thanks for your feedback! Actually I am planning to add scaled movement speed to the cats and also some variation on their movement speed to make the game more challenging and the cats more interesting! Again, thank you very much for your kind words!
@the-martijn Thanks for the feedback! Really appreciated it.
Indeed, I think it is not very good to the eye the fact that I use the default LibGDX fonts. It was a pain in the arse just to make them work and behave as I wanted :D For sure I will try to change them it will be a very nice addition and add a total score bar that says maybe on how many houses you brought pizza or something like this. Again your thought on how the delivery will be more interactive is really smart and I will try to implement it.
Again, thanks a lot for the feedback! Peace and love :)
@benk Thanks for the feedback. It is really appreciated!
I am actually trying to find ways to make the game more immersive. Maybe add a little bit more challenge to the player as well as give more life to the environment somehow.
Nice, simple and addictive game. The Christmas concept is very nice. I liked a lot the art and the mechanics of the game! Good job!!!
Loved the sound effects and the vibe of the game. In general it was a very fun little game to spend time delivering kittens.
I played it on my smartphone and I felt like you could have delivered the controls using a different mechanics, because initially I kept crashing into walls and in order for the speed of the car to be under control I had to put my finger at the top of the screen of the smartphone.
Anyway, the aesthetics of the game were simple and beautiful. Very good job in general!!! Keep up!!!
The concept is good and well implemented (I did not face any issues, the game was running well on itch.io). I did not manage to finish it because at some point the prisoners started teleporting away from me which made me lost my interest. Anyway, I liked a lot the experience and the result of your entry!!! Good job!!!
I did not try the game with the old controls. As I see people were complaining a bit about them. With the new controls the experience is absolutely perfect. For me it was a beautiful little game, the graphics and the aesthetics are perfect. Very nice idea and even better implementation! Keep up!
Without reading the comments here I would not be able to understand how to harvest the crops. It would be easier if you added extra instructions on how to play the whole game or, as others mentioned above, even add visual feedback to the user for when they have to harvest the corps (and of course how to do it). As I understand most of your effort was spend trying to make it work (from programming aspect) so you did not manage to have very good visual result. Also, the absence of real sound fx and feedback reminds me how important they are for the whole experience.
In general your idea was very nice and in theme. I think if you had some more time you could make it a real thing and it would really be nice to play. Keep up my friend! Good job!
Beautiful entry! I liked the aesthetics and the music of the game a lot! Very nice work! Though I faced some issues with the responsiveness of the controls, but in general the experience was very nice! Keep up!
For me the second level was unpassable. I did not even manage to hit the enemies. The core idea is simple and I liked the fact that you have to "deliver" the bird. The audio and the music of the game was very nice and the artistic element of the graphics was also something that I liked. In general, nice try! Keep up!
I finished the game. It was a beautiful experience. The puzzles were not a real challenge but the difficulty was easy enough to make you finish it and enjoy it. Good job in the details of the graphics and the immersion. Probably you might have used better controls (f.e. use mouse wheel to zoom in and out) but they did not create any problems. The sound and audio quality were good but nothing particular special. The theme of course was nailed!!! Very good job my friends!!!
Very interesting and special approach to the theme. I loved it! I spend like half an hour on the game. One of the best entries for this Ludum Dare. Thank you! Good job!!!
This game looks very interesting to me, but I did not manage to play it. I face this issue and I do not know how to resolve it. error.png
I had to check the comments to see how the game is supposed to be played. I liked the concept and the interpretation of the theme. The art, the music and the mood of the game are simple but very well implemented! Nice entry!
Nice idea and very good game. Even though I faced some issues with the snail boss, the whole experience was very pleasant. I liked the aesthetics of the game a lot!
Keep up!
I liked the aesthetics of this game a lot. It was a very fun and nice experience. Top of the notch pixel art! Good job my friend!
Very nice atmosphere in the game. I liked the music and the graphics a lot, even though the graphics were a little bit darker than usual.
Regarding the controls of the game I liked the fact that you need to invest time to learn how to fly the drone, though I experienced some problems with the drone being unresponsive.
In general it was a very good entry! Good job!
Oh the game was really hard and I was tryharding to even score 10 points, but I liked a lot the mood, the graphics and of course the idea of it. The controls were a little bit clunky and the fact that it was restarting when you were colliding with everything it made the experience harder, but in general I had a good time playing it! THe graphics of course were gorgeous (same thing applies to the music). Good job!!!
Great concept and very nice music!!! I felt really bad for the dogs :dog: Keep up!
Very nice idea and beautiful game, of course the only little complain that I have is the fact that I opened the game without reading the description, so I had to go back and learn some things about how I am supposed to play it  Good job my friend and good luck!!!
I loved the graphics of your game my friend! Beautiful entry and very nice implementation of the theme! Good luck!
The game was very fun because for some reason I was doing dumb things with my garbage vehicle. I believe no matter what game you are playing, when you are driving it instantly becomes GTA. Not to mention that my best score was something like -350 ! Nice try! Keep up!
Chill and calm game. Nice idea and very good implementation of the theme! The controls was a little bit clunky thoough and I was not very sure even when I was attacking the enemies that I will do damage to them, because it seemed like that sometimes it worked as expected but some others times it was doing its things! Anyway, very nice game! Good job! Keep up!
Really what can I say? This game is absolutely gorgeous (even though I spent a lot of time on day 6, this box on the top of the ceiling was like a nightmare). This game, given the time limitations that we have for the jam, is almost a complete game. Very nice graphics (I like the retro feeling) and very well designed sound effects, they add to the whole spooky, and at some places, horror experience! Wish you the best!
Cool little game my friend!
Screenshot 2023-10-09 at 13.39.05.png
I was able to finish it on the second playthrough! The only thing that was a little bit clunky was the shooting and the movement! For some reason when shooting enemies vertically it was not working as expected. Anyway, the graphics, the music and the sound effects were nice! The implementation of the theme is the fact that you do not have any extra space to go (am I right?).
Anyway, nice entrance and good job! Keep up!
My friend, you are crazy! I will print it to a A4 page to give it to my friends to play it
@gonzo13 Yes I experience issues even on itch.io, I am trying to resolve it ASAP! Thanks for trying :)
@cradac I was trying so hard these 2 days to make the executables to work, so I forgot to write in the description the little lore that I have in my mind about the game . I will include it ASAP. I have till now only 1 level so I wanted it to be a little bit more time consuming but I guess I made it a little bit too hard for the users! I will try to think some ways to fix this, too! Anyway, thanks a lot for your kind words and for the review my friend! Keep up and good luck
@nusan Thanks for the feedback, it is much appreciated! This weird physics thing with the double jump I think is due to how the Box2D physics library works (and of course the way I implemented the double jump using this library). The force that is applied to the dynamic body (the player) is the same no matter the height from the ground that they are, but something weird happens while the player is on the air (something like he is dragged more from the ground so the same force is pushing him less on the y axis). These things of course are some kind of speculation and I would like to dig deeper in Box2D to understand it. Also, I could not agree more with your comment about installing the game, but I built it with jpackage and this is how it works, I should definitely check how I could just create an executable (maybe I think that I could distribute the folder that is created from the installation - I am not sure if it's going to work, but I will check it). In general thank you very much for your kind words and for the creative feedback! Looking forward to try your wonderful "pico" entry
@constance Hahaha it would not be a real "chase" if he found Donnie at the end of the first level. Thank you a lot for your feedback!
@baconeta thank you my friend for your kind words! It is appreciated! They tearing on the screen is because I didn't add edge padding to the textures that I use for the tiles so when the camera moves due to interpolation some white lines are drawn on the screen. I am trying to resolve it. There are many things that I could add to make it more full, I am trying to do some of them, because I know that it is like a half product. About the theme, the power ups functionality was supposed to be the link to the theme, but still it refuses to work on the builds that I create . Anyway, thank you again for the feedback! Have fun!
@merdeboi Thank you my friend for the feedback and the kind words. Have fun!!!
@antoniothereis @aevek @noobgeek @dannysimo Thank you guys for the kind words and the beautiful feedback! It is much appreciated!
A very nice and salty game. I loved it! The theme was to the point and the music and the graphics were very polished. Of course after some time when the boxes are everywhere it becomes really messy and almost unplayable from the lag, but it is normal, because all the times that I got to that place after some seconds I lost because boxes started get into the pit and the boss was starting getting mad  Anyway, beautiful entry! Keep up!
Kids nowadays have no manners at all! The idea was funny and I liked it, but I felt like it was a little bit less interactive that what I would prefer. The graphics, the music and the sound effects were really yo the point and the design was wonderful! Good job my friends! Keep up!
Nice little game! Keep up!
I see cats, I love it! That's simple! Anyway, without jokes you did a really good job implementing the theme on this hell shooter game! Also, the graphics were very cute and the original music was very well executed and it was in parallel with the vibe of the game! Good job! Keep up!
Very nice implementation of the theme. The fact that you need to change the powers that you find in the levels and that you indeed need all of the given skills made it even better. The graphics were solid and the controls were a little bit to sticky for me, but after 5 minutes of playing with the game I was able to control the player without any problems. I would like to have some ambient playing in the background while I was trying to get pass the levels, but this is a minor problem! Very nice entry in general. Good luck!!!
The art of the game is absolutely fantastic. I had some problems till I understand how to hit the enemies because the hitboxes were a little bit awkward. In general I had a really good time playing it! Good luck my friend!
Given the limited time of the jam, it is really innovative that you decided to add voice acting to this tale. The story has real depth and even even though there are some really minor bugs it is very well executed. (I would like to add that the "style" of the narrator reminded me of Disco Elysium, a fact that made me smile a lot through the whole experience) Very beautiful result! Good job!
One of the games that I enjoyed most in this jam. I liked the characters and the original music was a really nice touch. Beautiful character design and interprentation! Good luck!
I had fun playing it. The first 4-5 tries I did not even understand why I was losing, then I saw the monster and I almost fell off my chair  The only problem that I experienced was that (for some reason) when I was turning the lantern on I had big spikes of lag and it was even worse when I was turning on the lantern while I was inside a house (or in general inside a building). As I see from what others are saying I understand that I did not manage to get that far into the game, but I liked the idea and the creative touch about the theme! Good job my friend! Keep up!!!
Really this game had one of the best (if not the best) implementations of the theme! This was really smart and gorgeous! Really nice entry! Keep up!
For me this game is a masterpiece (given the context that it aS created in 72 hours for the Jam). What can I really say friend! Keep up!
Nice idea! Loved the old school vibe it gave me! Keep up!
Little simple game! It was very fun and a very nice first try using Godot Engine! Keep up!
Nice work my friend. The game was a little bit hard, but it was exactly as hard as it should! Max coins I managed to gather were 9. I liked the music that was very to point! Nice little graphics. In general very nice entry! Good job!
Very nice game! Loved the graphics and the mood!
This game gave me very nice vibes, even though most of the playthroughs that I did were extremely wrong  I really loved the relaxing music and the beautiful and very carefully implemented graphics! Good job my friends and keep up!
Even though I played like 20 seconds to finish the game! The idea is very good and I think with what you got it would be easy for you to just create some extra levels to make it more complete! Anyway, good job! Keep up!!!
One of the best games that I played! I managed to get 2580 points! All the things were very polished, the upgrades were very good and it gave you focus for each day on what things to gather. Absolutely wonderful! Good job my friend! Keep up!
The music and graphics and of course the aesthetics of the game as a whole are incredible! You did really nice job. Sadly the only complain that I have is that especially with the spheres I was trying to move them to the place with craters for like 20 minutes and I was unable to do it. Especially, when some times one of them would stuck on a rock or something like this. Again, given the limited time of the Jam, the result is wonderful! Keep up!
This game was really interesting and awkward at the same time. I am the fast pace and the fact that you can just move into more and deeper dimensions at the edges of each map makes it easily repeatable and someone (like me for example ) can spend like 15 minutes playing it without thinking a lot of things! Anyway, in general it was good and I also liked the music! Good job and keep up!
The nice thing about this game was the fact that it gave you the opportunity to think while you were walking. At first I was afraid that it will have some kind of jump scares or whatever that could potentially ruin the experience for me, but the fact that it just created the right amount of anxiety to the player made it beautiful and deep! The story was a bit confusing for me as well, but in general very nice little game! Keep up!
I had some problems with crashing from times to times, but this was a nice game! Good job
I liked a lot the mood of the game and the dark aesthetics. The only minor issue was that the controls were a little bit clunky for me, with enemies stucking on the walls! Very nice implementation of the theme and the fact that the inventory was that limited really made it hard!!! Good luck!
Very nice implementation of the theme with the classic minesweeper recipe. It was a really nice touch these new added mechanics! Good job my friend! Keep up!
Wow, really interesting! Very clever idea to draw stuff on the screen to do spells. Amazing idea! Keep up! My highscore was 167!
Oh my friend, I laughed a lot with this one! Seriously, on the 1st beep I had this smile but then when I heard "Oh come on you are right there" I think you made my whole day! Nice try! Keep up!
I was not able to understand how I am supposed to play the game, for me it looked like I just had to close pop up windows! It was a really interesting idea and I would be glad if you would explain some more details on how to play it! Anyway, nice try my friend! Keep up!
Cool game, my friend! The art direction and simple and consistent. I like a lot the fact that you keep it so simple and it is really effective. Very nice entry! I do not know why, but I am unable to rate your game! Sorry, for this. If this issue is resolved just mention me on a comment and I will try to come back and rate your game! Have fun!
Nice puzzles, it was a very good idea! Good job my friend!
I love the way you interpreted the theme. It's always good to know that there are still people on this world that have compassion for all these bad things that are happening. I liked the music and the aesthetics of the graphics, as well. Very nice job my friend!
Oh man this game is good. Nice dark and loath set up. The game is interesting has nice music and graphics, though it was a bit harder than expected, but again very nice entry! Good job!
Wow this game was marvelous. I loved the music!
Downloaded the game on my phone, stuck to it for like 15 minutes. Great idea and very nice execution! Liked the mechanics and both graphics and music are great! Good job friends!
@badpinkchicken If you collide with them, they just reduce your energy a little bit. Each big fish can collide with you once!
Thank you for your kind words!
@busisen No, the music is from a royalties-free site (I forgot to opt out from music), you can find a link on the description! Yes, the number at the bottom is supposed to be your energy, so the only effect is that you cannot swim up when it is 0. Thanks a lot for your kind words!
@liquid Thank you for your kind words! Have fun
Thank you all for your kind words!
Nice and weird music and graphics. I did not really now what to do after collecting all 9 rocks (played the HTML/embedded version; maybe something are cut). Good job, though!
I think, it is one of the best games that I have played till now. It has very nice and carefully crafted design. Nice music, nice interpretation of the theme. Game gets hard really fast, but I am ok with this! Good job!
I finally managed to win the game! I had a good time it was (even though on some dialogues the voices were low, so I wasn't sure what they were saying. Good job guys!
Very nice game. I loved the dududu music at the start of each level  Good job!
The game is awesome and very addictive (stuck and played for more than an hour)! And.. I managed to save Drilda
Very nice little game, it was a unique interprentation of the theme. I liked this graphics a lot and the fact that you created multiple different and smart buyables from the store! Good job!
Cool and weird experience I would say. In general, I liked it and the fact that is creeps you a bit is what makes it unique. Very nice interpretation of the theme! Good job!
Very cool game and smart interpretation of the theme. I liked the fact that I had to use my brain and on some levels to construct a strategy. Very nice graphics as well! Good job!
I was not able to make the embedded (HTML) version to work! Windows version says "Not found" when I try to download it!
You got me with the jump scare at the end! Very nice entry and the game had really nice mood, being a bit spooky the deeper you get!
