Your HTML5 embedding didn't work right :(
Just got a working HTML build in, it is still a very buggy version of our game but should be playable. We will be putting out bug fixes over the next day or so.
Love the art and concept, though I had trouble figuring out what to do. There seemed to maybe be some misaligned interaction click areas, or maybe I'm misunderstanding the intent? Got to the hammer but couldn't find anything else to interact with. A mouse over indicator or mouse cursor change would help unless that would dumb it down too much.
The Windows build download seems to not be working also - seems to be working for other LDJam pages so you may want to double check and reupload if needed.
Yo! Tried playing the game, but unfortunately could not. The Windows download was not found and the HTML5 version did not load :c hope to check this one out again soon!
The embedded version didn't work. Also I get a "Not found" for the download link.
I was not able to make the embedded (HTML) version to work! Windows version says "Not found" when I try to download it!
I managed to use the only version, but I think I got stuck on some weird plane of existence with the boat in my hands. I think the game is not resilient enough to some user interaction :/ However the concept is nice, and the graphics are cool!
Both the embedded player and the download link don't seem to work :(
Please fix so we can rate your game
Beautiful art and interesting concept, but unfortunately I couldn't play the game as html5 doesn't work :(
First off, cool idea! With polish, I could see this becoming a fun game, kind of a weird type of point-and-click haha
For what I was able to play, I found it pretty hard to predict what would happen when I did different things. Like it seemed like I was mostly jumping back at the same places, but it seemed like it randomly would or wouldn't send me further into the background. I got as far as the fishing pole after 5 or 10 minutes at it, but couldn't figure out how to interact with it, clicking didn't work :/
I like the art, but it's very difficult to figure out in the game what to do, what would happen if I do something, and even how to move from one place to another. I know that there is a way to go form a boat to the background, but it seems pretty dependent on where I'm standing; and the route from a tree trunk to a rock (second plane) to the top of the road sign (first plane again?) to the hill on the third plane is very unintuitive. My gameplay was mostly clicking things that seemed out of place and seeing whether something happened or not... and I still couldn't figure out how to interact with the fishing rod. Eventually I just didn't know what to try next, so I stopped playing. Looks like a nice concept but it would need some kind of quide to finish (more than a finished image; maybe some kind of outline for all the objects you can interact with using a mouse at that moment?).
You can look at how Oxenfree marks the paths since it's a similar concept. (Though I suspect you knew how to do it, just didn't have time and it's just unfinished, which is understandable for a game jam game. Oxenfree still seems to be a good inspiration for that type of game, though).
This is great!!.
This is very creative take on theme, but I agree it's difficult to figure out what's going on. I got to that thing in last layer near column, but couldn't pick up, but somehow teleported to the boat and picked it and now jumping around, lol. Lots of fun. Good luck!
The game (web version) is either very confusing or very broken. I didn't manage to finish Level 1. However the art is nice, and if I understand what you tried to accomplish here, the idea is interesting.
