This is really well done; nailed the ambiance! The planet looks so happy to have a friend :D
Shazam!
Very well done! Difficulty, sound, graphics, and gameplay all feel oldschool. What a brave little dancing fighter robot :D
Those bunnies are really deadly.. Game is challenging but cute :P
Very serene! I love how the hotseat controls are right next to eachother when they don't have to be... Makes everything feel smaller.
This grizzled cube-man makes MacGyver look bad! Your game is marvelous; thank you!
Cool game, like the atmosphere... Flash crashed after a while though, upon trying to change screens.
Feels very polished, nicely done! Love the odd bird cheep when it gets a gem.
Music is nice, and I like the recycling of the 9x9 grid! Graphics are simple but effective.
Very nice take on a classic! Love the atmosphere; the little green alien guy is so serious. :D
Finally finished it! What a cruel little world! :P
Super cute graphics :) I'm not good at these games, but this was fun; well done.
Clever game, I like it :)
Fun and quite tricky gameplay :)
Clever little game :)
Nice concept, surprisingly fun :)
Great puzzle game! Visuals are nice too
Fun little puzzler! Nice application of theme :)
Relaxing, fun game! Nice use of theme too.
It's a bit hypnotizing! Fun little game, even though I keep dying :P
Cute graphic :) It's a clever take on the "tetris" type gameplay. For some reason it seems a bit laggy unfortunately.
Very cool game, I played it for a while :) Ended up getting stuck inside the bottom wall and had to refresh page though :/
Love the concept!
Cute text adventure :) Would be great to see more gameplay elements so that games last more than two seconds :P Also now I want potato
Very cute game, never played a 1D rpg before ;D
I like the concept, as well as your art. Tried fighting my cat as he walked across the keyboard... We both got hits off so I am calling that a draw.
Gameplay seems a bit unpolished in terms of combat, as "Test User" commented.
I love it! Spreadsheet sim :D Also apparently dragon > potato :(
Aww it's so cute :)
Interesting gameplay, trippy visuals :)
Hmm, got stuck on level potato..
Some cool gameplay elements here, and nice take on the theme. A fun game!
Fun and humorous :)
I like the controls, great idea :) Wish I would stop losing my purple guys off the edge of the screen :S
Cute game :3 Creative mechanic, too; I had fun playing this.
Sadly I ended up slamming him into a wall and got stuck :(
Feels very polished, this is a fun little puzzle game :)
This is pretty fun :) I don't think I have played a puzzle game before that required scouting! Clever ^.^
Very pretty game! Also I am a truly a terrible magical artist, game is right! :P
Cute game, spam is apparently nectar of the gods.
Interesting concept, pretty fun for a while.. Also my eyes hurt now, thanks :P
I agree that some minimal graphics would aid the gameplay, but the game is good comedy as-is, however unethical as it may be to cook a potato. Well done :)
Clever game! Gets very tricky, I like :D
Woo, so many promotions! .. Oh wait ;(
cute game :)
The idea of a text adventure using hyperlinks is intriguing; more interaction with the story would be welcome though.
Beautiful game with buckets of atmosphere! I generally don't care much for platformers but this is great. Nice work :)
That is quite the character :) Fitting audio selection, goes well with the retro look / gameplay.
Cute little game, really like the art :)
Nice simple multiplayer. Was only me and one other person online when I tried it out, but it was pretty fun nevertheless :)
Beautiful graphics and ambiance. Short but enjoyable experience!
Great work done in only a weekend. Always impressive to see voice work in jam games too.
This is awesome! Amazing amount of content and polish for a jam game. Really satisfying mechanics.
Really cool and well thought out game. Love the tower designs and colour choices. Impressive that you've added a full tutorial to a jam game too.
Looks like the scaling on the tower sprites in-game is a bit off with the default resolution.
Really unique gameplay and great implementation for 48 hr!
Nice game for only a day of work! Adding some simple sound effects would add a lot and not sure what the game is written in, but disabling filtering/aliasing on your images would look a lot better I think.
Wow! Nice work! Very cute game, love the graphics and voice lines. Selfie mode was a nice addition.
Great game mechanic/use of theme, dig the colour palette too.
Love the aesthetic, especially the water movement.
Great combination of game mechanics, makes for familiar but unique gameplay! Nice colourful art as well. The player hit box could be a bit more obvious maybe.
Great frantic gameplay, pretty difficult for me though.
Great gameplay mechanic. I found it surprisingly hard to think of right letter shapes to pick!
Fun mechanic, but definitely pretty difficult for me! The enemies are a bit hard to get a good angle on.
Love the art you've done for this, fun take on the theme. Hard game for the uncoordinated.
I've lost work before in OpenToonz, regular autosaves are a must now, but I usually use Krita for simple animations.
Very cool look and colour choices. I think I got lucky because I escaped on my first try.
Thanks everyone for the nice comments and good feedback. There are some clear areas to be improved that people seem to be agreeing on.
Really cute game with great presentation. Satisfying to see the destruction when I lost. The pattern of car spawns seemed a bit predictable, but after enough time it's too chaotic to notice.
Hey, looks like you forgot to include a link to your game
fantastic scope and execution of a game jam idea. A little more contrast between blocked and empty tiles would be nice, but hard to come up with much to criticise!
Fun and felt like a well fleshed out gameplay loop for a short jam. Wasn't super clear to me the benefit of bashing enemies or upgrading the bash action though
Does what it says on the cover. Excellent music bring the whole vibe up.
thanks for playing! agree on the camera angle + visual indicators, will fix those in a post-jam version
Always amazing what a polished and cohesive project you're able to complete in a weekend. Multiple world with distinct tilemaps and music were fantastic and the movement and gun system felt really solid.
Sonar is a great mechanic to go with the theme, and I like how you implemented it! Audio for getting chased was a clear indicator and good for building tension.
Cute, I love the presentation and art style you went with. I wasn't very good at it, but it was a fun gameplay loop.
Murder mystery is a tough genre to try for in the compo, nice going for that. I like the aesthetic and murder below the sea is a fun take on the theme. I feel like the evidence for accusing could have been a bit stronger, like more of a smoking gun, but still managed to get it on the first guess.
Whoa, fantastic atmosphere and mood. Pretty straightforward gameplay but kept me engaged the whole way though. Initially thought the screen effect was my graphics glitching out before I caught on, great effect.
Impressive doing the compo with a new engine for the first time! Especially with other things going on in life.
Immediately reminded me of diving for rings/weights in the pool as a kid. I can definitely see the vision with a few more upgrade mechanics and some difficulty progression.
Great use of the theme and I liked how you used the puppet show to frame the concept. The levels were a good progression of teaching new concepts and I can see how this would get built out into more levels if you wanted to. Initially relation between the depth and front view wasn't clear, but quick enough to catch on. Maybe a visual indicator for the front camera viewport while in free cam mode could make it more intuitive. Great entry!
Great first compo with the number of enemies and complexity included. I found it a bit unclear what I was supposed to do when there were multiple things on the screen at the same time, and I think I sometimes died to something offscreen, but really cool idea
I really liked the concept, good take on the theme. Hitboxes and movement made everything play pretty well, but some more gameplay changes as you go down layers would have been fun I think.
Once the gameplay clicked for me I was really sucked in, felt really satisfying clearing out sections of the map. Going all the way back to the top to reload was my only gripe, felt it kind of broke the flow of the game when I had to do that, especially as you got deeper down.
Super strong visual design, everything about this feels really polished. Really like the progression with depth/fish size/upgrades making you want to keep going. My favourite arcade-type gameplay this jam so far. A full-screen button would be a great addition to better appreciate the art!
Pretty fun game! Controls and gameplay were solid, and the music really stood out to me as excellent and helped to pull everything together well.
Short and sweet! The climb up mechanic could have a better visual indicator like you mentioned, but good idea and I liked the overall concept.
Cool one-room game mechanic, the events and hallucinations caught me off guard. I think I would have liked a bit more progression for difficulty, or more incentive to use the cameras over the sonar, but it still kept me engaged the whole way through.
I really loved this. Great gameplay mechanic and ending. Like others said a bit slow retracing your steps when you are dying a lot, but a pretty minor gripe overall. Great amount of dialogue to flesh out the atmosphere.
Solid, if short, little action game. The time spent on the boss sprite is noticeable, it looks great. Controls felt like they could use a bit of fine tuning, would get stuck in attack animation before the boss telegraphed anything, though it could be more of a "pattern learning" fight than a reaction-based fight. Also nice to see LOVE getting some use, this is the first one I've seen this jam I think.
Cute and unique idea, I love seeing any kind of voice acting implementation in jam games. Some kind of simple or idle activity in the end area, like platforms or targets, could make listening to the script more fun :) Surprised at how long it went on for, that's some dedication to the concept.
Love the art and concept, though I had trouble figuring out what to do. There seemed to maybe be some misaligned interaction click areas, or maybe I'm misunderstanding the intent? Got to the hammer but couldn't find anything else to interact with. A mouse over indicator or mouse cursor change would help unless that would dumb it down too much.
The Windows build download seems to not be working also - seems to be working for other LDJam pages so you may want to double check and reupload if needed.
Great art, once you add the sound effects and visual feedback I think it will really tie everything together amazingly
very cool arcade-y gameplay loop, I liked the intensity ramp up and the UI elements were great
Great take on the theme and gameplay mechanic. I'd love to see this get fleshed out with some multi-night progression and adding new mechanics as it goes on.
Clean presentation and easy to pick up on the mechanics, I can imagine how you'd expand on the idea if you had more time. Feedback on the up/down controls wasn't as obvious to me, but if I was better at it I could see it being useful.
Solid engaging gameplay loop and the 1-bit really worked with the idea. Only minor issue I had was the water + bucket mechanic wasn't visually clear to me, but only a small thing.
Really impressive depth of mechanics you implemented, a ton of different block types and powerups for a short jam game. Someone could really spend some time figuring out the optimal strategy for high scores I bet.
Really great presentation; colour palette, audio, and art style all worked really well together. The movement was definitely more realistic to moving underwater in a heavy suit which was an interesting change from the other platformers I've played from this jam. The momentum aspect made getting over some of the ledges feel a bit awkward, but I'm guessing that was the intended part of the challenge.
Visually and mechanically very interesting, though I wasn't sure if the game was trying to drive me toward any specific goal. I'm not very good at bullet hells to begin with, but the bullet pixels were hard to see and I found myself getting hit without noticing where the bullets were coming from. Still, quite a fun game and I like how unique it is.
I really like the concept and presentation, though I think I got stuck where I had a mass pile of steaks I was too weak to pull and couldn't grab any dynamite that got stuck in it. Really great food models and cohesive art style.
Great art, especially loved the portraits. The collision damage and movement wasn't too intuitive at first, but some interesting mechanics as you get into it.
Impressive ambience and you were able to create with limited time! Also, love when any voice acting is used in jam games, great stuff.
Solid sound effects and good controls matching the level of gameplay. Wish the progression of new mechanics and difficulty was a bit faster, but good job on the # of the levels created for a short jam.
Audio effects and the how the feeling of momentum transfer really shined for me. Good build up of mechanics and difficulty too. I think a checkpoint or ball respawn mechanic would have been helpful for me though.
A little janky in some areas, but a impressive entry working solo using your own engine. The game runs really smoothly in the web build which is impressive. A think a little bit of money tracking/UI could be a small touch that could do a lot for giving the player a bit of progress feedback.
Very true to the theme, I just wish it didn't pause when backgrounded so I could just let my collectors do their thing :) Felt a bit slow to progress and build up the upgrades, but that's in the context of the LDJam review gaunlet of getting through multiple games.
@kinn thanks! glad you were able to try out the multiplayer
@martingonn Yes sorry, I didn't add a fullscreen option so the window captures the mouse to control the camera rotation. But hitting escape should bring the mouse focus back if needed
Cute full game experience, enjoyed the cohesive vibe you were able to create between the music, art, and dialog from all of your team.
This was a lot of fun, I just wish there was a bit more of a timer buffer to start with to mitigate the RNG a bit. Art is great too, overall really solid single-screen game.
Very cool battle mechanic to switch up the usual collectable fighter gameplay. Appreciated the the in-game tutorial to start off also. Since the fighting is kind of a puzzle game, some of the fights felt a little same-y, but still a very good system to create within a gamejam limit.
Also ran into some issues with the camera resetting occasionally, but still playable. Really like how you implemented the different pocket dimensions and your take on collecting. Big fan of the textures on the drink machine too. Occasionally items would become not grabbable, so maybe a bit more guidance on the rules or controls would help the flow of the gameplay.
Not sure if I saw everything there was to see, but impressive the general mood you were able to create with not too many individual pieces. Interesting experience and very unique in direction from everything I've seen this jam so far.
Great stuff, impressive work nailing down such a cohesive compo game between the art style, audio, and gameplay. More stuff with the ramp boost and level challenges would be awesome, but great for the time limit you had.
Cute art style and surprisingly large number of dialog lines you fit in. I like collecting taxes as a take on the theme. A few text lines got clipped, but not a huge deal. 1 or 2 other game mechanics on top of the option selection could help break up the gameplay getting to 500, but overall cool complete game experience.
Awesome, great work putting together a fun gameplay loop with a bunch of different card mechanics. It got to a speed where I was struggling to keep up pretty fast, but fun none the less!
Very interesting game. I loved that physics on things was included even though it was unnecessary for the gameplay. The whole look and mood reminds me a lot of Blendo Games games. I can see the ambiguity of not knowing the truth or outcome being part of the whole concept, but I think there could still be some sort of indicator or consequence added to help drive the feeling of player progress. Really great game and execution of your idea, can definitely see how you could build this out into something bigger.
Very nice art direction and general mood on this. Movement felt a bit weird, but also added to the kind of strange environment you had. Accidentally felt out of the mouth, so a respawn or restart button would be nice.
Conceptually this is really cool and I like the approach to the logic puzzles. The UI/UX kind of got in the way a little bit, but overall this is a really strong jam entry. I think it would really shine with getting all the game art, UI, and text just a bit more visually matched.
Quite the beast you are, Mr Crow. Simple gameplay-wise, but good story telling and great use of sound effects. One thing that could be a good addition would be some visual difference in the player and crow dialog. Like different coloured text, a label for who's speaking, or different fonts just to make the conversations read a bit easier. Cool jam entry!
Interesting and surprisingly engaging way to read through a character's thoughts. The clue collecting didn't feel too interactive in terms of just gameplay, but just as a way of delivering a story I really liked it. The machine translated English seemed good to me.
I love so much about this, the whole look and gameplay is right up my alley. Enjoying all the different takes on the theme like this one. The billboard sprites with the court works really well visually. Also had the players stop playing after 3 minutes, but still a really great self contained game that kept me engaged the whole time.
This is adorable, good number of sprites and marbles to check out. It was pretty easy to cheese the computer players to beat them, maybe a bit of variety in how the CPUs and different marbles play to switch up the progression would be cool. Good game!
Even though the assets were from other sources I think you did a good job assembling them together for what you needed. I didn't really get the message of the story, but I could see it being interpreted a few different ways. Always appreciate when people put in the work to add voice acting for a jam game, great job on that.
Straight forward, but fun and seems to me like feature complete! Gives off the impression that you had a full concept for the game and managed to complete all of it in the time limit. A little bit of audio could add some weight to the gameplay, but otherwise really impressive work for your first time working with Unity.
Beautiful character portraits. Like others have said, just the management and design for a team this size over 72 hours is it's own type of accomplishment. The differences between the towns and their economies was not super obvious to me, but still was easy enough to make money. Overall very impressive game.
No luck for the performance issues linux: both compatibility and forward, and the web build in different browsers unfortunately. It looks pretty ambitious as a first 3D game though, and I like what I can see about the enemies! One thing to check if you haven't already is the release vs. the in-editor performance. I've had a few Godot games export where I've missed something and the release build runs a lot different from the game run through the editor.
Good variety of weapons and upgrades, and just a good gameplay loop. Would have liked a few more movement options if I was nitpicking, but very fun jam game overall!
Cute, I appreciate the gameplay's change of pace and objectives from most of the other jam games. A little bit of rng causing a small seed stockpile, but overall a chill experience collecting and organizing my little indoor garden.
Story and visuals were great just missing a bit more gameplay, but I know how that goes trying to fit it in a weekend haha. Cool short little self contained experience.
Cute art and good job establishing a really cohesive look between the UI, 3D art, and colour palette. Level and puzzle design I think are some of the hardest things to get done in a gamejam so great work!
Cute visual design and great progression of puzzles. Always impressive to see people able to design this many levels over a jam. With my lack of puzzle solving skills I got stuck before the end, but still very fun! Great entry and implementation of the theme.
Love what you put together for the one-screen type gameplay. I'm usually pretty bad at these everything happening at once type of games, but normal mode was pretty manageable with a good difficulty increase. Wonderful direction with the style.
Very neat, even if I didn't fully understand it! Really impressive how much personality you were able to give off with thoughtful style choices and so few visual elements.
I love when people do voice acting for ludum games, great short story and presentation.
Cool concept, can easily see the potential for how it could be expanded with more levels and mechanics. Audio from the echo source would add a lot to the gameplay like people have said. Great work!
Neat idea, and clean presentation! I wish there was a bit more info or feedback from the game on how to convert and retain customers though, I kept upgrading towers but still was losing customers so there may be some game mechanic that I wasn't understanding. Cool jam game though, and love to see management-type games done with this theme!
Awesome game, and cute ending. Good progression of new mechanics and difficulty, easy to see how this could continue to be built out! With how the final product turned out it really feels like all 3 team members were on the same page working on it.
Really impressive stuff, great gameplay loop. The quality of life polish (a tutorial, good controls) felt really high which is all the more impressive as a compo entry. Some audio, more cards to play, and a win state/goal to work towards would add a lot, but the map generation and core gameplay loop is excellent.
Cute game! Fun mechanic for the theme and introduction of systems per level. I ran into a bit of stuttering playing on Firefox, but seems like it might just be something on my end. Would have liked to know more about the bat and the person on the score screen!
Wow, what a mood you've crafted between all the elements and the writing. This amount of solid dialog within a weekend is really impressive. Frustratingly bureaucratic and had me invested for the whole thing.
Impressive stuff for a jam game. Love everything about the style and presentation, colour palette and the plane model especially. The audio was also really a standout for me, music fit the style perfectly and everything about the plane's audio design was great.
Cool gameplay loop and implementation! Controls and goals made sense to me, but I think a bit of tweaking to make the movement feel more arcade-y could work really well.
I like the gameplay a lot, very good implementation of the theme and style that complements the gameplay. A bit challenging to control, but that's hard thing to get right for all 3d space games. Snapping to the satellites felt great, though the camera reorienting itself after was a bit disorienting. Very cool entry!
Fun, you really nailed down the gameplay loop! I could have kept going after it resets at 5 minutes! Gets a bit trivial to stay alive after enough upgrades, but nothing a bit of fine tuning the balance can't fix.
Cute! Implementing the theme into a familiar gameplay loop is a good idea. I think you could expand on the idea even more with the echo location aspect to add new mechanics over the core flappy bird gameplay.
Gorgeous art, like everyone has said. Right off the bat the smoke animation and framing of everything makes the atmosphere clear. A bit more feedback on the combat and controls would go a long way. I kept dying and it wasn't clear to me what I was doing wrong, but maybe that's just a skill issue.
TIC80 game, awesome! I don't think I've seen a ludum game using it recently. I really like the art and style within the limits of the engine. I couldn't pay much attention to the flavour text at the bottom while moving the characters around, with is too bad since it looks like you put some effort into writing a bunch of dialog! The backstory and hero profiles are a nice touch too.
Great world building and story with limited set pieces. You nailed the feel of the puncher mechanic and audio which is a small thing but really ties everything together for me. Fun to imagine the backstory and what's going on outside!
Not super intuitive for me at first, but once I got into the groove I really got into it. Building placement was a bit finicky and could maybe benefit from some more indicators, but that's a pretty common issue with similar games. Fun gameplay! 2026-04-25_15-14.png
One of my favourite takes on the theme so far, very cool idea. Appreciate the write up for the dev log too, a challenging concept to convert to gameplay. Maybe a lot of controls and rules to keep track of in the context playing through multiple jam games in 1 sitting, but on it's own very manageable and strikes a good balance between gameplay systems and fun for the player.
I am not good at this and my home got wrecked haha. I did struggle a lot with matching sounds to cats especially when they popped up close together. Adorable art and I really like your take on the theme for the gameplay and concept.
Great aesthetic, love the vibes and writing.
Very charming game. Surprised how quickly I got overwhelmed with the cars and wish I was better at it! Love the art style and the design sketches you shared, font and colour palette choices are also really nice.
Cute, a very well rounded and cohesive game for the compo! I love when people put voice acting or self-made sound effects in jam games so this is right up my alley.
