So so impressive!! This is what I thought everyone did for LD (before I learned how anything worked) so this is very inspiring! It was super satisfying to walk around and collect the gold, really nice juice. I did have a couple visual issues, some z fighting on the ground, and the enemies were invisible? Wasn't sure if that was deliberate or not but it was kinda a fun challenge, the particles were still visible! Awesome work!

Salvage Dogs by James Dunlap 2025-10-09T23:43:18Z

Really cool idea! I love the graphics and the ambition of the game! And the music totally slaps that was awesome. I really I think the round timer was rough, at some point I was just a cabin of the car and I was balanced on an enemy and had to just wait there for 3 minutes lol. Nice work!

Bone Collector by Antti Haavikko 2025-10-10T00:48:39Z

I loved it! Favorite game I played so far. I loved the art, especially the animations which were really nice. Also I enjoyed bopping to the music. Picking the right dice was an engaging mechanic, I got into a nice flow state just listening to music and rolling dice. I hope you explore the idea more, but also keep the simplicity (I dont necessarily think like FIRE dice and EVIL dice that have negative numbers and whatever else gets added to a roguelike would make this more fun). Only negative note, I think I was able to cheese by rolling dice and healing in between battles. Great work!

ScrapheapSprint by sketchycode 2025-10-08T00:47:37Z

Space QWOP! I loled when I got spinning around super fast and shooting lasers. I think this is a really clever idea and is worth pursuing more with more complex tasks. The limited time to build was stressful but I get the deisgn decision, people arent meant to make a nice normal ship! I do wish there was a bigger hitbox on the items, I kept just barely missing grabbing the little rockets and guns and losing time (playing with trackpad on my laptop). Also the way you could break your whole ship after clearing the level when you accelerated felt a bit unfair. Super cool game, nice work!

Dirge of the Sleeping Bell by Jiffy 2025-10-09T00:09:17Z

So cool! Cool writing, awesome vibe, interesting puzzles, just really nicely done!

John Highland and a Special Golden Crown by VladImperator 2025-10-10T00:08:32Z

This was really fun! I got into the flow of trying to place my limbs properly, and it made me laugh whenever all my feet were bunched up in one of the cracks. I think it's cool how there's a balance of placed you can reach without risk (3 planted and 1 limb moving) vs places that have risk (2 planted, 1 moving, 1 dangling). Nice work!

Bug Bequest by Bea 2025-10-08T23:58:45Z

Neat game! The feeling of picking up the bugs is enjoyable, kinda the same itch that stuff like powerwash simulator scratches, just tidying and returning order to things. I found it hard to figure out what to do initially, but I liked the drawing mechanic. I assume there was some more scope here that didnt make it in, nice work!

Skullk by picttarge 2025-10-08T00:19:33Z

I really love the retro graphics! I think the game was a bit basic, one easy thing that could have helped was just upping the movement speed and maybe allowing jumping for that kinda bunnyhopping boomer shooter feel. Nice work!

Can you give me a hand gesture? by She Wrote 2025-10-08T23:43:47Z

Very cute idea, I beat it! Tip for anyone lost - try the same gesture rotated both ways! I wish at the end there was a little screen with all the gestures, I didnt get to see the name of the last one after I worked so hard to discover it! Nice work!

The Lair of K'olekto by feor 2025-10-08T00:32:11Z

The spells were really satisfying, each one had a fun mechanic to learn and try to use in the right scenarios. I didn't grasp the purpose of absorbing the souls, even after reading twice. It was all a bit complex!

The Collector by Kazuren 2025-10-10T00:18:00Z

I liked the art and the ending! It was nice making my soup and sharing it with all my friends in my cozy cottage! Also I really liked that the ingredient were hp and you couldnt die, that made any potential frustration with the platforming or enemies go away, smart move!

Reapers' Toll by dualithe 2025-10-08T00:07:57Z

This was fun! It was really satisfying to to line up big hits and hear the scythe hitting everything. I think if you developed it more just doubling down on that satisfying feeling would be super fun! One issue, I was not sure whether the health regen was working? Maybe the value was just very low, but I tried a tankier build with regen and it seemed like the health bar never went up. Nice work

Crystal Tower Luxogenics by orangeoceans 2025-10-08T01:50:40Z

Such a cool concept! I loved setting up the laser super carefully initially, and also realizing that I could use different lasers at different times, like some lasers that covered the start of the path then switch over to other lasers as enemies got further down the path. I also experimented with pulsing lasers, like the poison and ice very quickly just to get the status effect then go back to damaging. Overall I had just a great time! I do wish the controls were a bit smoother, the the laser maybe could have 16 or 32 fixed positions instead of smoothly rotating, and i'd like to rotate the laser in place not use a slider (basically I want a gizmo like in 3d software lol). Really really cool, I hope you keep exploring this idea further!

Arpeggio by Emilija Marija 2025-10-08T01:16:07Z

This was fun, I liked the art and the sound design was great. I loved the little foot pitter patter it was such a nice detail! Also the metroidvania style unlocking movement abilities to navigate was quite satisfying. I did rage quit the sprint section, even with it unlocked the timing was so unforgiving!

Pigment of your Imagination by Ranarh 2025-10-10T00:24:16Z

Nice relaxing game! A little ending would have been nice, maybe just some music coming in or something to let you be satisfied with your work. How was your experience using Defold?

body, birds, drop by tercs 2025-10-08T00:12:56Z

Really nice art! I agree the movement of the background was a little intense, it might depend whether you have a better or worse monitor but on my old thinkpad it was very overwhelming. Overall a nice vibe too!

Anthropocene Museum by ACartlidge 2025-10-08T02:16:15Z

@derek-glennon nice ideas! Yeah I was trying to figure out how to make it more of an actual game because on the final morning it was just "place art, wait, buy art, repeat". The collection system was a lowkey (ie rushed!) way to make that happen. There are still some balance issues, like why would you buy $1000 art at the end when it's only $10k to unlock the final room to win? Maybe moving unlocks off of money would help with that! And I like the idea that you would get bonuses for showing patrons what they like. I think it would also be funny if patrons could hate art, like maybe they see it and run screaming!

Dragons Hoard by Luna-Smol 2025-10-08T01:01:46Z

Cool concept, I played twice because the loop of prep->fighting the big enemy was really engaging! I think there was a lot of rng, specifically in which kind of items you got. In my second playthru I got >6 consumables and had to forfeit a bunch while still not having any additional armor or weapons equipped. I don't think there would've been anything wrong with keeping the rewards static and expecting that players play thru a few times to learn the exact right sequencing. Being efficient with pathing and picking items and stuff was a very fun part of it! Overall really nice work, I had a lot of fun!

Stargazer by ProtoHere 2025-10-09T00:16:57Z

Really nice relaxing game! I got 4560. I really liked the idea of making constellations with different effects, but I couldnt really tell if that was happening or if it was just big combos as I played. Also the sound was very jarring, I wish it was something more cozy and relaxing. Overall really nice job, very creative idea!

C-C-Collector by Discomorphine 2025-10-08T01:58:31Z

Really nice art! I agree with the other comments that the box was fiddly and it wasn't clear what to do when the first screen came up, I thought it was frozen until I smashed buttons. Once I got into it I had a really nice time, I especially liked the effect of the water drying up. Well done!

LD59 — Signal

Bons Baisers de Roquebrise by Kerdelos 2026-04-23T23:18:41Z

Cool game! I beat it. In addition to everything else people said, I really thought the pacing was excellent and I think I could learn from that. I heard somebody say you should be adding something new every 4 minutes to keep people engaged and I feel like you hit that timing for me. It was pretty art -> what are these characters up to? -> oh I am guiding ships -> ok im getting a bit bored -> oh INTERESING what's this mysterious thing, and so on. Really nicely done!

Cookie Signal by Kurakurture 2026-04-24T23:50:38Z

This was cool! It was surprising how satisfying it was. I got to 3,697 clearly can't hang with some of the other commenters lol. Nice job!

Singing Space CEOs by Jack Maxwell 2026-04-25T00:02:42Z

This really made me laugh, the drawings and voice delivery were so good. I kinda struggled to discern what made a song good vs bad, but I had lots of fun making weird noises regardless.

Jim's Quest for Birthday present by Sobigdrasil 2026-04-25T20:35:24Z

Wow the art is so great! I love a game like this where you keep making progress and getting better. I knew I'd be playing til the end as soon as I saw the upgrade shop lol. Really great work!

Pioneer, Arecibo, Voyager by JamieOK 2026-04-22T21:59:18Z

I agree with the other comment! I love space stuff and the opening text got me hyped, but the controls were quite difficult. I would also argue they didn't support the "fantasy" of trying to find these extraterrestrial signals since I would associate searching for signals as methodical, needle in a haystack, carefully tuning a radio knob kind of work, not this mechanic where you need reaction times and to fight inertia. I liked the graphics and audio and what I could see of the storyline a lot. Nice work!

Follow my ski-gnal! by Ansible 2026-04-24T23:06:07Z

It made me laugh trying to control both at once, for some reason my brain decided my left hand should be giving signals backwards and I had to fight that. I think the best decision you made here was recognizing this game could be crazy frustrating and not making you have to start over for hitting things. It would have been a totally different experience if not for that. Nice work!

Sun Wizard Stocking Gang by HadMatter00 2026-04-24T23:36:24Z

Really funny, and cool to see another weird hand signal game! The graphics are super cool and the whole tone of the game made me laugh. I was able to get into the fantasy of slinging spells by learning 1 attack and 1 defense spell by heart. It was a little hard to memorize it with so many spells and so many options, plus the translation between letters and hand signals. I think it would have been a bit more fun for me if it was the spells were just a touch more simple, so I could memorize all the spells, and then the combat could get harder to compensate. Cool game I had a great time!

Islandia by Derek Glennon 2026-04-22T22:46:02Z

This was so delightful, I really loved the sounds and animations that all gave the vibe of a kid playing with toys. Did you just do everything in an AnimationPlayer? I was confused by the locked camera initially but only for a couple seconds. Then I saw box and ledge and I knew my mission as a gamer. I didn't struggle to figure out what to do from that point onwards. The only thing I wanted was more! Great job!

Hubble Horticulture by Soothsayer 2026-04-22T23:32:46Z

That was really fun! I started with the broken web build then was curious enough to download it and beat it. I felt super pleased when I got enough language to discern who was buying vs selling for the first time. And then I just love farming. The only gripe is I felt like the ending was a bit flat because I wound up entering the SOS code before sprinklers or plot 3, it would have just been nice to get all the upgrades then do 1 last push to make money for a new set of symbols for the final SOS. Overall really great work, I had a great time!

Signal Spark by Tsaot 2026-04-23T23:30:00Z

Fascinating control scheme, it was easy to grasp the jumping part but the swapping modes and getting orders part was confusing initially. I dont think it needed to be different modes just something like press space to highlight a target. But jumping around between different stations was really fun and I had fun also just trying to fling myself in an unknown direction and see if I got something or I died lol. Nice work!

Outcry by ACartlidge 2026-04-22T22:55:50Z

@wizard @erilhir @tobaccoleopard definitely heard on the tutorial and explanation lacking! I should know better but I just got whooped by the time constraints this time around. I'm pleased you could make some sense of it even if it was under-explained, thanks for playing!

PS an out-trade is what happened when the buyer and seller recorded different trades after a misunderstanding. At the end of the day when everything got settled they'd find the discrepancy and the trade wouldn't go thru. There's a story in that youtube video about a new trader losing millions of dollars from messing up the quantity on a trade.

Signal Loop by SMOLBIGBY 2026-04-22T21:44:21Z

Nice puzzle game! I thought you did a good job of progressively introducing ideas and making things more difficult. I also thought it was all packaged up nicely, the visuals, menus, etc all felt good. I played til level 7 before getting stuck. In level 7 afaik there's no way to get to the button and back, and then to the gate? Also I dont know how to use the battery switch since you aren't allowed to backtrack. I think one thing that would have been really nice here was if it saves all your commands from your last attempt and you could click and drag them to reorder them or delete them. The other QoL thing that would be awesome would be a 2x/3x speed button to make the playback a bit faster. Nice work! Im also really curious how to beat level 7!

can u talk? by The Big Lost 2026-04-24T23:15:32Z

Cool game! You did a great job introducing a unique mechanic and making it fit with the story and platformer gameplay, it didn't feel like just a bunch of random things bolted together. And art plus ambiance is really great! Nicely done!

Game Soup 7 by PetraSoup7 2026-04-24T00:05:09Z

Super cool graphics! Really loved the vibe of the game. One small detail, I feel like it would be good for the sub to have more "weight" by making it turn slower, it was a little thematically off that the sub could tokyo drift around the map. Really cool work!

HeartW@rd by NE-Aquilon 2026-04-24T00:25:55Z

Visually this is so cool! Ive nver seen anything like it! That plus the writing and sound design really took me somewhere, that was great fun. I unfortunately had the same problem as some others where I died and then an impenetrable wall of enemies stacked up. I spent another 5 lives trying to break thru but couldnt get any further. Super cool visuals, awesome work!

Tooth Fairy by FLemming1k 2026-04-25T20:01:40Z

Had no idea what to expect but kept my attention the whole time. Nicely done! My favorite part was when you went to your buddy Jim's house right after work and spent there night there, and how he can vouch that you were over there all night!

Small Among Storms by ShanzPro 2026-04-25T20:18:19Z

Cool use of the theme! And the ambiance was super cool. It reminded me of a level of Donkey Kong Country that was too scary for me when I was little. Nice work!

Last One Alive Leave The Light On by FadingDreamStories 2026-04-22T22:14:55Z

Love the ambiance, the visuals and sounds immediately put me in the setting of this kind of eerie isolated radio observation station. I unfortunately could not make sense of how to play. I watched the youtube video after the fact and it still wasnt super clear. Maybe I am supposed to search every square of the grid, but in my game i had an 8x8 square and I think there are 20ish channels, so am I supposed to just check ~1200 things (grid x channels)? Some more clues about how to play would have been great. Cool vibes and nice work!
