Cool visual, love it!
That took a turn! :D A very short basic platform game but i enjoyed the ending!
I found it great ^^ Simple but I liked it !
Nice game - the visuals are great and the movement controls are smooth.
I was mashing my keyboard a bit trying to find the correct key to progress through dialogue at the beginning. It looks like right-arrow or clicking on the flashing arrow would work, but the correct answer is Enter. Skill issue on my part, I guess.
@aquanim
Thank you for the feedback! Yeah I can see now how that could be confusing, I will keep that in mind for next time!
what a twist :O :D
I agree with @aquanim - I was lost. Thanks to his comment I could start the game by smashing Enter. Maybe put it to the descriptoon?
I love the artowrok.
@janinna21 Hehe thank you! :D Now that you mention it I can see that, thanks for the tip!
The concept, plot, and unexpected ending are really good. The sounds are well chosen. I really enjoyed it!
@chi-ink Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! It was really fun to make :)
Okay this one is really funny. I didn't expect the game to go there, but it fits perfectly with the character and theme. Overall: cute little game, nice and simple scope and sounds and looks good too :3
Short but really charming game! Very satisfying art style — I absolutely adore the clouds. Gameplay is smooth, and I love that taking damage isn’t punishing; dropping items instead of losing HP feels fair and fun. The plot twist was unexpected and amazing — I love surprises like that. The sound conveys the mood perfectly and keeps you engaged. Solid entry overall, and it really leaves a warm, memorable impression
Short and Sweet! I didnt see that twist coming at all!
I like it, it's beautiful)
Amazing game, one of my favorites so far during todays exploration! This was great! loved the twist! Would like to be able to exit the game sooner with maybe a exit button sooner, but i still finished the game so it wasn't that much of a biggie to me. Amazing game!
Game was good, fun. Had that leisure suit larry feel
Such a pretty game! The scary painting is a cool way of foreshadowing. I played a 2nd time and collected 0 ingredients: Sabrina's not gonna like that! hehe
Great graphics, solid gameplay, love the idea that you drop all your collected items like Sonic dropping rings. Just fantastic work overall.
What a surprising twist, it made me laugh. Is that Little red riding hood and the wolf at the same time ?
I really love those adorable clouds, and all the food ingredients are so long.
I enjoyed the twist at the end—I helped her finish the soup...
Hell yeah. Great game. Polished. Good cutsenes. Fun and simple gameplay. Funny story and twist. A pixelart platformer done well. Good job
nice and cute game! i really liked the art on main menu. the girl did nothing wrong :^)
love art!
Thanks everyone for the kind words, really appreciate it!
@maakole Glad you liked the dropping mechanic! That's where I got the inspiration from!
@gastoon I hadn't thought of it that way haha
Really need to look the comment first, got stuck too. But beyond that, the art is excellent, and I really enjoy the game too. :)
It's a nice game, and there's a lot to work on. Good luck!
What a pleasant style. The sounds are also excellent. And the ending was surprising
I liked the cutscenes, the story, the twist and the art were nice, the gaemplay was a little simple, not even being able to squish the slimes
@ellaris That's a great idea about being able to squish the slimes! I hadn't thought of that, thanks!
Oh my god Very nice art. I love pixels. You gave my eyes the opportunity to enjoy the visual. Many games don't have this, thank you.
The ending was unexpected in a really good way — I loved it!
It was a game that I liked very much!
The only technical thing that stood out was X being the interact key, quite a weird choice. Besides that I actually kinda enjoyed the enemies not killing you instantly and teleporting back to start (what most jam games would do) but instead the ingredients spilled everywhere. Not much else say that hasn't already been said, good style, goofy animations and harmless fun.
So cute! So happy to be able to help complete the special soup! Bon Appetit everyone!
I liked the art and the ending! It was nice making my soup and sharing it with all my friends in my cozy cottage! Also I really liked that the ingredient were hp and you couldnt die, that made any potential frustration with the platforming or enemies go away, smart move!
Really charming and great visuals. The ending was very satisfying :)
Cool idea! I like the little story twist a lot and the design of the collector works really well to hide it! Cute design, smooth playing and fun music!
Cool take on Little Red Riding Hood! After collecting the food, I wasn’t quite sure what to do with it 😅
What a great instant analogue horror classic! 5/5!!
Also, the song was really nice
The final scene surprised and scared me)
Short but well executed, I really liked the twist at the end. The art and music also went very well together. Nice job!
What a cute little innocent game.
This game looks really neat, but unfortunately it's one of those Godot Windows games my computer would not load. All I got was a black screen :frowning2: I've had this issue for a while and have no idea why. It only happens with the Windows version. When a dev uploads the exact same game in browser form, it runs fine
Great jam game! I'm not usually a fan of platformer games, so I tend to be bad at them. I appreciated that it was challenging but still solvable. I also appreciated that you can't really "lose" since the worst that happens is you drop your items. As a lower skill gamer, I get frustrated at constantly dying in games, so this was nice. Everything looks and feels well polished. Loved the story, loved the graphics. Gameplay was solid.
If I had any feedback for improvement, the only thing I'd say is that you could have been more ambitious. I get the impression that this high level of polish was possible partly because of your limited scope. I'd be excited to see you push the limits and try to add more content.
@kobato-games ah that's a bummer, not sure why that would be happening, unfortunately I can't export a .NET Godot project to web :( and I only found out about that a few hours before the jam was over otherwise I would have chosen GDScript instead of C# so I could export for web.
I've uploaded a version on itch.io (named compatibility) which uses a different rendering api to draw the game, not sure if that would fix your issue but it might be worth a shot.
@happytrollangus Thank you for the kind words!
Yeah we could have definitely done more! We were unsure at first how much we could accomplish because my friend @zoldanka didn't have much experience with Godot and it's also her first game jam and I hadn't used Godot for about 2 years so we tried to figure out a small scope that we were sure we could accomplish.
It turned out fine in the end and we even had the luxury to take long breaks since the game was ready in about 1.5 days and we spent the rest of the time just making sure everything was polished and felt nice.
Next time we'll definitely increase the scope! We're feeling confident now :D
That plot twist :O I wish you opted in the humor category, I would have given you 5 stars ;)
I had a feeling she was The Collector the old granny was talking about.
I like that you borrowed the mechanic used in Sonic when she got hit where she dropped her collectables.
Really cute and cozy game)
Awesome little game. You had a vision and completed it in a polished manner. Great visuals too!
Soup time! I love wholesome games about soup!

I think the "soup music" should have only played when it was "soup time". I was a little confused. Also could have played a reference to the "soup time music" when talking to the grandma to emphasize the "soup truth".
what a lovely cute game, nothing weird about this one not at all. such a wholesome ending actually, didn't expect it at all. It terms of gameplay, the platforming is very solid, though I will say movement could do with some better friction. I did like that the slimes, basic as they were, did prove mechanically interesting given you could approach them going under or over, having to time that right; very effective enemy for a jam game.
@jacobingalls that's a cool idea actually! Thanks for the better soup recipe! :)
Let me open by saying, the little clouds are insanely adorable (and I liked how the slimes were animated!) My only gripe is really that the ending was kinda telegraphed with the ... uh stuff in the house (trying my best here, haha.) I liked the overall vibe and for people who have little or outmoded Godot experience this is solid overall. Just a solid project!
(When I say telegraphed, I mean in the beginning in the upstairs)
@kazuren I just downloaded the Windows compatibility version and it worked. Thanks.
