That feels like it was though about a lot before deciding to make this final, it's a really cool concept! (i'm not sure how you award trophies tho)

Cool concept! I had trouble figuring out what to do to actually keep going, but i'm sure thats more of a me problem. I love the simple graphics used!
Very nice concept! There's just a lot to unpack in a very short amount of time. I like the art a lot and the humor is perfect imo!! I'd love to see it finished!
That is such a crazy of spinning the collector theme with good old toilet jokes. Game felt extremely smooth, graphics are clean, music and SFX are extremely entertaining, overall amazing shit game!
nice! feels like i could play forever honestly!
Wow! That is a crazy amount of work, and very well done too, it's a really good game loop and could definitely become something big. It makes me thing a lot of those mobile cow merging games where it could just go on and on forever. The art is extremely cool and funky and the music and the vibe fits well. Props to you for being able to make this!
The game looks really cute, but it feels quite empty and long. The concept is interesting and can easily be pushed even further, but for a short game jam the goal must have been too big. The point is often to grab a player's attention fast, and the very slow movement of the character doesn't help much in my opinion. Other than that everything looked really nice, the game loop is playable and the style feels just right!
Cool idea! I like the little story twist a lot and the design of the collector works really well to hide it! Cute design, smooth playing and fun music!
Cool idea! Great execution! love the art and vibe as well. Only this as for debugging, whenever you get sent back by force because the lamp dies, the game freezes completely and i couldn't figure out how to get out of it without restarting the program. Keep going!
Cool game loop! Cute graphics and design! I didn't play for long but i wished it went faster and faster!
Cool idea, except i didn't really figure out what to do beyond unscrewing the vent open. The mood is really well set and the music helps a lot, it would be cool to see it completed!
The idea would be cool to develop, but i'm not sure what happened other than going around the levels collecting things and opening doors... I liked the colors but on the other hand the sounds were quite aggressive for simple picking items sounds. Keep going tho!
Cool, i was able to finish it after a little while!!
@skiddings sorry to hear that, we are working on control settings for the post-jam version!
@koolruz I'm really glad you took the time to finish it! (as a not so good gamer even less for platformers, i had trouble with it too) I can only answer this as the artist:
We had planned 3 levels with a much smaller learning curve (and the tutorial ended up staying as only the placeholder) but with the constraint of time, we ended up designing this singular level with all the difficulties included and without being able to include the necessary custom controls settings T-T
For the visuals, it was my first time working with pixel art, even less for a game. So in the end, yes, all my sprites were drawn at the same pixel size 1:1, but once i got in the game engine i didn't know how to actually proceed so i just worked with loose assets and scaling/placing everything at random until i got a good enough result. That must be where the inconsistencies appeared so thank you for mentioning it, i'll remember it for next time!
Thanks for such a detailed review! and for playing it until the end ;)
Very pretty and complex! The nuances in the phrases are sometimes so small it was pretty hard to figure it out, but i managed in the end!
Looks really cool and the vibe fits really well! i just got lost so often and it was sometimes hard to get back to the portal. I also felt like maybe the fear makes you lose health too fast, you could reference the way insanity or hunger affects the player in "Don't Starve" to make it a little more forgiving.
Very cool and complex! Wish there was a little more guidance on where to go, like an objective, or and openable map. I love the idea of the player being in the dark, but the map could have nuances of gray to show where the platforms are i think? It would make it a little but less frustrating. If not the vibe as really cool and the idea has so much potential!
The description makes this seem very complete, complex and polished, but nothing about the actual game feels that way to me except for the witch. The sound of the game is aggressing and made me turn off my volume, i didn't feel like the gameplay was really thought out properly because of the holes and the lack of movement. But! Truly the idea is good and the witch could pull together a more simple background! Not too bad
Really cool! Last game was really hard, and i loved that you could just forever in the first game like an actual ghost!
Very cool idea!
If i had to give some feedback, I'd say the controls feel kinda slidy, like you slide around a lot when stopping or starting to walk, which might have been the expected result but it feels quite much, and i feel like the character is sometimes really big compared to the spaces available : if your smallest spaces are 2 tiles high, your character shouldn't fit exactly in there it should be 1.5 tiles high, that way you don't get stuck around corners here and there because the player is too big.
If not everything feels really well executed! The art is really cute and the story is nice! Wish there was some music but as first time time devs that is quite hard to achieve or time exhausting to find online. Good Job!
Really cool vibe and gameplay!! wish there was more!
I don't know if it was mentioned anywhere but how do you make the game start? Like there's only ever the control panel visible with the first message and the battery going down all the way to 0%. I've tried clicking on all the keys and with the mouse but nothing does anything.. idk if i've missed anything
@w0nder I really wish it worked because i like the concept very much, but it didn't. Hopefully someone will be able to help. Good luck!
The ambiance is set perfectly and with some more work i can see this becoming a full game, tho as an artist myself i would love to see instead of the current graphics, a type of map being revealed as you go that could also help set your story. Love it still!
