Frame Buster by JCMonkey 2022-04-05T17:36:37Z
Love the fps dropping idea! My favorite part of the game was the music. Would be nice if there was a mouse sensitivity option in game.

Love the fps dropping idea! My favorite part of the game was the music. Would be nice if there was a mouse sensitivity option in game.
Controls felt a bit floaty, especially the dash. I'd like it if the enemies had health bars to know I am killing them and the damage numbers don't make sense in isolation when I don't know how much health the enemies have in the first place. I didn't really understand where to go and had to look through the whole map to see which door opened and at one point I couldn't find any. I managed to reach the room with the dragon(boss room?) by somehow launching myself into the air and going through the walls.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that it would be cool if there was a way to rotate the camera.
unknown.png
Really good game! I love the sound effects, especially the blood sucking and the enemy death sound :D.
Would have loved to see different abilities instead of guns for the mana usage. Might give the player more of an incentive to use all of them because with the guns I found myself just using the revolver and not having a reason to switch.(Things like: shield, blink, reflect bullet? etc)
Other than that, great work!
Really relaxing and cute game :D Loved the humor and the hidden messages.

Short but sweet :)
Overall it was a pretty good game! Art, Music and SFX felt very polished.
Some minor feedback that could make the game even better:
- Indicator that would let me know I've already fed on an enemy. (Red outline around them if I haven't fed on them maybe?)
- "Shooting" felt like it had no cooldown and instead it felt more like a "how fast can I spam left click". You could improve this by either shooting automatically by holding down left click or showing a cooldown(Maybe a bar above the players head similar to the dash bar on the top left)
- Better pathfinding on enemies, sometimes they got stuck behind obstacles.
- The "bat bullet" collider could be smaller for the obstacles to make it more forgiving for the player but kept the same for the enemies.
Keep in mind that this is very minor stuff and doesn't take away much from the experience. The game was still fun and I hope my feedback doesn't sound too harsh!
Would love it if the gameplay was a bit easier and the game had a more readable font. Other than that it was a very nice game, loved the music.
Good idea! Controls were intuitive. However I felt like the game was too easy and I didn't have to do much in terms of controlling my guys. Also the music was a bit hard to listen to because of the bass. Would be nice if there were sound effects for when your warrior shoot arrows and kill a beast, and lastly the game froze when I pressed play on firefox so I had to play on chrome just for your information.
I liked the music, and the fact that you can change it from the computer. Two of the mini games were a bit buggy for me, in the pixel art one it didn't count as finished even though I did all of it and I had to click on it again to reset it and it worked the 5th time, not sure what caused it. The find the pair mini game also bugged for me, I was finished with it and then clicked on the check mark button because it didn't count as completed and it reset it and I couldn't click on the cards anymore even through restarts. Other than that it was pretty good, good job!
Easily one of the best games I've played this game jam! I really love the idea and the game felt very polished. Art style was amazing too, reminded me of the game "Don't Starve".
unknown.png
Fun game! I went for the highscore :D Good work on the game!
unknown.png
I really liked the mood of this game. Music, Graphics, Gameplay, it all fit together very well. Good job!
Really liked this game! I loved watching my city grow(and later fall :D). Music and art was very well done.
I'm surprised you guys managed to create this type of game in just 3 days! Great job!
Pretty fun game to play! The strategy that worked best for me was to spam the skeleton guys at the stairs so they spawn kill everyone :D.
Feedback:
- I didn't really understand what the blue circle on the enemies was, is it a shield? If so it would be good to have some indicator of how much it lasts or how much there is of it. A way to portray it better in my opinion is to make a really big blue outline on the enemies that have it, and it slowly becomes smaller as it decays. Also there's no feedback on your hits when the enemy has a shield which makes it seem like you're doing nothing to it which might be intended but there needs to be some feedback to the player so he knows that's the case. - Access to settings after clicking start game because I don't know how loud/quiet the music will be, or you could put music in the menu screen so players can check that way.
Other than that, it was a pretty good game, good job!
Cool game, graphics were really cute :D.
Love the concept! Reminded me of Welcome to the Game 1 and 2. That input distruption was a very clever addition! I didn't understand what was happening first but then I was like "ooooooooh that's really cool" and honestly this is pretty good from someone who is new to game development. Good job!
Cool game! I really like the bird model.
Feedback: - Jump felt floaty, would like it if there was a bit more control. - Tree trunk collider was too big, about twice the size of the actual trunk - I didn't understand how to get the egg on top of the arched pillar
unknown.png
I love these types of games! Used to play them a lot when I was younger, It was very fun to play :D.
Cool game! I really liked the idea although it would be nice if the pacing was a bit smoother. At the start it's really slow and then a lot of monsters spawn really fast and you have no time to buy upgrades and equip different armor/shield without dying because you have to be clicking your character to heal him.
I agree with what the other commenters have said, I also got confused with the black and white buttons and would like to have mouse controls. I found it a bit confusing on what the events did, would be nice to have a description there. Other than that really good concept good job! I like that you made it with LOVE as well, my favorite framework :D.
Fun game to play around in, reminds me of those old school pixel simulation flash games.
Had a chuckle at this
unknown.png
Only feedback I have is that it was a bit hard to see where some of the creatures are like the fish and the worm.
Pretty good game! Loved everything about it, gameplay, music, sound effects, graphics, UI. I'd find it useful if you can select powerups with buttons like [1, 2, 3] because I had both hands on the keyboard and had to use my mouse to select a powerup so it made me have a brief moment of not mashing my keyboard :D
I really liked the combat being a card game, that was a pretty cool idea and the humor was great :D
PS: There's a minor bug, if you press the "Keep Going" button and immediately after you press the "Take Medicine" button, the medicine won't work.
Really simple and nice game, I liked the sound effect when you lose :D
Really good game! I loved the music, simple and yet so nice to listen to! Gameplay was fun too :)!
Such a fun little game! Art, music and sfx was all lovely and fit together very well.
I got up to 4 cats :D.
Some feedback I can give is to give hotkeys to the buttons like [1, 2, 3, 4] instead of having to click them so I can have more time petting the cats T_T.
Loved the concept. Music was nice and the gameplay was simple but relaxing :D.
Some feedback: - For the buildings, make the whole button clickable to place instead of just the smaller image container, I didn't realize at first and thought it was bugged. - A fire spawned on the bottom right and I couldn't click it, and I know why that is because I also use Godot and can tell you the fix. Your Label node there or whatever it is has a mouse_filter property and it needs to be set to `ignore` instead of `stop` or `pass`
Really fun game, I love the enemies crashing into each other mechanic. I might use it in a future game ;).
Almost beat you :D! For some reason I couldn't upload my local score again.
unknown.png
I agree with what the others have said and would like to add that usually these kind of "hack and slash" games feel more satisfying to play when there's more enemies with less hp rather than a few enemies with a lot of hp. Other than that great work! I really liked the graphics!
I've never seen a snake game like this! Very cool idea! Music was very relaxing to listen to.
Really cool game! I loved the shop and units leveling up, and would like to see more types of units implemented. Health bars on enemies and allies would be nice to have as well. Good job overall! It was very fun to play!
Made it to 372 seconds :D
unknown.png
The game has a really nice vibe to it. The gameplay was very relaxing. I loved the graphics, the sound effects and the particles. Only small bug I found was that in the death screen you could still hear your footsteps before pressing the button to restart.
Very good game! The music and art was amazing!
Some feedback I can give is to add a sound effect to the dialogue text animation to make it seem like the characters are talking.
Also it would be cool if spacebar made the text in the dialogue show up fully first instead of continuing and only when it was fully shown to make spacebar continue.
Cool game! I really liked the error windows dropping into the earth :D.
Feedback: - Make the resource gathering give you resources for each hit you do instead of everything at the end. Because right now there comes a point in the game where you have to keep running from spiders and you can't sit in one spot to mine. - Make escape not close the game because that's a very common button for pausing the game.
Wow this was a really good game, I love difficult platformers, one of my favorite genres. Reminded me a lot of Celeste which I've completed 100% :D. The game was very polished and had a lot of content and the levels were very well designed and thought out, I really like that you added the "tutorial" in the game.
Some polish you could add that might make this game even better: - Death counter - Speedrun timer - No death reward(Golden heart at the end?) Maybe it already exists I didn't check :D
I actually read the comments before playing the game and found out that you made the spike hitbox smaller than the tile it's on, that's something Celeste does too and I used it to my advantage on the last level to stand on the platform right before the spikes that come down to make that part easier ;) which was easy to do since you just have to align with the wall and tap right once when you're above the spikes while flying.
spike.png
unknown.png
Please make this into a full game so I can 100% it.
Edit: Also if you don't mind, I'd really love to look at your source code to see how you implement the flying.
Nice little game, would be nice to have an indicator that you're doing damage to the spaceship. I had no clue if my bullets were doing anything at first.
Addicting game! Got really hard near the end! I really liked the mechanics, art and sound effects.
unknown.png
Wow I didn't expect to see a pico-8 game here! Great work, loved the artwork!
I managed to get 39 seconds :D
Honestly the concept is amazing, I really loved the oxygen mechanic, reminded me of Faster than Light.
I can definitely see this game becoming something much greater in the future.
Some feedback:
- Controls felt a bit unresponsive at times(The spacebar) - Sometimes the holes in the spaceship were hard to see, would be nice to have a visual indicator like some kind of highlight or outline to see where they are
Really fun to play! Loved the music! Good job!
Only feedback I have is that sometimes you can get soft locked and the game doesn't count it as game over, picture below for example:
softlock.png
The art and audio was awesome. Good work!
Really liked the graphics, and the concept is pretty cool.
About the enemies becoming super fast in the build version, I am not a Unity exper but it might be because you're using `Update` instead of `FixedUpdate`, `Update` updates the game each frame and on better computers that would mean that there's more frames and thus more processing. `FixedUpdate` on the other hand updates the game independently of framerate.
Fun game! Reminded me of those FPS aiming practice games :D
unknown.png
Nice game, I loved the horror vibe! I found the bubble popping sound of one of the enemies really satisfying to listen to :D. This is pretty good for a first horror game! I think you did a pretty good job.
Nice and cozy game, I really liked the slow-down effect the blizzard had on the player. The game reminded me a bit of Don't Starve.
Cool game! Mechanics felt tight, although it felt more like delaying my death than delaying the fans getting bored, since there was nothing in place to stop you from attacking, also the win screen felt out of place given the theme, but the concept is good! One idea could be to have more enemies that run away from you or slow/stun you to make you unable to attack and thus making the fans bored :).
Also the blood particles didn't feel like they were going where they were supposed to. For example there were instances where I stabbed the enemy from the bottom going up and the blood particles went to the right, instead of going upwards.
Overall good job on the game! The most important part was that the stabbing felt fun and responsive and that was what made the game fun to play, the above feedback is just very minor stuff that in my opinion would make the game even better and I hope it doesn't sound too harsh!
Cool, simple and fits the theme perfectly :D.
Really good game! I couldn't stop playing it. The gameplay was amazing and the tutorial was intuitive. The only "bad" thing I could think of was that my clicks felt unresponsive at times but it wasn't a big deal :)
Cool game! Loved the art style and the gameplay.
I'd like it if the screen size could become bigger.
Cool game, love the concept, I think it could become much better with some sound effects and music.
Nice idea! I liked the music, it felt intense as it should, controls felt a bit unintuitive and I didn't really understand them until I played the game 3 times. Idea: maybe instead of making the path for the messengers and then making the move command it could just be clicking to make move commands and a messenger automatically gets dispatched close by to "shout the commands". Could also add some sound effects when your troops are fighting but that's very minor :)
Simple but fun and addicting!
Sound effects, music and graphics were great!
Good job overall!
Very fun game!
Some minor feedback that could make the game even better: - Small pause countdown before the minigame starting to give the player time to get accustomed with the controls and the environment he's gonna be in. In the dodge in the bananas mini game I felt like I didn't have time to look where the bananas were before they started chasing me so I ended up losing most of my lifes there. - Making the minigames end faster if you succeed/fail, for example in the light the candles minigame you have to wait for the timer to end even if you've lit all the candles. Similarly for the dodge the bananas minigame you have to wait for the timer to end even if you've lost.
These are just minor things that didn't take away much if at all from the main experience and I am sure that they would've been added if not for the time constraint. Overall great work on the game!
Fun game, I really liked the "talking" sound effect :)
Cool little game, as someone who has a dog I enjoyed this very much.
Really good game! Difficulty scaling was very smooth, I loved how creepy it got towards the end.
Amazing work! Would love to see this idea expanded :)
Really cool game! I didn't get it at first but that's probably a problem with me, since I was so used to normal dungeon crawlers. Second playthrough was much more fun for me.
Only feedback I have is to make the shaking animations of the buttons when you end the turn/your turn starts to be slightly faster, or at least an option for faster animations. Because I found myself already knowing what ability I wanted to use and had to wait for the animation to finish to input it.
Really good game, loved the art style!
Only feedback I can think of is that I would like it if you could click on tiles to move to them and the rover would find the most optimal path there instead of using QWEASD, even better if you could use mouse for everything :)
@lako Thanks for the feedback! I agree the gameplay was simple, I didn't really know how to make it better in this kind of style(Side-Scrolling Platformer). I just went with it because it was something I knew I could do fast because I had the experience of making similar games, and we decided to focus more on the story aspect instead. We are looking into possibly expanding this into a full game in another perspective and in 3D instead :). Thanks for playing!
@billnotic Thank you very much for your feedback! I agree about the graphics, we tried to play to our strengths since we didn't have an artist and instead converted 3d models to pixel art :). I also agree that the gameplay was very simple but we decided to focus more on the story and pacing due to the time constraint.
@jamesolivermusic We're sorry you had that experience! I wasn't really sure how to code the mechanics so that part was easier but also have it give that feel to it at the same time.
Also I kindly ask you to edit your message to be slightly less evident so it doesn't spoil the game for others.
Really nice game! Loved the art style and the ambient music, very creepy. Loved the "changing heads" mechanic, very innovative!
Cool concept! Reminded me of Lifeslide on Steam if you've seen that game but with a spaceship instead :D. Also just so you know, after a couple of minutes the music ends abruptly instead of looping.
Extremely good game, one of my favorites, I just played and played until I got all the upgrades and then I could finish the game so fast I didn't even have to shoot a fireball.
Wow, this puzzle game is great, really simple rules but challenging to complete at the same time.
When I got to level 6 I thought that's enough for one day haha, but I'd love to revisit this if I want to play something challenging! Great work!
Awesome game! The sfx is really well made, the graphics are pretty and the combat is satisfying.
The only issues I had were minor:
1. The map was a bit confusing at first due to the empty spaces and I had to figure out ways around to reach the bosses, an indicator on the ground with path finding could maybe help with this.
2. The steering of the vehicle was a bit too slow I feel in comparison with the speed of the combat, I'd like it if I had a bit more control to dodge enemies better.
Overall great entry! It was very fun to play.
Haha this was really funny, well done!
Really like the art style of the cards and how they're presented to the player As others have mentioned, I also accidentally pressed the exit button without meaning to. The gameplay does get a bit repetitive after a while, it would help if you could speed it up somehow. Also it would be cool if cards that you haven't seen before play a small sound effect and are highlighted a bit to show a bit of excitement of seeing something new. The music is nice but it is a bit jarring when it starts looping again, it would be nicer if the loop was seamless so it doesn't get tiring.
Simple but fun! The jumping garbage truck is really funny.
The stacking mechanic in the bag is really cool, also like one of the other commenters said, it reminded me of Hobo: Tough Life as well. Nice idea!
This felt frustrating at first but once I got it, it felt so satisfying. I love the game over sound and music.
Great and unique idea!
gg.png
Awesome work for 1 day, well done!
The sound effects are satisfying to hear and the animation is great!
Wow, this game is really well made, one of my favorites for sure! The voice acting and writing were great, I also like how the mechanics got introduced and how they tied together with the story, really well done!
Simple but fun, would be really interesting with a timer like one of the other commenters said. e.g. You have 60 seconds to get 20 across etc.
I've taken an interest into space lately and this was a nice game to amplify that interest :). Thank you for making this. The meteorites are a nice touch.
Great job.
clearskies.png
Really fun to play, I loved all the monsters and the fighting was cool, I didn't realize how strong the dino was and he nearly killed all my monsters the first time I fought it. Also the infinite generation is intriguing to me. Well done!
Cool concept! Reminds me of some old flash games I used to play when I was younger :)
This was really fun to play and interesting, never seen these kind of mechanics before!
I can definitely see the potential of this game with more fleshed out mechanics and content.
The controls felt a bit weird but overall really nice game, I really liked the mechanic of going around the space rock and it was pretty funny to eat the tutorial labels and seeing yourself from behind. Also that final scene where you can see the Catorus ring was really satisfying to look at.
The music is really nice and relaxing, it sets a nice mood. I really love that you put zen mode in too. The art style, effects and animation of the flowers is great. Also maybe it's just me put I found the best thing to do was just spam click everywhere and just see the flowers pop up everywhere without thinking much about it haha.
Cool take on minesweeper! This was a neat game. I loved being able to shoot on unknown tiles to discover what they have.
I didn't get the point of the different weapons except the last one since it seems that they all dealt less damage total for the amount of bullets used so why not just stick with the pistol?
Also the character movement felt a bit clunky, I would like to be able to hold a button to move with a short delay instead of having to keep tapping it.
Overall great work though!
The art reminded me a lot of inscryption, it's also the reason this game caught my eye when browsing for games.
The mechanics were a bit confusing at first and required some time to get used to. I ended up going for a rage build and just one-shotting enemies haha.
Some cards I didn't see a reason to ever pick as they seemed to just cause some negative effect, but maybe you could combine them in a good way somehow? I just didn't see how.
This game was really fun, first of all the character selection was really cute and I loved the name and text of each character, the names of the bosses were funny too. I also liked the meep collecting mechanic and how they follow you around.
I played it a total of four times, which I describe below:
1. I didn't realize you could pickup the meeps in the cage and tried to survive for about 100 seconds until I eventually died, I realised that I was probably doing something wrong so I tried again.
2. I killed the first boss and due to how much fun I was having I forgot you were supposed to move north to the next area and waited and waited until the second boss appeared but of course he was nowhere to be found and at this same time my game started lagging really bad and the sound was getting horrible due to the spam of sound effects (it stopped playing sound completely at some point)
3. The first boss one shot me D:
4. I finally killed the first boss and moved north, the second boss appeared and I managed to see him for 0.1s before I obliterated him but at this point my game started lagging again froze completely and I had to restart my pc because the game took all my ram.
Overall really fun game that could use some polish and become great :)
This is a really well done game! No need for the guide, it all made sense. The writing was fantastic and the graphics were really pretty. The rain sfx was cozy and I liked the mumbling of the characters. Really polished!
I found the projection mechanic fascinating, I haven't seen that before :o
The graphics are really impressive, well done! Surreal game.
One of my favorite games so far! I really loved having to be extremely careful not to damage any bones and I liked the GPR mechanic, well done!
bones.png
Really well done! The dialogue is funny, the graphics are gorgeous, and the sound effects that go with the dialogue and the mouth animation are excellent.
Satisfying game loop however the music got a bit tiring after hearing it for so long.
Also some of the small fish appear to be dead?! :O and it wouldn't allow you to pick them up.
Lovely game, I love the art style and the writing and the music fits well.
@aquanim
Thank you for the feedback! Yeah I can see now how that could be confusing, I will keep that in mind for next time!
@chi-ink Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! It was really fun to make :)
Thanks everyone for the kind words, really appreciate it!
@maakole Glad you liked the dropping mechanic! That's where I got the inspiration from!
@gastoon I hadn't thought of it that way haha
@ellaris That's a great idea about being able to squish the slimes! I hadn't thought of that, thanks!
@kobato-games ah that's a bummer, not sure why that would be happening, unfortunately I can't export a .NET Godot project to web :( and I only found out about that a few hours before the jam was over otherwise I would have chosen GDScript instead of C# so I could export for web.
I've uploaded a version on itch.io (named compatibility) which uses a different rendering api to draw the game, not sure if that would fix your issue but it might be worth a shot.
@happytrollangus Thank you for the kind words!
Yeah we could have definitely done more! We were unsure at first how much we could accomplish because my friend @zoldanka didn't have much experience with Godot and it's also her first game jam and I hadn't used Godot for about 2 years so we tried to figure out a small scope that we were sure we could accomplish.
It turned out fine in the end and we even had the luxury to take long breaks since the game was ready in about 1.5 days and we spent the rest of the time just making sure everything was polished and felt nice.
Next time we'll definitely increase the scope! We're feeling confident now :D
@jacobingalls that's a cool idea actually! Thanks for the better soup recipe! :)
Really cool concept unfortunately I felt the patience meter go down extremely fast and it made me anxious. I think it would be better if it gradually started going faster as you advanced in the game.
Fun game, the music was really nice and made me want to keep playing.
Also I don't know if the platform movement was intended to behave that way but I found it really interesting (in a good way) that you have to manually move with it instead of it moving your character for you.
At first the controls felt a bit weird due to the floatiness but then I started liking it and the movement felt really unique! It was really fun, I especially liked the infinite jump level. Also the dash felt really sleek, I just loved to dash around everywhere. Great work!
Really loved the mini games, except the fishing one which I didn't understand, I was clicking on the bubbles but it didn't feel like I had any control whatsoever.
The concept is really good and I loved the collect-sell-restore loop. The game also gives you a nice purpose to collect and restore these items.
The music got a bit annoying in the end but other than that great work!
Cool game, found it very challenging! I love how simple the mechanic is but at the same time deep. Loved that it requires you to stay attentive and potentially position your shield in any direction.
Wow, this was amazingly put together, everything fit nicely, the music, the sound effects, the graphics and animation. I especially loved the little trail of the resources you gather. I love these kind of games, looking forward to a post-jam version :)
Oh my, this was an amazing experience, such a great cursed game haha. Unfortunately like another commenter I lost my progress when I pressed the top left arrow. Would also like to see a skip on the cinematic that plays because it becomes a bit too slow when you see it for the 100th time but other than that this was an amazing experience, great work!
This game is really sweet.
I am really sorry for your loss, I am sure ÄŒertÃk lived a good life filled with joy.
I believe that ÄŒertÃk would wish for you to remember the good times you had with him and not have his memory bring you misery.
Remember, you're also sparing ÄŒertÃk the confusion and grief of having witnessed you pass away, death is a natural thing, it's the only prophecy that never fails, we can only embrace it.
Really great game!
I love the artstyle.
The music changing for the day/night cycle was really top notch and the gameplay is really fun too.
Besides what other people said, I think adding some visuals for how much you're gathering per second would be really nice, either as an exact amount per second gathered/lost or up/down arrows next to the resources.
Fun game, loved how overpowered I got after getting all the upgrades, then I just tried digging straight down until my pc started lagging haha.
Some minor things I noticed:
1. When leaving the mine, it was really easy to re-enter it by mistake if you hold W.
2. I had some problems with the lighting being too dark but after further inspection it seems to be a problem with the web version of the game only.
3. I never felt the need to go deeper since all the expensive ores are right next to me, in my opinion more expensive ores should appear deeper and cheaper ones should be near the start.
Really cool game, loved the various mechanics and the objective of the game. Impressive work!
Cool game idea, I love the title. I also found the description you put very funny, I've been there..
letter_2025-10-12_11-49-39.png
Cool idea and I really love the trading mechanic, also the music is really pleasant to hear.
A few things I noticed that could improve the game: 1. A way to skip people, I noticed that after some point when I had a lot of money I was just looking for the final few items and I was just spamming "bargain" on people until they left and I found the item I needed.
2. Different sfx for each person so it doesn't get tiring
3. A mode where you don't know how much the items cost so its not clear if someone is scamming you or not, it would make it more interesting in my opinion.
Overall good work though, it was really fun to play. Personally I liked that you had the Kino Vinyl as one of the collectible items <3
The graphics and the concept are nice but I didn't really understand how to play, and the game felt too difficult and confusing.
The idea is really interesting, I really liked having to balance the resources. The other comments have given a lot of constructive feedback which I also agree with.
The only things I want to add is that a visual of how much each upgrade costs would be nice and some way to know when one of your resources is about to decrease because it felt a bit unfair when you bought something and suddenly your resources go below zero.
Really satisfying sound effects.
I noticed when hugging the top wall that you cant shoot downwards and that the bullets collide with the wall there.
Would like it if there was a way to choose a card without having to use the mouse (by highlighting which one you want maybe?) since the game doesn't use the mouse for anything else, it's a bit annoying to have to get my hands off the keyboard to choose a card.
Overall loved the vibe of the game and the card mechanic with the puzzle pieces.
gg.png
I love the music, I managed to make it to day 6. Not sure if it's possible to go beyond that.
day 6.png
I didn't notice the day to night count on the bottom left until my second playthrough, it's a bit inconspicuous.
I liked the fact that you have to balance popularity with money.
The fake mechanic is really well done. Also I really like the attention to detail on the shop background and card art.
Some things I noticed:
I didn't understand why I would ever sell at the original price instead of high.
The people entering the shop could use different sfx each so it's not so repetitive.
I had to restart the game 4 times before it could function correctly, not sure why, the first 4 times I started the game, after I pressed the "flip" button on one of the cards it seemed like no other button functioned as it should have. e.g. I could press the "buy" button and lose money but I would get no card in my collection and the card would still remain there and I could press buy again.
@yarkin oh I see, I was on the old version, I checked the updated version and it works fine!
Even though it could use some polish I found the game pretty fun to play.
I liked the infinite mode because it let me see how fast my shooting got as I upgraded more and more :D
Really liked the character customization, could really make some unique orcs!
I didn't really get the rules of the game however.
Amazing game! The UI is really well done. The logs were funny to read and the concept is great and I loved how technical it is! One of my favorites for sure.
Edit: oh and the music is chill too, I loved listening to that while playing.
An audacious attempt at assembling an artistic amusement. The atmosphere feels ambient, airy, and almost airy-acidic in emotional aura — alternately alluring and agonizing. The audio: a sparse arrangement of ambient arpeggios, adding an atmospheric accent to action sequences and ambient ambles alike. The aesthetic is austere, angular, and alluringly ambiguous — artful abstractions that awaken curiosity.
Cute little game, sad that there is a build limit :(
This was really funny, I managed to beat it on my first try :D
Awesome game!
The snowball physics and snow graphics are really good, well done on those.
I like the concept of your snowball being your ammo although I think it needs a little tweaking because right now I could just spam snowballs with no noticeable decrease in snowball size.
The sound effects are good however they got a bit tiring after a while due to hearing them continuously, I think it would help to randomize the pitch a little bit each time to have a bit of variation.
The "target lock on" felt like it was going against me because if the enemies were on the move and I shot were the lock on suggests, I would miss the target 100% of the time, I think it would help to either have it predict the movement and shoot accordingly or not have it at all.
Overall: Great work with good graphics, physics and mechanics and with a bit of polish it could be really great.
The concept is really great, very disturbing, it kinda reminded me of the sanity mechanic from Don't Starve but amplified by 100x.
I just wish the distortion sound when picking up an item was turned down a bit because I had to mute my headphones each time, it was too much for me (but maybe it was too much for the character too heh)
The gradual worsening of the character's sanity was really well executed.
Amazing work!
Similarly with others, I found the game too difficult and couldn't get very far but the idea is really interesting!
The art is really nice, well done on that.
However the gameplay and the objectives confused me a bit.
Pressing Escape opens up a weird menu
The seagull renders behind the people when it seems that it should be rendering in front (since it's flying above them)
Having to click on the top right to see the collection was a bit annoying when the rest of the game doesn't require the mouse, it would be nicer if there was a button for that.
Not sure it's necessary to have one button for interaction and one button for QTE, it seems like they could be the same button.
Also the tutorial in game says to press Shift to squawk but nothing happens when I press that.
I like the achievement concept! The third game was super fun and is my favorite, even though it was a bit tough to beat. The art in general was beautiful too, great work!
Very cool and cozy little game, it reminded me a lot of the game "He is Coming". Didn't expect the final battle to be so hard although I barely managed to beat it on my first try thanks to my trusty ducks. I liked the hoard score mechanic, it gives the player a nice challenge.
This was a cozy game, would love to see it expanded with more upgrades to make it more of an idle game :)
The art style is really beautiful, I love it. Great work!
Wasn't quite sure how the gameplay worked at first but I got it eventually.
dude that scene near the end scared the shit out of me haha, really well done game I really liked the grand scale of things at the start and how it slowly got more and more confined.
I really liked this scenery

And that final scene was really pretty and emotional as well.
Really great precision platformer physics and good level design, I really liked how the tutorials showed up in game and how you presented new mechanics to the player and great variety on the number of mechanics. Some levels were a bit difficult but a bit of difficulty is good in these type of games!
Overall solid work and really fun to play.
Really liked how you did the text animations, very smooth and engaging! Will definitely take some inspiration from that in my own projects! I also love the title of your game, very memorable!
this is so good!!! what the........ amazing polish, you set the mood perfectly. I haven't played Disco Elysium but now you made me want to.
I loved the writing, never once did it bore me at any point and kept me intrigued throughout, I ended up liking aspects of all three people :D! Good work!
I liked how simple and chill this is! I totally agree with one of the commenters above about simplicity. You don't really need a lot to make a nice game. Less is more. Great job!
Cool game! The graphics are really pretty and the internet mechanic is a nice concept! The game got a bit too hard and overwhelming when lots of quests started popping up and also at some point there was a spy quest that just made me essentially gain no money because I was losing $50 so I couldn't expand further. Not sure what I did wrong.
cute bat art! I like the experimentation with the base flappy bird mechanic, this added a nice touch to it
@kremlebot sorry that that was your experience :( can you expand a bit more on what made it unbalanced and impossible to play? I tried to make it challenging but also fair
@murumart @lohii thank you, that's really good feedback! I'll keep those in mind for next time.
The DJ mechanic was really awesome! Solid work, good job!
FYI I was playing it on Fedora Linux and it was running fine for me.
Pretty cool physics engine! Always a nice feeling to make your own stuff!
The graphics of the enemies were really good and the tower variation made it a bit more interesting.
The feedback I'd give is that the music felt a bit repetitive after a while and also the player felt like he was sliding on ice as you're walking which made movement not as smooth as it could be. Moreover I think some SFX on enemy death + the tower projectiles would make it feel more fun.
Finished all the maps, I have to admit like other people it felt a bit unintuitive and I ended up just changing frequency back and forth and spamming broadcast until the mountain ended up making a hole I could go through and then spamming broadcast some more would push me to the other side. What really dragged my attention to this game and kept me playing was the amazing and simple graphics and audio, truly well done!
Fun game! Cool concept but I feel like the signal mechanic didn't really matter much as I just spammed archer + defense towers without really thinking about it. Overall solid work!
One of my favorite games this jam! The art is great and the gameplay was pretty fun, I love how you combined the driving & puzzle concepts together and the world is designed really well, the movement was really smooth and satisfying and the sound effects were nice as well. Amazing work!
The robot is cute, I liked the mini games and the short story :)
Nice little game, I liked the concept of ants shooting fireballs, that's cool af. Like another commenter I didn't find the reason to hide my ants since the spiders just went for me however I liked the idea.
what an absurd game! loved the surrealistic feel of it. Also F1 secret? ;)
This was lovely, the loot-upgrade loop reminded me a lot of Dome Keeper, the sounds and the atmosphere were amazing as well, great job!
This was such a cool game! The art is amazing, extremely polished game!
This was quite fun to play but hard! Loved the music and sfx and the idea is quite original, great work!
The tuning of the dials is such a fun mechanic! well done
