Happiness by OddballDave 2026-04-20T10:15:36Z

Sorry, the link isn't working for me so I can't play :(

Happiness by OddballDave 2026-04-20T12:04:08Z

I think I'm running into a different problem now. Based on how some the symbols look, I'm assuming they're unicode text icons, and so I think some of them got messed up in the export. I had the same problem with my game when I was trying to use the delta sign. This could just be an issue on my end though, but lmk because your game seems really cool from what I can tell, but most of the icons in the game are like this unfortunately. weird.png

Happiness by OddballDave 2026-04-20T16:43:24Z

That was incredible, thanks for fixing it! It felt like playing an old newgrounds game, it was so good! I had some troubles figuring out how to drop stuff, but I think that's just because my brain is fried at the moment. I also had a weird temptation to click the item prompt that shows up when you hover over an object instead of the actual object, and the collision box only covers the actual item, so I'd end up just clicking on the ground a lot of the time. Those are all very minor things though, I'm so glad you got it working for me! This is one of my favorites so far. It's got some pretty creative puzzles in it that didn't leave me stumped for too long, and at the same time were really satisfying to figure out. Amazing work!

Operation Alien Translation by Sheepolution 2026-04-21T02:45:21Z

I wish I took a picture of my final set of words! I love this idea so much! It's such a great twist on these language games. The art is crazy good as well.

Misplaced by manabreak 2026-04-20T18:16:40Z

I may or may not have immediately softlocked myself by dropping the box inside of the wall, but outside of that slight hiccup, this was pretty good! It's easy for me, even as a dev myself, to forget the amount of care that goes into a game. It's like getting to share a piece of yourself with a bunch of strangers, so thank you for reminding me of that. I've been a bit harsh on some of the games in this jam even though I should know how much must've gone into them. I did kinda only see the dialogue during the ending cutscene though because I spammed one of the reading prompts, so it kept looping over and over. I do really appreciate the fact that there is a coyote timer for the jump, even though it's a game jam. It saved me from what would be many frustrating falls. Overall, great job with this!

Misplaced by manabreak 2026-04-20T18:54:10Z

@manabreak That's just how it goes I guess, especially if you have any physics in your game. It's impossible to test all the edge cases in time. At the very least, the bugs you have are very tiny. I don't envy the poor souls who exported the project at the last minute just to find out that the build doesn't work. Anyways thanks for that ending cutscene, it meant a lot to my sleep deprived brain stem.

The Lineman by tater-hater 2026-04-20T04:30:26Z

Almost gave up because I didn't realize that I had to hit the lever haha, but I figured it out and I actually really liked this one! It's glitchy in all the best ways. I doubt it was intentional, but the weirdly clipping text boxes and disappearing sprites added to the weird surreal feeling of the game. Gameplay was fairly basic, but I enjoy me some fetch quests. I do wish that the choices you make led to something, but it's still pretty neat.

Send Null by bog13 2026-04-19T22:36:16Z

failed.png

Pretty cool game, but I kinda had no idea what I was doing. I think that's probably my fault though considering I've gotten a total of 10 hours of sleep this whole jam. It was playing a hit sound effect every once in a while and I honestly have no idea what it meant. The idea is great though, it kinda felt like a mini-metroidvania under time pressure.

Third Move by Rudenko 2026-05-08T23:45:43Z

This is so much fun! This feels like it would fit right in as a UFO50 game. I died on stage 11 which it seems like a lot of other people did. I tried just getting a lot of scanning tools rather than weapons, which was my downfall. There were so many enemies on that level that even with a 4x4 cannon it wasn't enough. Super great work! Hopefully you get rated in time because this has gotta be one of my favorites!

Winnerman Scams a Game Show by 100th_Coin 2026-04-22T18:44:27Z

I would love to play this, it sounds incredible, but I don't have Windows unfortunately. I don't know how difficult it is to do with Unity, but a web build would be much appreciated, and would get a lot more people to play it!

Edit: I got it working and I loved it! It must've been crazy to make this in such a short amount of time. Extremely creative, and I appreciated the hints!

Winnerman Scams a Game Show by 100th_Coin 2026-04-22T19:01:43Z

@alaah For some reason I couldn't get Wine to work, but I got it working using Steam's proton. That's my bad haha, I'm not too good with Linux.

FULL CLASP : Clasp Warfare by ragtagradical 2026-04-20T02:38:05Z

I don't think they liked my handshake. handshake.png

Got a decent improvement, but I think the world is still getting nuked to smithereens. I absolutely love the idea for this game. I'm pretty terrible at it, and I'm still not totally sure what makes a good or bad handshake, but this has some serious style to it. Great work! improvement.png

Pyre Lookout by outstar 2026-04-24T22:15:24Z

HOW??? WHAT!?? The writing is sooooo good, the portraits are beautiful, and the music fits perfectly. Some things might need a bit more work, like the dice rolling, but overall this was amazing. It's similar to Disco Elysium while still carving its own identity. Really, really great work!

A Short Flight by Rongo Matane 2026-04-22T23:03:24Z

This is just amazing. Even with a team this big, it's still a herculean task to make something like this in such a short amount of time. There's so many fine details which normally get ignored in a jam that are spot on here. Incredible stuff! I'd love to see a full release of this. It's not all that connected to the theme, but that's a small price to pay for this masterpiece.

After The Fact by adam-gould 2026-04-20T13:51:42Z

This was great! Some of the puzzles were maybe a little half-baked, but everything else is amazing! I thought the music didn't fit at first because I assumed it was going for a more melancholy tone, but it made sense by the end. Overall, great entry! The story was really cute.

TellyBuddy by ColeSlaughter 2026-04-21T02:23:42Z

How on earth did you make this in only three days??? This is better than most full-priced horror games I see on Steam!! And I don't even wanna know what kind of black magic you have to be using to get that static shader working so beautifully! I was a bit confused by the ending, but I still loved this game. Definitely the coolest thing I've played thus far. Amazing work!

Sound Signals by pres2300 2026-04-21T03:08:39Z

It was pretty eerie to just wander around these empty planes, but some variety definitely would have been for the best. But your goal for this jam was to work on audio, so I would consider it a success :)

Sound the Horns by kr4ft3r 2026-04-20T03:37:22Z

I didn't have a clue what was going on at first, but once it clicked it's really quite a cool idea. The AI is a little too bad at the game because I can kinda just send all my units at once and it works anyways, but I'm sure it works a lot better when playing with someone else.

Lignas by Akadream 2026-05-08T23:14:07Z

I beat the game but I still didn't understand what I was doing by the end. That might be my fault though haha

Router Wilds by Brainoid 2026-04-21T23:41:06Z

That was pretty awesome! Every level feels very distinct. The mechanics are so flexible that they seem like they can lead to some pretty crazy level design. I think having very precise movement, like in the last level, doesn't feel great when everything is spinning around like that, but I enjoyed the challenge!

Jim's Quest for Birthday present by Sobigdrasil 2026-04-21T00:27:28Z

Wow, I absolutely loved this. After such a stressful couple of days, this almost made me cry, everything in this game just felt like a nice warm hug. From the music, to the art, to the sound effects, everything is just so, so incredible. It's not often I get so emotionally attached to an incremental game haha, you all did such an amazing job!

Pawn Patron by deformhead 2026-04-24T03:57:04Z

This had some interesting puzzles that were obfuscated by the time rush. The puzzles only vary slightly between attempts based no what moves you start with, so it just feels stressful and a little unnecessary. There's pretty much no delay on using a move, so it feels very responsive to sprint through a solution you already know. Overall, I enjoyed the puzzles, but I didn't enjoy redoing them when I died.

Monolith by William Corrin 2026-04-20T04:52:09Z

I got a lot to say about this game. Just gonna ramble whatever comes to mind. Sensitivity was really high for me even though I already have a pretty low DPI. I LOVE THE RELOAD SOUND EFFECT. It fits so well with the half-cartoonish atmosphere. I wasn't really sure what mood the game was going for, but I liked it nonetheless. It feels great to strafe around enemies, but they have a bit too much health for my liking, and aren't fast enough to pose any real threat. I spent a while just running around trying to get more crystals because I didn't realize that the stone platforms were the triggers for the battles. The gun doesn't feel very weighty, but I still enjoyed combat for what it was. The atmosphere/environment is definitely the best part of this game.

Avalanche by JulienLussiez 2026-04-20T08:40:13Z

How the heck did these guys get up here???

wolves.png

Anyways this was a pretty neat experience. It was a little tedious by the end when you had to scour the map for the last few guys, but I still liked it a lot. I kind of wish it made use of the climbing more. The added verticality really makes the isometric art shine. When I was just walking around the flat parts, it felt pretty barren.

Aye Aye, Can't See! by Avhatar 2026-04-20T02:27:05Z

There's so many things going on here that I love, like the sonar, but it just feels really sluggish and unintuitive to control. Although that might be an intentional choice so that the upgrades are more impactful. The shaders going on here are really cool. I especially love how you can see where an enemy is by their sonar, that just feels incredible. Sorry that I couldn't finish it, I'm just really bad at this game.

Marsacre by ThorPalsson 2026-04-25T01:54:18Z

I really enjoyed the first two levels, but that boss fight was brutally long. I was ready to be done after phase one, but then it just kept going. It wasn't challenging at all, and it had so much health that I was basically just running backwards and shooting for over 10 minutes straight. Besides that though, this was great! Shooting feels good, even without much audio feedback for a hit, and the overall style of the game is so unique.

Adventures in Xenolinguistics! by kristinamay 2026-04-20T14:58:57Z

When I saw how big the word list was, I was completely awestruck! Even though you didn't finish it, what you have now is more than enough for a game jam. Maybe if I get the chance I'll try to bunker down with the rest of the words, but I'm more than happy with what's already in the game. You did a fantastic job! The clues you gave were really excellent. Not giving too much away while leaving some breathing room for the player in case they're having trouble.

Sparkle Sweeper by tetrapteryx 2026-05-08T23:00:05Z

I went in expecting a minesweeper variant, but it felt much more like I was just using a metal detector. I like the art, but the game itself wasn't fun for me. The difficulty progression only made the game more and more tedious over time. With the game as it is, it's just really hard to make it enjoyable for longer than a minute or so without changing the core loop.

Cave Man Conversations by SirLich 2026-04-20T17:20:39Z

This was wonderful! It was pretty tough though, I doubt I would've been able to finish it without the hint system, so thanks for implementing that for dumbos like me. The pattern of writing became pretty repetitive, but it was kinda funny because of it, so I don't think I have any real negative notes. Good work!

Buried Treasure by Pincushion 2026-04-20T13:35:25Z

I think the mechanics are pretty solid here! I'm glad the battery didn't work because I wouldn't have had the money to even buy the battery recharge. I think the game is honestly better off without that kind of system anyways. You wouldn't have any real choice whether or not to buy the recharge, so it would end up being more like a tax than anything. The game needs a bit of polish, but I enjoyed searching for all the treasure.

Also I think the web build is broken for me. I spawned in some kind of limbo. It looks kinda pretty though. I had to download the game instead, which fixed everything. hell.png

Space Operator by MtWhateverest 2026-05-08T22:47:48Z

The idea is neat, I just wish it was a bit harder. It could be cool to have dialogue for the distress signals rather than a flat description, which would make it more of a puzzle to figure out what situation they're in and which ship to send. With the current system, it tells you exactly what to send and what planet to go to, so the only challenge is in figuring out how to play the game in the first place. I also think that it's not entirely clear that some of the smaller planets are interactable. I thought they were just background fluff at first. Other than that, this is pretty cool!

Borjomi - the Broken Bat by mackain 2026-04-22T18:21:30Z

I like the idea, and the art for the lil bat guy, but it feels like it's missing a lot of what made Flappy Bird fun. It gets you addicted to chasing new high-scores because the rounds start out difficult and only get more difficult, which means you're never bored and the rounds are usually short enough that they get you wanting to give it another go. For this game though, I felt like it was more of an endurance test for my wrist to keep clicking. The jump was maybe a little too small. It signaled so often that the limited vision didn't have much of an impact besides giving me a bit of a headache haha. I still enjoyed it!! But I didn't feel that drive to play another round.

Switchboard by James_7777 2026-04-21T01:03:24Z

What an amazing entry! I agree with vanny96 that the text is a bit hard to read, but it's not a dealbreaker by any means. I like that you didn't try to turn this into a time-based game where you're rushing against the clock, but I feel like the puzzles need a bit more sauce. They're pleasant to do, but they don't have any real challenge to them. You can play the whole game using only one cable, which feels like a bit of a missed opportunity. Maybe you could require that each line has to stay on for a certain amount of turns until you can move it? I can already see some holes in my suggestion, but I hope you can see what I'm getting at. Great game though! I loved how it told its story through the gameplay, and all the little ambient sound effects in the background really built up the atmosphere. Good work!

legs.png

ROV-R by Abiral 2026-04-22T17:43:02Z

It's got some good polish on it, but I think the gameplay loop wasn't all that much fun for me. If you don't rush it, it feels really difficult to lose, and when you do, it's frustrating because it was just one tiny mistake. Good work though, I still enjoyed it!

Simon Says by Paroxysmal 2026-04-20T04:15:34Z

I think I can see what you were going for, but I'm not really sure. I liked the bit at the end where you had to remember your way back to the middle in the dark, but besides that, it was just walking through a maze. I think the signals were supposed to help you find where the lamps were, but they were all in plain sight so the signals didn't really do much besides being providing some neat ambient lighting. signallllll.png

Bee Bee Revolution by Xeltide 2026-04-22T17:52:37Z

I don't think my laptop can run this haha. Could be because I'm running it on Linux, but I was getting only a couple of frames on the main menu, and I couldn't start the game.

Edit: Sorry, was just being a bit dumb, but I got working, and it was so cute! I'd prefer if the bees moved a little bit faster so there was less time spent waiting for them to come back, but overall, great entry!

beee.png

Awaiting Response by DzejPi 2026-04-20T08:22:30Z

That was fantastic! Took me a while to figure out the main idea, but once I did, it was a lot of fun. The "help me, please" sound effect really got me good. You're inevitably going to have people bounce off of this when they don't understand what they're supposed to do, but there's never substance without a little bit of friction. spooky.png

Beacons by Last Angle 2026-04-20T16:19:03Z

It takes a lot for me to enjoy a maze game, but I think you've done it. This is really good! It's simple, but everything is so well made. Running away from the enemies felt great, although I will say that the beacons don't really communicate their importance that well. I just assumed they were health pickups until the very end, so I was confused as to what the goal was. I think most people would interpret the beacons as the goal, so I'm pretty sure that was just my sleep deprivation playing tricks on me. Great work!

Beacons by Last Angle 2026-04-20T16:56:48Z

@last-angle I think indicating some kind of progression in between the beacons would cure a lot of confusion there. Each beacon, besides the last one, appeared the same way without any indication of a goal or the progression towards it. I was just gettin me some health :) but however you might implement something like this depends a lot on personal taste. Some people might just show a number or progress bar, and some people might choose to implement it into the object or environment. It's not a necessity by any means though, this is mostly just nitpicking.

RESCUE by Andrey Angaev 2026-04-22T20:08:00Z

It was tough to figure out what to do, but this game is so cool! The environment is amazing. The movement feels a little sticky and unforgiving, but I would love to play whatever you all make next! With a bit more time and polish, I'd love to see what you can do.

Broken Jukebox by Pimeko 2026-04-20T18:31:43Z

The amount of copyright infringement here is a little spooky, but the game was a lot of fun! My game uses similar controls, but I never would've thought to use it with music. The little dancing guys are also pretty cool. Good job!

V.P.N. by torte478 2026-04-20T02:47:09Z

I like this quite a bit. I'm a bit of an addict when it comes to incremental games, and this just perfectly scratched that itch while still giving the player some kind of resistance. The only critique I might have is that I wish the choice of which tower to connect had more of an impact. I guess I wish it felt more like a puzzle rather than a mad dash to swap around the lines so that the enemies don't gobble up all my points. Overall though, I like it! what.png

DO THE THING! by Fredrik Andersson 2026-04-20T08:08:18Z

I really love the concept, but I think I'm a little too tired to figure it out. I might try again in the morning. I've just been fiddling around with it for 15 minutes and I feel like I have figured nothing out except that the alien guy really likes the microwave, and that I can smash the microwave door off.

We're Breaking Up by RobotChimp 2026-04-21T01:55:30Z

This was amazing! The art is incredible, and I had so much fun trying to read the convos while dodging all the random obstacles. I don't have anything negative to say about this one, it's just a great, unique experience! Good job!

McFoley's by braktheman 2026-04-23T19:32:03Z

This was such a treat to play! I was worried at first that it would only have the first three recipes, but then it kept ramping it up each level in such a perfect way. I do kinda wish that the recipes at the end had a bit more variety to them in terms of gameplay, but for a jam this is fantastic. It has such a great feeling of mastery to it as you slowly get into the groove of things and memorize each of the recipes. It would have been nice to have an extra level at the end without adding another element in there just to let the player go loose now that they're comfortable with all the recipes. I do think it could also do with some sound effects or something to make getting a right order feel more satisfying. Other than all those very minor things, this was a lot of fun! Great work!

Trailwork by sudocoffee 2026-04-20T11:50:34Z

This is pretty neat, I like floatin around like this, but I feel like I'm missing something. Either way, I enjoyed cruising around the little orbs.

Last Writes by orangeoceans 2026-04-24T01:25:55Z

This was really cool! I just personally don't like having to redo puzzles when I die. Especially because the player does not immediately move to every input, so you can't redo all of it very quickly. With that last level, it was very frustrating. I understand that it can be hard to balance the narrative and gameplay, but I just don't think death in puzzle games works too well. I already know the solution to ones I did already, so it's more of a nuisance if anything to get back to where I was.

I do totally get why you made this choice though. You're right that the puzzles can be brute-forced quite easily, but I think that's a much better problem to have in this case. With how difficult the puzzles are, it just adds further frustration that doesn't need to be there and encourages the player to completely rely on the walkthrough. In both cases, I might end up cheating my way through the puzzles, and not really engaging with it. It's a really tough problem that there's no right answer to, so that's just my opinion. One solution to this could be keeping the system you currently have, but randomizing the solution to each puzzle in some way. This would make it harder, but I think less frustrating because you are not simply redoing past work. This would have been much more difficult to implement within the jam's timeframe though.

Sorry about the long ramble, I did really love your game! The puzzles were truly brilliant, I've never seen anything like them, that's why I care so much!

Last Writes by orangeoceans 2026-04-24T13:29:43Z

@seong @orangeoceans This has given me so much to think about. I think I still disagree with the exact implementation, but the game would not have been the same without that kind of punishment. If this is the experience you wanted to make, then I can't really say it's right or wrong. I play games to experience things, and I can definitely say this was a very unique experience, so great work! It's really cool to see how much thought and care was put into this game.

Finnicky Fourier Toy by nathmate 2026-04-20T11:39:50Z

I had kind of a similar idea to this for my game, but I decided pretty quickly that I couldn't handle anything beyond sin waves. I can't even get past level three so I think I was right 😓 I love zachtronic-like games though, so I'll probably come back to this eventually.

Glorble World by aou 2026-04-20T06:00:20Z

This is great! I love me some glorbles. I may have missed something with the mechanics, but I think something with their sad and angry states needs tweaking because I was commanding them almost constantly and they were sad 90% of the time. The style of this game is great, I think I'm just not fully understanding what's going on.

Agent Gnortz by Murumart 2026-05-08T23:32:35Z

I absolutely love the art, but I don't think I totally understood how to play the game. I might've missed something in the tutorial. I still don't know if it mattered if a conversation topic was bad or not, or if the goal was to discover their opinion on all the topics. Either way, I'm getting some confusing feedback from the game. One of my last options was a bad conversation topic, which after completing led to them trusting me right after.

L.P.F. by elykx 2026-05-08T23:09:25Z

This is awesome! The art style is great, but I feel like the gameplay actively takes away from that. I spent most of my time starting down at the detector that I didn't get to appreciate the environment that much! The controls felt a little clunky, having to take my hand off the mouse to hit the arrow keys.

Do-roidhicky by Jacobloon 2026-04-22T03:54:07Z

I really love games that use unique controls! If you haven't tried out Mooncat from the UFO50 collection, you really should, it'd probably be right up your alley. I think I would have preferred less levels though, and a little more polish with the controls. I feel like the detection hit boxes on the plugs were way too small, which led to some very frustrating deaths when I barely missed it. Especially with how big the custom cursor icon is, it can be hard to click it as precisely as it needs you to. Other than that, great job!

Crashout by leenoi 2026-04-20T14:29:31Z

This is pretty cool! If you want some feedback, I guess I'd say that the traffic lights just don't feel responsive enough. It could have something to do with the fact that I still haven't slept since yesterday, but it feels really difficult to time it correctly when the cars are moving so fast. That's definitely just my sleep deprived reaction time though haha, but good job!

Piggybacker by Rinevard 2026-04-20T06:19:01Z

Gotta give this five stars just for the spinning dog. Each upgrade felt like such a massive jump which was pure dopamine straight to the cranium. I wasn't even paying attention to the actual numbers, but the constant changes in gameplay made the progression feel so much more tangible than in most incrementals. I don't really have any negative feedback. Great work!

Beacon Bound by Enryu Mirik 2026-04-20T09:17:46Z

Sorry, I wasn't able to finish this one, just couldn't figure out how to get the ships to come closer. I kept saving them with the light, but nothing changed for about fifteen minutes so I stopped. I'm probably just being a bit dumb, so my only critique of the game is that I feel like the grappling was way more fun than shining the light around. Every time I would come back from a trip outside trying to swing onto the ships, I'd come back to what felt like a chore. It felt like I was just maintaining something, rather than growing it, and that just wasn't satisfying at all. Besides all that, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Beacon Bound by Enryu Mirik 2026-04-20T12:43:30Z

@enryu-mirik Don't worry too much about it, I still had a lot of fun! There's never enough time in a game jam to make everything perfect.

WORK FASTER by Vladcfg 2026-04-20T09:44:38Z

It's working for me as well. This game is realllly satisfying to play. I might just not be that great with time pressure games like this, but I'd personally prefer a more relaxed version of this. I like doing the mindless task of sorting out all the boxes by itself, and putting that under a time constraint doesn't suddenly transform the mechanic into a frantic chaotic frenzy of fun. I still did the sorting at my own pace, even though there was a guy in the background telling me to hurry up the whole time. The activity of sorting the boxes just felt inherently slow-paced, so no matter what you do to change it, it's still gonna be slow-paced. This might just be a problem with me, so feel free to ignore this if you disagree!

Extremely Loud Frog Toy by peppersalt07 2026-04-23T23:24:43Z

This game got beamed directly into my soul and kept me in a trance for 20 minutes. I don't really have any feedback haha, this just clicked with me. I'm also really grateful for the tutorials you linked! Verlet integration and IK have always been things that I could never get quite right, but your game is making me want to give it another shot! Amazing work!

Edit: I gotta tear myself away from this thing! I've kept coming back throughout the day. I'm weirdly obsessed with it, just scratches a part of my brain so well! I almost wish I could use it as a virtual pet of some kind.

Beat the Signal by Fassenberg 2026-04-24T20:34:29Z

I wasn't sure if there was a way to die at first. I'm still not really sure how I died, like if there's a health bar or something that I missed, or if it's getting hit multiple times in a row. There's some pretty great polishing here, although the flashing lights could maybe be dialed down a bit. Having a tutorial was definitely nice. I love the sound effect for picking up coins. I think dashing didn't feel very responsive, maybe because there was no indication of the cooldown or when it would end. This was pretty fun! Solid work!

OMG THIS GAME IS SO AWESOME ofice.png I suck at it so much, but I wouldn't be surprised if this ends up being my favorite game from this jam. The art is absolutely incredible, and the gameplay reminds me of Lucas Pope's games. I really love what you got going on here. I would buy it in a heartbeat if it were on steam in a more polished state. The only thing holding this game back is player feedback. I just have no idea when I get something wrong, so I have no idea how to correct the mistake in the future. The hints are pretty easy to misinterpret, which I don't think is a bad thing at all, but only finding out what you did wrong at the end of the day leads to me just having to guess whatever it was that I messed up. Other than that, incredible work!!

Please, Don't Hang Up (DEMO) by Alex O 2026-04-23T23:46:26Z

This is a great start!

Signal by Trav 2026-04-20T07:45:53Z

Wow this one is hard! I don't think I'm gonna be able to get past Level 2. It feels like you're given just barely enough time to finish. It felt like tetris, where each mistake just builds up the pressure. I like that aspect a lot, but without the requisite time to recover from your mistakes, I found myself just instantly restarting any time I messed up. Anyways, it makes for some cool puzzles, but my brain is too fried at the moment to do any better than the first level.

LOUD TOWN by qwesasuke 2026-04-20T15:30:29Z

I was running around for ages trying to find that fourth radio and I just couldn't find it. I swear I scoured every pixel of the map, but I guess I must've just barely missed. I did manage to find my way outside of the map though. Not sure if it's intentional or not, but I kinda like it. It's like a secret safe passageway to get to other parts of the map. I think there are tiny gaps on most of the fences on the outside.

As for feedback, I really enjoyed my time with this game. I like how the enemies lunge at the player. It creates a kind of natural distance you try to keep from them, and if you get too close then you start to panic. It's simple, but really effective.

This is a neat little puzzler. I'm just not very good at sokoban games so I'm stopping at level 4, but I like it.

GIMME TV by pocketdog 2026-04-21T01:43:38Z

The game feel on this goes so insane. Shooting feels so good. The combat doesn't have much depth to it and it's pretty easy, but the game feel alone makes it soooo much fun! Great work polishing everything, it's definitely not easy to get that stuff right!

SERG by greedy 2026-04-22T17:25:35Z

Sorry, I just wasn't really sure what to do. I couldn't seem to start the mission, I tried clicking all over the screen and on the truck outside, but I couldn't figure it out. From what I can tell though, it seems like a lot of work went into this, especially considering you were sick!

Temple Transmitter by carlosthecasual 2026-04-20T03:10:19Z

This is amazing for your first game! The level design is pretty clever, although I do wish it was a bit longer. I don't have any real critique for the gameplay, but what I can say is that the looping audio got old pretty quick, but besides that, I don't really have anything bad to say. Good job!

Boba’s Love Story by ble 2026-04-20T05:08:04Z

Such a great game! Getting it to detect the right shape can be a little finicky, but besides that everything in this is just so well done.

Joe's Alien Assault by aruseus 2026-04-22T17:30:58Z

This was pretty fun. Some more work on the audio really would've brought this to life though. Even just adding some randomness to the pitch of the shooting sound would've helped a lot.

Hold Your Horfes by RedEye Games 2026-04-20T03:25:03Z

I'm so bad at gambling but I love it. gambling.png

The races could go by a little faster. It felt like most of the time I was just sitting around waiting for the horses to be in the right state to startle.

Hold Your Horfes by RedEye Games 2026-04-20T12:23:11Z

@redeye-games Yeah that makes a lot of sense. I struggled getting the high reward horses to win even on this speed, so I imagine it'd just be a lot harder when they're going fast.

Last Transmission by GlitchProduction 2026-04-20T12:55:38Z

That was a nice little set of mini-games! The UI could use some work, along with the lack of audio, but overall it wasn't bad at all.

Signal from the depths by haker2377 2026-05-08T22:35:42Z

It was tough to get a hang of, but this was super cool! I'm guessing you were inspired by Iron Lung. There's some polishy things that need some work, but the core experience is great.

Cash Harbor by stayawayfrommeow 2026-04-21T01:19:04Z

This was pretty cute! I feel like it could've really benefited from a custom font that matched the watercolor artstyle, but that's asking way too much for a game jam haha. Progression felt good, albeit a little disjointed. You end up with so many different types of resources that they all kind of blend together and lose all meaning.

Housesitting by hby 2026-04-20T10:50:43Z

I enjoyed this, but there's not really any room here for the player if you get what I mean. You're just doing a very defined set of tasks that the game won't let you do incorrectly. It's less of a game and more like an interactive movie. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing though, I still had some fun getting spooked by the TV.

Chromawalk by Zyertdox 2026-04-20T10:34:48Z

I love these puzzles so much! The last one had me stumped for a while because I didn't realize that the whole top row counted as a win, I thought it was only the center for some reason. It feels really good to solve these because at first it can seem like a big tree of branching paths, but when you start from the beginning, you can quickly cut off a ton of possibilities until there's only one solution remaining.

ULTRA-RADAR by ZezinhoESR 2026-04-23T20:41:44Z

This is definitely one of the better sonar games I've seen so far, but it still needs a little bit of work. Unless I was missing something, the enemies start going way faster than the sonar can possibly scan, so it pretty quickly turned into a blind frenzy where I was just shooting randomly. That's fun in its own right, but it does get old after a bit. Maybe you could have the player choose when to scan the environment, make the enemies slower so that you have time to see them, and give the player a limited number of bullets that they can refill from killing enemies? Overall though, this was a pretty fun and unique experience!

highscoooore.png

btw I'm coming from your post, and I can see that it's also your first time participating in LD! The great thing about this community is that there's not much bias towards people that are more well-known. If you want people to check out your game, all you gotta do is rate a ton of other games and give decent feedback! Obviously not everyone wants to do that after such a grueling 48 hour jam, but if you have the time then I'd say go for it! I can drop some of my favorite games as well if you want a place to start.

Echo by FlameSeer 2026-04-21T18:52:13Z

I beat your high score! I really like the signalling effect, I'm definitely gonna check out how you did that. There was nothing to stop the player from spamming the sonar though. I think if you had a limited number of uses, or a cooldown of some kind, it would vastly improve the game. As is, I might as well be playing with full vision with how much I'm spamming the sonar haha. My little crab guy also didn't have his rotation freezed, so when I walked against a wall, he rotated a bit, and I feel like my speed was way slower after that for whatever reason. The foundations here are great though, good work!

Propaganda and Rhetoric by hammeredzombie 2026-04-20T10:05:49Z

I'm kinda stuck but I like the idea. I found the things I was supposed to find, but when I put it in the dossier, it still says I'm wrong. Not sure if I'm still missing a piece of the puzzle, or if I'm just inputting it wrong. Good game though, I love seeing multimedia projects like this.

i love you, too by tolviere 2026-04-20T09:21:19Z

@vladcfg I definitely could've done a better job of making the story coherent, but I'm glad you still enjoyed it!

@julienlussiez this game looks sick as hell thanks for telling me about it!

i love you, too by tolviere 2026-04-20T12:12:57Z

@manabreak I'm glad it wasn't too easy or too difficult. It's really hard to get the right difficulty for a jam game, so I tried to veer on the easier side so as to not scare anyone away. Good luck with your game, it sounds pretty cool!

i love you, too by tolviere 2026-04-20T13:09:39Z

@julienlussiez Even if it has some flaws, I could probably have fun in this game just for it's art style alone. Thanks so much for the suggestion, and for checking out my game!

i love you, too by tolviere 2026-04-20T15:42:06Z

@dzejpi Feel free to check out the source code, even though it's a complete mess. As soon as I found out how to do the text effects, I used them everywhere I could, I just love them so much. I maybe should've toned it down a bit, but I couldn't help myself. I didn't even really have to program them because Godot comes with something called BBCode that does it all for you. I'm not sure what game engine you use, but you can look at this if you're interested (ctrl-f wavy to go straight to it): https://docs.godotengine.org/en/stable/tutorials/ui/bbcode_in_richtextlabel.html

If you don't use Godot, then I don't think that'll help you much unfortunately :(

I also used the Dialogue Manager addon which pretty much handles all the text scrolling and transitions and whatnot.

Thank you all so much for the kind words, it really means a lot after how hard I worked on it the past two days!

@mischa-98 I did go kinda off the rails at the end with the story haha, and I agree with you that the dials get very tedious. Trust me, I've probably played this game over a hundred times, it got old REAL quick which is why I tried to keep the game pretty short. Thanks for checking it out! I really appreciate the feedback.

i love you, too by tolviere 2026-04-21T17:28:27Z

@avhatar Thank you so much for recording this! Great feedback as well! I can see now that I've made the margin of error for some of the waves wayyyyy too high. I couldn't really figure out a way to increase the difficulty without just decreasing the margin of error, but when I was playtesting it, a lower margin of error was just more frustrating and tedious. Let me know if you have any suggestions. Thanks for checking it out even though puzzle games aren't your thing!

i love you, too by tolviere 2026-04-22T01:17:42Z

@100th-coin This was so much fun to watch! I love your voice acting haha. The closeness of the two waves isn't too complicated to calculate because each wave is a bunch of points all connected by lines, so I just added up the difference in height for each point. Thanks for recording this, it's really helpful!

i love you, too by tolviere 2026-04-24T01:33:06Z

@hammeredzombie haha I'm glad you're honest about the story! I'm taking Signals and Systems right now, so this theme was perfect for me. Glad I could resolve your EE trauma lol

i love you, too by tolviere 2026-04-24T01:36:58Z

@caeonosphere Yeah that's honestly my main regret, I just wish I had added some kind of difficulty progression! More knobs could've been cool, but I didn't wanna scopecreep too much.

Signal bonefire by Dugw1 2026-04-20T12:38:36Z

This was nice and relaxing. There's not much challenge to it, which I would ordinarily say is a bad thing, but I just played about 10 different puzzle games in this jam and they all beat me to a pulp so I'm really grateful to have something easier to heal my soul.
