very interesting set up, a little bit on the heavy on text but for the mood and the stori is very cool also, the frog has rizz no cap

Loved this game; graphics, music and text all really building the mood! Beautiful art, lovely music and an engaging story.

Excellent work -- well done!

Gotta say, this is really well done - from writing to the overall level of polish. Even though it's mostly a text adventure, it still looks, sounds and feels pretty good. The story is engaging, especially thanks to a couple of moments when the stakes suddenly escalate. And the way it's written makes it quite fun to read. Overall, that's some high quality stuff, congrats!

This was very cool. The writing is great. It had me chuckling quite a few times. I loved Disco Elysium and I can see the inspirations here, distilled in a jam format. Really well done.

Managed to get everyone out of the fire!!

This was super awesome! I really really loved the writing here, made me laugh so many times! I failed almost every check, which made most situations even more hilarious :) But when things got serious, I managed to get the two-people-per-helicopter regulation from Phylis, which felt awesome ~~(even if I don't think it altered the ending in the end)~~! The characters here were all great and had a ton of personality, I especially loved Cliff (Clyde?) the mystery toilet man, hilarious concept :) And the ending definitely had a ton of tension, I really dreaded having to pick one person to save (although it would've definitely been my fellow frog lover Jayda), but luckily Scott bailed me out against all odds. Just amazing writing all around, one of the best stories I've ever experienced in a jam game!!

The rest of it was really good too, the music and graphics matched the story perfectly and added a ton to the experience. The moment when the fire got serious and the entire background (both visually and audibly) got filled with it was so cool! It was also really polished all around (the UI felt great), which I definitely appreciated. Really can't think of any feedback, amazing entry!

outstar 2026-04-21 19:16

@frogravity huge thanks for playing the game and leaving your feedback! I'll check if Phylis' form logic is bugged, it should've let you pick two folks, but helicopter maths took me A LOT and it's very possible I screwed something up (SPOILER ALERT: in helicopter ending, you can get one, two, or four helicopters, and Phylis form additionally allows helicopters to take two people, so it affects the math. :D)

Cool game!

Cool game!

recursor 2026-04-21 19:40

Yeah this was really great. I've not played Disco Elysium, but if it is anything like this it must be pretty good. I played through the whole thing. I thoroughly enjoyed the graphics, ambient audio, and the interesting dialogue. Well done @outstar and @titos2k!

Very well polished, the art and music was also very nice

Amazing entry! I am blown away by the level of polish — the game looks and plays as a complete standalone, considering the scope was clearly huge.

Also I loved the bureaucracy satire that made this game so charming! Great characters too (I loved Scott the most he is delightfully pathetic <3

Holly shit. Disco elysium is one of my favorite games and you nailing the artstyle with the portraits and the gameplay with the neat UI and the rolls is already impressive on it's own, but the writing is sooo on point. I genuinely burst out laughing at many interactions with Jadya (even screened the one withe the frog). I usually try to give positive but also critical feedbacks but nothing actually comes to my mind for the critical part. Really one of my favourite game of all editions, congratulations ! If I wanted to make an unrealistic claim I would just ask for audio voicing for the narrator cause it would fit perfectly. (But no one has the time to do this in 48h).

Well done and HARDCORE TO THE MEGA

gamayun-games 2026-04-23 21:10

great job! i was greatly invested in the story and you've created really unique characters. the bureucracy while everything is on fire is top-notch :) frankly speaking, i think the game would be even better if it was not sometimes that similar to disco elysium but was its own thing — i believe that you are 100% capable of creating something unique it it could look even cooler! i had fun, thank you :)

korzhik 2026-04-23 22:29

Really well-written dialogue and story. Disco Elysium vibes are definitely there. The visual style is great too. Very meditative, unhurried pace. There's a lot of text so keep that in mind. The characters feel alive - nothing feels artificial. Excellent game, keep it up.

fae-pdf 2026-04-23 23:02

Holy shit the writing??????????? Can we talk about this???????????????????????????????????? This was insane. The Disco Elysium vibes are immaculate. I had so much fun reading this whole thing out loud and doing voices, I wish it had voice-over. (I wish I could give it voice-over lmao.) Immaculate entry. Gorgeous. The atmosphere, the mood, the vibes, it's so strangely calm and so strangely tense at the same time. Absolutely Kafkaesque work. Love it love it love it. Great job. Gold star sticker, not "you tried" but "you did it"

marudziik 2026-04-23 23:05

Wow, what a complete experience. It's incredible, and even more incredible being a Jam entry. The writing is just great, the gameplay simple but actually works well, allowing the player to focus on the story. Music is awesome and illustrates the story very well, and the gfx is consistent and matches the overall atmosphere.

I enjoyed the game very much, and it's one of the best I've seen this LD so far. Awesome work, congrats!

sebbot 2026-04-24 03:43

Legitimately bewildering to me that you were able to make this in a Ludum Dare. Well done! Fantastic art, I loved the writing, and the game has rizz, no cap.

strega 2026-04-24 05:33

Really amazing vibes and aesthetic. The AI references were too real lol. The transitions were well done and the narrative was interesting and witty. Great job!

aurel300 2026-04-24 12:32

Lovely!

I saw your screenshot on Discord showing the wip script and I wondered just how much story this would turn out to be (: The UI work is very nice and makes one appreciate just how much goes into making a good CRPG dialogue system. The "actual" world you walk around in is pretty, I guess also quite static, but it's a good use of the assets. The music is unobstructive but very appropriate for setting the mood.

I appreciated how all the characters you interact with have a distinct personality and feel, though they are caricatures/exaggerations. I would have loved to see more of these characters, or maybe more moments where they somehow interact or acknowledge each other (the moment Jayda talked about Phylis comes to mind). I wished that filling out *the new form* were more of an event/dialogue also rather than a single sentence that you get after Scott restarts the router.

The RNG mechanics don't play all that much of a role, I almost wondered if they should have not been in the game at all? The bonuses/penalties you get all affect the odds by 10% I suppose? But still it goes with the Disco Elysiumness of it all (:

fabelay 2026-04-24 21:42

I connected with the Frog! This is a great game, that reminded me a lot of Disco Elysium and Firewatch of course. The atmosphere is amazing, the humor is also nice! I liked the change in background when the fire grows near, I got scared, lol. Only thing I can give to improve it is mostly, that the wall of text was a little too much of me, especially because it often jumped around and I needed to look for the part I didnt read yet, whenever I continued the dialogue. Oh! We have almost the identical settings menu in our games, lol!

tolviere 2026-04-24 22:15

HOW??? WHAT!?? The writing is sooooo good, the portraits are beautiful, and the music fits perfectly. Some things might need a bit more work, like the dice rolling, but overall this was amazing. It's similar to Disco Elysium while still carving its own identity. Really, really great work!

2026-04-24 22:38

very well made game, it feels solid overall.

i’ll admit at some point i just started clicking through everything without really reading or choosing carefully, and still managed to save everyone from the fire. now i’m curious, are there different endings if you make more deliberate choices?

it has a strong mood to it, for sure.

this is so good!!! what the........ amazing polish, you set the mood perfectly. I haven't played Disco Elysium but now you made me want to.

automatonvx 2026-04-25 20:01

Made the fatal mistake of hesitating.. lessons learned. I had fun, it's very text heavy obviously, but the writing is good enough to carry it. Ambient music sets the tone nicely and the art and character portraits also hold up their end. I really should go back and finish Disco Elysium :). Nice work.

2026-04-26 16:47

Another solid entry i must say! Music, Mood, Graphics, Story man an absolut blast, the only thing that would have felt a tad more amazing if u asked me if u would have let me rolled myself. But honestly thats complaining on the highest level. 4.99/5 from me!

Wow, what a mood you've crafted between all the elements and the writing. This amount of solid dialog within a weekend is really impressive. Frustratingly bureaucratic and had me invested for the whole thing.

criatura-nocturna 2026-04-27 01:22

Deliciously infuriating kafkian nightmare. At some point I stopped being "bothered" and just kept giggling and reading with morbid curiosity. So yeah, the writing is great, but so is the way it was all put together. A fantastic entry!

2026-04-27 04:24

Amazing writing. And I mean it. If this was the intro stage of a Disco Elysium style game I would just have kept on reading and reading and playing because this text is really outstanding. Definitely loved the entry and the dynamic and kind of lowkey hope you want to create a game in this style because I feel I love your writing style and the vibe imposed here, the humor mixed with the bleak.

I loved this! I’ve yet to play Disco Elysium, but with the comparison, now I want to. This was HILARIOUSLY written, and even though I’ve never worked in an office, I absolutely felt it in my bones.

I also thought it was hysterical that I failed almost every single attempt at a challenge somehow 😅

carraka 2026-05-05 03:40

This felt like Disco Elysium, one of my favorite games, and the enemy was bureaucracy and the tedium of office-life. I felt like all this needed was a longer animation on the dice roll to build up suspense to the result.

fabonacci 2026-05-06 18:25

Amazing work ! And specially the writting, it was catching. But everything else is polished. Nice entry !

iluvatar 2026-05-06 18:40

The DE inspiration is more than obvious and that is a good thing in my books! The atmosphere and writing is absolutely unmatched. I'm sure this game will end up in top 10 moodiest game this Ludum Dare. I truly enjoyed this masterpiece. You are very talented team, and I'm sure you will be able to do big things together :)

ethan-allwood 2026-05-07 05:09

I love the disco elysium format and this had great writing so I really enjoyed it! The dialogue and characters were completely infuriating in the best ways.

tyrannas 2026-05-09 14:12

Woooh 1st in mood and 7 overall congratulations !!
