Thanks ! Yes we would to make the game engine better and to avoid to get some stack problem with block appear but we missing the timer.
Maybe in the future we'll correct this ;)

Wow, thank you so much for your comment @nightsong ! There is a lot to say in this game and you raised major of them. We are really proud of us because we was only two with no skill in sound design and pixel art it was the first time i used MonoGame. So it was a challenge for us.
I know we don't have any UI and it's the main problem to create beatuiful interface and if i should correct issues, this game would be so great.
So we'll try to make our best to improve every elements of this game and make it very entertained. Sorry for that english by the way ^^
@barret Thanks ! I know for some issues we can encounter. That was so hard sometimes to make the right collision between the player and enemies but i done my best :) Thanks for the graphics, i'm a really beginner and not a pixel art, but i'm learning and i'm already working on a graphic update for the future :)
Oh, that's interesting, i will check your game tomorrow ! Thanks for your feedback. Yeah i know for the combat system i really need to improve and i'm already working on an update. This game was very cool to develop. One of my main goal is for many months / years to develop an Action RPG game in this style. But the point of pixel art was blocking me. But i'm constantly improving this point and i know that i will do my best to make the game of my dream :)
@battlecat Thanks ! Graphics and the game music was really funny to do. For the movements speed issue, it's because of i'm using integer to manage entities coordinates. But float would be better to create more varieties. My bad for that but i will take consideration of this point the next Jam
@subtlydramatic Yes, it's the point i really have to improve and i will train this point very soon to get a better system. I'll not make a "fix" for this, because i'm remaking everything to make a biggest and complete game. But it will take me a long time ^^
@tulipekoni Thanks for your comment ! Yeah, the key management is one the bad thing of the game and i have to make it better. In particular by adding game controller support which is not hard to do. And so yes, it could be more intuitive to get the same button for sword / open chest.

@kosmik123 Yeah, the next time, i'll get a menu to change the resolution and many others options. At the beginning, it was a problem, but at then end, i found how to resolve the issue but we could still block the companion. That was finally not a problem, so i let the system as the final release.
@duke Thanks for your feedback ! Yeah, i did not realize that 144hz could impact the game during the developement. Sorry about that ! Yes, i know for the pixel font. I just would have liked to create a complete pixel font for all the game but it was a bit too long.
@zubspace Thanks ! Yes, the sword animation was probably the most difficult thing to do for me ! I am a beginner in pixel art / animation so i take a long time to work on graphical aspect. I don't really know how to fix the issue when an enemy stuck in a wall because the game is already checking all collisions at each frame.. :/

Very nice entry ! Graphics are very cool, the music too ! The concept is nice, you get a good idea. The only thing is about collisions : When we move on a wall direction while we are aside it, we clip into it.

Nice game. The concept is cool. Pixel art is simple but nice. The only problem i have, it's when you hit an enemy, you will instantly be hurted by him just after you can't dodge him. You should make a cooldown on enemy attack or invulnerability for the player. Great entry :)
That's a good entry. With good puzzles, graphics are simple but effectives and a good ambiance. Nice work !
I don't really undertsant the goal of the game. It was written "Space to pick up a like" but when you're spawning and you don't see any light on the ground, you only jump while pressing Space, so it maybe need a little clarification. Also, the big problem for was i literally had 5 FPS (my computer is not so bad). The mood is nice but graphics are generally a little bit poor in my opinion if we take consideration you was 4 to make the game. The idea is good, but i think it could be better if intensity of bed's light was progressively decreasing and not instantly, and of course, increasing when we set a new light. Good luck with the rest :)

This a nice game with a good idea which is perfectly in the theme. I like the 1-bit pixel art style and the music you've made but it's kind of a shame that the collider of the sword is a too small i think and when we hit the monster, we are sure to take a hit too. We don't quite understand why the monster is here and why he's attacking the flower. A little bit of lore could be great :) Everything else is good, great work :)
Cute graphics, nice ideas but I was feeling that the game is slow at the beginning. The core concept is cool, you can make a thing with this game !
The web GL version got big problems of performances on my own. I hate that voice in the background saying things I can't understands 🤣 Graphics are good but I didn't really understand what was the goal of the game (why am I doing TP ?) and what happened each 10 seconds. Maybe adding a UI for the player to make him understand what's happening could help.
Graphics are simple but the global artistic direction is good for this type of game. A concept is easy to understand and the gameplay is chill to play and that's nice. The thing I don't liked is the character movements. I don't like the player intertia with acceleration and deceleration especially with the collisions which are not smooth so the player can be stuck on 1 pixel and this is weird. But for a COMPO game, it's was cool to play!
@save-sloth-studios I don't know what you mean about awkward controls. That was for me the best solution to be able to move, fire and aim at the same time. But I'm curious to know why it can be difficult or weird for some players.
@save-sloth-studios Ok, I see what you mean. Maybe in future version of the game. That would be nice to have an upgrade on a certain level with which the player will be able to fire automatically. I'm taking note of that point.

@thedude3600 Thanks for your comment. I would like to implement a larger variety of shooting. In the future I would like to improve the game adding a lot of feature and varieties to make the player feels that each game is different.
@darkmax14 Yeah, I know that controls are a bit weird with mouse/keyboard because I developed the game using AZERTY instead of QWERTY. There is also a problem with the mouse cursor which can go out of the window. I'll work a lot to improve controls.

The artistic direction is soooo cool. I liked to play the game even if the LD submission is unfinished (or maybe I didn't understood something). I liked the way you used the theme to transform the game. The sounds are cool too.

The art is great, the gameplay too but that was terrible for me to manage everything during the orders and cats espaces. I was completely lost. Great sounds, gameplay and nice ideas !

For a first game with your own pixel arts, graphics are not that bad. The concept is simple but that pretty cool. The only thing is that the game is so fast because there is not much diversity with all the bombs (only 4 patterns). Go on, you can do something with this
The first play of the game hard to understand and turns was confusing that I had the feeling that the Artists got a better board than me. I think you got a nice idea, but the user experience need an improvement for player to understand how to play correctly the game.

Yes, the AI was too easy at the beginning and I wanted something more challenging, it is hard to beat but there is some strategies that make it easier.
The parry is a precised mechanics and you have to do it on the first frames of the attack animation. By the way, the color of the shield is just an indicator of the attack height.
I would have a pixel art logo too but that was complicated for me to create all the assets because I'm not an artist so it's why I did not take the time to do this thing.
You're game is really cool but a bit too slow for me ;) Amazing graphics and gameplay by the way

The game is fun and innovative overall! It would just need to be polished to improve the game feel to be less rigid.
The artistic direction is effective but its not intuitive to double click on the icons, a single click would be enough. The concept is great
