Neat game! Cool concept, I liked it :) Impressively fully realized for a compo game!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD59 → Sound the Horns

I didn't have a clue what was going on at first, but once it clicked it's really quite a cool idea. The AI is a little too bad at the game because I can kinda just send all my units at once and it works anyways, but I'm sure it works a lot better when playing with someone else.
This reminds me of an amiga game. When i would play random games of my step brothers on unmarked floppy disks and have no clue what was going on. Also has a kind of monty python vibe. I won a game, then lost all until the last game. i think i knew what was going on by the end.
I get the idea now, and I like it! It's always tough with only 48 hours but its all there to build on. Well done and a unique one I've played out of all the games so far!
Could really use a tutorial, but is decently fun once you figure it out. I like the concept of trying to control a battle from a distance with only signals you can send. Would be a lot more fun against another person. A very unique and interesting concept.
Good job, and nice entry. As ppl pointed out, could need some polishing. But who really has time for something like that  really nicely done gj ^^
Once i understood how to play, it was quite engaging, even with just a computer player. I like the artstyle too, it feels like a good use of noisiness
Ay mate! I like your game, it's got that Kr4ft3r-pizzazz. After many years I still don't really know what that actually means, but you can feel it if you know what I mean  You never follow a particular style or genre, but still..
The canons I found a bit difficult to understand, I don't really know why.. I thought I needed to press shift and click the enemy. Also, they would go gray randomly I thought. After many rounds I figured it out and I see why it is designed that way. I don't really know if I was just too sleep-deprived (played it a few days ago actually), or if there is something in the communication that threw me off
I like how abstract the war feels, it really feels like the player is some kind of higher up that just cares about "win or loose" and not really care about the individuals that are giving their lives. The multiplayer is a very cool touch to say the least! I love that you did that!
Really thought-provoking game! It took me a few rounds to wrap my head around the way engagements were scored, but I once I did it was an interesting puzzle to dissect. Super impressed that you pulled this together in the Compo time limit! Congrats! :confetti_ball:
It’s definitely not for everyone, but there’s something really original about the gameplay and the overall style.
Really cool that you managed to add both PvE and local multiplayer (and even EvE!) I *think* I developed some strategy over time. At least I won more than I lost. Pretty fun!
the graphics and style are really cool, i didnt get the gameplay though even reading the instructions and comments, but i still liked controlling all the soldiers in the distance so A+ on immersion for such a simple mechanic
I liked the artstyle and the roguelike aspect. I could see what the buttons were doing to influence the game but I couldnt understand what made the health deplete and felt like it was random each time either the computer or I won. Strategy or guidance welcome.
I have no idea what i was doing and besides that i still enjoyed it alot. Graphics and audio are very charming and even if i didnt understand what was going on, i was still cheering for my little... armies? idk what those are.
Ah, another weird one from our old friend **kr4ft3r**. Once again your imagination has spawned a game that stands in a class of its own. This game oozes strangeness.
The sound effects add a lot of character, and the graphics somehow fit the raw feel of this game. Still, it would be good to have Napoleonic silhouettes (even abstract ones) or something similar. Also, it would be good to have different weapons or unit types—cavalry, trenches, ~~plasma rifles~~, etc. A tall order for Ludum Dare, I know—maybe if you develop this game down the line. In any case, I was yearning for more firepower and weapons upgrades. Maybe that's just me.
As for gameplay, it was challenging to find a winning strategy. I found that stocking up on cannons and firing off a salvo before charging with infantry works well enough. It took me some time to figure it out. I tried snuff out of curiosity, but it seems to have no effect. Then again, maybe it improves morale? I wonder.
A strange game, very much in the spirit of Ludum Dare.

A well designed game and unique idea.
Really cool concept --and I'm genuinely impressed that you got multiplayer in a compo game! The prince images are great too, and I like the art style overall
Very unique game. Like the design and idea, pretty simple, but works really good
It's a very interesting game. The turn-based gameplay style is also quite enjoyable. Great design!
