LD55 — Summoning

The Summoning at River's Edge by Flaterectomy 2024-04-16T22:12:51Z

Nice work on the game, i got the worst ending first and the best in the second game, both were fun to read. As i'm not that adept in writing stories as other commentators, i can only give you on thing that bothered me a bit and that is the music loop, especially in the second play through. The music itself is nice, but gets a bit repetitive. Maybe some music variation for the different locations would have been nice. But that is just a little thing cause you could easily play the game without sound. Overall good Job :)

Necromancy Survivors by Gorr 2024-04-17T21:07:24Z

I'm always down to play this kind of games, so you got me hooked there. Great little spin on the concept. I would have loved to have more stuff to buy and upgrade. Great work.

Summoning altar by stamestratagem 2024-04-17T20:32:54Z

The art style is really nice I like it a lot. I would have never thought of this as a style, but maybe it's a concept to keep in mind for other games, thank you for the idea.

But coming to a part that bothered me, the movement. It didn't feel well due to the handling of inputs, as you could only press on direction at a time and the change also felt a bit clunky. Try to make it a bit smoother for the next time and I think it would add a lot to the games enjoyment.(Also had some performance issues after to many enemies were present at the same time, but that could be a problem on my part.)

Overall nice entry and great work on the art style

The Acolyte's Handbook by ditam 2024-04-16T22:58:24Z

Nifty little game, i liked it. First of all I can completely understand your problems with the recognition, we also tried that, but scrapped it later (still working on it *cough*). As you were asking for the mechanic of the almanac: The looking up stuff can lead to nice game mechanics like your game presented here, but you need to keep the organisation of the book in mind. If there were more entries, the clicking through would be to tedious and probably would become pretty annoying over time. For this little game it's fine, but for more entries I would be frustrated to navigate with the arrows.

The art is simple but fitting and i liked it. Only the Book itself felt a bit lacking in comparison to all the other assets. Some light texturing (like the spot of the summoning) would probably make the book feel less out of place, but its just a minor thing.

Overall I found it enjoyable and actually played two rounds of it, good job.

Abyssal God by KewDev 2024-04-16T21:37:38Z

Nice little game, the last puzzle took me a while (even with the hint), but i managed. I love the moody atmosphere with the burning candle, and the matching art style. And it worked flawless in the web version.

LD55 - Ritual of Cards by Reulan 2024-04-16T22:35:19Z

I like deck builders and this one is obviously on. The idea behind the game is pretty nice, but i would have liked it to give me more choice on building the deck. I'm a bit bummed by being stuck with the 5 choices and only being able to get new ones if i draw from on pile (if i didn't miss a function of the game, if so please tell me), of course this is part of the game itself, but maybe there could be a possibility to reroll with high costs.(this would make it more like a real deck builder for me). But overall good job on that, even if the graphics are pretty basic :)

Fiesta De Las Quimeras! by Jean-Francois 2024-04-17T20:10:54Z

Nice little game. I especially like the art paired with the sound of the "Daemon". It was pretty fun and could become somewhat crowded, if you didn't receive the right combinations in time. But dragging those strollers back to their place had its charm. Great work

Siela by Gnum_ 2024-04-16T23:19:21Z

Nice little game, like others already mentioned some challenging aspect would have been nice to enhance the gameplay a bit. The art and mood are a good, so the lack of gameplay was a bit sad. Still good job on putting this together, maybe the souls could have included some unlock mechanic to do more than just collecting them.

Not the Right Way by DeerofBlue 2024-04-16T23:07:20Z

The web version of the game is not continuing past the tutorial-screen, i can place stuff with the keys, but they are not accepted to continue to the gameplay. Hope you can get this fixed.

Ink Summoner by Custodi 2024-04-17T23:04:17Z

Nice game loved the mechanic for summoning and the art style. I would also say that the start itself is a bit hard to understand. One problem I encountered was that you can get stuck on some of the world pieces holding barriers in place. You than have to turn the world as you are stuck midair so that you can not jump out of the gap.

It's just a minor thing but all in all great job, had fun playing it

Sumoner Dundeon by Atan 2024-04-17T20:49:35Z

Nice game, was pretty fun to play. Also like the variety of different playthroughs. The graphics are simple, but nicely done. Only thing I wished for in the beginning was a textbox for the interaction tooltip, as it can be hard to read depending on the background. Overall great job.

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

a Tiny Working Day by Alexis Roca 2024-10-09T17:00:39Z

As other comments already made clear, it's a great art style (super cute). I was also a bit confused in the beginning with the controls, but that cleared up fast. Great game, and good job.

Interstellar Cargo Maidens by kiririn51 2024-10-09T16:34:43Z

Well done, the game itself plays nicely and is addicting. Tho the start was a bit slow for me to get going, but I couldn't stop playing.

Flea Patrol by Sviborg 2024-10-09T17:23:18Z

Nice game, it felt a little like lemmings because the control was a bit indirect. Nice art and fun gameplay; good job.

Catch The Creatures by Dan_Nik_SG 2024-10-09T16:44:56Z

The main character has a lot of charm; the walking animation looks like a cute waddle. Could be due to the simplicity of the game or just me, but I've noticed that I didn't bother to stealth towards the creatures, due to them running into corners. This is a thing that might need some adjustment for the next time :) Overall the game is nicely done, with nice music and graphics and it is really relaxing, great job.

Catch The Creatures by Dan_Nik_SG 2024-10-09T22:52:11Z

@dan-nik-sg Yeah, we also had a time crunch in the end. ^^ Probs to the artist, well done delivering this as their first work here, and probs to the whole team ofc. Just a short idea: Next time, you could just let the creature go into hiding if you are too obvious, that would prevent the whole corner Problem because the player couldn't chase something hiding. Another option is to let them despawn and respawn after a while.

The Slushiest Slime by RapidDuck 2024-10-08T23:17:10Z

I had a lot of fun catching the slimes. It was a bit sad to make them into slush tho. I have to mention it as the other comments already did one customer at a time left me with a lot of downtime if I didn't already have their desired slush ready. Love the idea and the cute style great job :)

Forest Guardians by Thomas Dougans 2024-10-09T16:54:46Z

Nice game you accomplished to build. Loved the atmosphere and moodiness of the game, with the light sources feeling comforting in the moody setting. Had a small hiccup with the movement of the lights itself, but nothing to bad. Nice entry and good Job.

LD58 — Collector

Keeper of Artifacts by ping78 2025-10-13T19:36:11Z

I really like the menu and the cards. Also, the idea has a lot of potential for further development. I stumbled upon a bug you could easily fix: if I enter full screen, the card becomes unreadable and unclickable. I would guess this happens because I use a wide screen (32:9) and the game can't handle that. So maybe set an aspect ratio for the game so it generates either black bars or scales your scene when it detects such aspect ratios. Good job and keep up the great workwide_screen_example.png

Hex to the Max by Beebo Studios 2025-10-07T17:51:11Z

Very nice and addicting game, like the music and the art. The combining got me hooked longer than planned . One small bug is, that you can lay down a row muliplier, then cancle it with right click and place it somewhere else, but the grpahic of the modifier stays on the hex until you place something else on the tile.

Duck Dealer by LucaVazz 2025-10-07T13:15:13Z

First of all "Quack". I like the art, it gives the game a nice style, and the quack is also very nice (except the first one that was really loud for me ^^ ). Was also suprised how nuch mechanics there were, Great entry for the Jam.

Booster Buster by Revetoon 2025-10-07T17:25:45Z

Neat game. I played it longer than I planned. It plays well and I like the art style and mechanics. The ray took me a while to use properly , but everything else was easy to understand. Good job.

Green Amber by xHadie 2025-10-07T17:00:48Z

Really sweet game, love the mood/atmosphere of the game. The art and music match nicely. Don't know if i was stupid in the begining, but it took me some time to figure out what i had to do ^^. Great entry ^^

Collectore - Ludum Dare 58 by Truedat 2025-10-07T12:38:30Z

Neat entry, game feels pretty polished on the base gameloop. The art and music go well together. Only problem I had was, that I hade to play it in a small window since the full screen didnt scale right on my screen, so the shop was unusable in that mode and a little small in the windowed mode

Collectore - Ludum Dare 58 by Truedat 2025-10-07T23:11:47Z

@truedat so all browsers do the same thing. The problem is that I use an ultrawide, which makes the aspect ratio seem off for me on full screen.

I fixed it with zooming in on the small player, but wanted to let you know to maybe set a fixed aspect ration next time? (Im not familiar with the export options of unity) img_fullscreen_upload.png

Stamp Divers by harujam 2025-10-07T11:16:51Z

The game idear is pretty neat and i like the ease of learning how the game works. In my mind it would have fitted really nice into a point and click adventure as one of the game mechanic for a puzzle. Mabye this is just because of the artstyle, which reminds me a lot of older kind of these games (Sam and Max and stuff like that). Also the soundtrack is solid and everything feels coherent. Nice job ^^

Claim thy Land by ranejeb 2025-10-08T00:39:22Z

Nice game I can only second the other comments on the speed up option. The art and music are very fitting and I like the small tutorial at the beginning, but would have liked a skip option, so that you don't have to replay it on page reload. Also I would have found more interaction between each decree (building) on the map interesting, like the tower and the blacksmith.

Monsters in Jars by T4RAN 2025-10-08T22:59:37Z

The art is really nice liked it a lot and the sound are matching the vibe ^^. The mechanics felt good and I like how you could just extend this into a larger game. Nice foundation and great entry good Job ^^.

Drunkink by voidsrc 2025-10-08T00:04:39Z

Nice game, I like the artstyle and the execution of the mechanics, especially that the improvements are noticeable, but not too strong. Also, it's great that you could fix the bug so fast. Overall, a nice job!

Mushroom Collector by Jinda 2025-10-07T12:01:54Z

Cute game and graphics ^^ the artstyle is really nice and i like the teaching aspect about mushrooms. I don't know if it is intended, but on making the stew the game just stops for me when i want to press z to continue.

LD59 — Signal

Signal Drift by kpded 2026-04-22T23:43:55Z

Nice game, the signals can be a bit tricky at times, but my brain managed to work for once ^^ only critic i have is that the buttons for the position sometimes are confusing or even overlapping each other, which was a bit frustrating at times. Other than that great job

Sound the Horns by kr4ft3r 2026-04-22T23:38:21Z

Good job, and nice entry. As ppl pointed out, could need some polishing. But who really has time for something like that  really nicely done gj ^^

First Contact by benskca 2026-04-22T22:17:29Z

nice game, in the beginning I was very confused on how, and what to do, but after a while it clicked. short question on the drawing part: is the up and down arrow the default resolve? Got that so often instead of what I thought I've drawn. Or am I just bad at arts and should stay in my programming corner? xD

First Contact by benskca 2026-04-22T23:26:49Z

@benskca Thanks still guess its a combination of sensitivity and my lack of drawing skill. Good job on the implementation of that in the timeframe ^^

UPLiNK Defender by Logic Monkey 2026-04-22T16:08:21Z

Fun game, graphics and sound design is nicely done. I had the same Problem with that I could not win (maybe im just bad ?) But over all nice entry to the Jam ^^

SIGNALITE by Gat 2026-04-22T23:23:52Z

Cool game really enjoyed the game and find a it a neat entry to the jam ^^ well done. only thing I coudl critizise really is that I had some performance issues on the level with a lot of orbits which persistet even after completing that level. But still this is a minor inconveniance good job

Signal Breaker by Senso 2026-04-24T19:54:05Z

Really enjoyed playing felt nice, and i get the mouse recommended xD took a bit to understand what to do best, but after that i had quiet a bit of fun and maybe played to long Gj and great entry

Smoke Show by Crygos 2026-04-22T16:42:33Z

@tosmaster Hi, Thanks for the comment and code  Could it perhaps be that you missed a character at the end of the code ?

This is a working code. (A added for it to work again) >AQAAAAAAAAAEDQYGAAAAACAoAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAIDAwMDg4ACAAIiEhACAQEAAAPz4PwAAAAwSEgwAHgAhKg43MDg4BwcHBwcHMDg4Pz8cHhwMNz8cDBIeA

Smoke Show by Crygos 2026-04-27T10:37:37Z

@aurel300 Yeah, we had a 100 BPM track in the pipeline, but as it always happens, there was too much else to do to add the track in time. (We don't want to add it after the fact since the jam time is over. (Might add it after the voting is done.))

Same goes for the visual clutter a bit more time to polish this up would have been nice. Thanks for playing and for the feedback

Behind the Noise by Kabbi 2026-04-24T19:42:55Z

Gj on the enrty like your choice in music ^^ One point i found a bit wierd was moving an loking aaround a corner sometimes glitched me to the side a bit.

Gas & Fly by Gurtek 2026-04-25T20:21:03Z

As mentioned above i also got the same bug, first I thought it was one plane that just took of but then more and more paths stayed on the runway, that was a bit confusing. Also I think i didn't get any yellow and blue planes at all, did i just not play long enough or was there an error ? Other than that great job and even better that you want to finish it. If you do, ping me if you like ^^

Radio Nation by pro4 2026-04-22T11:25:53Z

Nice spin on the theme and great little entry, I would have loved some more interaction or difficulties in the gameplay since I felt like I could do whatever and still get new buildings to continue.

Signals Crossed by Big Nose 2026-04-23T19:34:41Z

nice idea and i hope you can fix the issues that are coming from hosting it on LD. I can add one more thing that is a bit weird you can open the console with spacebar in my gameinstance on LD, but cant close it xD. The other version works fine on my end so gj on that one ^^

Meerkat Maniac by Mamboman 2026-04-21T21:34:20Z

Nicely done, like the predators popping up close would love to pet them.

I don't know if it is just my skills, but i had a feeling the hitbox on the birds was a bit off. But nice entry ^^ and really nice art.

FOREIGN FREQUENCY by dvan1337 2026-04-22T16:01:18Z

Nice mood on with the sound and the Graphics fitting really well to the game. Neat little decoder. One thing to look out for next time is defining a fixed aspect ratio on the game since my fullscreen was stretched so I had to play it in the smaller variant where it was harder to read. But overall good job. ^^

Zap the Dead by Stepanoff 2026-04-21T21:48:17Z

Great game, also had the issue with ta and down, but managed by disabeling it for the game ^^ Nice entry and cool idea :)

MHz 1420 by Xavier Marshall 2026-04-24T23:01:59Z

I would have liked to play the game, but as the comment above me already stated I wasn't able to play. I made it to the gameplay where I could move the shield around, but then nothing happend. For bug hunting I got a consistent error, which poped up in the developer console in the left corner

>[309] Failed to parse cmd: angle

I tried it on Windows in Chrome, Firefox and even Edge, MacOs Chrome, Firefox and Safari and Linux firefox all got the same error message.

I hope you can finde the bug, so I can test the game.

DOT & DASH by Kenoshka 2026-04-21T21:42:17Z

Nice idea and great effort. The last level is really hard tho. Great entry ^^
