LD54 — Limited Space

LIGHTDANCER by xk_the_name 2023-10-03T20:57:55Z

I think this game concept would be incredibly fun to speedrun. Lots of chance for skill shots, optimizing paths through the darkness while minimizing the need to light trees on fire, etc. Really loved this game and the end game boss encounter was quite fun.

Ricoshot by Jazzer008 2023-10-03T20:23:41Z

Nice! Super fun. Originally I played the version uploaded on ld and was frustrated I couldn't get all three stars on the last level. The left room just seemed impossible. Then I saw you had uploaded some fixes to the itch version and I was able to get all three stars on the last level. Nice job!

Tiny Island by ghpxi 2023-10-09T18:59:04Z

This was pretty fun to play! I wish there was some harder difficulty levels as it felt a little too easy to me to win on the first play through, but that is just a matter of tuning more I think. Definitely can see lots of ways you could expand this into a game that would be very popular if released. Great work!

(Un)limited Space by MateusGauto 2023-10-03T00:47:08Z

Wow, what a cool game! I did run into some issues with the UI where it would click through to things behind it, but once I navigated around those issues, this was a pretty neat little room puzzle. Kinda brought me back to the days of Myst/Riven. Great game and fun atmosphere!

**spoilers** The last page with the blanked out letters. Were those blanked out letters supposed to be used for something? I ended up just writing down all combinations of letters on the final lock and was able to figure out the password to beat the game without the letter.

Keyslinger by OrdiNeu 2023-10-03T05:41:42Z

I'm really glad you added the directional arrows you need to get yourself unstuck in the corners of the map. That really saved me big time since I hadn't loaded those into my inventory.

Denpo by Strato 2023-10-03T19:14:25Z

Best I could do was 1773, but it was super fun playing this! I think this would be great to ship as is to mobile and people will eat this up! Fantastic job.

Denpo by Strato 2023-10-07T00:03:07Z

denpo.png

Finally got a super lucky run with a score of 2786. again, great job on this one. very fun

Flicker of Lumina by Nash 2023-10-03T20:44:35Z

Wow Super addictive. I played it multiple times, but only ever managed to get down to the last minute with three fireflies being kicked around. Love this game, exactly the style of game I enjoy!

Squeeze & Wiggle by YogurtTheHorse 2023-10-03T01:06:46Z

This game was super fun and I'm proud to say I was able to beat it with a time of 9:22. I saw some of the other times were like half mine! The small narrative intro and outro were also a nice little extra cherry on top to this overall really great game. Good job on this!

Low Memory Rush by Magnanix 2023-10-03T05:37:10Z

Wow!! I'm super impressed you were able to churn this out in 72 hours. I played a round on each level and had a lot of fun blasting away at the bots. I think my highest end score was 30ish. I agree with the others about battle royale matching the theme. Great match for this jam's theme!

Parking Garage Rally by walaber 2023-10-03T05:59:56Z

So much fun! I played a couple of rounds with a best 3 lap time of 2:48. My racing style is to always floor the gas and drift every possible turn... with only mediocre success rates lol. I wouldn't want to leave my car parked in this garage haha. Fantastic game and I am super impressed with what you were able to create in this short jam!

Crow Keeper by Matthew Bond 2023-10-03T00:28:50Z

Wow, the ghosts with the ranged attacks are no joke! I thought I was doing pretty good and then they absolutely destroyed me lol. I'm curious what the correct strategy is to handle them. Hiding behind your shrines?

I had a lot of fun playing this game tho! Fun little game loop, just needs some difficulty adjusting or maybe I need to get better haha.

Homeward by Wuppos 2023-10-13T16:45:21Z

This was really a lot of fun to play. Brought me back to the old school choose your adventures games of the 90s, but with the fun inventory packing twist. Great execution and replay value!

Project Pioneer Recovery by ZiggyS 2023-10-03T00:16:27Z

I really like your idea of managing your UI interface in the limited grid space you have. Very unique idea! It certainly added a surprising amount of pressure as you try to swap in and out UI elements, while also trying to be able to keep some visibility in the game itself to avoid the meteors. The overall atmosphere with the music and sfx were really a nice touch too. Well done!

Switch Space Limited by EPA 2023-10-03T05:15:08Z

I really enjoyed the switching between 2D and 3D for this platformer. My only complaint was that the third? level had two many sections back to back where the safe zone between spike stripes was only one tile wide (the width of the character). I kept narrowly touching the spike stripes as I jumped over them in 2D. The core mechanic of swapping between view modes was really clever and I could definitely play a more fleshed out version of this. Nice work!

CORNERED by MarkAis 2023-10-04T21:41:04Z

Really enjoyed playing through these puzzles. I think there is a pretty good build up of difficulty, with the final puzzle reach a fitting pinnacle of complexity. Great job constructing these puzzles and making the rat smart enough to avoid obvious situations it could lose.

Ark of the Dogbear by doubley 2023-10-03T05:29:31Z

I know you marked this as an unfinished game, but I thought the fishing mini game was fairly well done. The movement of the fish and the speed of your fishing marker trying to catch it seemed fairly well tuned to me. Very similar feel to that of Stardew valley and other games that have it. Well done!

Iceolation by CaptainPMM 2023-10-03T20:11:54Z

I really loved the stacking sunglasses haha. Maximum cool for the penguin.

Circular Nest by ShidyGames 2023-10-03T21:07:15Z

Turn speed is definitely really important once you get to the very end. I was able to get to the white circle color where basically enemies spawned in front of my cannon and i tried to spin as fast as possible. I think if I had one more rotation speed upgrade I couldve gotten a little bit further (is there another tighter circle after the white one?) Fun game and I really liked the sound effects!

LD57 — Depths

Hollowspire by simex 2025-04-09T23:35:48Z

This was really fun. I liked the slow change in music as you descended until it become a bit disturbing at the end lol. Really cool game and loved the execution of the little guys/their upgrades.

Dwarvenshaft by MateusBoga 2025-04-08T22:51:36Z

Fun! It started out a little slow with my single guy, but once I got several guys going, and especially when they were upgraded with drills, things started going really fast! So fast I literally mined out the whole map lol, nothing was left.

Loved the pixel art, the chanting song in the background, and the little dudes running around on auto mining as fast as they could with drills.

One small feedback I'd have is it would be nice to be able to scroll faster around the map. I know you could click on their portrait in the market screen to jump to a spot, but I also wanted to just pan around and watch the mayhem.

Nice work, really enjoyed this.

Diggin' Deeper by gquibao 2025-04-08T19:55:41Z

Ah dang, I got down 32 levels and didn't realize that 40 was going to be the end! Pretty fun and I liked the slow ramp of difficulty as you moved faster and faster with depth. Really liked the dwarf sprite and his tools/jetpack.

Nice work!

Descent Protocol by fingolfin 2025-04-08T17:53:42Z

Took me a little bit to get oriented and understand what I was doing, but once I got the hang of it, it was a pretty fun! I liked the little minigames and the music was really jamming. I did have some difficulty with the radar and I'm not sure what I was doing wrong there. I was just stopping the drill whenever I saw a visible change in texture on the sides.

Cool game!

Minion No. 1067809362 by ZuhairGhias 2025-04-08T20:07:06Z

Fun little puzzle platformer. Liked the humor in some of the sections like the personality test lol. After beating the game, I actually restarted to try level 1 again and see if there was anything was hidden, but didn't find anything! argh lol

Nice work!

Root & Rope by Alexascher 2025-04-08T19:06:23Z

Loved the graphical style and the control of the gnome + rope. My favorite level was 7. Not a big fan of the super tight swing jump on level 8. Wasn't able to beat that one :(

Overall, cool game and fun to play.

Bungee Spelunker by EvilScotsman 2025-04-09T22:43:27Z

Really liked the graphical style and simplicity of the game flow. I did pretty good on the way down, but on the way back up, it was quite difficult to see the ore as it was obscured by the cave walls. I still was able to get 9 on the way up, but I think it would've been nice if there was some kind of indicator to help me know where i should start shifting towards as it was difficult to move by the time I could see them.

Nice work!

The Scourge from the Deep by Wuppos 2025-04-08T20:29:40Z

Fun little boss fight. Was able to beat it in 1min 15seconds after a few deaths against him. Tip for others, but there are health stored in the barrels! That helped a lot.

Nice work!

Goblin Quest by rickylee 2025-04-08T19:22:25Z

I liked the slayer the spire choose your path down the depths. I started out with the mischief goblin and got my second zap goblin. Shortly after that poor mischief goblin died and it was all down hill from there as the scaling of multiple enemies quickly overcame my one remaining guy. I think if I had maybe slightly better optimized my item usage I couldve gotten a little bit further, but felt pretty tough!

Game feel was good. Fun mechanics and item usage. Loved the music in the background of battles, really set the mood just right haha.

The Altermind Project by MatthewDrake 2025-04-09T22:39:37Z

Pretty interesting experience and I got a good chuckle out of the ending. I think we might be safe for a little bit longer from my alter ego.

Cool idea and nice execution!

The Adventures of Wormington by Logan_Core 2025-04-08T18:33:41Z

Wow, this was really fun and didn't realize how much time passed until I beat the game and it said 19 minutes lol. Really fun trying to collect as much as possible and get super long. I was hoping to get the last upgrade for 999 when I returned with the key, but that got the game complete screen so I'm not sure what that final upgrade was! Argh...

Really had a blast with this game. Nice work.

DORFS by pro4 2025-04-15T21:58:09Z

@xpoho No, I didn't have enough time to make any official end to it. It should just keep looping levels generated as you go deeper and deeper.

Lifted by andriybyelikov 2025-04-08T18:03:50Z

Nice, I got the good ending first try! Cool little narrative story concept. Would've been cool to go inside the buildings/doors that you walk past and have some more characters to interact with to further push the question of whether you should advocate leaving the depths or not.

Mariana's Secret by Tirtstan 2025-04-08T18:55:09Z

I got down to the orange area with the giant kraken squid thing, but couldn't figure out where to go from there. Was there more or did I reach the end? Also, did the shooting gun thing do something or was that a feature that was cut due to time?

Cool little game though! I really enjoyed the artwork and exploring the maze to find the next way down.

Onkalo by Chronicpain 2025-04-08T19:39:36Z

I was able to get to an ending (bad end?), but not sure if there were multiple endings. I played through a second time going a different route to see if there was something different, but I got the same ending again.

Really liked the mysterious story and beautiful artwork! Definitely pulled me in a lot and I was very curious about the world and area you were exploring.

Meanepth by rensun 2025-04-08T17:40:44Z

Wow, really amazing work yall did here. I really got into the atmosphere and storytelling that yall were selling here. I'm pretty amazed at the amount of 3d graphics work done here too! Tons of assets and really compelling environment.

/spoiler One small feedback I'd have is that during the first really intense section with FX red/shaking, it was difficult to find the object I was looking for. I had actually tried to click it earlier, but I guess I wasn't looking dead on at it. Giving a little bit more leeway during that segment might be helpful to players.

Really nice work!

Ruby Hole by Aleksey4adoff 2025-04-09T22:28:44Z

Super fun! I liked the different tile types to work with and the objectives appearing further down to add back to your tile stack. First try I got to 78 rubies, which felt pretty good! The mushroom caves in particular felt good when you closed them off.

Nice work!

Orb of the deep? by is.a.hatbox 2025-04-08T18:42:08Z

This was insanely difficult. I was able to get about 6 skeletons deep before it was just too difficult for me and then having to restart all over was too much for me to handle lol.

Main feedback would've been trying to slowly ramp up difficulty so the player learns certain patterns like wall sliding, or distracting with jumps, or assassinating while on wall slide. Cool concept!

fooDMancer by 314isme 2025-04-08T21:32:45Z

It took me a bit of trial and error, but once I was able to fill out my recipe book I was able to start more reliably fulfilling orders and feeding the minions. Mechanically I liked that you could combine two of the same to basically eliminate them and keep drawing from the deck. Also making two ingredients per type allows you to handle some bad randomness with input ingredients.

One small feedback would be to make the upper right task and recipe book a little bit more prominent somehow. I didn't notice them at first and they are very critical to actually beating the game!

Nice work! (pixel art was fantastic btw)

Cavedude by field-of-king 2025-04-08T21:56:11Z

Holy smokes this was difficult lol. After many trials and tribulations, I was able to get to the third level, but by that time I was just too beat down to continue any further lol. I watched the youtube video of your playthrough and the levels afterward looked insane! Dev is definitely a kaizo enjoyer lol.

One small feedback point, but it would be nice if there was a coyote jump timer to give a small amount of leeway when you run off a ledge. Maybe there was one, but it felt like it was very very short. (very noticeable when you dont have your second jump and you are on an inert platform).

Really cool work and I loved the character sprite and overall responsiveness of the movement.

HellDigger – A Cozy Idle Game by sangheli 2025-04-08T22:38:40Z

Was able to beat the final level and drill to the core of the earth lol. One small request is that it would be nice to have an "add all" type of button because i had like 15000 drill machines and 18000 demon bosses i could've added, but didnt want to press the +100 that many times.

Oh, also it would've been nice if I could reroll the shop or refresh the shop to buy even more items. I was so flush with cash, I just bought everything and I still couldnt spend it all fast enough by the later levels.

Fun game!

Adam, Rejected by MashedPotato 2025-04-08T16:57:13Z

Nice work on the voice acting through the game. I liked that there were little snippets throughout that narrated more of your journey as you made progress back up.

I would've liked to see a few more mechanics or upgrades, but given the short context of the jam, and the huge amount of narrative work done, I enjoyed the concept and exploring all the way to the end. One small feedback when you beat the game and it fades to black, it would've been nice to flash some end credits/game ended type text as I was waiting to see if it was going to fade back and another segment was going to start.

D.M.C : Dwarves Mine Caves by lepol 2025-04-08T17:10:07Z

I was a little confused at first when I lost my first play through and only after realized the timer on the ship is what I needed to return within that limit. I know there is an upgrade to show the timer when you are at depth, but I think that should have been enabled from the start as it is a pretty critical element for the game.

The digging and gold collection felt pretty good. Especially once you got better pickaxe upgrades. The running on wall upgrade was a little awkward for me to use, but I think it could be very powerful if you dig straight down shafts. I ultimately ended up losing because I thought the wall run was going to be able to get me back to the surface a lot more quickly than it actually did :(

I would've liked to see more combat. I only ran into the bats at the surface and didn't see anything further down, but maybe I wasn't able to get far enough.

Nice work!

Debts in the Depths by Reaktori 2025-04-08T23:13:28Z

Really fun! Was able to beat the first boss, but then got absolutely stomped when I got to level 24 with the double boss battle. That was insane!

depth_score.png

Beautiful pixel art, lots of great juice like busting through the walls on level transition and very fun core mechanic. Great work!

LD58 — Collector

Photo Tamer by MestreRothLD 2025-10-07T17:04:49Z

Really great artstyle and fun nostalgic callback to Pokemon Snap. I was able to pull a score in the 1700s, but I'm super impressed with people that got up in the 2000s!

Fantastic execution and polish.

Broke Custodian: From Dust Till Display by outstar 2025-10-07T19:58:38Z

Really great pixel art and a fun museum management workflow bouncing back and forth between the museum and digging. The game was so tough tho! I feel like there was something I was doing wrong because I always lost after 20-25ish days.

Very nice execution on the game concept and really well suited for the Collector theme.

deck of doom by 0x0961h 2025-10-07T05:30:03Z

Interesting concept! I had a little difficulty forming hands. Best I could pull off was two pair for a speed boost. What did the other hand types do (ie, straight, full house, etc?).

Game feel was pretty nice. I was able to get a score of 6016.

Clam Jam by Fis 2025-10-07T17:20:41Z

I was able to get to a score of 10390, but the elite guard of crabs to the south finally defeated me. They were too good at chasing haha. Nice artwork and solid game loop.

Fun game!

Human Collector by The1 2025-10-07T20:01:34Z

My best score was 575. Really fun and I liked the boxes to refill your beam energy so if you pathed well you could really suck up a lot of people.

Very fun!

Abyss Adrift by tetrapteryx 2025-10-07T05:33:38Z

Really liked the art off the fisherman/boat and the background! Nice aesthetic for sure. I was able to clear day 1 easily, but difficulty skyrocketed for me on day 2 and I got eaten by a mutant fish hah. It seemed like day 2 was infinitely deep and my line couldn't reach anything further down? Maybe there was some user error there on my part.

Nice work!

Excavation Sierra by parkuhrmd 2025-10-07T20:51:21Z

Really great art and vibe for the game. I was able to dig up the whole skeleton for 12700. Definitely damaged bones a bit, but overall it looked not too bad haha. Curious what the theoretical max score could be?

Thanks for the fun game.

Biblio-Worm by MadR 2025-10-07T16:38:06Z

Fun little game! Nice artwork and controls. My total time was 1:35:49. The last stage was a little tough, but was able to get past it!

The Tiny King Who Had A HUGE Desire For Gold by dagon 2025-10-07T20:12:22Z

Great tower defense implementation with pretty good balancing for the tight constraints of a jam. I was able to get pretty decently deep into the game until I got overwhelmed. I think if I invested more accurately in the gold mines I mightve been able to get farther.

Really nice work!

N64 Game Collector ! by Magalix 2025-10-07T16:52:29Z

Wow, what a blast from the past haha. I have a pretty decent N64 cartridge collection myself so it was fun to see that as a game. I did struggle to play the market correctly in the game, much like the real stock market. I wasn't able to complete my collection as a result.

Cool idea!

Cluster Claw by Jawdan 2025-10-07T21:09:00Z

Fun! My ship was absolutely insane looking by the time i got to the end and got the crown. Just weapons attached off into the craziest looking configuration.

Nice work!

Loot Goblin by Ydindamin 2025-10-07T05:55:39Z

Fun little game! I had a little bit of difficulty picking up coins at times, but I was able to collect everything and throw it down into the pit. The enemy AI was pretty decent for a jam game, they seemed to patrol around and have a decent spot/follow mechanic to them.

Nice work!

Nebula FM by Chariot 2025-10-07T16:33:01Z

Really nice artwork. The placement system seemed to work pretty well and its unfortunate yall didnt have time to finish the conveyorbelt.

Crown Crow by ThDudk 2025-10-07T16:10:32Z

Enjoyed the gameplay loop and nice artwork. After getting a few upgrades I tried to go as far as I could, but wow, the humans later on are like elite snipers with ultra fast rocks lol!

Nice work!

Fire Fuel by marks 2025-10-07T05:38:17Z

Love the retro aesthetic and work you did with the art. Really nice. Controls were tight and easy to platform with. I was able to reach the end after blasting a bunch of people with my fireballs. The idea of managing your heat level was pretty interesting to play with as you were moving around the levels.

Good job!

Shadow Collector by wsmyyzcry 2025-10-07T16:26:13Z

I had trouble getting the ldjam hosted game to work, but the Itch.io version worked perfectly if anyone else is trying to play the game.

I had a little bit of difficulty with platforming while using my "e" ability as the platforms felt a little bit slippery to me. I was able to get to the second control platform area with the enemies, but I wasn't able to get up to the next section with my "e" shadow platform. Was there something I missed?

Nice work!

In the Debt of the Night by Longfall 2025-10-07T16:45:26Z

After a couple of attempts I was able to win! Definitely need to pay very close attention to the silhouette of the shapes to make sure you steal the correct item. Loved the art, the pressure of the detection, and some false leads/interactions in the world.

Really great job!

Meticulous collector by The default team 2025-10-07T05:22:34Z

Nicely designed puzzle game! The dash and magnet powers played well together in figuring out how to properly collect everything in a stage within the move limit.

/spoiler One thing that stumped me for a while was that I thought I had to collect all of the power ups as well, but some stages they are traps and the solution didn't involve them!

I had fun with this. Nice work!

LD59 — Signal

Twilight Beacon by graebor 2026-04-22T05:32:36Z

This is really an amazing entry. Very simple concept, but executed brilliantly in every way. Easily my favorite game of the jam so far. Keep up the great work.

Bons Baisers de Roquebrise by Kerdelos 2026-04-23T04:45:31Z

Really wonderful art aesthetic and I enjoyed the story/humor in the storyline. Nicely done!

nervous climb by daniel 2026-04-21T05:14:25Z

Love the cute little intro animation and character. I got pretty far up, after unlocking double jump and dash, but then fell far enough that I rage quit lol. I was hoping to run into someone else for the multiplayer functionality (which I totally love and glad that you had the 'e' to wave command).

Nice work!

A Signal In The Forest by gamesplusjames 2026-04-22T03:22:32Z

Pretty fun concept of following the signal around to navigate what felt like an infinite forest. It took me a moment to realize the signal strength indicate on the right side of the radio, but once I figured it out i was able to quickly zip around and solve the puzzles. Nice job!

SigNull by acronaut 2026-04-22T03:24:24Z

Hope you keep working on this. I too was lured in by the screenshots. Very appealing looking!

Pied Piper TD by Onizik 2026-04-23T05:00:35Z

Really fun. I liked the pied piper twist on the classic tower defense style. Definitely felt fresh and new for me. Was able to play all the way through to the end and win :)

Resonance: Pulse of the Deep by Meemog 2026-04-22T03:05:42Z

I was able to finally get to the end! Cute little character and game. I appreciated the checkpoints when I died so it was easy to keep exploring.

Pub Protocol Panic by Tomas Poblete 2026-04-22T05:38:08Z

Beat it on my second try! I liked the three different minigames that you had to keep juggling so the bar would keep bouncing. Fun little game!

Seagnal by Pikario 2026-04-22T03:47:19Z

Wow, what an ending. The radio station was definitely the highlight for me. 100% amazing humor and I shared this with a few of my friends. Really well done!

Beep Beep Until You're Rich! by dagon 2026-04-22T04:37:59Z

Really great progression. Loved the feeling of getting the incremental upgrades. Especially the dig radius felt so good after doing all of the digging at lower power levels. Pixel art looked great too!

Mycelium Menace by Logan_Core 2026-04-22T05:14:19Z

The SFX of these little mushroom dudes stole my heart. Cute little game

MONITORS by hotdog 2026-04-22T03:34:13Z

Man, that gets crazy difficult as more and more TV dudes are running around. Fun little game concept though! Loved the TV heads.

Trash Friends by Axodo 2026-04-22T03:53:06Z

Cute little game. I really liked the transition screen artwork that introduced new concepts!

Phase Signal by goodwayman 2026-04-23T05:07:47Z

Really fun puzzles! I enjoyed the last level with the recording and timing of things. Nice work piecing together this game!

LD: Lighthouse Defence by Melomaner 2026-04-22T04:19:40Z

Fun little game! I was able to get all the way to the end and extracted safely! Love the voxel style graphics.

I invested heavily in the money towers early and it made late game feel super easy. I had a ton of maxed out towers and lvl 30 something player damage so I was able to absolutely destroy the enemies lol.

Signal by Trav 2026-04-22T05:24:13Z

Quiet difficult. I think it would've helped in the earlier stages if we had a little bit more time to prepare and then slowly make it faster as you get deeper into the other levels. I could barely beat level one!

Full Steam Ahead by Abbro 2026-04-22T04:01:33Z

Really quite difficult. It took me a couple of retries on the game before I could even get one point! I started to get the hang of it, but still could barely get more than a couple of points before having to restart again.

I think if I had more time to react early on and then slowly make things faster it would be easier for players to acclimate to the game.

Signal Through the Blizzard by anku 2026-04-22T06:03:23Z

You did a great job of capturing the mood and environment. I wish I had a little bit more time to more leisurely walk through so I could read the story a little more closely, but it was still a fun experience to get through to the end. Great work!

Stop Martial Law by Seunghyun 2026-04-22T04:26:00Z

Lol, nice job!
