LD28 — You Only Get One

Beep Boop. Where will it go? by PapyPilgrim 2013-12-20T05:14:00

nice work. simple concept but cleanly executed.

You can become only one!!1 by multikorv 2013-12-20T05:20:00

really clever concept! I would love to see this expanded more!

LD33 — You are the Monster

Exogorth by Will Edwards 2015-08-25T21:15:00

interesting control scheme... a bit hard to get used to. nice technical implementation though!

Ectoplasm Isn't Everything by IonProgramming 2015-08-27T06:01:00

nice job! fun how the different animal "quests" all sequence together. i ended up falling off the edge of the world before I could finish though :(

Ludzilla by highlyinteractive 2015-08-27T06:29:00

welp, the destruction is just wonderful :)

Earth Was a Bad Choice by zatyka 2015-08-27T13:55:00

Awesome job! The ending is really fun and funny, and bouncing between the planes, tanks, bullets, and bombs is a really fun time!

On Monsters by richy486 2015-08-25T02:54:00

from pico-8 forums:
nice job. would be easier to understand if the people had a frame of animation showing them hold up a camera. also something to mix up the game midway through would make it even more fun.

Unfinished Piece by madlee 2015-08-26T04:38:00

a little difficult to understand the movement mechanics and how they work, perhaps a few more levels that 'ease' you into how it works would help. glad you were able to pull together a submission though!

Klonos by Azlen 2015-08-24T16:43:00

very nice atmosphere! graphics really set the mood.

Goomba Simulator 2015 by LandoSystems 2015-08-25T03:02:00

really creative, fun storytelling through simple platforming :)

Pinky The Monster by whiskeyedraccoon 2015-08-24T06:46:00

really fun! nice job :) The monster is super cute.

Calcusaurus by CorgiCommander 2015-08-25T18:52:00

fun game, I love math games :)
it's really overwhelming though (although oddly not too difficult since it takes a lot of hits to die and the "panic" button doesn't seem limited in any way).

would have been cool to have health pickups that are subtraction or multiplication problems to add some variety.

The Loved Ones by Stending 2015-08-29T19:47:00

really clever idea, and making the player do the main action makes this much stronger than just a liner narrative. great job!

Monsters always finish last by Reyn 2015-08-25T21:10:00

nice work! the camera angle is a bit awkward w/ the cursor keys, but the way you walk around, interact, and especially the visibility code to let you see inside buildings is really nice!

BECOME by JustinJ 2015-08-26T04:12:00

really nice! I got stuck attempting to platform around as the snail and ran out of will to continue :P

really clever idea and great work given the short time-frame!

No Credit, No Problem! by Razoric 2015-09-01T05:59:00

nice entry, I'm a sucker for Papers, Please style gameplay. this was a nice snack-sized version :)

mail-monster by gustav 2015-08-26T03:45:00

what a great entry, one of my favorites I've played! the graphics and main character are super charming, the little city simulation is amazing as well. great job!

CEO Sim 2015 by lkpridgeon 2015-08-26T22:38:00

nice start! hopefully you can finish it up after the competition ends.

underworld siege by Benjamin 2015-08-26T04:25:00

super job! very hard at first, but slowly you realize all the different strategies you can employ. makes me want to play a few (hundred) more times and really get good at it. really great job!

Moonlight by amy742 2015-08-25T05:32:00

really fun, great feel to the pacing and energy!

Adula by conormn 2015-08-24T06:51:00

really cool look and setting/atmosphere! wish there was more to it!

Office Hours by valid4life 2015-08-25T05:49:00

OS/X build wouldn't work for me. downloaded and un-rar'ed, tried to run the .app, "Office Hours.app couldn't be opened". this is on OS/X 10.10.5

Hungry Monster by tGiant 2015-08-25T18:26:00

nice work, appealing graphics.

The Ancient Immortal by Vinyl Pixels 2015-08-25T17:29:00

(from pico-8 forums)
really fun, an impressive UI and implementation. performance got so bad it made it nearly impossible to play as things got hectic... please finish it though, it's really cool!

Monsterhythm by danialias 2015-08-24T16:55:00

super hard but fun game!

Scare to Safety by Viza 2015-08-24T22:29:00

nice work! fun idea and your levels demonstrate the concept well. the undo feature is a nice touch to make the game less frustrating :)

Scary Scary by psydack 2015-08-27T05:53:00

can't seem to get it to run on OX/S 10.10.5 Safari:

"An error occured running the Unity content on this page. See your browser's JavaScript console for more info. The error was:
NotFoundError: DOM IDBDatabase Exception 8: An operation failed because the requested database object could not be found."

This is NOT a scam! by Reccy 2015-08-25T05:26:00

aw man, Windows only? I guess I won't be stealing any credit cards tonight :(

Prince Charming! by kozun 2015-08-25T21:28:00

fun idea! the store is a cool touch, although it didn't seem like the items really related to increased 'damage' / score.

Car of Monster by Alsatian Studio 2015-08-25T06:28:00

unfortunately the OS/X version won't run for me. just says "main.app cannot be run". I'm on OS 10.10.5.

YUIO by rzfmzn 2015-08-24T03:54:00

nice work, nice to see designers making games by themselves :)

Investigator and the Case of the Red Herring by constancecchen 2015-08-29T20:02:00

really fun, nice job. good writing and a fun twist at the end :)

AM I? by DruhinM 2015-08-25T05:42:00

simple game with a good message :)

Sobaken by A_K_ 2015-08-25T05:53:00

nice job! captures the mood very well.

Daylight Blobbery by Mark Smith 2015-08-25T05:26:00

pretty fun, nice job. a bit tedious at first, but gets more fun as you grow larger.

-=SPACE RAM=- by nicksantan 2015-08-25T06:06:00

ran fine on OS/X for me. a bit difficult to control.

Mutant Snakopede by TLansdale 2015-08-23T22:15:00

this is really fun! nice idea and great execution. the story is a nice touch!

Nailed by OutlawGameTools 2015-08-24T03:37:00

simple and fun!

You Can't Touch the Devil Game by DragonGino 2015-08-25T18:30:00

OS/X build doesn't work for me, it says "the app cannot be opened". I'm on OS/X 10.10.5.

Greetings, Human by boardtobits 2015-08-24T03:32:00

Really cool idea! The mood is great, and overall it puts you in a stressed-out frame of mind as the clock ticks down.

great work!

Monster by ajkolenc 2015-08-24T06:43:00

pretty disturbing to play.

Delicious Ships! by BaseCase 2015-08-26T04:35:00

great progression of discovery to the different mechanics, and the puzzle design (and sequencing) is spot-on! left me wanting more!

Madboss by HappyHour 2015-08-27T06:07:00

really fun (and funny)! i like combo-ing workers into each other :)

Pusher by mikelovesrobots3 2015-08-24T07:07:00

wonderful :)

Monster Tinder by Monkokio 2015-08-25T05:59:00

funny!

Monstre de Coiffure by Patacorow 2015-08-25T05:20:00

absolutely fantastic! each element is really fun, lots of cool interactions, and the overall charm is through the roof :)

We Missed You! by RHY3756547 2015-08-25T02:50:00

pretty awesome! pretty big stretch regarding the theme, but the game is charming, fun, and gorgeous!

Heroic Journey (LD33) by dethe 2015-08-24T17:01:00

nice work, the text commentary is the best part :)

KITTEN KILLER! by Cryptix 2015-08-24T03:47:00

nice work could use with some kind of risk or something to give it a bit more depth to encourage you to try a few times.

Motherflipin' T-Rex! by mantis 2015-08-25T06:25:00

fun! really nice feel to the smashing :)

LD34 — Two Button Controls / Growing

Milgram by Kortuga 2015-12-15T06:28:00

nice work! cool to see voice acting (and it's pretty good too!). Multiple endings make it fun to play through a few times trying different things.

99 Steps by George 2015-12-14T02:03:00

nice job! this feels like it could make a fun mobile game.

Bonsai Growth Simulator by cjacobwade 2015-12-14T05:56:00

nice job! indeed relaxing... although perhaps so relaxing I had a hard time understanding what my input was actually doing :P

Ludum Party! by FuzzyWuzzie 2015-12-14T22:08:00

Nice job! Impresive that you got some AI in there in such a short time :)

Dynamica by CivvyThePandaTM 2015-12-14T21:21:00

nice idea. since it requires moving objects very small amounts to tweak your solution, it would be nice if the object's didn't "snap" to the center of the mouse, but instead stayed fixed relative to where you click.

BallBall Babbaballoo! by Spencer Alves 2015-12-14T06:10:00

nice job! the obstacles are well designed- would probably be more fun with a dedicated speed button, but you did a nice job of working it into the theme.

F-L-O-I-D by dmecke 2015-12-14T22:14:00

Nice job. I like you add new elements in each level.

Legacy of Flower by qbicfeet 2015-12-15T04:43:00

great job, very interesting control scheme with the limitation of only 2 inputs. fun theme and overall execution.

Toolip! by davekalina 2015-12-15T06:08:00

nice! took a bit to get the hang of the goal of the game and the patterns.

Simultaneism by Bogden 2015-12-17T05:28:00

loved the twist, this is one of the reasons I like Ludum Dare- games that seem to be 1 thing and then surprise you as you play them. nice work!

Floppy Frog by walaber 2015-12-14T01:58:00

yeah, the monkey bars are pretty much troll central!
the speed of flopping ramps as you hold the buttons, so if you want a soft touch, try tapping the button repeatedly instead of holding down.

Vine Climber by careless 2015-12-17T05:13:00

really cool! I like how the single world space is broken up into mini challenges based on the vine height. performance was a bit rough on my Mac, in particular the framerate seemed to stutter and drop when jumping and causing the screen to scroll. mad it a bit difficult to pull off some of the jumps.

Don't Press Them by CodeNMore 2015-12-17T05:20:00

nice job, seemed a bit intimidating at first but turned out to be quite simple to play. the silly premise is fun, and it's quite well constructed, especially given the short time frame!

Garden Grow by justinooncx 2015-12-17T05:25:00

really nice job! I like these kind of endless bouncers, and the slowly eroding line of clouds at the bottom really managed the tension nicely. the different powerups were fun too. nice!

SEED by sputnik 2015-12-14T02:42:00

really nice! very clever level design and aesthetic.

Crystonal by Kapura 2015-12-14T22:04:00

cool idea, and nice relaxing vibe. it's very hard to tell spatially where the gold cubes are, which compounds with the randomness of the purples (in particular) to make it very difficult to reach any gold cubes.

Need For Seed: Undergrowth by RhythmLynx 2015-12-15T04:42:00

awesome entry! great interpretation of (both!) themes, and just overall really well done. I love pico-8 games :)

Hypernova by Efuvex 2015-12-17T04:30:00

nice work- cool to see cutscenes and different environments and even some nice transition effects (the wave change effect is cool). gameplay itself was a bit repetitive and simple and I didn't get much of the theme in there, but a solid effort!

Droplet by madcoil 2015-12-14T22:12:00

Cool to see you using LD as a way to give yourself a technical challenge, the rendering looks really nice!

Gaia Vine by Soron 2015-12-15T05:56:00

nice work. I like that you incorporated both themes.

Battle Rose by goodbadokay 2015-12-16T06:43:00

pretty fun, clever theme and silly enemies. controls felt a bit loose and it was hard to tell if I was killing things or they were harming me.

Sushi Roll by adsilcott 2015-12-17T05:31:00

nice job. the graphics are quite impressive and the gameplay is simple but interesting.

Handshake Sim by fixedgerald 2015-12-17T05:03:00

silly, fun, awesome. i like the variety between each character, and the ridiculous premise is just enjoyable.

Zunus by Jonathan Whiting 2015-12-16T06:05:00

fantastic! The controls feel great, the simple graphical style is really effective, and the exploration and little bits of story really round it out.

HeXor by Sosolol261 2015-12-14T22:22:00

tried to run it on OS/X, but (after enabling permissions to run any apps), double clicking on the icon, nothing happens :(

PerePey by Riftpoint 2015-12-14T21:48:00

Just leaving a note that I wanted to play, but don't have a windows machine! thanks for rating my game.

Space Dual by DifferentName 2015-12-14T21:27:00

cool idea! it would help a lot if there was more feedback and sequencing when each hand is played, to make it more clear what's happening.

The End Of Radio by Cake_Catastrophe 2015-12-14T21:39:00

really nice job! very complete idea for such a short time frame. didn't really get much of the theme in there, but this is a nice game!

Stardust by Charzendat 2015-12-14T21:43:00

interesting idea... although the controls being so indirect make it very difficult to actually control specifically what does in and what stays out. and the asteroids are annoying :)

Tinder for Dinosaurs by marveus 2015-12-17T04:58:00

fun (and funny). silly but enjoyable premise, and the writing and imagery were clever.

Tile Breaker Revolution by lXxGarrisonxXl 2015-12-14T06:06:00

interesting idea. very difficult to control!

Junior Executive Assistant by AdWARDS 2015-12-16T06:38:00

lovely little Papers-Please-like. some very clever touches that keep you guessing if you're "playing it right".

Crane to Freedom by mhsco 2015-12-14T02:21:00

really fun, nice job! I ended up playing all the way to freedom :)

Greatest physics-based game that doesn't use real physics by KunoNoOni 2015-12-17T04:25:00

Nice little game, played fine in WebGL on OS/X Chrome for me.

Lava Miner by AlexaCol 2015-12-14T22:10:00

Fun, simple, nicely done!

LD45 — Start with nothing

L.D. Noire by karlipoppins 2019-10-07T02:57:43Z

safari doesn't like your web certificate, it doesn't want to let me access your page! I downloaded and played the game on Mac, and it was fun! I don't really get how it fits the theme other than I guess any investigation starts from "nothing"?

Regardless, a nice achievement!

Relationship Calculator by Gao Ming 2019-10-07T17:31:03Z

awesome idea. it took me a while to realize that the "0" numbers are being appended to the current number. fun and cute!

Armistice by frenchie 2019-10-11T06:49:53Z

great job! a really good idea, and well executed. I really enjoyed playing it.

BlockBeat by voxelv 2019-10-07T03:01:19Z

Error in safari: "undefined is not an object (evaluating 'GLctx.getParameter')". Chrome just showed a black screen, the game didn't load. this is on a Mac BTW... no Mac binary so unfortunately I can't play :(

Upward! by tmpxyz 2019-10-08T14:30:03Z

definitely an interesting idea... some more feedback on how the numbers are calculated would really help, I struggled to understand how the calculations were working, despite reading your explanation.

Nothing to Say by celia14 2019-10-11T14:26:12Z

Very cool! It's a very interesting idea and a great way to make navigating a (relatively short) dialog tree multiple times... it feels like Groundhog Day, in a grid way :)

Amnesiac Adventurer by justinooncx 2019-10-07T15:58:53Z

amazing idea! It's quite the brain teaser once the levels get a bit more complex. I love how the character runs in reverse, it's a great touch :)

LifeMission by appix 2019-10-07T03:22:05Z

nice job. interesting idea.

Tactical Bodybuilding by SuperTibbles 2019-10-07T14:13:29Z

great idea! I found it very hard to understand where to drop the parts to make them attach to my body... I kept trying to line up visually (like place the shoulder part of an arm perfectly on the arm attachment dot), but I think you needed to place the center of the part on the dot?

Also I got killed a lot at first and it was very hard to realize when I was detached from my toros, and when I wasn't. so in general, a bit more feedback would have improved the experience. when you get a few strong parts, you feel SUPER STRONG though, which was awesome :)

good job!

Froog by reBTF 2019-10-14T01:29:12Z

nice art, well done!

Time Shelter by Max S. 2019-10-11T06:41:07Z

nice work! pretty big map for just a game jam!

Typewriter Monkey by Marcel Oyuela-Bonzani 2019-10-07T19:25:27Z

couldn't figure out how to get it to work... playing WebGL in Safari. the intro text line is displayed, but nothing happens after that, despite my best slapping at the keyboard.

Gridwords by ixchow 2019-10-07T03:15:15Z

I got really confused by the rules... perhaps a bit more feedback about what's happening to make a move illegal would help. Also I agree that the theme interpretation is clever, but the word "nothing" might be making your first level(s) a bit more difficult that ideal.

Nothing Everything by James Beninger 2019-10-11T14:32:00Z

one of the most fun I've played in the jam! great job!

Nothing On Frontlines by Pavel Ivanov 2019-10-07T19:22:05Z

pretty good! I liked the building element added. When the huge pink dude showed up I was surprised :)

PrintScript by walaber 2019-10-07T15:57:40Z

I added a button to the print app that displays the manual direclly (and goes back to the print app when you dismiss it), as well as addressed the "manual's quit button is hard to click" issue. I also added a pop-up when your script has an error, that should help track down issues a bit more.

Thanks all for the feedback so far!

PrintScript by walaber 2019-10-11T06:32:52Z

Thanks for the notes, you're right on all of them! especially the "for int I" thing, I'm just too used to C/C# I guess, my hands had a mind of their own :P

PrintScript by walaber 2019-10-20T22:59:55Z

updated the in-game documents to properly show the syntax for "for loops".

Cut from Whole Cloth by Chad Cable 2019-10-07T17:14:04Z

soooo charming :)

We have Nothing! by mira 2019-10-07T14:22:19Z

nice one! the intro sequence is very charming and really puts you in the mood of the game. the puzzles later on are interesting as well. good feedback on the systems, everything was very easy to understand.

_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ (twenty six blanks) by 888 2019-10-07T03:39:45Z

I like the concept. fits the theme quite well, but is quite confusing at first!

7 Days by AppoxGames 2019-10-07T23:55:31Z

very nice! It was a cool moment when I realized that the old leaves were dying if I didn't keep them watered.

Under A Microscope by Sopata 2019-10-11T14:06:22Z

This seems like a cool idea, but (at least on the WebGL version I played) I can't get past level 2. as soon as I split the cell they start falling with gravity, but they pass right through the "walls" I created. is this a bug, or am I doing it wrong?

Slimy Situation by PetTurtle 2019-10-07T03:10:06Z

nice work. I agree that the concept is really cool, and implemented pretty well! I wish I could hold the right mouse and drag over points to suck them all up quickly, I think that would help the pacing. I also agree that goos lost off-screen coming back out of the most recent pipe would help a lot.

nice job!

Exit Nothing by Brice Mahier 2019-10-07T03:31:25Z

very cool idea. controls are quite finicky, the game would have been more enjoyable if it was easier to know what you can do and can't... I ended up feeling like I "cheesed" the levels.

Start with WHITE by IanTyf 2019-10-07T02:31:57Z

nice idea! very well executed too, I appreciated the little pop-ups on the main menu to explain things, and the control reminder, etc. I'm not sure how much the colors mix each time you collide (dose size have an effect?), but it felt pretty intuitive nonetheless.

FUD by zenpj 2019-10-08T00:00:48Z

funny idea!

No Room to Move by Thoof 2019-10-08T14:21:29Z

cool idea. I was confused at first, the bubble that gives new platforms has a sort of 'fire' icon on it, I thought that was something I should avoid at first. After figuring out the rules it was pretty fun. The most exciting part is when you have to make a 'leap of faith' and jump tp the bubble, trusting it will grant a platform below you :)

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

Phone Tree of Despair by Jezzamon 2020-10-18T04:42:20Z

this was super innovative and unique! Awesome game!

Time Rider by tgiant 2020-10-06T06:05:21Z

I was very confused with the controls at first, expecting regular car steering controls. it took me several fails to realize the controls switch "lanes" instead of steer directly. I think some clear marking on the road might help communicate that the game is about switching "lanes", instead of traditional racing.

StackInTheLoop by saurterrs 2020-10-06T06:18:33Z

nice job. I sat on the loading screen for far too long, and the controls were mis-labeled... down arrow is brake, not space! the camera is a bit wonky, but after getting used to it I was able to drive a little better.

Torus Tours by Jack Lance 2020-10-10T20:16:35Z

really interesting concept, and I really like the "math class doodles" visual style. I get stuck once you started getting pushable wrap regions, and had to move on to the next game to rate :P

Ludum War by oillen 2020-10-10T03:42:38Z

nice start, keep going!

Circuit Escape by kogyblack 2020-10-06T05:16:40Z

sooo fun! I will definitely come back to this one! what a simple, great idea!

Over Unity - A puzzle game by nardandas 2020-10-08T04:15:08Z

found it quite confusing for a quick play-through with my kids, but it's a very interesting idea when you have more time to really focus and puzzle through it.

Spinnerets by Jeremy Ryan 2020-10-08T03:45:22Z

Super fun! we played with my kids on stream and had a blast!

Loopark by Tex Killer 2020-10-10T03:55:25Z

very difficult to select the track sections, which made the otherwise very interesting concept a bit too frustrating to work with.

TALLY MARKS by de3sol 2020-10-06T05:27:36Z

beautiful work! amazing amount of polish for a jam entry!

Boomie by Chris Hall 2020-10-08T04:00:48Z

nice idea! we got pretty stuck as things got harder though! very clever idea.

Swingfinity by Otts 2020-10-10T05:04:47Z

great graphics, interesting concept! I wish the pull and push speed was a bit faster! overall the pace felt a little bit slow. nice work!

Paper Hell by Lexyvil 2020-10-06T05:50:54Z

pretty funny questions put in there keeps the game interesting :) nice music too!

LoopChan by Kaish 2020-10-08T05:10:20Z

great job! played it on stream with my kids and we had a blast!

Goop Loop by jitspoe 2020-10-10T20:03:20Z

awesome! took me MANY tries to get over the big hill, but I finally did it. really great job, and one of the best humorous entries I've played.

Orbiting Defense by Vimlark 2020-10-05T23:43:27Z

Great job Vimlark! You'd never know you struggled with the concept from the final result! It took me about 8 tries to finally save the Earth :)

Lucky Lefty Loves Loops by TheBookSnail 2020-10-06T23:22:26Z

couldn't get under ~35. great ending!

Torus The Dolphin by walaber 2020-10-05T16:31:56Z

I updated the WebGL build, the UI should be working now! framerate might not be great, I'll be uploading an optional windows build shortly (before the jam deadline)

Torus The Dolphin by walaber 2020-10-05T16:53:40Z

Windows build is up!

Torus The Dolphin by walaber 2020-10-06T23:22:56Z

there are a few other achievements, you can check them in the pause menu!

Torus The Dolphin by walaber 2020-10-10T20:18:12Z

@oillen thanks for playing! there is a pause menu in the game (escape key, and various buttons depending on gamepad type), and in there you can confirm all 14 achievements. once all are completed, some text shows up on-screen to let you know you're done :P

Splines 'n Shapes by SharkWithLasers 2020-10-07T05:48:25Z

really great! the ideal game jam game- clean concept perfectly on theme, an idea that makes you wonder why you haven't seen a game like it before, and very well-crafted too. Would love to see this expanded into a full release with some more variety and elements added in.

Divine Drifter by Enzar17 2020-10-10T04:51:11Z

really fun! played this with my kids on stream, and my 8yo loved it!

Zgulls by ashashza 2020-10-18T03:55:25Z

we played this game on stream with my kids. here is my son's review: I really liked the challenge to get to 100 fish. it took me 40 minutes to get 100 fish. i probably had a million slings and half a million boulders. i enjoyed alot!

Clone Kitchen by StormCat 2020-10-08T04:26:14Z

great idea! at first it wasn't clear how the past cooks would work, but it turned out hilarious!

Orbital Trip by Effarek 2020-10-10T05:23:09Z

Very interesting concept! the mouse click controls feel a bit awkward. I wish there was an option for a keyboard button to swap orbits!

Dreamer by mlkvr 2020-10-06T04:03:19Z

Beautiful graphics and style. nice start!

The Titan's grave by BadPiggy 2020-10-06T04:14:59Z

very nice work! perhaps a little repetitive, but really fun!

Keyspace by Jon Topielski 2020-10-07T03:32:15Z

nice idea, and the puzzles were interesting and challenging!

Re:Live by Ciber_Turtle 2020-10-10T04:27:20Z

Well-known concept, but the execution was really great! Nice levels and graphics,

Don't Freeze by Neonalig 2020-10-06T04:28:30Z

nice work! very easy to get lost! we will be coming back to this one!

Skicret Agent by SachaWitto 2020-10-10T04:11:08Z

GREAT idea! played with my son on stream (me on mouse, him on keyboard). super fun! wish there were more levels!

Groovy Loops by Simpathey 2020-10-06T04:48:45Z

great work! the audio really makes it fun to loop many times.

LOOPLLET HELL by Bicheste 2020-10-06T04:34:20Z

nice work! the graphics are beautiful, and the powerups feel POWERFUL!

L8ps by Delender1100 2020-10-06T04:59:40Z

nice! some of those jumps are HAAAARD

A Long Night At Work by jmattspartacus 2020-10-18T04:10:59Z

I was a bit confused, but an amazing concept with interesting controls.

Stuck In A While Loop by Sven Lowry 2020-10-06T06:11:18Z

This was really great! One of my favorites so far. the control scheme was a bit confusing, but the style of the screen layout, and the logic of the puzzles was really fun to think through. I'd love to play a longer, expanded version of this idea.

Loop Deleter by Zachary Barbanell 2020-10-08T04:55:25Z

great concept, fantastic! head-scratching indeed, but super clever. will definitely come back to this one!

LD47 72Hours 《Jump and Turn》 by ashjo 2020-10-06T05:57:10Z

nice idea. the comic images at the start are very nice! the game is very buggy though, I had a lot of trouble dying.

RUFF TIME by rickropes 2020-10-08T03:29:32Z

Very innovative! enjoyed playing the first few puzzles!

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Junk Seller by kimau 2022-10-05T23:27:37Z

nice idea! i was dragging them specifically into their slots, and was frustrated that something I wanted to place in slot 3 was snapping into slot 2, eventually I realized it's much better to deliver them in order from left to right, and then the "snapping" feels generous and helpful.

Gelato Drift by thomz12 2022-10-07T00:35:16Z

nice and well made! the controls felt a bit clunky to me, mostly it felt like after stopping steering I couldn't predict which way the car would finally end up pointing, which made things a bit frustrating.

The Night Owl Murder by Iluvatar 2022-10-04T23:01:05Z

fantastic game, amazing you made this in such a short time. really nice! I was able to solve the case on my first try. Definitely left me wanting a longer case to solve!

The Zero Countdown by kromeboy 2022-10-04T17:19:48Z

nice work. I couldn't get the game to play on WebGL, the "Play" button was greyed out. Windows download worked tho. The speed of the bullets and the rate of fire felt really slow in comparison to my overpowered modern fighter jet :D

Big Block Mode by UnitedFailures 2022-10-05T23:36:18Z

nice variation on tetris that incorporated the theme well! It's super hard, and the finer rules around what happens when you run out of time / the phase switches were a bit confusing, but would probably become more clear over repeated play.

Frantic Belt by wheybags 2022-10-04T22:44:35Z

nice entry overall! could probably benefit from a bit more explanation about what each machine does, some are obvious, others not so much.

TheCameraman by PxGluz 2022-10-04T16:44:18Z

Interesting concept! Nice work, definitely something you could expand on after the jam.

Quinx by Joshua Weggartner 2022-10-04T17:34:03Z

nice entry! clever, simple concept. Music was a bit repetitive, but that's sort of to be expected :) Definitely agree the counter should be counting down not up to slightly over 10 seconds.

Ev'ry's 10 Second Adventure! by José Bonilla 2022-10-04T17:14:46Z

Very cool concept, and impressive amount of content (even a tutorial!) for a compo entry. great job! If you update this in the future, some improvement to the UX (being able to easily drag and reposition entries on the timeline, having a palette to pull from instead of using the mouse wheel) would be some nice improvements.

Curse of the Wereburger by Brainloaf Studio 2022-10-07T00:14:48Z

really nice job! of course the art is really impressive for a jam game, but I was happy to see the puzzle mechanics were really fun and interesting too! overall fantastic job! Only complaint is that the animations need to handle interruptions better so that you can play quickly. I would get different results if I played fast vs slow (as in die sometimes with the exact same moves). Didn't detract from the experience much tho. great work!

Flash Scrumble by vidim888 2022-10-07T00:30:03Z

This theme was tailor made for a wario-ware style game. This is the first one I've seen to give feedback for, and it's really well done! I liked the variety of the games. I really struggled with the controls for the archery game, never quite figured out how it wanted me to use the mouse.

Desynchronization Escape by Kalendhos 2022-10-07T00:22:53Z

I'm not sure if I was doing something wrong, but the arrow keys and space didn't seem to do anything at all. well, up arrow / W key caused my character to jump, but that's it. tried everything I could think of, but nothing. :(

Terminal Velocity by mhorth 2022-10-04T21:34:09Z

really, really solid entry! the feeling of speed is great, and the obstacles ramp up just enough to be interesting throughout. I really liked the "flip" move, it added a lot to what would otherwise be just simple left/right dodging. Great graphics and sound as well!

Modern Post by Holy_Doggo01 2022-10-04T17:44:48Z

really nice entry! simple but satisfying concept, and it feels good to get better. My only request would be to refine the drag and drop a bit so that it's more reliable (let's you slam the cursor into the corners and always accept that location, speed up the tween/spring on the movement, etc) under pressure.

Line Momentum by Itooh 2022-10-04T17:04:15Z

Really beautiful entry! The 2nd pattern was really difficult and took me waaaay to long to pass it, but I was glad I did because then I was able to finish the game, and it was a really nice experience. The music/audio is amazing!

Geometrical Clock by Locke8 2022-10-04T16:28:16Z

An interesting concept. I liked some of the bullet patterns. I found it very difficult to see the bullets in many cases because they are so similar in color to the background. A bit clearer feedback on when you're taking damage and you're not might help! Also I tried shooting the enemies but it didn't seem to do anything? maybe I was missing something.

Spacivery by fireKS 2022-10-04T17:28:10Z

Very nice visuals and audio, but unfortunately I have no idea what I'm doing. I tried following the red arrow but could never seem to find what it was pointing at. No idea what any of the items do :(

📺 You Call The Shots! by Choo 2022-10-07T00:41:15Z

welp, this was awesome.

How much can you do in 10 Seconds by A-Krits-All-You-Need 2022-10-04T17:22:43Z

nice simple entry, congrats on finally entering a game in LD! Even such a simple concept with a high score can be quite addicting.

Descender by salamandur 2022-10-04T21:15:16Z

nice work. I found it frustrating when I would get caught up on corners and there wasn't any "sliding" behavior to help me slide around and continue on. 10 seconds never felt to short! Nice interpretation of the theme.

Out To Pasture! by RaspbarryGames 2022-10-04T21:21:01Z

I like the sherical world, it makes searching harder because you have so much less visibility. I'm not sure I see the "every 10 seconds" theme in here at all, but perhaps you focused on other things.

LD54 — Limited Space

Target Ball Z by TimBeaudet 2023-10-02T22:34:17Z

had the same OpenAL issue, then noticed the download link in the readme :)

A Parking Story by Gao Ming 2023-10-03T05:03:11Z

super great! sometimes simple is best. the band-aids were a nice touch! I would have intuitively preferred for the steering to auto-center, but I see why you implemented it the way you did, and I think it makes sense overall.

Lines by thebmxeur 2023-10-03T01:39:40Z

Windows won't let me play it, even after choosing to "run anyway" :(

Intermodal by jotson 2023-10-03T23:41:46Z

lovely! at first I thought I wouldn't like just clicking on idle vehicles and everything else was automated, because I assumed I'd rather "direct" which containers are stored where / which ones are delivered to each waiting truck (kind of the inverse of the current control scheme)... but in practice after playing a bit, your design turned out to offer more agency than I anticipated. It is really soothing and addictive to play!

Packing by homeworld 2023-10-04T00:15:28Z

I couldn't find the 6th box on day 3 and I feel like that means I missed getting further into the game where it seemed like some spooky elements would present themselves. The physics-based carrying is pretty nice but could use a bit of tuning to make it snappier and less frustrating to use. Very impressive entry overall!

Denpo by Strato 2023-10-04T18:07:20Z

what a simple, great concept! it took me a while to realize that the shooter was turning into what the next shot would be. perhaps a slight bounce when it transitions would help draw the eye there and make that a bit more evident. super engaging to play, great work!

Space Trucks by digital bacon 2023-10-06T17:38:24Z

fun idea, nice music and simple visuals. overall I found the difficulty ramp to be waaaaay to slow to keep my attention. I imagine this gets much more fun with the timing is a bit tighter, but I couldn't hang around long enough to get there. I was looking for signs that things were speeding up after each truck, but didn't see much.

SpaceTime by Thenerdster 2023-10-03T23:55:40Z

simple idea, always a good choice when you're learning something new! keep it up!

Limited Parking Space by Johnsensei 2023-10-03T05:07:07Z

fun idea, very difficult to control! accelerating and braking were near-instant, but the turning was super slow in comparison. a little tuning on the car controls would have improved this a lot!

Plots LLC by Matt Swieboda 2023-10-03T01:37:40Z

very nice idea and execution! took me some trial and error at first to work out what order to do things in. I think some icons on the meters on the left would help a lot, so players can more easily understand what each meter represents and therefore what to focus on.

Robo Rush Hour by michaelaranda 2023-10-03T04:52:23Z

really nice job! although a simple premise, it is very well put together, especially the art and sounds, but also the movement and input is really solid and responsive as well. good job!

[in frame] by PizzArt64 2023-10-08T03:43:23Z

really great idea, a very interesting constraint to force the player to think about perspective (literally). the feedback in-game was pretty confusing to me, having objects be red outside the viewfinder but blue inside the viewfinder made understanding the rules needlessly confusing IMO. with a bit more refinement, guidance, this is a great concept for a larger game!

Though I Walk by AdamCYounis 2023-10-04T18:00:58Z

excellent entry, which is no surprise of course. the main mechanic is super interesting and this served as a great initial exploration of the possibilities. very, very well done!

Mechanizyn by Lincolnsalles 2023-10-06T17:28:15Z

congrats on finishing your first project in the Jam category!

Downsizer by RyanWoods 2023-10-02T23:38:07Z

Beautiful visuals and sounds. Had a bit of a hard time understanding what the traps were and how to use them properly. A few bugs also got in the way of enjoying it more. For a theme of "limited space" the map sure feels big :)

Debugged by Back2Zero 2023-10-03T01:45:54Z

very cool interpretation of the theme! aiming with the mouse is a bit frustrating because of the small viewpoint combined with the moving window. I think perhaps a simpler aiming and shooting mechanism would have helped. I frequently ran out of ammo... perhaps there were ammo pickups I didn't find/understand?

Purrrgatory by lumie 2023-10-03T01:24:53Z

fun concept. the difficulty ramping is pretty extreme, which sucks some of the fun out of it I think. even a simple concept can be engaging with good tuning! congrats on finishing your first jam! the cat spirits are very cute :)

Ride to Clown School by Neandi 2023-10-03T01:19:53Z

great interpretation of the theme, and fun combination of dragging/stacking and driving mechanics. the wobbly wheels are very funny :)

Packed to the Gills by npckc 2023-10-05T16:48:36Z

lovely entry! a simple concept well executed, just the right length as well.

Reborn----I am the king of APP by Saumon 2023-10-18T21:00:38Z

fun idea, congrats on finishing a game for the jam, that's a big accomplishment! As already mentioned, a bit more feedback to players on what the stats are doing and affecting, and what trade-offs you are making with each update would go a long way to make it more engaging and enjoyable to play.

InvenStory by pro4 2023-10-03T01:57:46Z

super high quality entry! some of the vocab was confusing (I didn't know what the word was referring to), not sure how much that was an intended part of the puzzle or not. very impressive!

Slideworld by XRy 2023-10-03T02:04:30Z

This is a really interesting puzzle mechanic! familiar and fresh at the same time. The graphics made it a bit difficult to discern what is interactable and what isn't. Would love to see this expanded into a more complete game in the future!
