Overall, I love the idea and feel of this game. There aren't too many tweaks I myself could think of. It is very well made and looks lovely. Great Job!
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD45 → Armistice

Thanks @travis-carlen! I'd love to hear what tweaks you could think of! There's certainly a lot more I wanted to do, but I'm curious what I didn't even think of!
I beat the game! The concept is awesome. Each level is just freeform enough that it feels like there are many solutions. I laughed out loud at the enemy that was using my original strategy (guns blazing, spinning in place). Great job!
Great concept! I was super confused at first though, because it said "press Space to shoot" and my spacebar received some unkindness from me. Thought maybe there was a bug or something, and after several unsuccessful ship configurations, I was about to quit, but that last configuration was the right one. Got through several missions after that. There's a lot of potential here beyond LD45! Well done.
It took me a while to figure out what to do on the first level. I put my cockpit and thruster in the two squares. I can thrust up hard and hit the other cockpit and everything blows up. It tells me to grab some scrap. How? I just wind up back at the ship design and nothing has changed. I can also thrust soft and then wind up pushing the other cockpit, but it doesn't seem like there's anything out there no matter how far I push it. I mounted an engine sideways and it just spins the ship, and backwards and I just go away from the other cockpit. Rotate and Fire keys (Q, E, Space?) do nothing.
Answer: build the ship backwards. Engine on top, cockpit behind it. Not even touching each other visually. But this configuration for some reason blows up the other cockpit and you go to level 2.
So after that initial frustration, this game is GREAT! Physics puzzles and space combat are my favorite things, you should check my game out too. Also physics and spaceships! Not so much combat though.
The steering is not obvious at all. The instructions say Q and E rotate, but they don't seem to do anything? I think the strafe keys don't try to smartly figure out which thrusters to fire, they just fire the thrusters that are pointed a certain direction? I wound up with most of my ships being controlled backwards. But it kind of didn't matter, just flailing around worked well enough on most levels.
I particularly liked the level with only two thrusters and one narrow opening on the other side of the enemy ship. That's a good puzzle, more like that would be nice. Just more, I would keep playing this one!
I need a walkthrough to play this game, i want to play this game. edit: i'm going for the source code then edit:after 20 minutes of trying i blasted the enemy cockpit! edt:fiished this was a blast
@zillix I'm glad at least one person was able to beat it!
@tohubohu Glad you were able to get past the first level! I didn't realize how confusing it could be until I started getting this feedback!
@ogre Nice job figuring out the puzzle! For rotation, you'll need to make sure you have thrusters that are pointed sideways and are not aligned with the center of mass. There's a decent amount of "real" physics here, for better or for worse! Thanks for the detailed feedback! I'll be sure to check out your game!
@Anonymous - I'm guessing you got stuck on the first level. You lose when your cockpit is destroyed, so make sure you put the thruster in front!
Edit: Nevermind, turns out I'm not very creative... The game is actually really neat! Reminds me a LOT of Captain Forever, which I remember playing years ago, and that's awesome. I wish there was some kind of indicator to show where the enemy was once they are out of your screen, since I spent a while chasing them down, and the missiles were so easy to use with the ability to just kite and fire endlessly, plus giving you an enemies direction once you get close enough. Overall a very solid game if you're creative!
@brokenmirrormedia you lose whenever your cockpit is destroyed. Imagine a configuration where your cockpit is not the first part to get hit. If you need the answer, I've just added it to the description under a spoiler tag
@frenchie Yeah I managed to figure it out eventually, but it might be a bit tricky for a tutorial level. But all things considered the game is really well polished!
@brokenmirrormedia I thought this was the simplest level I could create, with only two parts. I was very wrong! It's great you were able to figure it out!
I love the idea! Art was minimal and good, cool job!
Good gravy, that was a little more challenging than I thought it'd be! The whole game was pretty fun, and I got to the end eventually (die, rebel scum!), but man, that one level with the thrusters where I need to boost myself into the damn box... That taught me an important lesson on how thrusters work, though, and the placement was important in determining how fast you turn! A pretty fun entry, well done!
Great game with a lot of depth. The levels started getting a lot easier once I started to create ships that didn't have all the parts to be a great space faring vessel and started making one and done problem solvers. I also liked the level where you could only use a 2 boosters and had to solve it much more like a puzzle than a shmup.
One minor nitpick is that it would have been nice to have a minimap or some way of knowing which way the enemy ship is when they end up offscreen and you have to maneuver your 2 booster ship towards them.
Overall great entry!
I had trouble finishing the levels when most enemies just flew-off screen uncontrollably, but damn this was lot of fun! The camera movement(especially when you turn) felt trippy as heck, probably the thing I enjoyed the most xD Couldn't get past the level with 2 enemies because of the mentioned problem, but then again I'm probably doing something wrong. Will definitely come back to this to try again. Edit: Came back and finished it xD
Strong compo entry! I crush those rabels! Think that other commentators already write all about your game, so I am here just to say that you do amazing job for 48 hours
@justinooncx @pranjalbisht, and @team-on (I think, can't quite tell from your post ) **Congrats on beating it!** I made the game a little harder than intended, and I'm impressed by the tenacity of the LD crowd to bust through my poor design and come out on top :fire:
For all future souls who feel lost, I've now included a Windows build with an "easy mode" which takes a lot of the challenge of effective thruster placement out of the game  Good luck!
great job! a really good idea, and well executed. I really enjoyed playing it.
Incredible game in 48 hours. You are pro. Great work and good luck with publishing!
I think you did awesome job. The number of levels, friendly UI and consistent graphics made me feel like a real engeneer! Sometimes I don"t really get how physics of my ship work, but it was still very playble. The fact you managed to do this in just 48 hours is udoubtedly very impressive. *Congrats!*
I need a full version so I can spam Mk. III missiles on an entire rebel fleet.
That was pretty good! Could easily see this being a full game! However maybe make the first level a bit easier :P
wow very cool game. took me a second to figure out how the first level worked, but after it was so fun trying out different out different ship combos. I really like that you give too many ship parts for how much space you have so you can really tweak things to how you like it. Nice job. I too would like to see a full version :)
Very solid, reminds me of Nimbus a lot. Super nice artstyle!
This game was actually amazing, I can't BELIEVE you made this in 48 hours! There first few levels were a bit frustrating, but by then end, when you gave the player tons of freedom in how they created their ship, I was having the time of my life. I'll definitely replay this game again when I'm bored. Awesome job!
Very nice!
