Sometimes a bit fiddly to get the stuff to go where you want it, but that's physics for you. Neat game!

I like the graphics and controls) category icons could be move readable, like for example I didn't understrand what the bell icon means)

Cool concept, but it is hard to see some pieces, and even harder to grab them... Sometimes the wrong piece would be selected by mistake and it was hard to remove it. Without a goal there doesn't seem to be any reason to keep playing after you understand how it works.

I think if you made the shapes easier to see and pick, added goals (ex: leveling up, change of scene, etc) the game would be a lot more interesting, but I understand the time constraint is prohibitive, especially for a compo entry on a new platform while you've got a cold. Good job!

I think the idea could work with more polish and time, but as it stands right now I think it's a bit buggy, somewhat bland and the UI is a bit finicky. I agree on clearer indicators of the orders and more visual flair to encourage to keep playing would be good. Congrats on submitting though!

I liked the physics aspect! Would be cool to get more feedback when you fail

Cool physics game, but requires a lot of polishing, it's really hard to remove already placed block, as it would snap back

The concept is nice, and it would be great to see it finished.

At the moment, the gameplay is very fidly. It's hard to get the stuff to where it needs to go, and the icons don't seem to correspond well to available pieces (for example: there are white icons, but no white pieces). Probably some tutorial or more detailed explanation would help :)

It's still a tremendous job you did for a 48 hours alone! And Godot 4 should be glorious when it releases (we are still sticking to stable for our projects, but we're excited for the features 4 will bring)

Took me an embarrassingly long amount of time to realise the white ones means they want the shape not colour. A very cool concept, the only problem I had was that sometimes it took a while for the colours I needed would come and I would fail a round as a result. Overall good job though!

nice idea! i was dragging them specifically into their slots, and was frustrated that something I wanted to place in slot 3 was snapping into slot 2, eventually I realized it's much better to deliver them in order from left to right, and then the "snapping" feels generous and helpful.

Gutsy move to use an alpha version, but I think it turned out. I liked the feel of rustling through the pieces to get the ones I needed, and seeing other parts fly around. Cute aesthetic too. The start button/scoreboard is pretty cool - I like how it's part of the scene. I liked that the matching requests varied in type, like colour or shape, so the parts could be used in different ways. The game would benefit from some guidance, like a tutorial, or even an instruction screen. I figured it out after a few rounds though.

:) Nice game! It's still a bit difficult, I think. But the mechanics and controls are solid, and the aesthetic is great! Some simple "chunk" and "ding" sfx would really tie it all together! :) Extra props for being adventurous with Godot 4!

Fun little matching game - liked the physics messing things up a bit! Ran out of a color quite often. Would have been nice to have a little bit of extra interaction somehow?

soultie 2022-10-08 17:26

Graphics were nice, but it was hard for my son and I to play.

pickens-inc 2022-10-11 13:38

Hmm, I seem to be unable to run it unfortunately! I'm getting an error stating my video card driver doesn't support any of the supported Vulkan or OpenGLversions, and to either update them or upgrade my GPU. I'm running a GTX 1080 with the latest drivers which should be plenty for an entry, but I'll try reinstalling my drivers to see if it's something on my end.

very nice game, quite a challenge to manage the total bricks you have, and not smashing them all around
