LD44 — Your life is currency

Life Business by jk5000 2019-04-29T12:25:35Z

I really like the information given when you hover over a house. It's a clean and quick way to get the information. The rest of the information is clearly displayed too.

I enjoyed the voice-over. It's a nice touch.

The Akolythe and the Amulet of Andhor by zondarg 2019-04-29T15:54:47Z

Nice game. Nicely executed. The art and music are great and they contribute to a consistent mood. The game was easily completed without using any magic though, so it might benefit from balancing.

Since there is a score and treasure to increase the score. Maybe there could be more emphasis on it?

Rising Pyramid by BoltKey 2019-04-29T12:08:58Z

I played it after the instructions were added. It still took me a few tries to really understand how to play. I may have read the instructions too fast.

I find the mechanics are well thought out. I like the progression: One tile dispenser starts. It's slow. You cash in matches (I like that you chose when to cash in), and buy new dispensers (1-4). The new dispensers are slow, you cash in matches, and speed up those dispensers.

At best, I only made it half way up. It's a good challenge.

Tree of Life by wolar 2019-05-04T14:46:13Z

Really fun game. The selection of weapons was good, and they were well balanced. The controls were smooth. You didn't make the music or font, but you picked really good ones that went really well with the game. I really liked the animation and path indicator when a new cave opened up.

Life Time by ALourenco 2019-04-29T18:53:51Z

The hand-drawn art looked really nice. I agree with fazz, the audio was good. The gameplay was a little to simple for my liking.

Choice of Life by victorcrafty 2019-04-29T12:49:38Z

I started with the brain. Don't sacrifice the brain.

It's a lot of fun. The art and animations are really nice. I had a hard time with the combat. I couldn't make it past a centaur.

Ghosts by sunnray 2019-04-29T18:44:33Z

I really liked the aesthetic. The main character looked really cool. The memories idea was cool. I didn't understand the goal (beyond clicking for memories). I did see the end screen.

Life is Currency by Rancoud 2019-04-29T16:27:38Z

That's a nice creepy atmosphere. I like the voiced characters.

I found myself tripping over stuff on the floor. I wouldn't see it unless I looked down.

LONG LIFE by amykos 2019-04-29T12:34:15Z

Do everything: 53 years. Do nothing: 40 years. Carefully (slightly dishonestly) answering questions: 53 years.

It's good for a laugh.

One More Drop by ZAX 2019-04-29T15:16:29Z

That was fun. I appreciate all of the blood spatter. It made me think that I was making a mark on this world. The drawing style and animations were great.

I went through the game using the full charge, since it seemed to do the trick all of the time (1 shot every mob), and I never ran out of life. So it could use some balancing, I guess.

Meaningful Life by Belea 2019-04-29T14:35:51Z

I like this.

The scene is really nice. The chicks are adorable. The shells.. are in my McNuggets? The second ending seems unfinished, considering that the machine is so polished.

I think the sound was a little loud. It may have been clipping a bit.

Happiness Life by ManTou 2019-04-29T13:03:12Z

Cute game! I love the art. I like the "you work, you sleep" pattern - it's funny 'cause it's true.

I started with the tutorial. It wasn't really helpful. I clicked on a few things (next to arrows), then I went bankrupt without knowing why. After all, I did what the arrows told me to do :) However, when I started the real game, the controls made sense. That is except for the email bit. It took me a bit to realize that we're paying bills (at work).

Polar Delivery by onnofal 2019-04-29T16:45:57Z

The game seeks to bring a "relaxing meditative environment", and it succeeds at that. I love the penguins.

It's a bit awkward to turn around to steer, and I found the default inverted Y axis to be confusing (I vote for not inverted to be the default :).

The scope is a nice touch.

World Class Track Meat by Dan Thompson 2019-05-01T02:38:36Z

This was really funny. The music was perfect. I also like how the three events play a little differently from one another, even though only the spacebar is needed.

Apothecary's Piggy Bank by MayChant 2019-05-05T17:28:16Z

I like the mechanics of this game. It's different. The upgrades work really well.

I found that later in the game I can always keep one guy healthy every level. It might be good to prevent that, since it gets old really fast, and I won't just quit because I still want to win :)

A good entry.

American Healthcare by Abraxas Interactive 2019-04-30T23:31:23Z

Fun game! I really like the way the screen rotates, and how you're steering the bullets. The particle effects are just right. Also, that's a really nice interpretation of the theme.

I wasn't sure what my progress was throughout the level though. There was no indication that I lost, aside form it restarting, and I'm not sure if there's a winning condition.

bombs are you by Simplename 2019-04-29T13:32:25Z

The core gameplay was fun and intuitive. I'm a bomb, throwing bombs! I also like the bomb character :)

I feel like some type of score should be shown. There's the number of bombs left, but maybe a count for how many squares I exploded would be good.

There were some issues with buttons. In the info screen, the exit button was half off-screen. The start button was only half-clickable. I played it in windowed mode at 1920x1200.

Hollow Priest by pandan 2019-04-29T19:48:20Z

That was a lot of fun. The fire-to-jump-higher mechanic made all of the difference. It wasn't always easy to jump where I wanted to, but it was always fun trying.

I also liked the decaying hand.

EnigmaDeath by DigitalLimestone 2019-04-29T19:30:02Z

The art and music are great. I like your take on the theme too. I found finding and jumping to the last murder tools was frustrating though, since it was difficult to figure out how to climb back up to some places.

I really like the story and how it was presented.

UFO Fishing by pvp 2019-04-29T14:12:28Z

The game looks good, and the controls feel good. It was way too difficult for me though. The fish spawn so close, and they're really fast!

AVE Knight by NinjaCatz 2019-04-29T17:39:09Z

Great art, music, and movement. I couldn't get past the shovels, though I liked their story. I really like when and how the text bubbles appear.

There were a few background things that I wasn't sure whether or not I could interact with them. In one screen (the one before the shovels), there's a hanging sword and a rock-looking thing above it. I jumped to the rock, and nothing happened. I expected something to happen.

All in all. Great execution.

Coin Platformer by sillyman987 2019-04-29T16:53:15Z

Money likes money too! There are some bugs, but the mechanics were fluid. It needs to be harder though.

It can only hurt by Harksa 2019-04-29T20:14:20Z

This game is addictive. It's so simple, but the feel is just right. The upgrades are meaningful, but not overpowering. You shouldn't have opted out from the music. It's catchy.

ORBid by Martynas 2019-04-29T13:55:30Z

That was fun! The mood is really set well. I really like the music, and how it fits the art style.

Also Orb-id... cute name.

p-p-p-Pew by 5n1p3r_4r73m1s 2019-05-03T02:22:20Z

Fun game. The firing and movement felt really good.

Some of the enemies fired at different rates than others. It may be worthwhile to give them a visual indicator, like if they were a different color. Also, some way to tell progress would be good, like a count of the enemies left.

A good entry.

Heartful Decisions by Lubaka 2019-04-29T13:21:31Z

Fun Game. I like the way the heart moved, and rubber-banded back.

I couldn't see the 3d elements in Chrome Version 73.0.3683.103 (Official Build) (64-bit). It worked for me in FireFox.

Pilgrimage of Ascension by Pincushion 2019-04-29T17:05:35Z

Thanks so much for the feedback, and for playing the game!

I wasted lots of time trying to get the character rigged. I need to practice that. The music suffered because of this too. I wasn't aware how valuable music would be for LD. This is a tip that I won't forget. I had originally planned to have the character hop/crawl when losing legs, but that was cut too.

Mortal: the fate of cells by pwroff 2019-04-29T14:59:29Z

I liked the blood cell mission. The controls were fluid. I liked the sound effects.

While I really liked the white wire-frame aesthetic, it became hard to look at.

Karmaman by Erichjag 2019-04-29T15:36:54Z

This is a nice and polished game! The mechanics are fluid, and puzzles are well made. The floating soul is a nice way to explore the map ahead of any move too.

I felt that the crackle effect, while it looks nice, becomes hard to look at after a while. The story screens when the game starts could benefit from a "next screen" button (instead of only the option to skip). The tutorial was also well done and easy to follow.

Oh, the link is described as "source code", but it's the actual game.

Burgers To Die For by Cievers 2019-04-29T17:58:54Z

The game looks great. I like the cheers. It's pretty fun, and surprisingly challenging. I like your take on the theme.

I did have a technical issue. The objects (and hit boxes) appeared to be shifted up. e.g. The top two burgers were half-off the screen. I suspect this is because I'm playing on 3440x1440 (32:9). I couldn't find any way to change the resolution. I'm playing on Windows. Aside from that, the game played well.

Save Your Soul! by wardetta 2019-04-29T18:32:46Z

I couldn't figure out level 3. I liked using the body parts as a decoy. That certainly fits the theme, and it's pretty original.

LD45 — Start with nothing

Empty Dungeon by Wevel 2019-10-07T20:03:38Z

You even start without key bindings. That's good! You nailed the art and music too.

Well done.

Skeleton Quest by mahalis 2019-10-10T00:40:54Z

Really cute game. It's fun, and it has a nice look too. It would have been cool if the neighbourhood had some variation.

Mae's Turtle Beach by R3L0ad1 2019-10-07T19:31:16Z

This was really fun. The art and music were cute. The difficulty ramped-up too fast though. I think 7 waves was my best.

When there were many turtles (turtles that died), the zoom-in effect was used too much for my liking.

NoGo45 by bcvery1 2019-10-07T14:17:18Z

Very nice introduction and walkthrough. The upgrade system felt rewarding. The navigation felt really good. I wasn't always clear why I lost health. It felt like I just suddenly died. Also, I think that there wasn't any instructions for projectiles.

Adrift by jwiggs 2019-10-07T18:37:49Z

Nice execution! Made it to wave 7. It looks like I only picked up right wings - never left. It still flew great! I appreciated that the bullets were heat-seeking. I never picked up a better gun, which would have been nice.

Fun game.

Garbage Shop by MRUniverse 2019-10-10T00:19:52Z

I love the concept. I think you did a good job with the inventory system and the interactions. As others have said, some sort of progression is needed. Good game.

Vengeful Spirit by Jajakeim 2019-10-07T13:30:22Z

I love the transitions, great job using so few pixels. Best looking sprites under 30 pixels.

Your playable introduction with dialogue system is really nice too, although it took me a few tries to realize that I could only die - so tragic.

I couldn't make it to the third power-up. I think the difficulty could ramp up a little slower.

Epic story of a nobody by The Osk 2019-10-07T15:16:45Z

That was a cute story with a cute look. The map + Y/N mechanics worked well. I liked the humor that was worked in. I completed one tragic ending.

I found that while I really liked the fight sequences (both the sound and text), I didn't like having to repeat it so many times.

Also, it would have been nice to resize the window.

Dayunisi Builds the World! by niterich 2019-10-07T17:51:29Z

I built a nice money-making platform, because I wanted those clouds whether they buffed or not. It was fun. The art was good, even though I wish the character was animated. The sound and music fit the game well.

Red Shirt Flying Super Powers Man by Netherlab 2019-10-07T13:58:56Z

I played the web build. You have a nice consistent look. The sound effects were great. The transitions when you enter the house were smooth.

I didn't notice if fireball was doing anything to the zombies. Do they have invisible health bars? I really liked flying around. It was a good moment of relief from the chase. Also it was flying.

Nothingness by PhillSerrazina 2019-10-07T16:00:36Z

Nice quick game. "grab a cuppa and enjoy this relaxing experience" is spot on. Great music and art. I appreciate all the potential side-effects and endings.. really nice.

ARCADE GIRL by ROBOWARRIOR1982 2019-10-07T20:25:42Z

I waited at the loading screen until 75% before I realized I was already playing. Got my 4 stars. I feel like I accomplished something. The "arcade" was plain and easy, but it was well done.

Fun game!

The Lucky Nugget by Julien Kuhn 2019-10-09T01:06:08Z

It was so simple, but I couldn't stop clicking, so I'm now a 3 billionaire! I did want to click on the people around the fire though. It was fun!

Seed by Trusty 2019-10-07T16:57:42Z

So much good here. Sorry, I have no feedback. I think you achieved what you set out to do.

Aphantasia by kristinamay 2019-10-07T16:42:02Z

I love the hand drawn.. everything! The music was good and went well with the game. I appreciate that you tried something different. Great entry.

In the beginning by SnufkinsHat 2019-10-09T01:39:35Z

The art was really nice! I liked how the story was delivered to the player. I now want to see the other days. I would have liked to have a little challenge too.

Land for Sheep by Pincushion 2019-10-07T16:05:46Z

@move127 @joshuarabbit @starvingindie Thanks for playing and for the feedback!

@twinturbodouche That's too bad. Thanks for trying.

Land for Sheep by Pincushion 2019-10-07T17:34:39Z

@randomnine Yeah, it's got bugs. Thanks for playing!

Land for Sheep by Pincushion 2019-10-09T18:42:41Z

@lesinvisible I didn't get the chance to balance the game, let alone fix all of the bugs. The wolves are meant to provide you with a lot of energy when you kill them, so you can continue to make land. They also eat the sheep, which might be useful if there isn't enough grass. That was the idea anyway. I appreciate the feedback, and thanks for playing!

Land for Sheep by Pincushion 2019-10-10T19:37:18Z

@locomule The game really needed a tutorial (I crammed this info into the esc menu). Eventually, the new tiles are rock instead of grass. The cows fertilize the rock tiles into grass. Thanks for the feedback!

Land for Sheep by Pincushion 2019-10-13T15:52:22Z

@lombax I think that means you win. Thanks so much for playing and for the screenshot too!

A Fishermans Friendly Island Builder by Lombax 2019-10-09T01:30:27Z

The game was pretty fun for about 5 mins. I liked that the fishing was just a little challenging. If it had the other elements you were going for, it would have been fun for a while longer. You also did a good job with the art.

Nothing On Frontlines by Pavel Ivanov 2019-10-08T02:08:34Z

It was like a fun twist on tower defense. I liked that tutorial mode. The model's animations looked really good. I couldn't always drop weapons even when I had the money though.

Well done.

Youre Being Chased By Nothing by Emily Ghostbreze 2019-10-07T20:57:15Z

The audio really completes this game. It's really spooky. I started playing without the sound and was wondering what even going on. I appreciated the puzzle. Great first horror game. Great entry.

The Unknown Nude by romes 2019-10-10T01:07:44Z

Nice music and nice art! It feels pretty repetitive though.

a new beginning by Reasonable Games 2019-10-07T17:33:04Z

Great art. This was exactly hard enough for me. I'm glad that there were checkpoints in each room. A nice feature would be to reset the boxes in each room, since they manage to get into funny places.

This was a fun game. Thanks.

Happy jumper by Trito 2019-10-07T17:12:44Z

Hehe, I also waited for level 2. The mechanics are simple, but they work well. With more levels, this could be a solid platformer. I really liked the glasses mechanic.

Robo-Fort by geoff.nagy 2019-10-08T01:50:34Z

It's fun! Simple mechanics. Really polished game. I liked that the tutorial was also the way to begin the game.

Well done.

Idle Twit by Josh Aaron Miller 2019-10-10T01:19:51Z

I like how it was put together. Nice sound effects and presentation. I couldn't figure out how to get eggplant though.

The Desert of Nothingness by Douwe_Ravers 2019-10-07T16:27:40Z

I liked the idea. The UI was really nice too. The game would have been fun. I had too many placement issues though - I couldn't complete it.

I couldn't place a second round of cactus. A few times, I still could plant palm trees.

All in all, nice first game.

Starts with nothing by OwnGamesGamer 2019-10-07T15:35:33Z

This was a fun little mining and crafting game. The progression worked well. I built a rocket ship, and put my alien in the ship. Next stop, Area 51!

I found myself mashing the 'E' button at the mine without realizing that I was out of energy. Some hint that energy is needed to mine would help.

Also, 393.63MB is really big for this game.

LD46 — Keep it alive

Super Rally by Fengol 2020-04-21T21:05:10Z

Like the others, I also found it hard to get the timing right. I thought it might be broken, but after enough tries, I did get the hang of it. I think it's a good difficulty level. I suspect that the ball hit mechanic is triggering on when the spacebar goes up. It may be more intuitive to have the ball hit when the spacebar goes down.

I really like that as levels progress, there's more and more happening on screen. Sparkles, background color, hearts. That's all really good. It made playing feel rewarding, though at around 10, there's a blur that obscures the player and the ball when it comes near. I found it distracting.

This was fun.

Oh! That's a Hare!! by metalfist213 2020-04-20T21:26:07Z

I like the premise, and I thought the art and shooting mechanics were spot on.

There are a few things that ruined the experience: - I wish there was some signal for how far in the level I've reached, and if it's infinite, maybe some points system. - The bear traps were hidden, so I had to shoot all of the bushes. - When the hare died, the level just resets. I found that confusing. It would help if there were an indicator that said that the hare died.

Nice to see that you're challenging yourself with a new engine. Good job.

Monster Love by Endurion 2020-04-20T19:11:36Z

Solid game. It had a good difficulty curve for me. I had to redo some levels, but I still managed to complete it in maybe 20 mins.

I liked the variety of critters and obstacles too. You would be able to create many more levels with just these mechanics without feeling repetitive.

Chrashsite by axelrinaldo 2020-04-20T13:07:49Z

The game felt really well balanced. I felt the pressure to keep the fire lit until later in the game, when it was strictly about getting the repair materials. Each upgrade felt like an accomplishment, especially since it relieved that pressure.

Despite it being written in the instructions, it took me a minute to recognize that I needed to rotate my character to chop trees - it also took me a minute to recognize what were trees. After the first few minutes it felt intuitive though. Some additional feedback would have been useful, since I found myself asking "What's this grey thing and why can't I chop it?"

I also appreciated the story text. It did a good job setting the tone and context.

it lives and grows by JulianMH 2020-04-20T22:24:21Z

This is a really nice game. The feel reminds me of Flower (where you play leaves in the wind) - it's so calming. The window scene and music set that tone nicely.

You really nailed the procedural plants. There were no strange plants that I encountered. They all made sense and looked nice. The plants also grew so smoothly. In general, performance wasn't an issue for me.

The mechanics were simple, but I still needed a minute to figure things out. I couldn't figure out if/how to sell the plants at first. Small money, but I was half way through before I realized that I could sell my old pots!

Really. Great job!

Omiga Daycare by Wheffle 2020-04-20T17:03:53Z

What a great idea! I really liked this. Eventually, I did consider franchising or at least hiring an employee.

TowerHeal by Orzak 2020-04-20T15:49:47Z

Defininely bang on the theme.

I like the concept. I think that this would be pretty fun if it had some tweaking.

The field level is too easy. I think that this type of level would be great with some balancing. I like that the garden level forces the player to route the patients.

I would have liked to have the instructions available in-game (at least what 1-5 did + enter). I couldn't remember them all. It wasn't easy to notice what was happening when doctors would interact with the patients. Maybe floating +1's would provide some helpful information.

Keep the beat alive by Dukes 2020-04-20T16:06:20Z

I've never played osu!, but I definitely liked this. It was a good challenge for me, but it started in a way that I could get familiar with the controls.

Treewatcher by xpost2000 2020-04-20T13:40:46Z

I'm also having issues. I re-downloaded after I saw the last post. The missing DLLs are now: - libportaudio-2.dll - libreadline8.dll

Treewatcher by xpost2000 2020-04-20T14:47:37Z

Yes! It works! Worth the wait.

It was a good take on the tower defense game. There was a good variety of turrets and enemies. The balance and difficulty curve were great.

I really like how the instructions are laid out like a briefing. It's clear and entertaining. Although in the game, I don't think that there's the instruction to press "Enter" to start.

The music was too repetitive.

Harvey Rideswell Wants a Puppy by Pincushion 2020-04-20T14:09:06Z

@tero-pulkkinen I appreciate the note. I'll look into that.

Robot's Best Friend by Frogravity 2020-04-20T20:12:19Z

I loved all the voice acting. It really helped to set the urgent tone. I appreciated the story, and how well the gameplay fit with it.

The controls felt good, and normal was a good difficulty for me. I made it through after maybe 10 deaths.

This was a great entry.

Magic Atoth by NiKaDra 2020-04-20T19:49:43Z

That was unexpected.

The virtual pet game looked really nice. The background was getting to be nauseating, but by the end I felt that it was important to be so bright and cheery. The tone for all parts was perfect.

The nighttime controls weren't obvious. I was never sure why doors wouldn't open. I got through by trial and error.

I missed how I (the pet owner) had access to all of that information, since I was a customer, and not one of the creators. Sense-making aside, it was super entertaining.

Ambulance chase by nick0124 creator 2020-04-20T15:07:38Z

It's a fun game, and I really like the idea. It's a little too easy though.

The ambulance drives well. The car's AI is good too. I liked the graphics, and it could really use some sound.

Uncle Dale's Farm by FatEagleGames 2020-04-20T17:24:54Z

"... just disappointed." Too funny.

The game looks good. I like the sound too. Fun game.

GolFISH by Willoftw 2020-04-20T16:24:20Z

This was really well done. It took me a minute to figure out how to play it, but once I got it, it was really fun. I'm a fan of the commentator and the dead fish jokes.

The game has a hidden control -> the shift key doubles the speed! Without this modifier, the game is really short. With it, I can do a few rounds.

I liked the concept and flying around was fun. I liked seeing the pollen cling to the bees - that's a nice touch.

I wasn't sure if there would be a goal or end. I like to feel like I'm working toward something.

There were a few bugs (pun not intended): - The game didn't scale well to my monitor (3440x1440 / 21:9), and I don't think that there was an option to play in Windowed mode. KIA-ultrawide.png - There's a big black square that appears centered on the screen during transitions.

Keep, It['s] Alive by Mad Scientist Carl 2020-04-25T12:31:29Z

This was fun. I thought that it was balanced well. It probably took me 10 mins to get the timing right to beat it.

I love the walking keep - though I imagine that everyone who was inside is now dead.

Since the walk is pretty slow, it might have been good to have some type of progress meter.

StarMart by LadislavOdstrcil 2020-04-20T16:49:31Z

This is a really nice looking game. The sounds are great. The intro is funny. I found it really difficult to survive until the first upgrade though. I seem to keep visiting a place named "loserville".

Well done.

The Soulkeeper by Camilo Quintero 2020-04-20T21:08:02Z

It's a really nice looking game. The music really fit the tone.

I especially liked the posession mechanic. It was really smooth.

I found the game too difficult. It felt like the ghosts were placing traps right on the people, and the ghosts move too quickly. So there was a bit of a helpless feeling.

Protect the Eye by penjami 2020-04-20T13:35:56Z

This was really fun. I really liked the physics, and it looked really cool. It had simple and intuitive controls.

I found that the difficulty ramped up a little too fast. It was simple and manageable for maybe a minute, then all of a sudden, like 5 times the stuff is hurling toward the eye.

The Cyclist Helper by Gediminas Gurskis 2020-04-20T16:13:22Z

Great idea. It works well, and even though it was just a demo, I had fun. This mechanic could be taken pretty far to produce a cool game.

Bug Smashers! (HTML5) by Plopmenz 2020-04-20T15:59:49Z

"Oh no, the game can't handle all these bu-..." followed by a moment of clarity.

It was a really cute idea. The shooting and movement felt really good.

Organ Simulator by mneubrand 2020-04-20T20:24:37Z

This was super hard. Managing a bunch of organs with the mouse - I was afraid to tend to the liver!

It was executed well. The organs really felt alive, while they were alive.

Nice idea.

LD47 — Stuck in a loop

LoopyDraw by sanojian 2020-10-12T18:41:52Z

This is a very nice surprise, and it's such a great idea. Also the actual drawing works well. It's so easy to use.

I really find it interesting what was done with the circle slices. I'm a fan of that spider.

What Goes In Must Come Out by SimplePotential 2020-10-07T00:34:23Z

The game's pretty easy if you eat purple. Those greens don't give enough energy to live on. I found that if I eat enough purple, I can have it with a side of brown.

Good job making 3 colours of squares fun. Also, it's cool that you tried something new.

Rail Gun by jharler 2020-10-05T18:17:43Z

This was good all around. Good music. Good graphics.

I appreciate the variety of targets and loops. The game was fun until the end.

Beet Roots by cogcomp 2020-10-06T23:47:56Z

I agree with the others. It's a lot like lemmings, and I think the world needs more of it. This was very well done. I like the variety of tools and obstacles. I'm guessing that the + and - were meant to change the beet speed, and I would have really appreciated that. There were some long stretches in there that I would have sped up.

WireTap by Dingbat 2020-10-07T22:45:48Z

This is a fun puzzle with a bunch of potential. I really liked it.

That first turret really startled me. I didn't see it coming. The levels progressed well. The only instruction I needed was that I had to click on wires.

Well done!

Get Stuck In The Loop by el-pepi 2020-10-11T22:52:01Z

The movement felt really good. It was pretty hard to get a hang of the wall running though, and because of that, I really appreciated how short the time was between falling and playing again.

It was fun. I wish there were more levels.

Bugs Must Die by adjo 2020-10-05T16:15:56Z

I liked that the player joins in on the shooting! Nice variety of traps and mobs. It's pretty challenging, but not frustratingly challenging. All in all, well done.

On the Run by dusho 2020-10-12T21:03:25Z

That was a lot of art and different obstacles. The hamster movement was great. It was fun. Well done.

On the Phone (2020) by Linus Lindberg 2020-10-05T17:54:02Z

I wonder what's keeping him up? I second the call for this to be a live wallpaper.

The "press space" instruction was hidden until night. I needed to cheat and press "P" to find out.

I appreciate the unique entry. Well done.

Loopy The Robot by blubberquark 2020-10-05T13:31:48Z

This was fun.

It was a good challenge. I managed to complete all of the levels aside from Abyss. I appreciated the level select. It allowed me to experience the entire game.

I enjoyed the dialogue at the start too.

Well done.

Magical Girl Storms The Castle by dracominer 2020-10-05T13:55:52Z

This game reminds me of playing a healer in MMOs. I managed to beat it on easy. I also thought that jkl were better keys (my first few rounds my had would naturally slip to them).

It was fun. I do like what you had planned too. Some good ideas there.

Alice by Michael Feldman 2020-10-12T14:50:50Z

This was fun. It's good all around.

Very good music. It sets a nice tone.

There are many levels, but I found that they were too easy. I wish the difficulty ramped up a bit more than it did by the end.

The level editor works well too. I had to try it: ``` -0.5%-4.5%0%0%$0.5%-4.5%0%0%$1.5%-4.5%0%0%$2.5%-4.5%0%0%$3.5%-4.5%2%315%$4.5%-4.5%0%0%$-3.5%-3.5%1%0%$-0.5%-3.5%0%0%$0.5%-3.5%0%0%$2.5%-3.5%1%0%$4.5%-3.5%0%0%$-0.5%-2.5%0%0%$1.5%-2.5%0%0%$2.5%-2.5%0%0%$3.5%-2.5%2%0%$4.5%-2.5%0%0%$-4.5%-1.5%1%0%$-0.5%-1.5%0%0%$0.5%-1.5%0%0%$1.5%-1.5%0%0%$2.5%-1.5%0%0%$3.5%-1.5%0%0%$4.5%-1.5%0%0%$-0.5%-0.5%0%0%$1.5%-0.5%0%0%$3.5%-0.5%2%270%$-3.5%0.5%2%90.00001%$-0.5%0.5%1%0%$0.5%0.5%0%0%$2.5%0.5%0%0%$4.5%0.5%0%0%$-0.5%1.5%0%0%$0.5%1.5%0%0%$1.5%1.5%0%0%$2.5%1.5%0%0%$3.5%1.5%0%0%$4.5%1.5%0%0%$-0.5%2.5%0%0%$4.5%2.5%3%0%$-4.5%3.5%2%135%$-0.5%3.5%2%180%$0.5%3.5%0%0%$1.5%3.5%0%0%$2.5%3.5%0%0%$3.5%3.5%0%0%$4.5%3.5%0%0%$ ```

Hell Ring by Jajakeim 2020-10-08T23:31:47Z

Nice of hell to give you a weapon. With the music, it's a pretty cool experience.

The Loop by PhillSerrazina 2020-10-09T00:06:32Z

Cute game. I like the format. It also looks really good.

Pumpkalanes by epb9000 2020-10-09T00:43:13Z

I also tried to eat everything before looking for my amazing score. With the perspective, it was hard to determine if I would hit a pumpkin or not. A top view would make this clearer. After a few loops, I did get a feel for it though.

Well done.

Vortex Loop by TheCze 2020-10-10T23:16:29Z

Cool game. The flying and orbits feel good. It's nice and challenging too. I would have liked some type of goal or score.

Infinity testing room by TheGreenMan 2020-10-06T00:20:28Z

This is the first FPS I've seen in a while.

The mouse sensitivity is way too low. My wrist was moving a lot for each fight. Aside from that the controls felt good. The reloading was perfect. I think that hitbox for the robots is small, but it still felt right. I liked how health worked and the reddened screen that went with it. The level was organized well too.

I did find it a little too repetitive. It probably wouldn't have felt that way if looking around wasn't so frustrating.

On the note of the bug fix. I think that game-breaking bug fixes are generally accepted. Thanks for fixing it, so I could get an ending.

Good job.

Little Sun Road Trip by Lu7cie 2020-10-05T13:00:53Z

I noticed that, in one instance, a nearby planet was also affected. I couldn't figure out where else this was possible. Either way, I think it's a nice mechanic that adds complexity.

I appreciated the option to continue, since the game was then about how many loops before I green all of the planets. I managed to convert 14 in a single loop.

Nice presentation and clear instructions too. Good work.

Impact Juggling by TheWustache 2020-10-05T17:27:45Z

Great idea to fit the theme. It's simple, but fun. The leader board sets a nice goal.

The Daily Grind by Basileios 2020-10-05T18:43:08Z

The gameplay was simple, but it was well done. I like how life was a series of minigames. The short amount of time per task kept it interesting.

Nice pixel art too, though there wasn't much time to appreciate it.

Grinding Gears by Pincushion 2020-10-05T14:49:07Z

@simplepotential @indiequest @gingerbill @wakobu @sanjuro @mvasko2 Thanks so much for playing and providing feedback.

I also thought that the camera was disorienting, but I couldn't think of a solution in time. I have an idea now, but time's up!

Grinding Gears by Pincushion 2020-10-05T21:11:48Z

@lombax Thanks for the feeback. Yeah, I really liked the theme. When "Stuck in a loop" was chosen, I tried to do both :)

Grinding Gears by Pincushion 2020-10-07T00:07:48Z

@games-by-tom I think I'll try that camera approach to see how it'll look, at least for my own education. Thanks for the suggestion.

@madbookstudios Thank you so much!

Lazy River Racing by sacredbacon 2020-10-12T21:21:38Z

Had fun. The character select was a nice touch.

After finding an alternate ending, I started looking for more hidden things. In the house? Under the fisherman? Nothing.

Spiiin by Temulgeh 2020-10-08T23:37:16Z

Good stuff. I just want more. More levels, and some sound. The spin mechanic feels really good.

IT Guy by Thooom 2020-10-05T19:02:09Z

Simple, but well done. I like the hand-drawn style. I like that the bug splat uncovering too. I wanted to see it all.

F=g(m1m2/d^2) by mungobulge 2020-10-05T15:51:27Z

It's so simple. The answer is in the name!

This was pretty fun. It looks really good. I felt that the solutions were too random, and I would have liked more planet slingshotting :)

The final loop by IndieQuest 2020-10-05T15:06:13Z

I liked the game, and judging by your other comments, I like the vision. It looked and felt good. It was a bit too easy though.

Tower of Time by CodeRaurus 2020-10-05T14:40:45Z

Fun game. It was a good level of difficulty. The controls felt good.

I like the progress bar. It let me know how close I was all those times I didn't make it. The Lord's frustration animation was a nice touch too.

Assembly Loop by mjbelanic 2020-10-12T00:14:09Z

I liked the race to assemble the robots. The timer per blueprint was a nice touch. The assembly, pickup and dropping of items worked well. The game was fun.

Though, I couldn't figure out what "errors" were. If felt like all of a sudden, the game was over, and I didn't know why.

Terraform Express by Josh Roby 2020-10-05T17:18:31Z

Great idea and execution. It looks good too. The controls feel really smooth, but I kept mixing up the buttons.

Trash Loop by Thijmen Fickweiler 2020-10-05T15:27:00Z

Congratulations on your first entry.

I like the game loop (and it is quite loopy), but I felt like there was some planned progression and I couldn't get to it. I was picking up trashcans and garbage bags. In the store, I saw that there were two more slots. I hoped to progress to them, but it never happened. The same goes for the stuff to buy. I also didn't understand what the stuff in the shop did.

Why so few rating categories? That song is stuck in my head and there's nowhere to rate audio.

Good job.

Space Police Simulator Platinum by Future Labs Unlimited 2020-10-05T23:26:21Z

I love all the dialogue. It's hilarious. It turns out that space people think I'm not a good police officer.

Well done on the space people too. They look great.

Loop Racer by Games_by_Tom 2020-10-05T21:50:37Z

Definitely stuck in a loop and then another. The first level is a good training round, but I found that when obstacles were added, it was so tough. It was a neat mechanic to change loops to the nearest goal. That messed me up a few times when I thought that I was going to line up with another goal. Good stuff.

Dwarven Delve by fronwewq 2020-10-05T22:57:46Z

Nice take on match 3s. The conveyor belt game was a nice addition. I also found that I occasionally couldn't move a row when I expected. Well done.

LD48 — Deeper and deeper

Descent by Iak 2021-05-04T23:14:11Z

It was oddly chill. I was waiting for a jump scare. Nice trees. Had fun.

Dwarven Surveyor by Jimbly 2021-04-26T19:43:22Z

Fun game. It was a good take on the minesweeper style. I appreciate the scoreboard too!

Boundless Depths by ping78 2021-05-04T00:12:58Z

Good idea with the omnidirecitonal drill on wheels. It worked well. I like how this game looks. The drill's headlights had a nice effect. Finding stuff was a little too far in between for me. Well done!

The Reverse of the Summit by squigglez 2021-04-26T14:46:55Z

Fun and straight forward gameplay. It's a good difficulty for a jam game. It's easy enough to get started, but still pretty challenging. The music went well with the game too.

I agree with the comment above: "Easy to click out of the window though". Aside from that, controls felt good.

Looking forward, consider adding ski jumps :)

Puzzles All the Way Down by Triastase 2021-04-29T21:56:00Z

I really like the format. It looks good and the controls feel good. That spinny circle thing was neat.

I think that if there were more puzzles, more challenging puzzles, and a like dhim wrote, a sense of progression, this could be a pretty fun game.

LD48: Down the Rabbit Hole by LMB 2021-04-27T23:47:24Z

This was fun. Well balanced. The ore was so worth it that I'd risk missing the drill. The timer beep saved me a few times. It's a nice touch.

Well done!

Gardner Lake by AdonisDevs 2021-04-28T20:37:44Z

You did a very good job with the mood. I liked the bubble minigame + narrative format. The bubbles were a good difficulty, but I made it through. I really enjoyed this.

Deep Rescue by johnnyjw 2021-05-03T23:07:59Z

Cute sprites and nice animation. The game felt too short though. I think the timer could have lasted longer, and more levels would have been good.

Jupiter Drop by plexium.nerd 2021-04-27T22:45:46Z

I didn't notice the buttons, so it took me a minute to see how to play. I also thing the game's a little too passive. When I get the ball into the sweet spot, I wait for a few minutes.

I liked searching for a spot that would make gains. Dropping into Jupiter looked cool.

With a little more to do, I think this could have been fun. I like where you were going with it.

Octopus Diver by Voxel Forest 2021-04-27T23:15:04Z

I like the cute look. The point and click swimming was good. It needs more obstacles though.

Drill goes brrrr! by BOOtak 2021-04-27T22:04:23Z

Yeah, this was a time warp. Nicely done. I wanted to buy everything, though I didn't notice much difference between the upgrades.

Dungeon Diver by Caue Henrique 2021-04-26T18:15:50Z

I like the mechanic. It works well. It's a good level of difficulty, since it took a handful of tries to make it to the bottom. Nice animations too. It's fun.

Deepwater Settlement by Pincushion 2021-04-26T14:53:37Z

@kristinamay @john-harper @benjamin123 @rufusdrop @scienitive Thanks for the feedback and suggestions.

@john-harper I noticed the stacked settler problem too. I was going to have them wander left/right, but I had to cut many corners. Thanks for that.

For future players, you'll get the most plastic in the top layer fish, and the more and more food as you go deeper.

Deepwater Settlement by Pincushion 2021-04-26T15:47:39Z

@squigglez Thanks for the feedback. Starving seems to be a common comment. The game needs some balancing.

Deepwater Settlement by Pincushion 2021-04-29T21:26:34Z

@voxel-forest Thanks. I'm glad you liked it! It definitely needs.. more.

@lmb Thanks for taking so much time to play my game. I appreciate all of this feedback. I cut so many corners that I must agree that I'd have done so much more in 2d. Also, I appreciate a good pun :)

Gone Diggin' by XeduR 2021-04-26T14:08:39Z

I like to overall aesthetic, especially the mine shaft that i was digging out. Nice decision to have the time start after picking 3 gold. I could plan a strong starting point. The infinite dig is pretty neat too!

Space Oddities by Ben Yazi 2021-04-29T22:19:00Z

Nicely done. It took a few tries to get the hang of it. It was challenging until I found a good rhythm.

I saw your note about the minion's "generation property". It's not clear exactly what that number means.

Cecil & Dawson Asylum by AdamWatters 2021-04-26T18:46:14Z

I'm glad came across entry. I really enjoyed walking through the story. The sound worked well to set the mood, but it was a little immersion-breaking when the short clips repeated.

MilCo. by MikoziQ 2021-05-02T22:06:37Z

Overall this is pretty good. I feel like you have the hard stuff in. It needs more elements. Your instructions include "take care of Moo-moos", and I think that's a good next step.

I like the UI / models. It looks good, and it's easy to see what's there. It didn't take long to understand the mechanics. I had fun learning them.

Titan Spear by Zackavelli 2021-05-03T22:39:09Z

I really enjoyed this. The music and chants went really well together. The story, tutorial, intro animation was all entertaining. It was very challenging for me. For now, I only pierced two hearts. I think it's the right amount of things to worry about (obstacles, power ups, chants). You nailed it.

It took me a few tries and a reread to figure out the controls. I didn't know I could move the mouse on the first two.

FYI for those with ultrawide monitors. Create a shortcut and add these parameters after the executable: "-screen-width 1920 -screen-height 1080". It should work with any Unity game.

Altum Square by Ennacirruh 2021-04-26T17:04:55Z

Cool idea. It could definitely use other elements, but I think the core mechanic is pretty fun. It did get easy once I stopped mixing up the ball movement from the tile controls.

LLYULANG by Scienitive 2021-04-26T15:43:11Z

Modes: Hard, Expert - Where's my eazy mode!

The skills worked really well together. They all had a real purpose, and I felt good when I used them effectively. I wanted to get good at the game. For now, I can only make it to the second section on hard - for some reason, my scores are double what I see in that second-level screenshot though.

I appreciate the enhanced music for expert mode. On that note, no sound rating?

Well done!

Am I only dreaming? by DerGamer 2021-04-26T16:08:23Z

I second Mastoast's comment. I really liked that you voice acted the parts, but I couldn't hear all of the dialogue.

The mood was set really well. The piano and dark setting really worked.

The platforming and puzzles were very easy, which is good for players to learn mechanics, but a few more levels with increased difficulty would be good.

Robo-Driller by Famicon80 2021-05-02T22:59:36Z

This is a good challenge. Really good mix of deadlies. So many ways to die. It was very challenging for me, but I still was able to play well into the caveman area. The falling/moving blocks added so much too. I like how gems were freed when falling from enough height. It was always fun to see the monsters get squished.

The Descent for Knowledge by Stewmega 2021-04-26T19:18:00Z

This is a very good. The graphics and animations are nice. The controls felt good. I liked like that there were different ways to get to places, including at least one secret.

The music loop is really repetitive. Dying is so punishing since the player has to restart at the top. I would have liked respawn points.

Sub_Mission by Chyrion 2021-05-02T18:16:45Z

I liked exploring, though it felt pretty linear. More and deeper caves would be a nice addition. It was satisfying to find new things. The upgrades were well worth the effort to get them.

The boat's controls were good. I like that the light comes on when diving. It's a nice touch.

Going back to the shop took too long, that was the game's weak point for me, though I liked jumping out of the water when I resurfaced.

Help! I'm trapped in an arcade factory! by negabyte 2021-04-26T18:02:16Z

I really enjoyed this. Nice execution.

LD49 — Unstable

Overloaded Server by kbf123 2021-10-04T23:52:01Z

Cute game. Cute Byte! I experienced it differently by difficulty level. On medium, once I got a good rhythm it became pretty repetitive. I thought the game was too basic, since I didn't encounter much other than hungry patrons. On hard, I kept losing control after rebooting, then losing, and I'm not sure why. It kept me occupied. If I could keep control, that'd be the sweet spot for me. On the custom night, I saw a popup which I thought was great, but it was way too hard for me.

It's fun. I like basically all of it, but it's too unstable for me. Oh, I love that pressing space mashed the in-game keyboard.

Fission Horse in The Escape From the Condemned Stables by nanolotl 2021-10-04T22:33:21Z

Well done! It has a good mix of obstacles. The levels are tuned well. I couldn't save Herman though. That sea of bombs had me raging.

Stronkey Kong by 100th_Coin 2021-10-06T20:48:06Z

I like it! It's nice and polished. The building was fun. It gave a nice sense of progression too. It took me a while to figure out when and where things could be placed, but it makes sense in hindsight.

Beep Boop Boba by candlesan 2021-10-04T16:09:02Z

Well done. It has a really nice and polished feel. The stations worked well - never a missed click. It was tough, but doable. I had that frantic feeling, especially during that last level. It's well balanced for a quick play. My one nitpick was that the unstable machine button wasn't obvious to me. All stations had a hover effect, but that sign didn't.

Unstable Marbles by Marc Grabow 2021-10-04T13:38:10Z

Nice bouncy physics. Some levels are hard to even make it through. Level 2 was a "forget the balls, just finish" level. I really appreciated the level select, since after going through, I really wanted to retry some obstacles. Nice execution.

I encountered a slowdown seconds before crossing the level 5 flag. Not sure if it was intended, but it created a photo finish feel :)

Roboturai by Be3n2 2021-10-07T19:54:31Z

On the great debate, I liked that the cost of missing was falling, then having to mash q. It's a mechanic that I haven't seen yet in the jam, and I think it works. The control felt good. It was fun to get the hang of it. It could definitely use another boss though.

Changes by Michael Feldman 2021-10-04T17:33:48Z

It's simple but solid. I like the variety of blocks and their accompanying story. The controls were smooth and intuitive. It could use a few more levels using the existing blocks. The game played like a good introduction for the game to come.

GONZO ALCHEMY! by kristinamay 2021-10-04T22:07:55Z

This is a pretty big game. There's a lot to uncover. There's lots of entertaining text, which was my favourite part, and tons of combinations. Nice looking shop too. I found the music to be really repetitive. I wish ingredients came by more easily. I think the controls are intuitive, but the font is sometimes hard to read.

Home Renos Inc. by Pincushion 2021-10-04T14:30:20Z

@iluvatar @gus-the-shark @shp @guine @florianbald Thanks so much for playing guys!

@florianbald Oh there are bugs. I'm glad you didn't see any :)

@shp I was worried about that. I spent much of Sunday trying add/change things to make it more intuitive. I had some troubles making it usable with a free camera. The 4 positions was a fallback. I appreciate the feedback.

Home Renos Inc. by Pincushion 2021-10-05T23:34:23Z

@sslees @fakefirefly Where can blocks be stacked was an ongoing question for me. Late in the compo, I decided that walls only was simplest, and avoided players blocking themselves in. Thanks for the comments. This was on my mind.

@djcoil I wanted all blocks on other floors to be transparent. I had some struggles with the block materials. Good tip about smaller blocks.

@michael-feldman The countdown didn't start until ok was clicked until a few hours before submission time. That's a late-compo bug. Physics were a Friday plan too, but I dropped it when cutting scope.

@furfel I went into it thinking of Tetris and Jenga. Lego works too :)

Thanks for the great feedback guys!

Equilibrium by freeworld 2021-10-06T21:23:40Z

Neat idea. The levels felt very similar, though they did progressively get more challenging. I had trouble remembering which key controlled which axis. The controls otherwise felt good. It's pretty fun for such a simple game.

Crumbling Down by JustCallMeBB 2021-10-06T20:21:44Z

Fun game. The puzzles were challenging. That second to last one took me a bunch of tries. The glue was a nice mechanic. I liked playing with the keyboard alone. It would have been nice to glue without using the mouse.

Totally Stable Docking Simulator by mlkvr 2021-10-05T00:31:58Z

The movement and docking were pleasant, just slowly bringing them in. Well done there. There were a few things that wouldn't dock, and I didn't know why though. Nice explosions.

The Pearl Thief by Furfel 2021-10-04T18:43:50Z

Cool idea. World of Alpacas - yes! The instability effects were just super. The kraken often was too fast for me to get to him, but aside from that, it's pretty solid.

How (Not) To Defuse Bombs by Reiqy 2021-10-04T22:55:48Z

You've got the bones for a full game if you do decide to go for it. It's a great concept, and it works well. I didn't know why turning one wheel would affect another though. It'd also be nice to see the current flow.

Ropy Woply Doo by Jackaljk 2021-10-06T21:44:23Z

The tightrope walking was great. It's pretty fun. The camera rotations really sold the wobbling, as others said. Those cannons messed me up every time. I could barely manage before being shot at. Fun sounds of course :)

Hopper Unstable by Castoor 2021-10-06T23:12:04Z

It looks really nice. The mechanics are nice too, but they need more levels to shine! Still, good job.

Charon by EthanKessler 2021-10-04T18:18:48Z

Beautiful start screen and music. Cool idea. I had a hard time getting and managing barrels. The balancing act was fun, but tough. They're pretty... unstable. I kept jumping off the boat reaching for falling barrels. It might benefit from providing more barrels at the beginning to ease the player into it.

Luna's Painful Pastel Promenade by GuessImLuna 2021-10-06T00:19:11Z

This was really fun! The jumping and level was well tuned. I noticed that there were some platforms in positions to catch the player so the player doesn't fall too far. That's some pretty thoughtful level design. Though, I'd fall from the catch sometimes and fall further...

Bridge is Out by sslees 2021-10-12T23:36:52Z

I like this. The controls and physics felt really good. The stacking was really fun. As others mentioned, I could spam my way out of anything. This game could use some type of score to incentivize efficiency.

Insecurobot by Xinera 2021-10-06T22:50:55Z

It was fun for a while. I liked the unstable temperature effects. I died both with it to hot and too cold, so I'd say the balance was right. The gun had a satisfying pew! I found that after a while, the freeze things become obstacles too. So I was avoiding bombs and freezer drops. Though I did end up running in circles toward the bottom of the map. Nice and polished. Good stuff.

LD51 — Every 10 seconds

Der Schließmuskel by OddballDave 2022-10-08T20:04:30Z

Definitely nailed the eerie feeling. Sounds and music really added to it. I like how you're hit with that weird parallax effect on the start screen. The game feels too slow though. 10s for QC might be better if there was something else to do in this time. Maybe the player could bounce the food around to test for liveliness? Also a running score would help too.

10 Seconds To Avoid Death by jk5000 2022-10-06T16:56:23Z

Loved the game show vibe. Loved the voice acting, it was fun. Nice minimal look too.

WeaponSwitcher by Rialgar 2022-10-08T20:44:29Z

That gets really tough at the end, but I finally did it. It takes a little bit to figure out what the symbols mean (the gun, progress, gun timer, gun temperature, shockwave timer), since the tutorial only includes l/r mouse. It would be useful to add that stuff to the tutorial.

You did a lot with circles and triangles here. The enemies were pretty varied, and I can strategize based on the size + type of circle. That's really well done. The player's cracks to indicate lives were a nice touch. The weapon heat vs enemies coming were well balanced. There's a lot of strategy required to beat this, balancing between the enemy proximity and the tools at your disposal. On top of looking cool, the enemy remains show a history of how I played. I see how far away I chose to kill the enemies, and I used that to tweak my playstyle to eventually beat the game. Well done.

Cursed Hotel by mvasko2 2022-10-04T21:49:46Z

This was pretty fun. Controls were great. Cute intro. I didn't notice that I could hire more employees until the % was sinking. I should have read your tips first. It could use another element, like another type of employee, different type of cracks, etc. Maybe a sanity meter so the player can hire a therapist :)

Cascading Failures by stuffedgravy 2022-10-03T16:04:57Z

I really like how the component effects impact the player: can only see asteroids when navigating, can only see inside when lights are on, etc. It really makes the game. I really felt like the components were all valuable, even though there are many. As others wrote, it was tough to walk through the ship.

Junk Seller by kimau 2022-10-06T20:33:18Z

Gutsy move to use an alpha version, but I think it turned out. I liked the feel of rustling through the pieces to get the ones I needed, and seeing other parts fly around. Cute aesthetic too. The start button/scoreboard is pretty cool - I like how it's part of the scene. I liked that the matching requests varied in type, like colour or shape, so the parts could be used in different ways. The game would benefit from some guidance, like a tutorial, or even an instruction screen. I figured it out after a few rounds though.

10 Steps to Elysium - Sword Practice by ghostbomb 2022-10-03T23:52:38Z

Nice take on the theme. This is pretty fun. It can definitely be expanded on e.g. music and some more mechanics. This makes me curious about this original scope you wrote about. For 48hrs, this is great.

Shimash by thedashdude 2022-10-04T16:42:05Z

I love this idea. Nicely done too. Easy to understand mechanics. Smooth controls. Might be useful to show which minigames are still in rotation.

Motor Dime by Ale 2022-10-03T19:07:19Z

This was fun. I wonder if that ramp can be used as a shortcut. It's fun to take, but I don't like running for my bike. This could use some music. Also, that tomato sculpture is something special. Falling is so painful, so I go slow and steady :)

10 Second Pizza Delivery by hungryroy 2022-10-06T16:34:47Z

You set out to implement platformer things, and I think you did it well. The player movement and monsters feel very mario-like. The bonus stars, effectively adding a hard mode, are a nice touch. There's a nice variety of levels and a good progression of mechanics. The music is very on theme, since it loops every 10s.

Seconds These Days by indigo 2022-10-03T17:11:01Z

It's a fun puzzle game. As somnium wrote, that's too much math for too little time. I can get through a few rounds, but I need to restart frequently. Thanks for posting the intro text. In game it was to fast, but aside from the timing, it's a fun intro. I like the format of the game in general and it works well. The music/sound effects set a nice mood too.

Destroy Blocks by mdotedot 2022-10-03T14:33:15Z

This was fun. Every time I lose, I want to try again to beat it (and I did, yay!). Clean interface. I would have liked a counter for the destroyed rows. When dragging short blocks over other blocks, it's sometimes hard to see where the dragged block is.

Chain Destruction by Schuster 2022-10-05T21:22:33Z

Great music. I like the simple controls. I wish the chain explosion range was bigger, since I had a hard time finding them close enough go chain. The explosions were satisfying, but bigger explosions would be better too. Also I liked that you can push the bombs around.

Freight Frenzy by lbrande 2022-10-03T18:46:19Z

The boats coming in and out is a nice twist on block placement games. I found it pretty difficult. I managed 4 pieces about half the time. The game could really use some sound. Had fun.

dragabee by mcovert 2022-10-03T18:23:56Z

Love the puns. This game is very cute. Nice looking, sweet music. The dragging / placing felt good. The sound effect on the drop added to that feeling. The pause menu diagrams were very helpful. I like the start menu too: "these buttons don't work, oh! I need to drag-a-bee".. wonderful.

The 10 Seconds Game by wormius 2022-10-07T20:33:47Z

This is hillarious. Great idea. I had to zoom in to beat it.

Manta Fighter by Pincushion 2022-10-03T13:40:26Z

@aaron-smith @thegamearchitect I was wondering if the player needed more visibility. @mdotedot The controls were trickier than I had anticipated. I was wondering if the ship v ship fights were still too hard.

Thanks for the feedback.

Manta Fighter by Pincushion 2022-10-03T16:14:14Z

@indigo The stopping didn't even cross my mind. That's a good point. Thanks for all that feedback.

Manta Fighter by Pincushion 2022-10-03T19:41:43Z

@alex-covert @ale The controls were definitely hard for me to get right (or working at all). I Actually started with mapping to the surface normal, but I had other issues. The roll-only buttons idea helps. Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback.

Manta Fighter by Pincushion 2022-10-04T21:20:55Z

@chromaphase Thanks for giving me a game to look up.

@thedashdude I was wondering what to do with the player hitting the planet. In hindsight, I think it would have been best to just prevent the player from hitting it.

@eugenik I'm glad you liked it :)

Appreciate the feedback!

Manta Fighter by Pincushion 2022-10-05T21:28:23Z

@jaykayey @schuster Controls seem to be an issue for a lot of players, so this feedback is very useful.

@undermountain Every jam I tell myself that I'll release a polished game and every jam I overscope. One day I'll get that right. I heard about that bug. Thanks for playing enough to exploit it :)

Thanks for the comments.

Manta Fighter by Pincushion 2022-10-07T17:09:25Z

@hungryroy Visibility and awkward controls came up a lot in the comments. I think I need to work on something to help players orient themselves. It's clear to me that enemy fighter fighting just needed more work. Definitely needs a restart button.

@boodbarbak I couldn't tweak the controls enough.

@wormius It's because I couldn't think of a better key :) Thanks for mentioning it.

@mooptychunk I'm glad you liked it! If the cheating made it more fun then it was an intended secret mechanic :)

@vetche-studio Thanks! I really wish I would have spent 30 minutes getting any music in.

I'll be working on the controls post-compo for the next game I make that needs it. Your comments are very helpful. Thanks!

Hyper V-Ball by Mooptychunk 2022-10-08T14:17:11Z

This is a really impressive entry. Nicely polished. It looks really great. Nice animations and colour choices that really make you feel the action. It's really fun too.

It took me a bit to get the hang of it, but then that AI didn't see me coming :muscle: :volleyball: :

hypervball.PNG

If I were to pick at it a bit, as others wrote, I felt a little locked when jumping. The way it is, there's a little more foresight needed, and that's good too, but I often wanted to move a little bit to get to the ball after I've jumped.

Ev'ry's 10 Second Adventure! by José Bonilla 2022-10-06T21:37:35Z

Played the compo version. I see that my issues were already fixed post-compo (those nasty cannons). I've seen this type of game before in LD, but this one's especially good.

There's so much to like here. The tutorials are helpful and fun. The level select and overview of the gems acquired is nice if I want to complete the basics then go back for the gems. The programming mechanic is so pleasant to use (mouse wheel was a good choice). Watching Ev'ry go (and hopefully make it to the finish) is entertaining. Nice animations. The music's great too. It's super calming.

Sometimes I make it to the finish when I'm trying things out, but I want to get all of the gems. Since I finished, the instructions get wiped out and I need to reprogram Ev'ry. It'd be nice to have a "continue" option, rather than a clean restart.

HeartBeat by chromaphase 2022-10-04T16:26:53Z

Really short, but it's so well done. The fade in/out, sounds, voice acting all set a great tone. Spot on.

J-Menuing by nyxkn 2022-10-03T19:35:22Z

It's simple, but fun. Those shuffles really get me. The music is nice too.

Needy Pixel Kitties by Aaron Smith 2022-10-03T14:57:03Z

I think I met my adorable quota for LD51. This is such a nice and polished game. Clear instructions, smooth controls, really nice feedback though animation and sounds. The gold cat/superpower adds a lot to the fun.

So they met. So they talked. by batkoi 2022-10-06T21:50:31Z

I feel like the story is building on something I don't know about. Regardless, the feel of the game is really neat. I'm not sure what you did, but I think you did a good job doing *it*.

Shaking Robots Revenge by UnderMountain 2022-10-04T21:12:56Z

This game's nice and polished. It looks good. The controls/weapons felt really good. The three weapons were each satisfying to use in their own way. The weapon's timer bar is both nice looking and informative. I felt like the game was a little too simple though. The game would benefit from more variety. Maybe some obstacles to help the different weapons shine? I also noticed that the waves get bigger and bigger. Maybe have something to indicate this progression.

Betrayed by greenphox 2022-10-03T13:04:00Z

You really nailed the minimalist feel. It looks so simple, but it feels so complete. The friend-enemy switch every 10s was a really good idea for this theme. The controls/movement felt natural too. The friend-enemy switch mixed with the self-inflicted bullet dodging is all the complexity that I want from a casual play. Well done!

Cheat or Lose by Vetche Studio 2022-10-08T18:17:28Z

Great idea. So many ways to cheat, though it took me a while to notice them. I love how you can see the moods of the other players on their faces. The list of achievements is cool too.

Killer Colour by FootLettuce 2022-10-03T13:31:28Z

Really nice art. I love the contrast between the green natural state and the bright corruption state. The beckon messages were a nice touch. I had some minor issues with controls. There was a slight stutter when moving, and I wasn't always sure if my click registered (another reason why the beckon messages were great). I also liked how the scoreboard was separated by animals, because stats are nice.

Aberration by waterfowler 2022-10-03T17:53:12Z

This was fun. Nice story. Sad ending. The influencer text is great. I appreciate the progress bar showing when you'll be influenced. It encourages some strategic leaps through areas of influence. The minigame is a nice change of tone per level too.

Black Zen White by BoOdbarbak 2022-10-07T20:50:55Z

Cute game, and with a bonus level too! The puzzles were fun. They were just the right difficulty. Nice take on the theme. The movements felt right. The graphics were simple, but they looked good and polished. Adorable sounds too.

Collect in 10 by dUmMy432 2022-10-03T17:34:11Z

The game did start and it runs smoothly. It fits the theme, but I think there should penalty for doing nothing by the time the timer runs out. A goal per round might work. e.g. pick 2 mushrooms. But on the other hand, you have a stress-free mushroom picking game.

What's Under The Teapot? by thegamearchitect 2022-10-03T14:06:17Z

Good take on spot the difference. I like this type of game, and I don't see it often. The controls work well in general, however it was sometimes hard to click on items, since they were small, and the collider is smaller than the plate (I think). The camera slider is nice touch. Also nice art. The scene really sells the game.

Herocide by GCRexx 2022-10-07T19:59:50Z

Cool idea. Nice animations too. There's a nice variety of characters and levels here. The characters really do feel different, and I like that the levels are designed for their strengths, even though I don't think there's a level that can only be beaten by only one of the characters. Condor is definitely my favourite. The triple jump is fun. I think the rules of the lazer need to be more clear. It took me a while to recognize that I avoid the lazer by not moving. Also, I appreciate the level selection.

Sunfall by chemicalcrux 2022-10-06T20:56:02Z

Fun game and it looks very nice too. Really nice use of effects. Nice variety of obstacles. The *tink* sound when skimming the obstacles was a really nice touch. The game flickered for me from time to time, black screen and no sound for a split second.

Lights Out by jaykayey 2022-10-05T16:47:45Z

The music and sound do so much work here. It's so spooky. I really like the piano when you spot the baddie. I noticed that if you hug the baddie when the lights go out, it leaves you alone. It just wants a friend I guess. This really needs an option to restart the level, since it's kind of difficult. I made it to level 03 once. Might be interesting if we heard the baddie's footsteps as it approached.

Split-Second Darkness by Edtg 2022-10-05T22:24:01Z

Great game. It was pretty hard. Nice challenging puzzles. Could use some music. Might be nice if the wires would show that they were active.

LD52 — Harvest

Crops Survivor by tanis 2023-01-09T15:27:31Z

The leaderboards were broken for me too. I played the Windows version.

I liked how I could fall off the map to die. It's the quiet baddie. Good choice of power-ups. I could feel their impact, but they weren't overpowered. I would have liked some way to see how much health the plants had, to help strategize. It was a good challenge to keep the plants in order, since they kept spawning all over the map, so I think you struck a good balance between the map and enemy spawning. That, with the timing of the attacks, made for a fun experience.

Growin' Ballistic by alaah 2023-01-09T22:01:55Z

Great game. There's a good selection of veggies to chose from. I appreciated their different abilities. It's a nice looking game too.

It would have been nice to know which wave I was on, what was coming in the current wave, and what the wave's progress. The scrollable window was too small for me. That's just being nit picky though. Really, well done.

Growin' Ballistic by alaah 2023-01-09T22:42:26Z

I use 3440x1440 (ultrawide), but I played in windowed mode 'cause I understand that it can be an issue. I tried it full screen on a 1920x1200 screen, and it looked about the same. It looks very good on both of my screens.

After playing it again, I noticed that the current wave IS shown, but I must have scrolled up in the box (mouse wheel scrolls it)

Only after the last wave, is the wave not shown (If I don't actually scroll): growin-ballistic.PNG

Halloween Harvest by muriel 2023-01-09T21:01:24Z

Nice game. The shotgun was really satisfying to use - two bullets and a quick reload. I enjoyed stealing the pumpkins back. Good sound effects.

Your Harvest by OadT 2023-01-15T18:59:34Z

Very creative, and well done too. It was a fun surprise when it occurred to me what was happening.

Death In Time by Yorsh 2023-01-09T23:06:00Z

Great looking game. I like the variety of terrain. It makes for an interesting chase. The "improve" option is a nice choice. It allowed me to understand the game in the first round before moving on.

Fruit Market Express by benk 2023-01-15T17:15:19Z

This is great. The music and art give it a really sweet and pleasant feel. That zoom in with the people sounds and strings, after "start" is clicked, is so nice! The gameplay was pretty intuitive. As others wrote, I hadn't realized that for some baskets, I needed to place the produce myself to get it to fit. That's a great mechanic for this game, but it doesn't happen enough.

The sound crackles for me when I play it on itch.

Midnight Harvest by SirLich 2023-01-09T20:15:26Z

The scenes and mushrooms are really nice. I liked picking up and viewing each mushroom.

It was harder than I thought it would be. The mushroom features are distinct, but there are so many similar variations that it's hard to remember exactly which flat green-capped tall mushroom I saw. I don't think that's a bad thing, since it was pretty fun, but I couldn't get too far.

Market Restaurant by Pincushion 2023-01-09T16:03:14Z

@horda @reservoir @matimat @gcake Thanks for the feedback. I added a [hopefully] more simplified how-to to the game's description in LD and itch.

@reservoir The notebook's a really good idea. Thanks.

Market Restaurant by Pincushion 2023-01-09T23:14:05Z

@lisyarus This is great feedback. I was curious how these specific points would be received. The game changed over the course of the jam, but in the end, I thought the combos should be central to the gameplay. So if you don't cook mostly using combos, you'll lose money. Even then, you need 3x or multi-combos to progress far. I think I might have made it too hard, so I think you're right that it needs balancing.

Market Restaurant by Pincushion 2023-01-10T22:20:06Z

@masternoob @papaya I noticed the memory game thing when playtesting, but I wasn't sure if it added to the gameplay. From the start, I was fixated on the market being separate because of the theme. Sometimes, you just need to let go of an idea. Thanks for the UI/tutorial comments and suggestions. I might play around with merging the market/restaurant modes post-jam.

@manchmalscott The combos aren't entirely random. The game tries to look for 1 player ingredient, 1 market ingredient, then a completely random one. It sounds like player/market ingredients should be more probable. I'm glad you could game the system for a better playthrough :)

@sdelay Brigher colours are a good idea. I hadn't even thought about that, but it makes so much sense. I was thinking of adding objectives as you suggest, but didn't get around to it. It would definitely add to the gameplay.

Thanks all for playing. I really appreciate the detailed comments.

Market Restaurant by Pincushion 2023-01-14T18:28:27Z

@benk I had planned so much more, and more would've been done had I stuck with a plan. I like how you suggested objectives as the tutorial. I see that in many games, and I'm amazed that I've never tried it that way. I'll have to try that next time. Solid for the tone of the game too.

@benmo Haha, that's a funny solution. I should add that to the "how to play" as if it were planned all along.

@lone-wolf I cobbled that tutorial together because I was worried that the mechanics weren't obvious :) Thanks for saying otherwise. I'll be rethinking my approach next time.

@oadt It was deliberate to keep the restaurant stuff separate from the market, but it turned the game into a memory game. I'll have to remember that for next time. I discovered that the game looks awful below 1080p after I published. I think that it was the tutorial window that was messy, *raises fist at last minute additions*.

Thanks for the kind words too everybody! I love LD and jams in general for this type of feedback. I get a lot out of it.

Encryption Harvester by Lone_Wolf 2023-01-09T17:21:29Z

Really nice game. I enjoyed the story. The interface felt really good. It was great to interact with. The auto-typing looked/sounded great. After a few rounds, I stopped seeing yellow letters, which increased the difficulty significantly. At that point is was too hard, so I had to mostly cheat my way to the end. On that note, the cheat option was really useful, since I still wanted to see the story.

Encryption Harvester by Lone_Wolf 2023-01-09T18:33:58Z

@lone-wolf I think I read the "yellow if they are found somewhere else in the world" and never read those instructions again, since I didn't expect that text to change. Colouring it red might have drawn my eye to it.

The Soul Harvester by AdamWatters 2023-01-09T18:27:02Z

The map layout worked very well with the skills. I'd see an obstacle and I could guess about the upgrades that were coming to get past it. The tab map was really nice, since I could use it to find how to get back to these obstacles. There was something to get down every path, which was really satisfying. In general, the controls felt good, but I was constantly mixing up the keys. So it would be useful to simplify the controls if you can.

Asteroid Miner by seanjordan 2023-01-10T22:01:49Z

I like your home ship. The platforms are easy to get in and out of, but you can't just whiz by to deposit. That made it pretty dangerous when enemies were chasing. There were a nice variety of minerals to gather, and it was worth hunting for the better ones. I couldn't fight the enemies, since it was too hard to fend them all off, so this was much more of a harvest and evade game than a fighting game. Firepower/defense upgrades could change that, but the evasion game worked. The "Sell minerals" button was exactly where the "Restart game" button was, so when I finally won, I couldn't see the win screen, since I was mashing the sell minerals button while being chased by what looked like 100 enemies.

Some sounds would go a long way to improve the atmosphere. I had to provide my own asteroid mining music.

Propaganda by She Wrote 2023-01-09T19:55:39Z

It really gets hard at 29. Fun game loop. I couldn't figure out if the water and posters did the same thing or not. I just rushed to do whatever needed to be done. So satisfying to put a sad face behind the gate. Funny how their heads get bigger with propaganda.

Social Mediæty by const_arch 2023-01-13T00:00:59Z

This is a pretty unique game. Hilarious premise and dialogue. Nice combinations of things to do. I appreciate the scale of it, it really ramps up and starts going quick. It looked pretty good. The souls rising from the planet were a nice touch. The speed setting was really nice too. The core gameplay was fun.

The news popups were really funny at first, but they were annoying after a while.

I wasn't clear on the effects on the soul purchases. I got the gist that they either helped me or hurt my dear brother, but nothing beyond that. It would have been nice to see their effects, and in general more clarity on why the numbers were what they were.

Hartifacts by lisyarus 2023-01-09T21:33:16Z

For this theme, I figure "getting stuff" qualifies. I really like the mechanics of this game, but the levels are too easy. The solutions felt too obvious. It has a great foundation.

The tile flipping effect when the level begins is pretty nice. The controls are pretty intuitive. All in all, this is very good.

Wheater of the Colossus by GCake 2023-01-09T16:33:55Z

I also never played Shadow of the Colossus, but now I wonder if I need to play it. This was really fun. I liked that I could see the fists aiming at me, and then riding them back up to the collosus :) Reading your comment about having limited time (I always over-scope too and need to cut back a ton), I think you made the right call focusing on the climbing. It's really satisfying.

The Decade of the Harvester by sdelay 2023-01-12T01:30:45Z

Solid game. Nice variety of obstacles and upgrades. Though, I felt that the upgrades ended too soon, and that they were overpowered. The upgrade part of the game only lasted a few rounds for me. The mechanics were introduced so well. I like how they were part of the story. The rotation was a little clunky. I'd prefer to leave the turn key pressed, instead of pressing it repeatedly to turn. I really appreciated that when I lost, I restarted the year only - that really took the sting out of losing. It was a pleasure to play through the years.

Eternal Harvest by Papaya 2023-01-11T00:18:11Z

@sdelay dunno. I couldn't get anything to move at first, but after a reload it started working (or maybe I started pressing the right keys..

This game's really good. All of the pieces are so different, and they're really fun to use. Nice increasingly challenging puzzles. I think that 25 levels was perfect for the jam. Love that the pieces (magician aside maybe) are themed for reaping in the city. That car piece is especially fun to work with. The level and restart button are the only non-pixel arty things, and they take away from the consistent look. I feel like you'd have an easy win if you found a font for them to go with the look.

Crop Carnage by ManchmalScott 2023-01-11T01:08:18Z

I like all the different ways to get more guns. The timer on the seed plot was a really good idea too, since there was minimal clutter. The shop's really nice. The tutorial was really well done too. All in all, nicely done.

I couldn't always place seeds or water where I wanted. The circle would be red, even though nothing was near. After some time the ground would be fertile again though.

Crop Carnage by ManchmalScott 2023-01-11T18:15:28Z

@manchmalscott On man, I played it again, and I think you're right. I knew about that placement rule too. The player should be able to figure it out, since it's a common mechanic. I don't think it's something that needs to be in the tutorial. I blame the zombies.

Cave Flowers by Tk_Dev 2023-01-13T00:34:17Z

This game doesn't feel unfinished for a jam. It's complete with a good tutorial and a nicely tuned level. It has a cute look, and the controls felt pretty good. The double jumps took getting used to. I didn't expect that jumping in quick succession would launch me so much farther than two slower jump presses.

Minerals Planter by Found Bow Tonight 2023-01-09T23:53:38Z

Great idea, but it's way too hard. The enemies are really tough. Even if I outrun the bats, those snakes kill me in no time. It would be nice to be able to kill them with the dynamite. The different stones that grew were pretty cool. I especially liked the snake's animation, when it comes out of the ground.

Ratalie's Escape by masternoob 2023-01-12T00:13:55Z

It's hard. It seemed that if the kernels landed past the screen, they wouldn't exist. So I would let the tractor get close, then I would run as fast as I could to gather some kernels. For my best run, I was able to finish, but I left so many rats behind. I wonder if it's possible to save them all? Is it just a coincidence, or are all the rats I saved on the win screen? Nice touch, if so.

I really like the progress bar, showing where I was relative to the tractor and the end. It would have been cool to see status effects on the bar too. The art/animations were nice. It's a really clean look, and the colours really popped. In contrast to some comments, I thought the controls felt pretty good. On a querty keyboard at least, I found WAD12 to be convenient.

Nice choice of abilities. There's only a few things going on, but it feels so complete. Nice job.

Last Harvest by resevoir 2023-01-09T14:40:11Z

It also took me a few plays to see how to play. Those screenshots really helped.

It's a nice idea, and it was executed really well. My favourite part of this is how the roads connect when you're placing an item. It feels really good. The feedback is clear an immediate. It's satisfying seeing the lines connect. It looks like a spider walking the road.

Once the controls were understood, the game became really easy. That's the fault of the animated gif that you provided. It shows the optimal strategy, so there was little strategy required. I think the difficulty could be increased in a number of ways, maybe by making the dune more difficult to suppress, or by adding gathering locations.

Great music too.

MegaBurgers by Horda 2023-01-09T14:12:01Z

It took a few rounds to get the hang of it. It wasn't clear when cows were fully grown. The Mars action is pretty funny. Sometimes the buns/patties fly really far, and you don't see an intern for days. It adds some good randomness so the player needs to adjust to the slowness (it's also really funny), and it would be nice to give the player a way to help them along, or fire them, 'cause they're underperforming. The game's balanced really well. I went bankrupt a few times when I went too fast. It feels good when it's all working efficiently, so I think it's a job well done. Day 163 /flex.

Thrown Harvest (for LD52) by matimat 2023-01-09T15:43:43Z

Great idea! It plays really well. I don't know why I'm throwing veggies across fish, but it's pretty fun.

Feed the beast by Benmo 2023-01-15T18:14:47Z

I think the difficulty curve was over-tweaked. There were so many crows that I couldn't get 2 rounds of crops for 1 scarecrow. So I think it's too difficult right now.

Balance aside, it's a nice game. The coarse pixel art billboards form a nice cohesive look. The controls feel good. The placement border makes using the seeds/tools intuitive. The animation when the shop is opened is pretty satisfying. This could go much further with many more seeds and tools.

Gene Graph Garden by kaliuresis 2023-01-09T19:31:59Z

This is a great game. I love the programming system. It's really challenging. The nodes could use some description though. The straight one does more than the description, for example, and it took some time to discover it.

Are the puzzles all solvable? Levels 4 and 5 don't seem to have enough reachable tiles to solve them. genegraphgarden-lv4.png

It's nice that the progress is saved. My computer crashed when I was writing up the feedback the first time, and I was able to continue where I left off. That's just above and beyond, and it saved me time.

Big Veggies by Raphytator 2023-01-13T01:07:42Z

The music really goes well with the tone of the game. Good power-ups. The multipliers are a nice touch. Save a mouse, turn this into a rhythm game.

LD53 — Delivery

Mobile Drone by tompudding 2023-05-03T00:19:47Z

The drone felt just right to fly. I loved how the package swung from it. The mechanics were simple, but the game felt complete. This was a really good entry.

The game had a really sombre feeling. The light effects add a nice touch. Great tutorial. It's to the point and still fun to play.

My only nitpick is that I found the drone to be too low in the window when I was flying over homes to deliver the package, there was a lot of empty space above the drone, but In couldn't see where I was trying to land.

Space Docker by Wahooney 2023-05-01T22:23:57Z

Nice looking game. I agree with others, the sound could be taken up a few notches.

It has a nice progression. I like that truck that flies by from time to time. It drives my imagination for what else could be next. The animation on the score screen is really satisfying.

I couldn't see the top and bottom of each scene, since I use a 24:9 screen. I still got by most the time. It was fun regardless.

Inbox Fool by 100th_Coin 2023-05-01T20:13:07Z

This is great. Funny and polished. It looks really good. The voice acting/story keep it entertaining throughout. The puzzles were clever. The boss fight took quite a few restarts to figure out what I needed to do, but I got there eventually. Nice twist of the core mechanic. This was just.. well done.

Catnip Express by rubentipparach 2023-05-01T21:55:48Z

The environment looks so good! The ship's controls felt right. The reticle was a good idea. I agree with Adam. Some kind of goal would have been great.

Orbital Delivery by b4ux1t3 2023-05-01T15:05:51Z

Nice take on the theme. It was fun once I figured out how to get a positive score.

Great gravity simulation. I liked seeing the planets pull the helium packs. The earth orbit practice mode was a nice way to see this mechanic before going solar system.

The controls took some time to figure out. The text on this LD page was instrumental (yay puns - you started it). It was really hard to see the two sliders. I had to spam spacebar to get enough deliveries, so a press-and-hold auto-shoot would have been nice.

Love reading that you tried Godot for this. I'm stuck on Unity for a while, but I'm watching that one closely.

Time to Deliver the Mail to Robots by Shooting Them With a Letter, Somehow! by spudboy 2023-05-04T22:00:58Z

The boss fight was super cool. Loved the phases. The postcards were a really nice addition. I replayed to get them all. The robot art and sound was very cute. I enjoyed this.

Otherworldly Delivery by Xwilarg 2023-05-01T17:28:58Z

Nice unique card game.

Great variety of effects and compromises. Getting hit with the -100 dmg really hurt though. I was about to win, but then I lost :( It was fun and engaging, but the cards I was dealt felt unfair. I wonder if it was bad luck or if it was just difficult.

The scenes moved too fast for me to read/see most of the time. What I did catch was great. I really like the format.

Otherworldly Delivery by Xwilarg 2023-05-01T17:49:09Z

I figured out why the scenes were changing on their own. I had a controller plugged in. I guess it didn't play well. I'll have to play again :)

Easter Panic! by Oradimi 2023-05-03T16:48:32Z

Cute game. That music works really well with the visuals. It has a fun, light tone to it. I appreciate that you can place the eggs on the table for later. Nice progressoion. It starts perfectly doable, but it gets hard. The game lives up to the tite's "panic!". Well done.

🚦Delivering Traffic by munkkeli 2023-05-01T14:26:22Z

What a nice and original game. I had fun.

I really like the details in the traffic simulation. It looked like the drivers were considering their turns. There were traffic jams. I found the game to be well balanced.

The right clicking in a web browser was a little problematic, since I would often right click out of the window and get a context menu. A full screen option would have helped this.

Neverending PetriChore by snakemuho 2023-05-07T20:57:55Z

It was fun to fly and glide. There were a few times that I glided far across the map because I was already at a high-up place and I wanted to capitalize on it, and it was great.

Some jumps felt a little clunky. I discovered maybe a little late that dashing helped me jump higher. I found that for some jumps, I'd stick to the side of the building before jump dashing my way higher.

The atmosphere is spot on. Dark and rainy. Yes umbrellas are a big deal here. The healing trees were a good idea. I liked that I could see the glow from far.

Mail Day Mayday! by Thomas_Bringer 2023-05-04T20:33:39Z

Great game. I enjoyed the variety of unique mechanics. I was on my toes sorting the packages. It was sometimes tricky to place where I wanted to, but most of the time the controls felt really good. The tutorial looked nice and was very helpful. Cute music and look in general.

Uber Driver by CedarBishop 2023-05-03T19:52:30Z

The car was fun to drive. It was nice and fast. I can go slowly when I need to. The car turns well.

I like that the car can crash over and over. It's also nice that the cars that you crash into just go away and let you keep going. Nice traffic simulation in general.

The phone was too much of a crutch. I found myself just looking at it while driving, since I could see everything in one place.

Wheely Wheely Good Deliveries by Rolly 2023-05-07T19:18:58Z

I played version 1.0.1 to get the compo experience. Pedalling around was really fun. I think you captured the feel pretty well between the acceleration and leg animations. I frequently used the bell. It deepens the experience. I understand the full screen phone improvement in 1.1.1, but I enjoyed searching for the tokens. The map was small enought that I'd find them quickly. I think the game could be improved by listing the deliveries and deliverables somewhere on screen. This was great.

Tattered Tunics by tetrapteryx 2023-05-07T18:37:13Z

Love the animations. Cute music. It really goes with the gameplay. Good job with the swordplay. The AI was decent. It's fun for a few rounds. It'd be fun for more if there were some goals.

Skyway Delivery by Pincushion 2023-05-01T14:04:46Z

@dabigduck @malcolmdjgr There was a bug that I caused last-minute. The game should show a light pillar to guide the player to their destination. They show up after each delivery step, but the player can also press a button to have the camera pan to it too. For future players, I uploaded a version with this fixed, since I thought it was game-breaking. Thanks for the notes and thanks for playing.

Skyway Delivery by Pincushion 2023-05-01T18:16:16Z

@csimpson I was wondering how the lighting would be received. It's pretty dark, but I couldn't decide what to do with it beyond ambient+emission.

@tompudding I wondered how difficult it would be for players. Thanks for that note.

@b4ux1t3 Yeah, this one's light on the quality of life stuff. Alt+F4 is what you get this time around. I agree with the control tuning. Kind of buggy, but I hoped it would be good enough :)

Thanks all for playing. Glad you all liked the style. Great feedback.

Skyway Delivery by Pincushion 2023-05-02T11:55:05Z

@oradimi I found that bug too. It's pretty frustrating. Thanks for the comment!

Skyway Delivery by Pincushion 2023-05-03T16:18:45Z

@wahooney Thanks for the comment about controls and camera. It's one of the main things that I'm trying to get right from jam to jam.

@whywhy Yeah, that bug's pretty frustrating. I'm amazed that I didn't encounter it before publishing.

Cart Delivery by zimny11 2023-05-07T18:37:47Z

This is hard. The world rotation was a surprisingly fun obstacle. Whoever can carry more than 3 to the end deserves a cookie. The summary screen made it worth replaying. Well done.

Devious Delivery by RNGames 2023-05-07T16:23:22Z

The controls were simple to use and easy to learn. Throwing the boxes felt good. The tutorials were clear and helpful. There's a lot of good instruction and feedback. The goal, the throw, the survellance range was always clear. The puzzle difficulty was just right for me. Each level (aside from the first) took several tries, but I learned from mistakes. Well done. This was fun.

Power Ball Delivery by MalcolmDjgr 2023-05-02T16:17:23Z

It's simple, but fun. The ball physics were on point. I liked the feel of the throw, and the bounce was just right. Nice feedback when the ball is delivered.

In the next version, the vault doors could open to a next level.

Become a Courier by alisher_fazilov 2023-05-04T21:14:30Z

It was fun riding vehicles and exploring the town. Nice looking town. The player look and animations were nice. I couldn't make it too far, since I kept being caught by invisible people. I'd lose my money, but there was nobody there. It took a while to understand how to play. I missed the starting shop at first. More instruction would be great. I actually found a free scooter before I found money. I had a "wow you can drive these things" moment. That was a pretty fun drive.

Click to Deliver by Noobman64 2023-05-07T17:59:31Z

I played it the first time around before I realized that baby shower made things easier. It also wasn't obvious that I needed to declare myself the winner by clicking the Win button, so I played 3 times to see the win screen, and my clicky finger is now tired. It definitely could use some more things to do. It's fun for the minute. Pretty funny too. Well done considering the limited time.

Soul Weaver by ollie_d 2023-05-01T18:05:54Z

Great game. The puzzle was neat. Nice looking, good music, and a voiced intro/outro to boot!

Deliveride by kierogi 2023-05-04T22:28:19Z

Nice chill game with nice chill music. I really like the art. Space squid was a nice reward for completing the game. It was a little repetitive. Different obstacles and planets would be nice. Too hard to avoid obstacles at fast speeds, so I had to take is slow, and resetting to the beginning was a little harsh... So I went slowly.

Delivery Sim by Bad_B4DGuy 2023-05-01T15:48:17Z

I can see that idea going further, but I think it's too buggy. I could send items up/down stairs, but I received nothing for it and I didn't know how to go to different floors myself. I tried right-clicking to no avail. I also ended up without any items left to move.

There are some nice ideas here. Using the mower to move things around and the variety of actions and item movements. I read up a few comments that the computer can move the mower, which is pretty neat.

Pazza by DaBigDuck 2023-05-02T23:10:30Z

"It's-a Pizza!" (hehe). There are a good number of voiced clips - enough that they didn't feel repetitive, even though I heard them every second or so. They were really cute. It could really use some pizza-sorting music though.

Nice art. Everything's really clear. The palette is pleasant.

I like how the difficulty increased. 0-50 is really slow, but after 50, I really needed to pay attention. It did help that when there were two of the same boxes near each other, one pizza would be split between the two. I'm not sure if this was intended, but it was nice to catch a break.

It's a nice game.

Red Planet Rendezvous by csimpson 2023-05-02T23:42:35Z

Nicely balanced. Good crontrols and direction. It took some practice, but it wasn't frustrating to try over and over. Well done.

Acid Raft by TyeGameDev 2023-05-01T12:24:22Z

Between the dodging bullets, trying to kill baddies to get health, and clear a path, I didn't have time to reel in rafts. Sometimes there were so many bullets coming at me that I would die from full health. So it was pretty tough, but I found that I was getting further every run.

Nice models. The no-faced baddies were pretty cool. The shooting felt good, especially when I got into a reload rhythm. The trash fishing was cool too, but to progress, I couldn't focus on it at all.

It's a nice game. I would have enjoyed it more if it were a little easier. I liked the variety of mechanics/challenges. They all work really well together, but I think that I'd have to get really good to make it to the end.

Kick Boxing by deadlycupcake 2023-05-01T20:49:18Z

What wizardry elementary performed to do it in 6 mins, I don't know. It took me 18:43, 499 kicks, 304 falls.

It was really fun. I really like the variety of platforms. The first set of ice platforms took me forever to figure out, since it didn't occur to me that I could kick the box when it was moving. I think you nailed the difficulty. It's hard, but doable. Good job.

Nimbus Driver by Janton 2023-05-01T14:37:20Z

Looks neat, but I can't download the file. Other LDJam.com uploads work for me. It just launches a new browser tab and nothing downloads.

CQB drone trials by Tnnv 2023-05-07T13:48:04Z

The puzzles were fun. I appreciated how the puzzles could be thought out before clicking "run". In programming games, I generally have to do more trial and error to find the answer. The choice of modules was fun too. It added to the complexity of the puzzle without adding noise.

I liked looking through the different cameras. This isn't something I've seen before. It was a great tool to explore the level, and it went well with the robot escape theme. I think that mechanic was underused.

There was no risk to hit hostages. They were in the level, but I don't think there was a situation where collateral damage was possible.

The rocket made sense, but it took me a while to realise how I needed to use it.

Normally, I think an entry should try to enable as many ratings categories as possible, but by focusing on the core game, you made something really good.

LD54 — Limited Space

ForkerLifter by Dingbat 2023-10-14T16:43:19Z

The feel of controlling that forklift is so good, but it was so difficult. It's a game that takes practice. The forklift sounds were bang on. I had fun trying to get stuff into the warehouse, but I couldn't get very much done.

Gnome In The Abyss by Plepletier 2023-10-14T16:13:27Z

This is fun and frantic. The controls feel smooth. The look and feel is spot on. The platforms give good feedback as they're breaking, but it would be nice if they gave a little bit more right before they were going to break.

I like how the start screen transitions in and out of the game, but I wish I could dismiss it to restart the game faster. The game is pretty short and when I die I want to get right back to it. (so, if there was an addictive category, I'd rate 5)

Limited card space by Zirrrus 2023-10-03T22:51:37Z

This is a really good time sink. The cards and their interactions are really well thought out. The controls feel so smooth. Interesting that you wrote that the cards are pretty configurable. You could do a lot with the current set of rules. It would have been nice to show the points that cards scored on a turn. Something like floating text. I think you have a good idea that you can take further.

I find it funny that you "turned on scaling" and when I fullscreen on an ultrawide monitor, that message takes up half the screen.

I tried so hard to do better, but here's my best:

My score is 64

Limited Headspace by OadT 2023-10-02T15:32:31Z

The memory mechanic is wonderful. It's the first time I see this, and I wonder how far it can be taken? This gives me Baba is You vibes (especially when I started pushing stuff).

"Yes this was the intended solution" - too funny. By that point, I was just trying random stuff.

Bug report: The restart wasn't possible until my memory was full. I know there were others, but I used this one a bunch.

Space Phantasy XIV - Disc 5 by Frogravity 2023-10-10T16:58:34Z

Even with the hints, this was pretty tough. I don't have much to write that I haven't read above. That music is so good for this game. Keeps the adrenaline flowing as though Phesithor wasn't waiting so patiently for me to make a move. Nailed the jrpg-styled art. Entertaining dialogue with a sob story. It's ripe for a sequel. Really well done.

Stone Heart by funemaker 2023-10-15T14:42:38Z

Great music.

The level was interesting to navigate. There is always the question of do I shrink more or squeeze in. Movement was a pleasure, but the QWE controls were hard to get used to. I wanted to press AWD instead because of the WSAD convention. I appreciated the arrow telling me in which direction the heart was.

The shrinking is both fun and satisfying, but there's a point where I can't really see the direction my ship faces until I move..

I thought the mineral collection wasn't necessary. I think they existed purely as a score, and the timer is also a score. I'd rather get a better time than seek out the minerals.

Profound Tribulations Arise from the Pursuit of a Decadent Fool by Cam Moore 2023-10-15T14:13:53Z

This felt like I was in a musical. Excellent job with the singing, chasing clown. The grabs synchronized with the song were a nice touch. I was stuck on platforms a few times when I landed on the edge. Landing on the middle of the blocks was fine. Played v1.1.

Micro Golf! by txomin 2023-10-11T16:46:05Z

This is a chaotic game. It's interesting how there's even room to strategize. At first it seemed like the game was all randomness, but the preview of bounces is a really neat thing. Since the bounces fade, it really gives a preview for where the ball will go. Really nice and unique idea here.

Love the faces the golfer makes

Perilous Platforms by rcxa 2023-10-02T14:46:48Z

Nice idea and great execution. It's tough but not frustrating. The controls and gameplay in general were intuitive. I think the game could be improved if it was placed on a single screen, without the need to move the camera.

I loved seeing the other robots push each other off the platform when I ran to safety. I really think this can be expanded into a full casual game. It's fun.

(love that your screenshot is you falling off the platform)

PerilousPlatforms.PNG

Compact Factory by BrokenBridge 2023-10-03T17:02:03Z

The variety of bonuses make it interesting to try to maximize efficiency. I still haven't found an optimal pattern. I think it would be entertaining for much longer if it had some milestones (produce x, place x buildings, etc.).

The placement is nice and smooth. The tooltips were very helpful, and I appreciated the optional tutorial.

Clearing space by Sevansevan 2023-10-02T17:15:47Z

Nice puzzles. They really get hard. I thought it progressed really well too.

Defrag by henk 2023-10-11T17:22:35Z

Great idea. The selection and placement is pretty satisfying. It isn't too challenging, but it takes a moment to consider moves. It's a good difficulty level for a jam. I thought there was a good mix of additions and removals. It made me wonder if there's some magic under the hood to keep the randomness fun (or was I just lucky). It's fun to play.

Some "nice to have" suggestions: 1. It wasn't immediately obvious that the blocks on the upper-right corner were the upcoming actions, though they're really clear to me now. Something like "upcoming reads/writes" would help. 2. Since the score was counting up to 54, I had hoped for an "I win" message. Because I like winning. 3. I can see other placement bonuses or blockers being added like "Bad Sectors" can appear over time.

It's not Gamester's 223, but I'll consider it a win.

I scored 57

LD55 — Summoning

Necromatcher by wilsk 2024-04-15T14:16:47Z

You found the perfect name for this game.

It's subtle, but I really like that you can move in 8 directions, while the matching only works vertically and horizontally. How many times did I clear 3 tiles when trying to get to red ones? Nice design. It's simple, but it added some nice complexity to the gameplay.

Level 2 should probably have been a later level. It was the most challenging next to level 5. The puzzles hit the sweet spot for jam games. I used the "r" key a lot, but I managed to get through them all.

The music is adorable. I don't think it fits the game though, since it's pretty cheerful.

Loved the text accompanying each level. Pretty funny. It really adds a lot to the experience. A little smile while I'm scratching my head on the puzzles.

Pedantic note: The tutorial reads "see bottom right" when the available souls are on the left :P

Age of Research by ping78 2024-04-15T17:41:16Z

Solid game, but make it harder. Nice looking. The controls were really smooth too. The monsters were a little too easy to kill. The weapons were so quick and powerful that I didn't need to strategize too much. There were some nice abilities on the bar (the 4th had a nice visual effect), but I used the second one for all my defense needs. I couldn't figure out how to use the 5th.

VOC by cogcomp 2024-04-18T00:25:48Z

Nice idea. I don't think I've seen this mechanic before. It makes a fun puzzle. Satisfying action sound. It could use a reset level or undo option, but using up the summons did the trick too.

The Department by schwede 2024-04-15T18:20:26Z

Cute names. "this game has no ending due to budget problems" bwahaha. funny.

I couldn't figure out how employees were losing focus and if there was something I could do about it. They did it at different rates. Maybe I just needed to fire the ones who lost focus too fast?

Monster World Domination by RilleP 2024-04-17T23:01:20Z

Simple idea that you executed really well. It's winnable, but there's not a moment to spare. The maps have unique characteristics. The objectives are clear. The march music goes really well. Ready for battle! This is fun.

Summoning Ritual by velvetlobster 2024-04-17T23:48:07Z

Moving story. The music really pulls at the heart strings. Nice looking too. Well done.

Principal's Office by Thomas_Bringer 2024-04-19T16:36:56Z

Looks great! Nice choice of colours. The dialogue system was entertaining despite there being a lot of text to read. The characters all had so much personality.

After all that investigation, I wish the game would have confirmed whether or not we punished the right students?

Sequel: Meeting the parents

Devilish Delivery by ABRDs 2024-04-15T14:44:15Z

I thought to myself "It feels like I'm tickling the soul crystals", then I found out that's what it was called. Nailed it.

Nice game loop and progression. Nicely polished. I couldn't get past the green guys. It gets tough fast!

The upgrades all felt meaningful. The upgrade window provided a much needed rest from the clicking.

Alakazamazon! by Xeltide 2024-04-18T16:23:45Z

Now that I see this game, I'm amazed that I haven't encountered a single other delivery summoning game this jam.

It's pretty satisfying to throw the items. It took a little while to get a feel for it. Flying books and candles is the way.

It needs some goals or scoring. Some kind of reward for the player. Without them, it becomes a little tedious.

Life As A Lich by VortexB 2024-04-16T23:47:45Z

The lich was hard to see. It really blends in with the ground. Otherwise, really nice moody look. The 2d stuff and their animation really work.

I agree with others, the movement feels a little sluggish.

I appreciated that I needed to discover the mechanics myself. It took a bit, but it paid off when I figured it out. Then I spent an inordinate amount of time trying to disprove that level 3 on ldjam.com isn't beatable. I agree. It's not beatable (or is it?). Point is. It gets ya hooked. Fun game. Good job.

Grand Court Summons by Frib 2024-04-17T00:21:27Z

The song went so good with the driving. Good idea to play it only when in the car.

The driving was really fun. The town was interesting to drive in. The 180 degrees spin was too much most of the time. I usually wanted a 90 degree turn and overshot it. It was really cool though. I got stuck in the alleys a few times because my car went sideways. It took some time to get out of that. Loved running over people (mostly sanctioned).

I didn't really miss the polish (considering it's made in 48 hrs). I had fun. Mostly while bobbing my head and driving.

Summoner's Chess by Matt Ravenhall 2024-04-17T16:29:34Z

Cool game. It was surprising to see how well those two games mix. Like others, I didn't notice that I could summon pieces until the bishop round wend on forever (on white squares when my checkers are on black). Much funner when I realized that. Magnum also resigned against me, even though I was certain I would lose.

Nice clean interface. Funny opponents.

Reverse Rituals by freakyzelga 2024-04-15T13:32:09Z

First game, I summoned Flabbergasted Flo.

Great use of AI. The game looks great. I think the challenge with AI is to maintain a consistent look, and the look is seamless.

The upgrading is very simple, though it's clean and the objectives are obvious. It plays like a multi-step loot box. I only skimmed your description on itch before playing and didn't realize that there multiple endings. Getting Flabbergasted Flo was a hilarious surprise.

Imp Master by Owtuvammo 2024-04-16T19:31:18Z

Great idea summoning/unsummoning the imps. It's a fun puzzle game. Nice and polished.

I found level 3 to be really challenging. It took me some time to realize that the bullets were firing even though I couldn't see them in the dark. I think the tutorial was enough though (I like the way it was integrated into the level). I just didn't see it. Maybe if there was a little bit of light, enough to see a bullet fly from the gun to give this hint?

I see why other say the controls were confusing. I right-clicked a lot accidentally, which moved imps when I didn't want to. On level 3, I locked myself between the doors and couldn't get out. Aside from this, I thought the controls were intuitive and felt good.

A Dearth of Cats by Saprina289 2024-04-17T23:28:35Z

Between the lighting and the music, the tone was nice and creepy. Too bad you had to cut it short. I want to know what's on the other side of the other portals. More demon kitties.

Summonster by Poutine Studio 2024-04-19T16:58:41Z

Nice selection of monsters / mechanics. All unique. They look really good too. The bat can be a little buggy. It moves through one side of a wall, then not back through the same wall when it returns. The game could use some more levels to apply the mechanics I learned. Glad you're planning on making a full game from this. It's got a good foundation. Good luck!

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Fireflies by manabreak 2024-10-11T16:11:04Z

It's short, fun, with some fun puzzles. Looks good and the music pairs well with it. Nothing to say. This is an excellent one.

Ducks on the Road by designernap 2024-10-08T22:39:52Z

Cute game. Felt bad every time I lost a duck.. I like that the ducks are numbered, as if to emphasize that they're being tracked. Nice seeing them gone from the list as they get to safety. The feed bags were a nice idea, but when I used them, the ducks would generally die when they reorganized.

Karma Keepers by Nazariglez 2024-10-11T11:56:01Z

This was fun. It was quite the challenge too. It's surprisingly smooth, considering all the movement by the end.

The blessings all felt meaningful, and I was constantly looking forward to the next one. Though, I feel like the Graceful Pause and Spiritual Gate should have come earlier. I didn't feel their benefit, since soon after they were available I had eternal grace, which let me lay back and enjoy. Really satisfying to see it on autopilot for the last bit.

karma-keepers.PNG

Honey for the Winter by adjo 2024-10-09T00:01:03Z

It's really fun to fly around. Nice looking too. I liked balancing the bees vs consumption. The beekeeper felt unfair. That's the bee life, I guess.

Tiny Creature Word by candlesan 2024-10-09T11:47:58Z

This was fun. Sweet, tiny level themes. I felt rewarded as I progressed through a level, since reducing the combinations made it simpler :)

I don't think you should have opted out of graphics. It's a clean-looking game.

Those Darn Nanobot AI Will Be The End of Us All by mrspeaker 2024-10-08T16:53:46Z

Love control scheme. The keys felt so intuitive. Really a challenge to coordinate between killing the inner baddies and the circles. I like the tone of the game. It's pretty silly.

Tiny Mushy Froggies by BitLuderRb7804Fr 2024-10-08T20:13:36Z

It's a challenge to get the good jump. Satisfying when I got it. Looks good and it's fun to play. With all those guts, this could be a drawing game.

Buzzy Hill by Klaus Peter 2024-10-08T23:38:50Z

Nice looking, frantic game with some cute characters and funny dialogue! The level was well-designed. It was fun to navigate it. I feel like the last run I just needed a few more seconds. 4/5's my best. I think the messages are important, but they probably shouldn't stop the flow.

SNANT by Cobear25 2024-10-11T16:26:19Z

Creative twist on the snake game. Was a challenge to keep the momentum going while that pesky red ant was on the board. Great idea. Well done.

Tiny Lab! by Wren Erickson 2024-10-09T00:43:16Z

Yes, I did want to shrink people down and watch them live out their lives. This is a really good entry. Fun to explore it and watch the anthill. Had fun hiring and monitoring test subjects.

The Deep Dive by Acdia 2024-10-08T20:39:28Z

It's a really funny premise. Great idea for the gameplay - it's solid. Timing the robots is pretty challenging. Had to use the full brain for this. What a nice happy ending cutscene :) Really enjoyed this.

It did take a minute to understand the game. I understood it once I saw the yellow bars on the meter by blindly flushing robots.

You are What You Beat by Sabrina_Ross 2024-10-10T12:16:57Z

Great boss fights. Looks great too. Love the cutscenes and the music that changes with them. Really got me excited for the next round. It's a lot of fun. Fighting with a chainsaw-wielding bomb throwing beaver would be fun next :) It would have been nice to have a boss health meter

Stomp by frostblooded 2024-10-08T22:13:18Z

Interesting take on the theme. Despite the obvious ethical issues, squishing people was pretty entertaining. From the foot coming down to the splat. It's quite a satisfying stomp.

The music and generally cheerful tone go well with the "it's not a big deal" narrative.

Final Harvest by Teatoon 2024-10-08T23:11:20Z

Great, a farming game! So moody. Played it a few times in case there were multiple endings. Got a great harvest, at least. Having the same button to eat and harvest, I was worried I'd eat them when I tried to harvest, which didn't happen.

Snail Typing by SatLess 2024-10-08T16:20:02Z

Cute idea for the theme. It's fun to play. Might be a good game for learning to type if the difficulty was adjusted.

It's a cute looking game, but I only looked at my snail at the beginning and end, since my objectives were at the bottom of the screen.

"(yours, obviously)" :)

Gnaw More! by 1finiteloop 2024-10-08T20:50:55Z

Super cute and pretty fun. Nice take on the theme. Fun happy music to go with the fun happy looks.

LD57 — Depths

Doors by OddballDave 2025-04-08T20:31:29Z

When I saw doors in the final voting round, which is clearly the theme that won, The Stanley Parable is exactly what came to my mind. That game's incredible. You do a great job of making a similar game.

It's really cute. The tone's just right. Love the voice acting and jokes, changing rooms in surprising ways.

Get to the bottom by jk5000 2025-04-10T18:41:40Z

Had fun playing this with my partner. Nice use of hex tiles. They made nice caves with some good angles for bouncing. Agree with oddballdave, some bouncing sound could be good.

Depth before Decaf by sebbernery 2025-04-08T19:36:00Z

That monocle-wearing shark cracks me up. Cute music. I like gathering a school of fish. The hover to join is novel and has potential. Requiring a number of fish to join adds nicely to the concept.

Killing the the sharks is really difficult. The fish move so slowly compared to the shark. I did manage to get to level 3 once. My fishies can team up on one shark, but two was way to hard.

Delver Delve by khaotom 2025-04-08T16:31:43Z

Really nice level design. Lots of hints, falling past goodies where I can use the restart button and try to get them. Nailed the look. It reminds me of C64 games.

ABSEIL by baknik 2025-04-08T15:18:48Z

Really fun to swing my way down. The procedural caves were done well. Every playthrough was winding and challenging, but nothing was impossible.

The Treasure of the Gigantanic by Zirrrus 2025-04-07T19:47:21Z

Everything being white aside from the gameplay elements worked really well. The interactive things were obvious, which is really great in a game where there are a few stations. I liked the different controls. The power wheel was felt really good when it spun quickly. Watching the water sink as I pumped was pretty satisfying. They're all simple, but different and it was pretty fun to move from station to station.

My first run through, I think I missed the treasure and was lost in the deep ocean. I couldn't find my way back. Realism maybe? The second run, I closely followed the map. It was much better.

INFERNAL DESCENT by wisstopher 2025-04-14T20:59:53Z

So spooky. Really nice atmosphere. I increasingly felt in danger. Love the black and white look when there's no lights shining. There's just the shadows of fans. Very film noir.

Submarine Murder by oller125 2025-04-15T16:08:28Z

Took me three times. I'm a bad detective. This is a really nice game. I love the hand-drawn scenes. I only wish there was more to play.

d6 pool by Uzpykes 2025-04-07T20:12:44Z

Really good job with the physics and pool sounds. Knocking the balls around felt really good. It's fun. I found it maybe too easy to knock the balls off the edge, especially since the arrows stretch halfway across a dice face.

This Blasted Mine by Pincushion 2025-04-08T13:10:08Z

@zirrrus Appreciate the feedback.

@baknik Level 7's a tough one.

@sicosiber That's a great idea. The time adds up.

@khaotom Glad you made it through! :tada:

Thanks for playing!

This Blasted Mine by Pincushion 2025-04-09T12:44:40Z

@leophyte I agree it needs a way to speed up the explosions. Appreciate the feedback. Appreciate the kudos :)

@heiden-bzr Thanks! Minesweeper's the inspiration. I inverted it because minesweeper already existed :)

@oddballdave Appreciate the feedback on level 2.

@fullbuff I see the performance issue on my gpu too when I play the built copy. It's not an issue in the Unity editor. Weird, I might dig in out of curiosity. Thanks for the feedback.

@henk That's great feedback having them different colors. I bet it's an easy adjustment too. The music does cut out. I think I forgot to set it to loop... Good job beating it :star:

@she-wrote Thanks for the feedback. Agree with it all. Thanks for playing to the end :tada:

Thanks all for playing! Really appreciate the great feedback.

Caver by Harmadillo 2025-04-11T17:57:16Z

I like the mix of sketches and text descriptions per area. It's really a nice experience.

The select a tile+click an action is a nice control scheme for this kind of game, though I agree that as-is both actions can be handled by arrows. With search, it would have been great.

I didn't feel that I had much agency, so the game felt very random. It was enjoyable to see what was down the tunnel. It felt less like a game, and more like a non-linear story.

A bug for you: the heading for "ropes" is "torchs".

Used To Be by Heiden.BZR 2025-04-09T15:56:11Z

Mysterious and moody with creepy cutouts. This was a lot of fun to play. The platforming and exploration was great. Felt like being in an Escher room.

Swoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooord!! by She Wrote 2025-04-09T18:58:48Z

Really nice looking game. And with those sounds it feels so cold. Pretty funny too.

I couldn't quite get the balancing right, but I did manage to kill the beast by clicking very quickly.

Deep Dive by mhorth 2025-04-15T12:15:36Z

This game oozes charm. It's so fun. The music and voice over are so upbeat. The animations are fun to watch, and it's great to see the trick chain at the end.

Setting the angle at the end felt a little out of place. It's a little memory game, a little guessing, but the rest of the game is skill-based (how many of moves can you execute in x time).

Ludum Dare 57 Depth Of A Phrase by Beebster Games 2025-04-10T18:48:58Z

This is a really nice game!

The hint system is really helpful. The game can be pretty difficult and this alleviates the whole problem, though I do feel that all points should be lost when using the "x of y correct" tool. I did use that tool liberally to get to the end after round 4.

Clever to have "depth" in each phrase. It makes it easy to find part of the phrase, while having warm-up phase to get started. I think that without it, the game would be 10x more difficult.

River Woods by the3rdHunter 2025-04-09T20:05:08Z

It doesn't look hard, but it's so hard. I still I managed to beat the bronze round so far. It's really a fun game and I like the the control scheme.

Topography by sudocoffee 2025-04-10T14:52:10Z

What a unique game and a great idea. It's pretty fun. I like the different styles for the different layers. The might represent different layers of the past. They're also useful if colorblindness is an issue.

After carving/uncarving a lot, there are some shards of different layers left. It sometimes makes it difficult to carve what I want without messing up my path. Not really an issue, but it can be frustrating.

It's different and it's fun. Well done.

The Bends by henk 2025-04-09T17:31:59Z

Nicely atmospheric. I don't often think of scroll wheel beyond zooming or selection. It works really well with this linear movement.

It felt a little monotonous until there were objects to avoid. They felt like underwater caves, especially with the limited light. Sometimes I went up the wrong way and had to swim back down. The game really came together and I got into that flow state.

Kind of deep waters by 7uc4s 2025-04-09T16:51:56Z

Really great game. Also spent a lot of time on it. Nice goodies to collect and buy. Having money to upgrade after death makes it easier the next run. So it's hard, but if you keep playing, it gets easier. Once the lights go out, it's really challenging. I like that the music changes as it happens.

I think there's a bug when the hull meter is blinking. It doesn't stop blinking as the ship is repaired. It's ok, because by the time that happens, I'll ram through whatever to get oxygen.

It's fun. Well done.

A Very Deep Tunnel by Sicosiber 2025-04-08T16:14:14Z

This is great! It's pretty entertaining to collect all the loot, but what I like the most is the music progressing as I move further in. The train is really fast and fun to ride back and forth.

Awakening by Celian 2025-04-09T14:29:48Z

I like it! With the calm music and the darkness, it was nice to explore the layers. The teleporters and objectives were clear, and the glowing orbs are pretty.

Abysmal fate by K1n 2025-04-08T20:01:48Z

It is a simple game with a soft vibe. The idea of a deck vs deck fight is interesting. Definitely needs more challenge, and some instruction. Nice spacey vibes between the music and color scheme.

The end screen has me wondering what's the story.

DepthsHouse by ibandurist 2025-04-08T17:32:47Z

Really nice looking. I love the colors, especially that psychedelic restart button! Firing rockets was pretty fun too.

Since the goal is to survive as long as possible, the game might be improved by displaying a timer to give it a score to track and beat.

LD58 — Collector

Coin Collector by jk5000 2025-10-06T12:24:57Z

... it can be very hard.

When the controls change, there's this moment where I think "What's going on now?". It might have been frustrating if the music and voiced barks weren't so entertaining too.

Easily one of the funner click to collect games I've played.

The Pink Operator by Geckoo1337 2025-10-14T17:06:48Z

Fun puzzles. The game's easy to pick up and play. imo, level 8 was much more difficult than level 9, but all levels were fun to play.

I enjoyed reading the story progress. While the text was easy to read, I didn't notice it immediately (I see Wouter had that issue too)

Interesting to read that the music was procedurally generated. It turned out well.

Overall, a great entry.

Gemwright by Jimbly 2025-10-14T16:16:09Z

Nice collection of abilities to gain. They all feel unique and worthwhile. Eventually the player needs to pick which skills they want for a day's work, which is a great restriction. I think it comes a little late in the game, since it leads to some interesting decisions between days.

Overall a great entry. Always appreciate a leaderboard too.

1100 Dots by thingus 2025-10-09T00:30:58Z

Why 1100? Anyway, this was fun to play with. It's really cool to see the particles move. It's really smooth. Satisfying to see them change color. With the soft bloom, I almost forget that I'm looking at circles and triangles.

MoruMatrix by cogcomp 2025-10-07T20:47:19Z

The most arcade-y game that I've played in a long time. The vibe is incredible. The music is great and the vocoder stuff when you move adds so much.

For some reason, I can't get past the first level, despite getting more than 200 yellow fuzzies. I tried both binaries.

Puzzle Pieces by vidarn 2025-10-08T20:48:04Z

This is beautiful. Great drawings and animation. Nice music. It hurt to tear those puzzle boxes apart. They were beautiful and I really like to solve puzzles. They had nice tactile buttons too. Really good-feeling clicks.

Star fleet Telescop by VikFX 2025-10-08T20:28:19Z

The UI's great. It put me right in the star fleet seat, analyzing the stars. It's great when I change the filter and find what I'm looking for. Switching between glossary and filter tabs was a little tedious though.

I like the planets, their variety and the reveal that comes with taking the picture. Nice that you can name them too. Pretty neat.

STAVROS by designernap 2025-10-10T18:44:10Z

Super creepy all around, but especially those voices. Nailed the dark atmosphere. Funny to read that those breaking noises were actual flower pots - they sound great though, so imo, totally worth it.

At the start of a level, the game kind of repositions the player / loads into a new scene maybe? It's a little immersion breaking. Although, you're pulled right back in with the sound accompanying the title ba-bum! So good.

CONTAINMENT BREACH by wisstopher 2025-10-16T11:55:07Z

Great storytelling. Great atmosphere. The ship's very well designed. You used the hell out of those primitive shapes. Interesting obstacles and details. Looking outside the window to see planets and debris added to the immersion. I felt very much like something was very wrong. And there was a satisfying ending.

I'm going to add some random comments about the keycard: - I really wanted to see it slide through the card slot - Did I leave my pass lying around? Maybe it tells us about how poorly we follow protocol? I still had it with me the second time around though. - Feels like if there's a lock and key, I expect more locks and keys and maybe puzzles.

Grand Collector by Alex Mulkerrin 2025-10-06T16:18:28Z

I appreciate the simple control scheme. There's no need for a separate button to turn in quests or advance dialogue. I like that the land isn't visible until the player nears it. The boat's a nice touch too.

You did a lot with 16x16 tiles. Looks great. Had fun getting all the things and discovering the land.

6 min 52s. I'll take the "slow deforester" achievement.

Mushroom! by Tim Eriksen 2025-10-07T20:33:14Z

Not much to add. I like how the mushroom visibility changes when you stop, as though you're looking more intently around you. The collection is really great to scroll through.

Unpacker: The TCG Collector Simulator by R4ndomThunder 2025-10-06T19:03:59Z

Great presentation. Cute music. The cards are interesting and they look great.

I felt that I had too little agency. There weren't decisions to make. I would buy the pack, keep the ones I don't have, sell the rest and repeat. Whether I won or lost entirely depends on which cards I'm dealt.

It's a great game to get that gambling itch scratched.

Veggies Clash by Yorsh 2025-10-10T16:37:08Z

Really nice looking cards. There was a good variety of them. I like seeing them in their collection book. Battles were fun, especially after I had most of the set and I could see how to build a good team. I like all the ways to gain new cards. Always excited to get the free ones.

That big kid's battle is so difficult.

The Crossing by IndigoWolf 2025-10-06T17:10:19Z

The multi-tasking twist on the frogger gameplay really works. I think there's no finish, imo it could be completed with a timer and a goal (ex. how fast can you get 100).

It looks good and the controls are fluid. I like that I can reverse the boat at any time to dodge a spirit fish thing.

Cheers to submitting when you're short on time. Nice job, despite it.

Attic Thrifter by Sthor726 2025-10-07T20:16:02Z

Fun puzzles. It just needs more of them. The rules are easy to understand with some trial and error. Nice looking with nice screen transitions too.

Stamp Collector by grid96 2025-10-10T11:24:22Z

Great cozy game. Enjoyed sorting through the postcards. Getting a pile of them and flicking them off screen was part of the charm. It took a while to get my last few. That last rare just wouldn't come. and maybe the last 2 paintings. Maybe I just couldn't identify them.

If I could request 1 feature, it would be to have a mode to display the collection. It's a great game for sharing.

@nekowei Thanks for the great feedback!

Trade Up! by Pincushion 2025-10-06T13:27:49Z

@d-omino Thanks for playing despite not liking card games :) Sorry about your ears. Hopefully you noticed the volume sliders (in the lower right corner, for future players)

@brandsma I was worried about that (especially as I was writing the "How to play?" overlay). Glad that you got it after all. Appreciate the feedback.

Trade Up! by Pincushion 2025-10-08T17:13:22Z

@le-don That's a great suggestion. I just added some instructions with screenshots for future players to the itch.io page. Hopefully that makes it less painful to get the rules. Appreciate the feedback. So glad you liked it.

Trade Up! by Pincushion 2025-10-09T23:07:39Z

@grid96 I thought of this myself. I guess it comes from collectable card games and I was brainstorming with a deck of cards, so I didn't move too far from that. Thanks for asking :) And thanks for the typo.. that's an important note.

Trade Up! by Pincushion 2025-10-14T17:09:07Z

@jimbly @jose-bonilla I see what you two mean about the suit colors. I was copying the standard deck of cards, but I missed that detail. The suits are pretty similar without the color. Thanks for the feedback.

Snake Cube by Le Don 2025-10-08T18:55:48Z

It plays as advertised and it's pretty fun. Despite looking through a 3d cube, I can usually tell where everything is no matter which side it's on, probably thanks to the simple graphics. Seeing the snake wrap around the cube is pretty neat. I find it starts getting hard after around 50, when the snake wraps around most of the cube. I'll add a +1 to making the snake faster as the game progresses, but the challenge is there regardless.

Greedy Collector by José Bonilla 2025-10-14T16:05:30Z

Those big orbs are really juicy. So satisfying to see the spirits poof out of existence. The dash feels really great too. Nice music, effects and general game feel.

Quit Stalin by Eugenik 2025-10-09T16:38:57Z

Nice looking game. The animations tied to the voiced AI are really good too. I'm not that familiar with the history or the psychology, so for the dialog options, I mostly relied on the numbers that were provided. It did make for a neat story. After running through it a few times (because I failed so much), it would have been nice to skip through some of the text that I already heard. Even if the skip option was only available for the text that was read in previous playthroughs.

My best run, I ended with moderate success. I'll take it!

snake-collector by nekowei 2025-10-06T12:10:05Z

I like this!

I like collecting the abilities. The 2d/3d switch was memorable. I think the arrows came to early. I hadn't noticed that I couldn't move in other directions yet.

I'm not sure if there's a point to eating the apples. The snake grows, but I didn't see an impact beyond seeing a longer snake.

I had one of those aha! moments when I saw the snakes stacking after seeing items in the air. Then later when I saw the instruction on the ground to press space to switch between them. Nice.

1 of 8,031,810,176 by torte478 2025-10-08T11:27:29Z

Love it. It feels like a silent film going through the life of something/somebody who's life is lived for the collection. Love the cold open and the tragic end, the music and voiced transitions. Some really cute character animations there too.

The gameplay reminds me that after all these years, I still need to sing through the alphabet to understand where the letters fit within it.

HellBinder by PassbyKamenRider 2025-10-09T00:54:22Z

The cards are beautifully drawn. Those characters have so much personality. The music is excellent too.

The purchase price is shown, but I don't think the player is told how much they could make. So I see the risk, but not the reward. It would also be neat if the game would confirm if I correctly spotted a fake.

Boarder by Brandsma 2025-10-06T14:25:14Z

Nice looking pixel art. So satisfying to hit the big trees. I had fun stealing mushrooms from farms. When returned, the hogs were all dead. So sad :(

Interstellar Collector by Baluj 2025-10-09T11:14:57Z

Enjoyed exploring the planets. Nice planet implementation with the atmosphere and species that show up when you get close. Tested out the star. It's hot.

Wow that is difficult. Great vibes with the metal and the speed. Nice smooth movements. The apartment building aesthetic looks great. The yellow and red targets really pop out. Even when moving quickly, I'll spot what I need.

Enter the Cardgeon by Placeholders 2025-10-06T20:27:38Z

I agree with Gal that there wasn't a reason to pick the red cards. Sometimes, the choice is a safe card like 1 yellow and a profitable card like 9 red. In that case, it's possible the game could be won faster, but it's still not profitable enough to go through the trouble of fighting a room of enemies.

I love this idea that the player is collecting more dungeon rooms to play. It's an interesting idea that has infinite possibilities.

As others have said, it plays well, looks great and is nicely polished in general. Great entry.

Collect It by Stef_Studio_7 2025-10-06T17:45:52Z

I like this large scale memory game. It's pretty fun. I tried going for longer streaks, but I couldn't score as much as submitting 2 at a time.

Confidential Information Collector by Bipolyar 2025-10-06T13:18:29Z

Very nice Windows 3.1 look. The atmospheric music goes really well. Subtle ticks when clicked. Very satisfying clicks.

I really enjoyed uncovering clues. It's really satisfying to see an answer accepted.

The minigame breaks up the thinky part of the game. There's nice pacing between the motor function and brain function parts. As much as I enjoy a mystery, it can become exhausting. After the minigame, I come back refreshed and excited to uncover more elements of the mystery. The minigame itself looks really nice and is pretty fun, despite its simplicity.

When I'm typing in a field, wsad still moves the screen. It's a funny minor annoyance.

Unfortunately, I couldn't get past the third level. I feel like I know the birthdate, but I couldn't enter it. After some clicking, (I think it was on the phone icon of P.Duke), the game was stuck in the minigame after I completed it.

Great game.

Holy Dible by NekoBones 2025-10-09T16:01:23Z

This is an excellent game. The story's fun. The music is so playful (I like the whistle parts). Great idea for the core game. It plays well and offers a lot of variety and interesting choices.

Edit: I think that song's going to be stuck in my head all day.

Collector of Souls by Antned 2025-10-18T15:23:36Z

I also encountered the bugs others mentioned. Some UI issues I noticed: - The health bar is too dim. It took some time before I noticed it. - The hover text for shop items displays behind the shop item, so sometimes the text is unreadable.

Aside from the few bugs, the gameplay's really enjoyable. The game looks great too. I like capturing the abilities of my enemies. Lots of interesting combinations between the souls and the relics. I like all the non-combat screens. Lots of options for gambles and trades. Lots of things to collect.

Harvest of Wyrd by Arkadi Voronchenko 2025-10-24T15:53:17Z

The artwork is beautiful and interesting to look at. The levels are really well laid out. So many nice obstacles too. I had to fiddle a lot to capture the resin, and it wasn't clear how I had to position myself to collect it. I think the gameplay would be improved significantly if the resin capture was more forgiving or maybe had more feedback.

LD59 — Signal

Happiness by OddballDave 2026-04-23T16:22:42Z

It's full of character. So delightful to play. The sounds were really entertaining. Appreciated the animated title too. It gets you right from the start.

Follow It by jk5000 2026-04-21T15:31:23Z

Nice and moody and so dramatic. Appreciate the voiced parts. Found 3 endings.

Adriift by Ace17 2026-04-21T20:01:03Z

I agree with the others. Great atmosphere. The music goes well with this feeling of slowly gliding through space. It's dark, but it's peaceful.

When gliding from beacon to beacon, it often feels like I'm not moving. having some other points of reference, like smaller debris, might give the feeling of movement.

Sanctuary by MossGames 2026-04-21T16:19:28Z

I agree that the hidden pieces are confusing, but after I encountered it once, it just felt like a normal mechanic.

Solid puzzles. They were fun to solve. Room balancing as a setting was a nice touch. It gave a cozy feel to the game.

I'm curious what the enable/disable "Signal Mode" button does, aside from dimming the screen.

Signal (1) by A.Bond 2026-04-20T13:42:07Z

I did get stuck a few times on the second-last level, where I needed to control the knight, but I could only move the ball. I suspect it's because there are multiple solutions to it, which, imo, is a really good place to be in a puzzle game.

Nice set of mechanics between the two units. I've never seen something like the knight's move indicator. It's really clear after some experimentation, despite its moves/abilities being somewhat complex.

The puzzles were certainly puzzling, but I managed to get through them. It definitely gives that satisfaction of completing a difficult task.

I don't think you should have opted out of the graphics rating. The UI is nice and clean.

Signal Operator by TasakaSama 2026-04-20T16:37:20Z

This is full of possibilities. Just changing where the trucks load made for an interesting change in the last level. The calming music goes well with the frustration of destroying the fleet.

Blind Run by Rolly 2026-04-22T20:03:03Z

Excellent compo. The voice acting, story and transitions really make it feel polished. The puzzles were also fun and challenging.

Coverage by DecadeDecaf 2026-04-23T16:03:40Z

When I download and unzip the Windows package, the contents look like they're for a web build. How can I play this game?

Coverage by DecadeDecaf 2026-04-24T11:48:42Z

The music is *so* good, so fun, and right on theme too. The phone fights are fun to watch, though it wasn't immediately obvious which ones were mine. I see the coloured bar now, but I think it could be clearer. I played against the ai, yeah it's kinda dumb, but it gives a good impression of the gameplay. Seeing their cursor gives the feeling that I'm actually playing against somebody.

I really like how the phone theming fit into the game in general. All around a great compo.

One more mention for the music. Seriously, it's really good.

Buried Treasure by Pincushion 2026-04-20T11:02:03Z

@steveofstevesgames Yes, that sounds like it's broken (or something I entirely forgot to implement). I was thinking that maybe the 25 money was too harsh though, so there's the silver lining that people might be able to play for longer. Thanks for playing! I'm glad you liked it.

Buried Treasure by Pincushion 2026-04-20T13:27:39Z

@desi Even a box would work. I totally agree. When there's world, I like to play in it as much as possible. UI takes away from that. It's a good thing to consider when I encounter the problem again. Thanks for the feedback!

Buried Treasure by Pincushion 2026-04-20T13:46:53Z

@tolviere Thank you for trying the download! The web build worked for me, but it's also a bit janky, but definitely not what you're seeing. Great feedback. I was curious about that question specifically of battery and upgrades (others were incomplete), and I guess the mechanic being broken is still leading to some answers on it. Thanks!

Signal Interference by Phoenix Fireflower 2026-04-21T20:34:55Z

Great sound design and presentation in general. Nice mix of mechanics, cards, exploits. There are some interesting choices and powerful combos to be made.

I liked being able to reorder the cards, but there wasn't much to do with that.

This is an excellent compo.

Jammed! by bereg 2026-04-21T16:45:43Z

Controlling the tank feels so quick and fluid. I had fun floating when I run off a cliff. I felt the impact when shooting too. Nice sounds and effects. The terrain was mixed and interesting too. It added to the fun of controlling the tank. You nailed the action-y feel.

It was a bit frustrating that I couldn't change my shot in the up/down directions, so I had to find the right terrain to make the shot.

Signal Relay by AkihiroF 2026-04-22T11:50:26Z

It's a good idea for a game, but it needs some quality of life improvements. The relays vs interference makes for a good puzzle and the efficiency for stars is a solid incentive to replay it too.

The biggest QoL improvement for me would be to have a convenient way to fail. Since the different relays have different ranges, and I can't tell what range they have until I try it. So I get stuck a lot having to restart. There doesn't appear to be a restart or undo button, so I need to reload the whole game. I made it to the second level, but I got stuck and I didn't want to have to redo the whole game so that's where I stopped.

Traffic Control by Alec Cunningham 2026-04-24T16:09:52Z

This game's hilarious. I love the voiced parts, the wobbly music, the mayhem. It's all so good.

I read that Blender had a game engine built in at some point. I guess that's v2.79. Curious how it was to develop this.

Martian Masher by juyr 2026-04-22T16:19:42Z

Nice mix of enemies and buffs. The gameplay is so smooth. The water drop sounds for the weapon is kind of funny, rather than the usual blast sounds.

Signadle by Helagos 2026-04-22T16:55:30Z

Those controls are tactile! I really like the clicks. It's a fun guessing game. I was often able to move in the right direction, but purple eluded me on the buttons.

The objectives were a nice touch. Rather than aiming for straight perfection, there were other goals to aim for.

Void Signals by desi 2026-04-20T14:32:37Z

Listening to Chef Ramsey was pretty funny. Though for some reason, I couldn't figure out the cat's clue, so the answer sheet was good for that. The braille translation puzzles were my favourite. The ending was satisfying.

The overall experience was really good. I could always actually see where I needed to go. The sound bites were entertaining. The puzzles were pretty easy, but I still had to think about it.

VOID by Kyanoss 2026-04-20T15:48:38Z

This is great. It's fast and fluid. The atmosphere is so mysterious and alien. The effect when you're on a signal is really cool. I encountered a bunch of them at the same time and it was so bright all of a sudden. This is a solid proof of concept.

Signal, Frog by SteveOfStevesGames 2026-04-20T12:22:17Z

Cute music. The three signals are plenty to keep track of. It's in the difficulty sweet spot. Pretty funny when the game accuses me of cheating. Couldn't find other instances of that, but curious...

I appreciate the top scores list. It would be nice to also see what the latest score was. If it's below zero, which mine often were, I didn't get that feedback.

Without Brakes by Shernik 2026-04-20T16:03:51Z

When I finally hit a dump truck, the game just resets and I can't see my score, so I can't come here to brag about what I great honker I am. Some kind of score message would go a long way.

The core gameplay is solid. Reminds me of rhythm games with dodging mixed in.

redlight-greenlight-bluelight by Firewater09 2026-04-20T13:07:30Z

The extra color is a nice addition. Next step, you could add some kind of score, like a timer or a count of all the times the player failed to stop.

Propaganda and Rhetoric by hammeredzombie 2026-04-22T20:41:54Z

I liked the format of going to a website for clues. I agree that it could have been fun to visit real websites, though those are subject to change. The website for this game looks like the real deal. Really nice. Cute "restricted" easter egg. I had to find it when I saw the image.

I thought the puzzle was unnecessarily difficult. While the actual solution was straight forward, I found the board in the game world was a red herring, misleading me.

i love you, too by tolviere 2026-04-20T14:53:54Z

I'm truly impressed with this game. The story kept me hooked while I enjoyed the puzzles. Excellent sound design. I appreciate the subtle sounds while playing with the signal.
