LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Beefore the end by sebbernery 2024-10-08T19:13:40Z

What a fun game! As someone who loves collecting, I really enjoy directing the little bees to gather nectar. I thought it was just about avoiding the trees, but then two bees bumped into each other and fainted, haha. It’s such a great game! To accomplish so much in just 48 hours and have it run so smoothly, along with a well-designed tutorial for beginners, is truly impressive!

Tiny Garden of Eden by JackLeHamster 2024-10-08T05:45:00Z

Really interesting game! I love the animation of the little creature’s movements—it looks so bouncy. Also, when they climb up, they leave behind little yellow pixel trails, which kind of reminds me of worms, and it also makes me think of my hamster digging, which is really cute. By the way, it seems like the BGM stops after playing once—it would be great if it could loop automatically, because I really like the music! Adding some sound effects when falling from a height could make the game feel even more lively.

Apple Snake by johnbrynte 2024-10-08T08:07:48Z

I felt really tense when I was falling! Such a fun game~ I love the gravity mechanic!5ef47aa541f0789a0cd1af86e4af87d.png

Llort by ThaProfesional 2024-10-09T14:51:22Z

A simple action game with a simple art style but very effective, I wish there were more attacks against this little thing

Tiny Creature Dodger by pres2300 2024-10-09T09:47:13Z

A simple yet fun little game! I like the mechanic where you shrink a bit when you bump into the tiny creatures. I scored 64! All the creatures spawn at the top of the screen, and I just stayed at the bottom, moving left and right—this seems to be the best strategy so far. I also think it would be more interesting if the creatures spawned from all directions. It would make the game harder, but also more challenging!

The Befitting Heights by kr4ft3r 2024-10-08T15:30:43Z

I love the way you write these emotionally delicate stories, subtly conveying a sense of helplessness and sadness. While playing, I kept thinking: 'If only my choices could influence the direction of the story,' but that in itself seems to express a sense of powerlessness. Amazing work!

David vs Goliath: What the government doesn't want you to know by CaptainDreamcast 2024-10-08T14:58:39Z

I really enjoyed your story—it’s so humorous with a bit of a 'dark humor' vibe, and it cleverly ties into the theme. The explosion effects are great and seem easy to implement, which I appreciate. I absolutely love your writing; it feels deep and thought-provoking. The voice acting was a standout for me—it really caught my attention! Also, I managed to clear the combat part without taking any damage, so the difficulty might be a bit on the easy side. It would be great if the battles were more challenging, though I’m not sure if that’s intentional as part of the story. Great work!

About Crayons and my garden by velvetlobster 2024-10-08T16:34:10Z

Wow... This looks like a work of art. Such a powerful emotional expression—absolutely amazing!

Flea Patrol by Sviborg 2024-10-09T06:30:06Z

I absolutely love your hand-drawn doodle style! My strategy was to keep pressing A at the beginning until enough fleas gathered together, and then I’d start making them jump. It made things feel a bit easier to control that way. So much fun!

Desk Jobs by MuchosWaffles 2024-10-08T09:03:45Z

I love the theme of slacking off at work; it’s really interesting! At first, I didn’t know how to play until I turned around. Great job!

Sorry, my network is down and I don't know how to delete the comment.

The Little Men by N.Y.R 2024-10-08T15:38:04Z

I clicked in because of the cover, but the link says: 'The developer has not uploaded a game yet...' Wishing you all the best!

(OVER)LORD OF THE FLIES by rachjn 2024-10-09T10:44:14Z

Great game! I love the art style. I used both my left and right hand to play, and I think it would definitely be a lot of fun to play with friends!

Observing by look_for_happiness 2024-10-08T16:40:18Z

The perspective of observing the little creatures through a magnifying glass is awesome! I really enjoy doing that.

Ghostie Hunt by emozdemir 2024-10-08T16:12:56Z

I’m absolutely captivated by the art style—it’s so cute!

Let it Bee by Skeltor 2024-10-09T14:45:54Z

A game that fits the theme very well. The hexagonal real-time strategy game is very interesting. I like the art style and 8bit-style music of this game. Adding some details of game interaction will make the game more complete. Of course, it is very good now.

Night at the 8th Warehouse (八号仓库奇妙夜) by hidden61ade 2024-10-09T07:22:09Z

Your team did an amazing job! The atmosphere is great, and thank goodness for the auto-save feature—I died so many times, and it’s such a relief not having to start from the beginning. After reading the comments, I started the game and was a bit confused at first by the lack of sound, but after passing the first switch door, the BGM kicked in. I'm not sure if this was intentional, I personally think it might be better for players to hear the bgm at the first moment, so that they can build up tension in an instant. The music is excellent!

Little Frog Big World by Fipmotron 2024-10-09T11:20:14Z

At first, I didn’t understand what was happening and kept dying when I ate the flies. Then I realized it’s a roguelike game. After dying many times, I could collect enough flies to visit the shop and buy some skill upgrades to become stronger. I think there should be a way to access the shop from the pause menu, because before I figured it out, I hesitated for a long time to click 'quit,' afraid that my savings would be lost after exiting the game. Great artwork, great sound effects! Very interesting game, well done! ps:I like your cover

AHHElevator by AlxJE 2024-10-08T06:07:07Z

This is so much fun! I think the design where some people die when the elevator drops is really interesting. I was frantically trying to play but still couldn’t manage to transport everyone to safety in time. It’s a bit brutal when they get eaten by the monsters, but I actually like that! I also really enjoy the game’s simple art style!

Follow ME! by OldToadPower 2024-10-08T09:21:31Z

Great and cute graphics, and awesome sound effects!

Minisseum by Tenai 2024-10-08T16:07:49Z

The card design and turn-based mechanics are great! Everything runs really smoothly and it's super cool.

LUCA by KaiWang 2024-10-08T04:40:56Z

Great game! Although I kept failing at the 3-year mark in the beginning, once I figured things out, I was able to equip myself with various cells and survived for 89 years! I think it's really cool that you can freely shape your body, and the design of each cell is interesting. The music in the game is also really good! I feel like the first three years might be a bit too short—I ended up with a game over before I even understood what was going on.

Snail Typing by SatLess 2024-10-08T18:52:32Z

This is amazing! I always make typos when I’m nervous, especially at the last moment. The art is super cute!

Sluggernaut by 1Cloud 2024-10-08T07:01:40Z

Great work! I really enjoyed it. It was so tense and exciting when I was being swarmed by the bugs. I like the primitive art style, and the way the original body disappears when switching bugs is a nice detail. However, the upgrade feature doesn’t seem to work? I tried a few times but couldn’t successfully upgrade. My favorite is the little green bug because it can automatically send out clones to attack. Also, I feel like the skill that shoots attack orbs forward is a bit underwhelming, because when I’m dodging the bugs, there’s usually nothing in front of me. Maybe if it fired backward instead, it would be more useful for damage output.9fb0580cafc8f89455d7db237eb9114.png

Tiny Toes by SevenZeroBoi 2024-10-08T15:10:54Z

Such a cute game! But I feel like the toes are a bit too big, making the space to move around very limited. Also, when I went full screen, I couldn’t see the score anymore—it moved to a higher position, so it seems like there’s a display issue.

Herding cats by Quag 2024-10-08T09:32:33Z

The art is really cute, and the gameplay is simple and fun! It’s a bit frustrating that it conflicts with Chrome’s shortcuts, but I’m amazed that so many levels were created in just one weekend. That’s incredible!

Get A Head by unluck interactive 2024-10-08T15:58:28Z

Really interesting game! It's full of challenges and fun. It’s definitely not easy to consistently find a head to jump on every time

Human Heist by MrJimbles 2024-10-09T08:24:04Z

Great level design! The details in the cat and dog mechanics are really well done. For example, the cat has better jumping ability, while the dog can’t jump as high but is strong enough to push big boxes. The cat can sprint and knock small boxes a short distance. I love these little details—you can really tell that you put a lot of care into making this game! Cats and dogs saving the world!

Gnaw More! by 1finiteloop 2024-10-08T05:18:22Z

Thank you all for such high-quality feedback! So glad to see the comments when I woke up.It's an honor to have so many players engage with my creation and provide such sincere comments.

PS: I’ve added a 'TRY AGAIN' button after successfully completing the game, so now you don’t need to restart the game to keep going for a higher score. The update is live on itch.io!

Tiny, Young, Dumb by oldzombie14 2024-10-08T08:36:19Z

I love how the little balls interact with the mouse! The dialogue and items that appear in the scene are also really interesting, though I wasn’t quite sure what my goal was, so I just gathered everything together and sent them to detention (haha).
