good game to improve my typing speed JAJJA, very original! I would only add some background music but the rest is very good

Very cool game! I love the artstyle, the snails are so cute <3
Great art! Always impressive when people manage to put together coherent visual design in only a couple days!
The font choice pairs well with the art of the game but I think a clearer font would work better - hard to differentiate some letters like U and V when they are not parts of words.
I was surprised to see that the snail took a bit to finish after I did - does the typing determine movement speed rather than position? A bit confusing.
Good work overall in such short time!
@bad-fetus Basically the number of letters is divided by the width of the screen, so it affects your speed. This helped make and tune levels faster. Though the way I handled winning levels is messy, using colliders instead of ending as soon you type the last letter.
Thanks for the feedback!
Cute game, and unique concept :)
Fun game! Turns, out, I am really bad at typing! It was clutch to reach the finish each time, but that only made the game more exciting!
wow i am really terrible at typing haha, very challenging! :)
🐌 A very cool game! 🐌 A fascinating and original concept that not only entertains but also helps improve typing speed! ⌨️ The art style is simply charming, and the snails are so cute! 🎨 Adding background music would make the atmosphere even better, but overall, a great result for such a short development time! 🎮💫 Thanks for such an interesting game! 👏
I WON!! this game is so match my typing speed, love this game design so much ,wish for more content to play,or more animal to choose
Very fun! I agree with some of the other comments that background music might've been nice, but that crunch sound when you get a letter is really satisfying on its own.
Ha! It’s really hard. At first, I expected to type full words, which I thought would be harder, but no—typing random letters is way tougher because you can’t predict what’s next without constantly looking at the screen. Loved the concept! Are you planning to expand it? Gj!
YESSSS!

Really love that it's random letters instead of words that have to be typed. Funny, how much harder this is.
~~just please don't ask how many times I had to restart haha turns out i suck at typing~~
@nazariglez currently I'm not and I'm super surprised people enjoyed. It was rly difficult to tune the game/make more interesting gameplay, since it was either rly hard or too easy. Though I'm glad you liked it, thanks!
Classic "looks and sounds really cute, and is easy to pick up and play but exceedingly stressful" style game - in the best possible way. Got stuck on the last level for ages, but managed to smash it out eventually. I think the difficulty curve was perfect.
Had a lot of fun getting through it, and felt a good sense of achievement after.
Loved the graphics, but I was so focused on hitting the right keys it took me a bit of time to take them in. Liked the crispy sound effects - and like a few other people would have loved some music.
Really cool! This was hard as a typing game due to the fact that the letters move instantly after typing them, which made it very hard for me to anticipate upcoming letters, but maybe that's a part of this game's unique challenge. Nice work.
Cute idea for the theme. It's fun to play. Might be a good game for learning to type if the difficulty was adjusted.
It's a cute looking game, but I only looked at my snail at the beginning and end, since my objectives were at the bottom of the screen.
"(yours, obviously)" :)
I really liked this game! It's awesome!
This is amazing! I always make typos when I’m nervous, especially at the last moment. The art is super cute!
I liked the visual style, and the game was fun, although I'm a relatively fast typist so it was pretty easy. Some of the levels had obstacles like puddles, did you have gameplay for those in mind, or were they just meant to be visual?
@sudocoffee they were only meant to be visual. I wanted to add shaders when you stepped into the puddle, but due to having to scale up the snails, it looked silly when they stepped in lol I wanted to have top down movement in some way, but I decided to make it simple and make it more similar to Undertale's thundersnail
Cool game. I did better than I expected so I guess I spend more time on the keyboard then I think. :D Keep going, would love to see it expanded! :)
I really loved your art, and mood. I think this game could be even sillier; It reminds me of Justin Smith's work, and he definitely goes all out into zaniness. Still your game is quite silly, and cute. I kinda wish the letters were closer to the action, so it would be easier to glance at the race and the graphics. Idk if that makes sense. Great job!
Simple and polished game! Only thing I don't like is the fact that I'm SO focused typing, reading the numbers I don't ever really look at the race. Not sure what the solution is though
Yeah, I have the same feed back as the post above me: the actual snail-race part of the game is a redundant, because it's more efficient to only look at the letters. I don't know if I'm winning or losing, I just type as fast as I can - so it's not exciting as a race.
A possible fix for this is either to have the letters just below your snail (so you can see the other snails in your peripheral vision) or to use words instead of just letters: so you can read ahead and watch the race as you type the words.
Hmm, maybe the simplest fix (without changing much) would to be to have some intentionally duplicate letters... like if there were three As in a row, you could anticipate it and then you could look up and keep an eye on the race. If you spaced the duplicates out evenly it would give a great rhythm to the typing too when you got in the flow: making both the typing AND the race more fun.
Annnnyhoo, I love typing games so really enjoyed your entry - I just wish I could have spent more time looking at your cool shaders!
Short but intense!
Very nice entry. Great take on the theme (but I was sold on your intro about static typing, etc 😄) and solid execution. Like others have mentioned, I couldn't pay too much attention to the race, which is a bit unfortunate because the graphics are good, but other than that you (s)nailed the entry.
Congrats!
This is such a cool idea, really simple and very well done too! I love the cute snail design and the sound effects are great too!
Man, I haven't played a typing game in years. I had a good time, though!
I'm good at typing... so I snailed it-I mean I nailed it!
I love such games, I myself want to make something in a similar genre of racing))) But these snails are too fast, maybe I'm really bad, but they leave no chance. The only way to win is to press everything in a row.
I am once again reminded why I type so slowly. But hey, level 3 isn't too horrible I think?
Very nice little typing game! I was a little worried by the other snails' speed at first but fortunately my typing speed is fast enough that I was able to clear the game in one try. Given the lack of variety, I think it's just long enough to avoid outstaying its welcome. Good job!

Sick! I wish there were difficulty options of some kind - I got through this way too quickly. This is really fun though, I enjoyed my snail-racing time a lot.
