Trying my darn hardest to get a WebGL/HTML build up for you all. I know it makes it 100x easier to play. In the meantime I will record a video. EDIT: WebGL version is up!
Also don't hold back any criticisms about the game. I allowed anonymous reviewing as well if you prefer.
A really impressive Game! The FPS movement feels just right, the jumps come natually and the sounds feel right.
I found one bug(?), that when you are reborn you need to first leave the checkpoint and enter it again to be healed by it again.
I would have loved to see some more content with the given mechanics, I ended up just running around the level trying out what fun platforming you could do with the bounce back.
And one last thing, I am missing the music in this one. Some Doom-Like rocky soundtrack would have totally rounded the experience for me.
But non-the-less this is one of the best entries I have played so far!

@andidebob Thanks! I feel the same way, i spent so long creating the core mechanics I forgot to make levels to challenge them! Haha.
If I had to do it over again, I would make a series of rooms enclosed that require health to exit. And entering a room would re-lock the door behind it.
I think I started having so much fun with the 'rocket jump' that I lost my focus.
The chage of appearance when close to death is a nice little touch, and the mechanics are awesome! Well fitted into the theme. (And pretty)
Extremely impressive game. I loved the shader work to reveal the bones. It took me a while to realize you had to jump and shoot at the same time. You can get across some of the spaces by shooting only, but it's way easier if you jump first. I didn't realize that until I got to the tower where you have to jump across the missing stairs. Great take on the theme. We really struggled with the theme, but you nailed it!
That was a lot of fun. The fire-to-jump-higher mechanic made all of the difference. It wasn't always easy to jump where I wanted to, but it was always fun trying.
I also liked the decaying hand.

Thanks all!! The decaying hand was my favorite take-away from this project. <3

Liked the rocket jump mechanics and decaying skin effect, but the level design needs some improvement. But it's a nice compo entry nevertheless.
Quake vibes everybody! Fireball jumps! Also, this hand will haunt me in nightmares. Great entry.
Wow! That was a really fun and impressive game! Just love all the details in the character and levels! I really miss a background music though!
Thank you for the comment my friend! Your game is realy cool to, remind me Catacombe 3D from ID Software before Doom! GG

Oh my god this person put rocket jumping in their ludum dare game they said it wasn't possible!!! We really need some gothic or industrial soundtrack as well, but what you've got is pretty cool, and things feel great too.
Great work! The controls feel good, the optical representation of the health is a cool idea. Some music would round up the whole experience.

Two words: rocket jumping! I was always a sucker for FPS movement puzzles (rocket jumping, HL-puzzles, surf, b-hops). The game froze when the boss hit me, however...

@oivin-f oh dang, was it the WebGL or Windows version?
Really well done! One of the more polished games I've played so far. As everyone else mentioned, the hand decay effect is fantastic.

Really cool art! Also the animation on the skulls is pretty well done! Missed some badass beat to shoot them skulls down.
