This is a wonderful idea. The mechanism of the game makes me feel very interesting. Good job

A fun little multitasking game! The basic gameplay loop is simple but fun, and importantly, very easy to understand without a tutorial. The presentation is nice, and I like the music! Overall, lovely work :)
Nice, short and sweet! Clearly defined instructions and controls, and a score system! I liked the music and sound effects as well. Nice work!
A nice little well made game!
The control scheme is a little bit cumbersome, but the gameplay itself is pretty clever and fun!
Very cute and well made game! Love the music and theme/mood of this. Great entry and teamwork on this.
Enjoyed it! I liked the music and the mini fit-the-blocks puzzles fit in nicely with the game (have you been playing Dredge recently?). I would have loved to see that come up more, most people only wanted a few things, and spam double-clicking placed the items fine.
I think the timer is too muted for its importance to the game - you could "announce" it more using a full-screen effect like darkening as dusk approaches, or, since you created the music, raising the tempo or adding a countdown-style panicky bit to the end of it.
Very nice game! Great job
Great game!
This was a lot of fun. I could see this being turned into a whole game of it's own.
this was actually quite fun! i have a knack for efficient packing, and it was cool to see it made into a game. i didn't realize at first, but you have to be sure your space is laid out correctly for both filling the bucket, and filling the selling bucket. i ran into what i thought was a bug in this state, but actually i needed to move things around to fit the second watermelon in: Screen Shot 2023-01-14 at 10.48.57 AM.png
i did, however, find a bug, when i had a guy ready to sell, then i timed out, when i restarted he was still stuck there: Screen Shot 2023-01-14 at 10.49.54 AM.png
anyways, after 3 attempts, my high score is $76 Screen Shot 2023-01-14 at 10.52.19 AM.png
by the way, i think it would be really nice to implement keyboard only controls. technically yes, dragging the fruit around is a mechanic, but if you're playing well, you should never have to do that, since it takes up a lot of valuable time. i'm much more fluent with keyboard than clicking around the screen, and i have a feeling that i'd feel like a wizard in this game if i could just arrow around and use space or some other buttons to take and place fruit.
@fuse-in-a-bowl thanks! No, I haven't played Dredge, hmmm. You're right about the block-puzzle thing being the most interesting part of the game, and that there isn't enough of it. I initially didn't have the double-click placement at all because my idea was purely a block-rearranging thing, but it was too difficult and not really much fun. If I was to spend another day on this game I'd rearrange things a bit. And yeah good call on the timer, I had something like that on my list but didn't have time.
@sakura-magika thanks! Hah I'm not surprised you ran into a bug with the "start again" logic. It was very, very rushed. My first version had keyboard movement actually, but I took it out just to keep things simple and click. A keyboard-only control system would be interesting.
Nice game mechanic and the music created a relaxing market vibe.
Very cool entry! I really liked this minigame and tried to beat my score a couple of times (only managed to get about 96$)
I noticed 2 little bugs while playing. 1.)After losing the first round, one of the customers that already had a filled cart didn't move (so that was one easy dollar for the next round ) 2.) If I click the sell button fast enough I can sell the items twice (customers never complained though)
Again very nice entry. I had lots of fun =)
Nice market simulator with a touch of tetris. Fruits look good and the relaxed music fits nicely.
This is great. The music and art give it a really sweet and pleasant feel. That zoom in with the people sounds and strings, after "start" is clicked, is so nice! The gameplay was pretty intuitive. As others wrote, I hadn't realized that for some baskets, I needed to place the produce myself to get it to fit. That's a great mechanic for this game, but it doesn't happen enough.
The sound crackles for me when I play it on itch.
@fatpenguin thanks! I never managed to break $100. There is a moderate amount of randomness to it, it's not the most finely tuned gameplay. Maybe I should fix that inventory bug later, seems like it triggers pretty often.
@pincushion thank you! Glad you appreciated the opening "cinematic", I put a fair amount of time into getting that feeling right. The sound crackling is an issue with fmod in some browsers unfortunately.
I like the idea and the gameplay, I enjoyed it and got taken by the flow, well done !
Maybe an objective may have been cool because the only constraint is to beat my score.
But well done, love the happy music :)
