LD40 — The more you have, the worse it is

300 days of winter by superchihuahua 2017-12-05T14:22:55Z

Good concept. Maybe some music and sound would be nice. I also found It too easy, I kept playing for more than 30 days and it wasn't difficult at all. Maybe a higher difficulty curve + buying some kind of upgrades would make it more strategic-challenging.

On the other hand, I love the mechanics and how you made all the tiled-snow thing.

Good job! :)

Stacks by torfi 2017-12-04T23:54:39Z

I really love the concept. Minimalist and so accurate on the theme. Models and physics are perfect. 10/10

I love it

Presents by gilborn 2017-12-04T22:18:15Z

The graphics are really cute. I like them (specially the presents). I love them. Also the music/voice combination works great together

Party Party Host Simulator by Enumox 2017-12-04T22:44:29Z

The Itch.io link is not working

Bleak by botreats 2017-12-05T01:01:27Z

It was funny. Sometimes it was difficult to move because I found some invisible walls or dark zones you can go through. It was also weird going through enemies and columns.

I really love the art. UI is more than correct. The big enemies are really cool and the animations are perfect. I have enjoyed it, good job!

NoteBoy by carlosvVk 2017-12-12T23:33:51Z

As someone has pointed out first, the input felt a little bit laggy, but it was quite funny anyway.

It was really interesting the split-screen system, I liked it. The visual style and animations fit perfectly. Really good game, good job :)

House a lovecraft inspired game by LERPish 2017-12-08T02:53:32Z

The atmosphere is great. I was really scared while playing.

I've missed something for the morse code inside the game. Searching out game takes you out of the atmosphere.

By the way, good job there :)

Junk by jjjjason 2017-12-05T14:37:20Z

-Soft applause-

I loved it. All the story and concept... you have done great :)

Motion only by DavidLibeau 2017-12-05T13:45:28Z

As others have pointed out, the demo was too easy. I haven't tested the live Twitch, nor with VR, but it's a cool idea though. Music is also quite immersive, I like it :)

- - - by Mark Kennedy 2017-12-05T01:16:17Z

Never again.

I really love the meta-message, quite good. Nice interpretation of the theme (maybe one of the best I've seen this Ludum Dare).

I love walking simulators and this one is perfect for a 48h Jam. Well done!

Yottaman by Racso 2017-12-06T00:47:59Z

I have loved that combination of humor-art-sound. Good Job!

Little Pleasures by Belea 2017-12-04T23:33:01Z

Thank you for your comments! I really appreciate your feedback :)

Bob White Shirt by Netherlab 2017-12-04T23:47:29Z

Really fun. I love how the movement feels some kind weird but fits perfectly with the theme and the mechanics. One of my favorite games this Ludum Dare for sure :)

Caribou Simulator by Gus the Shark 2017-12-05T00:49:25Z

Really nice! It remembers me the "sheep" game I used to play when I was a kid. Nice music, cool graphics (I really LOVE the way the caribou moves, like randomly jumping). Controls feel a little weird, especially when you walk in diagonals, but I haven't tested with a gamepad. Maybe with gamepad feels better.

Really cool game, one of the best I have played this Ludum Dare by far :) Good job!

DarkPixelAdventure by magicdidac 2017-12-05T02:20:33Z

Nice controls, really smooth, nice music & graphics too (all the pixels are really cute!). The level designs are simple but they work perfectly. A nice difficulty curve and mechanics that work really well together (I was really stuck until I read the jump-when-falling trick)

A good platform, with an accurate representation of the theme. Congratulation, you have made a great job

Five Star Dining by arcadia 2017-12-04T23:31:53Z

I love this kind of games. It kept me playing for more than 15 minutes! It becomes really stressful in the last part, but I think that's the point!

Good job!

Mo Money Mo Problems by Oivin F 2017-12-05T14:01:36Z

I like it. It was funny.

(+) - I like the graphics, they were nice, fit perfectly - I like the variety coin/contract and how the contract appears after some coins collected

(-) - Sometimes it was difficult to put the coin/contract exactly on the sack/mailbox. Maybe some kind of feedback or bigger hitbox would be nice - Clicking instead of dragging was somehow strange, maybe dragging would feel better

In overall, I enjoy it. You have made a good job here! :)

LD44 — Your life is currency

Soul Builder by Rose 2019-05-16T19:33:39Z

Probably the game that I have enjoyed the most of the LD, well played the theme interpretation. Very fluent and well balanced. Good Job!

Dear Substance of Kin by Deconstructeam 2019-05-01T15:12:15Z

The atmosphere and the graphics are incredible, the music fits perfectly with the aesthetic. Good job, you make a great team.

@onnofal thank you for playing it!

@lubaka thank you for your feedback. The theme is in the meat industry and how your life- as a chicken- is a huge bussines. I'm glad you enjoyed it!! :)

@attala Thank you for playing! I'm glad youy liked it

Happiness Life by ManTou 2019-04-29T12:43:52Z

Good job! A nice game, the graphics are very stylish. It works well and the idea is good, it fits the theme very well. I find it quite dificult, though. I've tried it several times and I always end up losing!

PS: answering emails is almost as tedious as in my real work, so realistic hahaha

Polar Delivery by onnofal 2019-04-29T13:26:22Z

Windows version worked fine for me. I love the visuals! everything feels really smooth and solid. I love the scope detail and de inverted Y option.

Well done! I have lost several times, is there and end of the game?

PS. I love how the penguin thanks you when you have just hit the iceberg, too cute! haha

Wanted by Stefan Jovanovic 2019-04-30T19:40:36Z

Quite dificult, but i really enjoyed it. I think it's the best visual style I have found in the COMPO category. Great work, 5 :star:

Sick Business by very dark lord 2019-04-30T17:37:21Z

Waw, that was amazing. Music, visuals and mechanics are really nice. I love the detail that you can choose your gender at the start

5 :stars: !!! Good job

Grow by Caspercaper17 2019-04-29T12:59:56Z

First of all, congratulations for the game. The category compo is quite complicated and you have achieved a very good result.

As you have already been told here, there was something missing that gave the sensation of immersion, maybe some of fog, particles with bubbles, that stuff ...

I loved the models, the low poly look is very nice and it is overall really beautiful. I loved the hook and the chain with the treasure specially.

I think with a longer audio track and a bit more immersive feel, it would be great. Do not worry about the enemies issue, if what you wanted is a relaxing experience, they are not necessary. I'm a fan of walking simulators or, in this case, swiming simulator :)

Lost coin by TinySalad 2019-04-29T13:56:18Z

I loved it. Short but really solid. I enjoyed a lot the intro scene.

There is a bug when you climb the flower and go back, the game closes. It would be great if there were an easter egg or alternative ending doing so.

BTW, I liked the game and how it fits (almost literally) the theme.

Good job!

Life Delivery Service by Gorrion 2019-04-30T19:31:05Z

Nice game, it feels fluid and really fun. I liked it

Rock, Paper Scissors: After (School) Hours Edition by SpliceDev 2019-04-29T12:34:56Z

I have enjoyed it, it is quite addictive. Surprisingly complicated at first especially when repeated options appeared, but then you get the hang of it. Nice visuals, I really liked it. Very polished

CHICKEN FACTORY by WhyNotYT 2019-04-29T13:12:04Z

We have had the same idea!! I have been vegetarian for almost 20 years and when the theme was announced it comes immediately to my mind. I have found also quite difficult to portrait the animal cruelty in this kind of farms, so I understand you.

The sound is quite annoying, but I Like the pixel art models. I also found it… “tense” somehow, trying to avoid the hooks while trying to not starve to death.

Good job 😊

Angry Planet by grllle 2019-04-29T14:08:15Z

Visual style is awesome. I love the drawings. The shake is so smooth and the gameplay and theme works great.

One of the most interesting games of this compo, well done.

LD46 — Keep it alive

Worm Protect Egg by Gunturtle 2020-04-20T17:16:12Z

Cool graphics! I love them. It has some good retro vibes. I found it a little to difficult for me though.

You made a really good game!

The Call of the Unicore by sndr 2020-04-20T16:45:42Z

Wow, that's a really beautiful game! Controls feels nice and it's fun to play. It also fits the theme perfectly. I really love the contrast between the cute unicorn and the creepy creatures.

You made a great work. It's awesome you could make it in just 48 hours. Congratulations

Lockdown by BOOtak 2020-04-20T13:03:14Z

Wow, i love it! Aestethics and mood are just great. I love the camera movement. Undoubtedly one of the best COMPO games I've played so far this edition

Ambulance chase by nick0124 creator 2020-04-20T16:54:45Z

I liked the graphics, both vehicles and environment look great. Camera and controls feel abit weird though.

You did a great job!

Keep It A-Live by Marco Le Van 2020-04-20T17:12:07Z

Great game! Controls feels really nice and the art fits perfectly. I find it a bit difficult, after a few tries I couldn't beat it... but it was funny to try though!

Well done! :)

Stay Frausty by GameDoodles 2020-04-20T13:09:22Z

At first I had my doubts but it turned out to be especially fun! I love the two layers concept. Simple idea but well executed: Controls feels great, even the climbing mechanic.

Well done :)

The Cyclist Helper by Gediminas Gurskis 2020-04-20T16:05:52Z

I really like the concept! such a pity is that short. Keep working on new levels, it's quite promising :)

TheGlowingBook by kidanger 2020-04-20T18:17:58Z

Really interesting idea. I really enjoyed it. I will return once there are more guesses because i got stuck in one guess.

One of the best games of this edition of LD I have played so far :)

Great work!

LD53 — Delivery

Ouija by DrunkardWolf 2023-05-01T02:51:52Z

What a delighful game! I have to admit I was a little bit scared while playing hahah

After playing I double checked it was indeed a COMPO game. It's amazing you could achieve these visuals in just 48 hours, great work!

If I can give you some (hopely helpful) feedback, sometimes the ouija felt a little bit too slow and monotonous. Maybe some frantic or herratic movements would improve the mood.

All that said, an amazing result, one of my favourites so far. Congratulations!

Witchcraft Starter Kit by Belea 2023-05-01T03:23:50Z

@brandon-campbell Thank your for playing! I'm happy you liked the graphics that much!

The idea of different outcomes (or at least a win/lose condition) was included in the initial idea, messing with the order of the ingredients. I cut it off in the last minute because it didn't add much to the story and I wanted to focus in narrative/mood.

I'll consider adding it again in the future. Thanks for the feedback!

@nox282 tiny cauldron! It need to be delivered, so it has to be small! I'm happy you liked it :D

@asasin56 thank you for your feedback! It's indeed 100% visual novel.

@greenphox I'm happy you liked the game! Thank you for playing!!

@sean-spiggle Thanks for playing! I guess I could have made it a little bit more obvious in the first steps, I hope you understood the story as it proggresses. Thanks for the feedback!

@drunkardwolf Thank you for your kind words! :D

Witchcraft Starter Kit by Belea 2023-05-06T01:41:56Z

@papaya Great to hear that you enjoyed the game! I'm considering adding an explanation with all the details in a post. I'll definitely let you know if I decide to post it. Thanks for playing! :D

@jul-li I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the game! Thank you so much for playing!

@nathan-franck Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that the game was a bit scary for you. I completely understand since I don't usually play horror games myself. However, there aren't any big scary moments in the game other than some sprite swapping and white noise. My main focus was on the narrative and creating a mildly creepy atmosphere. Thanks for giving it a try anyway!

@rawb Thanks for playing the game! I did my best to include even more effects, but unfortunately ran out of time. I'll try to add a few more in the future. Thanks for the feedback! :D

@robobarbie Thank you for playing the game! I'm really glad you enjoyed it. :D

@shawn-beck It seems there was a bug when playing with large resolutions in certain browsers, thanks for pointing it out! I've uploaded a hotfix to address this bug, so please let me know if it's working properly now if you give it a try again.

@exozetart Thank you for the feedback! I'm glad to hear that you enjoyed the game. In the earlier versions of the game, I had included a fail state where players would lose if they didn't use the ingredients in the correct order. I ended up removing it during development, but you're right that it could have added more depth to the gameplay. I was worried about distracting players from the fun and playful mood of the first spells, but I'll definitely consider adding it back in a future version.

@morepixels Wow, thank you so much for the kind words! I'll definitely consider adding some of the changes I have in the backlog once the jam is over. Who knows, maybe I can take it even further! Thanks for playing the game!

@louiejams I'm happy you enjoyed the game! Thank you for playing

@scrapmetal do you know the pliers sound is just scratching a cardboard box? it was quite funny recording all the different sounds! haha. I was worried of the choices-don't-matter feeling from the very first moment, and I had originally considered including two different endings depending on the order in which players used certain ingredients on each spell. Unfortunately, I had to abandon this idea due to the 48-hour time limit for the COMPO. I'll consider adding it back in a future version :( Thanks for playing!

@weefairyfabi thanks! My wrist still hurts after all the drawing and coding haha. I'm happy you liked the result!! Totally worth it :D

@zefphyer Thanks! I'm happy you liked it!!

@yumykon Thanks! I'm happy you liked it. Since it was a COMPO game and I can't compose a single jingle, I recorded some background noises and sound effects instead. However, I definitely agree that a nice, subtle, turning creepy background music could have added to the overall atmosphere of the game. I'll keep that in mind for future versions!

@thomas-bringer I'm thrilled to hear that you enjoyed the story! I was a bit nervous about not having enough gameplay, but I wanted to focus on the narrative this time around. Thanks for playing the game! :D

@grid96 Thank you for your feedback! I did try using handwritten fonts (even writing everything out myself!), but I couldn't find one that was easy to read at that size. I'll definitely consider reevaluating the font choice in a future version.

Witchcraft Starter Kit by Belea 2023-05-06T02:02:44Z

@luxiffre Thanks so much for playing my game and for taking the time to give such detailed feedback! I'm really glad you enjoyed it overall. I think your suggestion to change the color is a great idea, and I'm definitely considering it for future versions of the game. Maybe a light blue that gradually becomes darker as you progress could be cool, don't you think? :D

As for the rhythm, I must confess that I'm not a native English speaker, so it was quite challenging for me to get it right. I did realize that it was becoming increasingly difficult with each poem and I regretted the decision to add them so quickly. Some of the poems were even based on internet spells that I had to tweak a bit to match the situation. When I heard a native English speaker recite them for the first time, I realized that I had completely messed up the metrum on most of them. I'm happy that he provided me with many suggestions and corrections before I added them to the game, otherwise I would have had to remove them all.

It was a good exercise though, and I learned a lot from it.

Witchcraft Starter Kit by Belea 2023-05-07T10:22:09Z

@lisek-gagatek Thanks for playing! I'm glad you enjoyed it!

@droo-shayne I completely agree with you. The last spell was supposed to be in a creepy place, but due to time constraints, I had to cut it. I plan on adding it once the LD ends. Thank you for playing and for the feedback! :D

Sender Not Found by whycardboard 2023-05-01T18:03:29Z

I loved this game!

The way the story is told and the twist at the end are so cool. I appreciate how the story starts to emerge from the very beginning with the 'wrong' answers, although I didn't realize until the last few emails that you could only choose the correct option, I tried my best to be a "good worker".

If I may give some feedback, I found the keywords being case-sensitive a little bit annoying after a few emails (Maybe it's me that I'm very slow at typing, I ended up copy-pasting them, haha). I wonder if making the keywords not case-sensitive or allowing players to copy the keywords from the chat when clicking on them would speed up the pacing.

A solid text driven game, It might be my favorite so far. Amazing work!

Papi's Delivery Ops: Cardbark Infiltration by nox282 2023-05-01T03:00:30Z

Now I want to pet Papi. I'm glad he got back home at least.

Nice game. The final picture is really lovely, you can totally feel the emotion of the moment.

If I can give you some feedback, sometimes the box gets a little bit glitched in tight turns close to any objects. Just visuals though.

Overall a nice experience. I loved how easy it was to understand what you have to do. The initial conversation was quite funny too!

Great work!

Don't Stranding by nekowei 2023-05-01T13:22:34Z

At first, I was afraid I was going too fast and the boxes were falling out of the boat. But then I realized that it didn't matter that much, haha

I found a cure, so everyone can thank me 👀

If I may offer some (hopefully useful) feedback, it was a little bit confusing that the camera continued to move while I was interacting with the UI. Perhaps blocking the camera movement when the UI is opened would have been helpful.

In summary, this was a short but enjoyable experience, with an unexpected twist. Great job!! :D

Lost at Sea by willm 2023-05-01T13:37:45Z

I really enjoyed playing this game!

The name is quite accurate because I got "lost at sea" a few times before I could deliver my first package, haha

Initially, I missed having some kind of indicator of my position on the map. However, once I got used to opening the map every time I saw an island and trusting my instincts when there was only sea around me, I appreciated doing it the traditional way.

I also liked the game's aesthetics and mood, such as the names of the villages and the boat effects. Overall, the game was a great experience.

Great job! :D

Joy by Neollok 2023-05-01T14:17:39Z

I loved the aesthetics of this game! The color palette is lovely, and the sound really sets the mood.

I tried to reach the third power-up, but I think I'm just really bad at playing this kind of game, haha! I'll try again later with a fresh mindset because I really want to reach the end.

As for feedback, I think the time between jumps could be a little shorter. Sometimes, when you have to move long distances, it can be a bit tedious. However, the music and overall mood do help make the movement more enjoyable.

I really liked the mechanic of allowing multiple jumps. Overall, great work! :D
