sorry, The screen scaling is off so I couldnt experience the game in a way that u intended. everything was too zoomed it and I couldnt see any UI elements (on the map there was just the corner of a button showing through)

I really enjoyed playing this game!

The name is quite accurate because I got "lost at sea" a few times before I could deliver my first package, haha

Initially, I missed having some kind of indicator of my position on the map. However, once I got used to opening the map every time I saw an island and trusting my instincts when there was only sea around me, I appreciated doing it the traditional way.

I also liked the game's aesthetics and mood, such as the names of the villages and the boat effects. Overall, the game was a great experience.

Great job! :D

okay, you did it, i realy lost in sea, but then i understand how realy use a map))

Love the pixelated graphics, nice color palette, but the jittering was too distracting. Some solution to this would be nice. Good core idea, there's a lot of different ways you can expand it and make just swimming between towns more interesting - like pirates, wind direction and some kind of events. Good job)

I got lost once then figured out how to use the map lol. Very charming game, not sure if it was just my side but there was no audio at all, the art though was absolutely charming. A tad bit repetitive, I gave up after 4 deliveries. But all in all very good game!

Great game that shows perfectly how reliant we have become on waypoints or other navigation systems. I managed to deliver exactly 1 package before I got lost. So props for the name, it fits well! Jokes aside, this is a great entry, I think finding your way with just a map and your surroundings is an interesting concept and you managed to capture the essence of it pretty well. Maybe some more visually unique landmarks could make it even more interesting. Well done!

willm 2023-05-01 17:02

Yeah, i didn't have time for audio and some more visually distinct landmarks were in the works but i didn't have time. I'm hoping to get the game finished over the next couple of weeks for a itch.io release

Immediately got lost. Can confirm exactly what it says on the box. I really like the art of how the boat turns. The font on the map is a little unclear and it seems like they overlap sometimes.

oscarglo 2023-05-02 09:52

I enjoy the idea of having to sail using a map like a paper map. There were some visual bugs here and there, but I like the boat textures as well as the particles.

cinterre 2023-05-03 04:50

Much more chill than my boat game haha! I was worried about not having location marked on the map, but it was actually nice to have to navigate using landmarks. Been a while since I've had to do that. Well done!

nick-baggett 2023-05-03 17:18

Nice cozy game! I liked sailing around. It would have been nice to have some things in the ocean to make traversal more intersting like wind boosts and sea monsters, but its impressive the little world you have created. Great job!

manioora 2023-05-03 19:29

Very cute game and the boat controls great, but the UI did **NOT** want to co-operate with me. The names get mushed together and duplicated (?) on top of each other, so I could not find the destination for the first package. Still think it would be a really cool and enjoyable game if worked on a bit more!

wahooney 2023-05-03 19:36

I'm a sucker for sailing games, Wind Waker, Black Flag, etc. Even though I couldn't play much because of technical issues (text scaling, duplicate town names in the map, overlapping text) I still really enjoyed this. I hope you take this further.

alpalcalad 2023-05-03 19:41

The art is soo cute i love it. The map position was rough at times but that was all part of the game. Could have used music or ocean sounds but given its a jam thats fair enough :P

snakemuho 2023-05-04 17:25

I'm a sucker for freeform exploration, and this was well done! If the map text was more readable, I could've even used a mode where you don't have a tracker and have to find the destination point by yourself too.

Hope you release it on itch with audio and stuff

danyclockworker 2023-05-05 12:27

Beautiful and cute game!

firespike33 2023-05-06 09:21

I kinda like that it forces you to use the map to navigate. Map text is a problem though as others have said, and the lack of any long-term goals meant I wasn't motivated to keep playing for that long.

Is this a bug? LostAtSea_DKbpmp6mx0.png

You have a very good palette. I often disable marker and minimap in games, and doing some stone quarry exploration I'm used to not having GPS position and use environement to not get lost. So I'm glad to have this kind of zen game whithout marker where you have to keep things in mind to not get lost.

Unfortunately, it lacks a bit of feedback at sea to keep the fun going. I would have made the area slightly smaller.

:sailboat: Nice boat !

thetatautau 2023-05-06 11:03

The game launch in 4k for some reason, whereas I don't have a 4k screen, so everything is zoomed in and I can't play.

Nice art anyway!

larsievl 2023-05-07 16:37

Very relaxing it did seem extremely performance heavy though and it misses some music. but overall very relaxing!

the-martijn 2023-05-07 17:35

Mmm, for some reason I don't get any objective or quest. It is just the map and boat I see...

sleepystudios 2023-05-13 16:46

Nice idea for a game. I like how you did have to properly use your map to navigate around instead of just following an arrow or something similar. Like others said, would've loved some music or ambience to tie everything together but other than that good job.

juanrod707 2023-05-13 20:33

I love these type of games where you have to find your way and identify landmarks to navigate. very cool!
