Just brilliant
Great and funny experience! A+ for the polish and jukebox feature
Very fun game! at times it kinda plays itself but the whole unstable vibe is very present. Great job!
Thanks to everyone for the kind words, we've been discussing a lot about tutorials and such. The vision of the game was in part to give some context, in part to let the players explore and discover.
@minibobbo the fuel control provides less output, less temperature and creates grit in the pipes. the power control is more risky in terms of temperature and provides more output.
Another difference is that the power level moves much slower than the fuel level, when you move the slider, the actual value of the property slowly matches the one given by the input
Very very fun!!!
I'm gonna give it a second chance because I really like the concept. I think that the main issue is that I can't see the movement of each piece after the turn ends, I think it'll help understand the mechanic. Otherwise, its a very interesting game!
Great game, amazing sountrack!
Cool concept for a practice/learning game. Audio questions, even with auto parser would have been great.
Addictive and fun controls!
Fun and challenging game, the random events create a lot of tension at points. I think that instead of the arrows, a mini map would have been a better way to communicate bearing. Overall is a good game bit it lacks polish, sound and atmosphere.
Fantastic game!
Gorgeous relaxing game, amazing job!
Very entertaining game, now I really wanna play billards in space. The concept is very fresh and the game is very intuitive. The auto camera switch is kinda violent and the game could really use some sound and atmosphere tho.
Great game! The idea is very well presented and executed. The controls feel a little bit odd, like it should be more arcadey and the atmosphere is lacking sound. Otherwise, brilliant game!
very satisfying controls!
This is fantastic! all of it, great job!
Brilliantly unique, great job!
Amazing game! very simple and addictive
Great job, I like the concept a lot, would encourage you to take it further, deeper complexity with the current mechanics
Very very cool game! Found myself doing more than 30 cuts, loved it
Beautiful game!
Cool concept, going back doesn't take you exactly to the previous exact moment, really enjoyed it
It's a very cool game! Would've loved to get a more arcadey feel as I find rigidbody platformers to be kinda painful to get the precise jumps and stuff. But overall, loved the game
@b4ux1t3 I know, I get the struggle haha, first thing that comes to my mind as a possible solution is to freeze the movement while rotating the stage, this could be an easy workaround to avoid overlaps
Very cool concept, once you get the hang of it you just send clones everywhere, nice job!
Loved it, every part of it. The 3d/2d mix, the puzzles, the gravity change. Great job!
Liked the challenge and I appreciate the amount of diversity when it comes to upgrades! Cool game
Very well done!
Beautiful game! would've loved that the places changed every playthrough
It's a struggle, but an enjoyable one, nice work!
Masterpiece of jams, just, speechless. Congratulations to the team for delivering this!
Wow, very grim and immersive. Great job!
Such a great experience, kudos to you for getting all that content in the game.
Wow, really cool game, 10 seconds level, love the concept! The collisions seem a little bit off, other than that, amazing job!
I like the concept a lot, but found it too sluggish to keep me invested
Thanks everyone for the feedback and love, I was very close to trash this entire game and wrote [a post](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/51/10-minute-apocalypse/$308806) about it. It really means a lot to have pushed through and end up with good results.
Thanks again!
@boxedmeatrevolution & @fudgeawsome thanks for the feedback.
The freezing bug on multiple levelups was actually something I feared but could never test out properly
Regarding the hitboxes, its resolved using raycast, therefore there are specific cases where a bullet will go through an enemy if it is at a specific angle or distance, regardless, I had that same feeling that the bullets went through enemies, but after running a frame by frame analysis I discovered that what you actually see is the trail going through, the bullet never hits the enemy, thus making that illusion that the bullet is going through.
Regarding the aiming, yeah, it takes a little bit to get used to because the bullets are not aligned with the center axis from the start, so you will shoot towards the point you aim but the trajectory is not exactly straight from the axis. Also I think different resolutions will affect the aminig, but I haven't tested it that much
@automatonvx thanks for the feedback. The drones, main character and all of the music were made by the team during the jam, I had to fill in the remaining stuff with 3rd party assets and sounds so we declined the graphics and audio ratings.
No idea what I just played but my guy got super drunk
Fun game, could use a lot of polish by camera shake and stuff like that
Fun little game, I do appreciate the double viewport a LOT
Cool music and game, but the strobe thingy is really painful
I am now a tasty high school principal... however that may sound. Brillinat Job! <3
Its WarioWare but spooky!! loved it, nice use of the 10 seconds
Wow you got so much stuff done for the game is amazing. The game itself it feels like stardew valley on roller skates, its challenging but fun. Nice work.
Super fun game, gets very addictive. Great sound, functional graphics, the difficulty system is amazing. 5/5!
Beep
Great spin on a classic, also the tension is really well communicated, loved it!
What a great game, played twice to get the perfect score, really see this as a bigger thing
cool chiptunes, keep on working on this project for a couple of weeks, you'll find that whithout changing a lot you can add a ton of value, for example, sfx, feedback effects when shooting or killing, like camera shake and better feel of the weapon. Keep it up!
Really liked this game!!! The music fits perfectly, would love to see some gravity fields added to this game, specially when you almost hit the side of a planet. Amazing job
So cool in many ways man... I just didn't get the whole candle thing.
Fun game!
Everything about this game hits the spot, except the feel of the gun, it sounds rather weak, besides that, I loved the game.
Fun game, can see this being a cool local multiplayer game
Very cool game, great atmosphere
Wow, very cool design and concept. I love these games where you eventually become an expert in some lore stuff. For this game is identifying plants. Really liked this game, amazing work!
The spice must flow <3 love to see a Dune themed game
This game makes vegans return to meat, 10/10
Well... you made an addictive game in a LD, congratulations. Only wish it had audio, other than tha, amazing game!
@diesdas that's actually great feedback! To be honest, not sure where I was going with the gun-tools, maybe a little too much slime rancher influence. Thanks for the comments!
@binaryprinciple really like the idea of cutting bad branches, spraying bugs was one of the things I planned to include but I ran out of time
@loig thanks for the kind words. You can't shape the trees but the stat modifications actually happen, one of the features I couldn't finish because of time was displaying the tree stats in the bottom panel. But the progression works
Simple and fun, good work. I like the concept of stealing other farmer's harvest, maybe add a mechanic where watermelons don't just pop up, but actually grow in place.
Other than some UI bugs, great game. Very good visuals and art direction in general! Amazing work for the time constrain.
Stardew meets overcooked, nice concept! I really like how well this is put together, maybe a little more info on how you are supposed to play the game would be nice. Very enjoyable!
I really liked how the hole game is put up, It's very nice to have all information available and going back and forth. Didn't finish yet, but I'll shelf this one for later. Great and unique entry!
Nice one, would definately love to play it with some physics tweaks, the aceleration seems strange at first, it kinda pushes you forward strong and then you coast at max speed
I like the music and the art style above all else. Nice and complete game, great entry!
Fun game overall, but the sound of the tree once its fully grown destroyed my ears. My advice for you, since this was your first jam, if you had saved a couple of hours just to test and tweak the values, you would've delivered a great game!
Those are some bigg ass beetles
Well I paid off my student debts. The game is fun and fairly challenging if you want to speedrun it.
I love the scope of the game, I think you definately have something very cool here, I can see it working in a split-screen as well. Congrats!
Fun game, cool controls, loved the music and the fact that the delivery sfx sometimes gets on beat with the music
Very impressive and tight gameplay, its also filled with little details like package sizes and cute character animations. Congrats on making this!
Very cool entry, the music adds so much tension!
I love these type of games where you have to find your way and identify landmarks to navigate. very cool!
Wow this was a very good game! very addictive and gets challenging quite quickly. Would love to play it with mouse for the pane elevation and 4 keys. Great game!
Amazing on all front guys! Super fun, kinda hard to understand how the values change but once you get the idea it flows amazingly. The stowaway mechanic is perfect
janky physics always deliver fun! great game, but most of all, great NAME!
cool concept but the start is very slow and frustrating
Amazing mood and polish, beautiful game with a relatable story. I'm impressed on how much content there is in this game. This is one of my favourites this Jam, great job!
very cute game, cool concept and good controls, would love to see this mapped to controllers and released in consoles
Really liked the idea of using the limited space. One thing you could test is to add a time to install and uninstall modules but the modules would have more impact. So that players don't exploit quick-switching
very fun game and you managed to get a lot of content inside! It does feel a little bit janky when it comes to the movement, but hey, physics games!
took me a couple of tries but I managed to defeat the hero, you did a great job implementing the hero AI to really feel harassed at all times. Great job!
Fun game, love that is physics based but not janky! :D
Beautiful graphics, once you get the whole incremental+tetris thing it becomes more fun!
very good graphics, and cool concept but I felt it a little bit too slow
super fun game! Would love to see actual traffic behaviors such as parked cars going into traffic and traffic cars parking and stealing your spot.
Great atmosphere and art! Loved the concept is very well implemented, not sure if there's an ending tho
very cool game, would benefit from some tutorial or just onboarding text. Overall, loved it
Fun game, controls are very responsive and visual effects look very cool, enemy variety is very impressive! I'd add lots of feedback just as polish phase.
Loved how you simplified the classic pirates mechanic! Great way to cut corners without sacrificing the main concept.
One of the best sumo games I've played! Amazing job team! Lots of detail and polish went into the game :) would love to see this more fleshed out
Amazing game!!! I had a similar idea on friday but decided to go a different route. I found myself playing your game for a while, really addicting and the music just adds so much!
Great job!
Awesome graphics and general mood, very hard to master but easy to grasp. Congrats on a great entry!
I liked the idea a lot, very fitting to the theme. I'd love to see some more quirky features like enemies that fire a special bullet that rotates the falling pieces for example.
Great work!
Good concept, very innovative indeed!
Yeah, this got me hooked, amazing job! With a little bit more polish and variation this could be something very interesting, it have me a lot of vampire survival meets zombie driver vibes.
@trsthstrs unfortunately being a 2-person team we couldn't find the time to make our own 2d art that fast. Good call with the workaround of the shadowy figures, still, it is a challenge to generate and edit images so that the style is consistent.
@poshdan thanks for not spoiling!! There are in fact 3 ways of finishing the game, the whole plot is implemented but you have to use some deductive thinking.
@jvolonte they do progress the story, its all about balancing the story without neglecting your job, there is a story ending :)
very cool puzzle game, challenging and easy to understand, would love to see a second iteration where you actually get to see your abomination fight
Incredibly polished, you nailed the art consistency, congratulations to the team!!
Great game! very relaxing and I loved the constraint of being able to only turn in 90 degrees. Great job!
Lovely atmosphere, you managed to pack so much value here! Congratulations
God, this game scratechs so many itches, just couldn't stop playing. Amazing work!
Love the idea and implementation, I feel like the game is rushing me all the time and doesn't let me take my time, but I get that is the main concept. Overall, loved it, great game!
I'm speechless, such a heart-warming game filled with action. Amazing job getting this done in 72 hours! It has everything, audio, music, art, cinematics and a fun gameplay. Now I need a new mouse.
Very fun and challenging idea. Amazing Job!
How did you crammed all those levels in 72 hours?? Amazing game! great job
Very fun game, extra points on the humor part! I can see this developing into a dark humor game for sure. Amazing work!
super fun game, I think you nailed it with the aesthetics as well. Awesome job!
Very interesting concept, I love the idea of micromanaging a giant beast/machine inner workings. I think the game is a bit confusing or some feedback is missing. Either way, I'd love to see this concept explored further. Great job!
Simple and fun, great job!
Holy crap! Loved this game, very action-packed! And the narrator just adds that level of immersion. Amazing Job!
This is my favourite so far, I'm impressed on how you made such a compact addictive game with such simple but functional visuals. 5 stars all around! Great Job.
very cute and challenging puzzle, nice job!
Loved this concept! To use your rival strength to get score is a brillian twist on the cat and mouse concept. Great job!
@sutt00 thanks for the feedback and the kind words! I spent some time tweaking the values and made the spiders tanky to promote tactical play. Regarding the lack of awareness and compass... it's something I attempted to implement but struggled to get it in a place where it felt right so I ended up scrapping it to avoid confusion.
Try spamming 1 and 2 to place a lot of squads at once :)
This platformer feels so gooood! Amazing entry, super fun and challenging.
Hey man, don't stress out about completing the game. You got to a level of polish most participants don't get to, I'm glad you found a cool concept to build further :)
Loved the environment! As an arena shooter would have loved to have a little bit more movement mechanics, I think the game looks great but lacks polish. Putting some effort on animations, effects, and feedback would have gotten this game very far.
Nice job!
very cool game concept, I love the simplification of strategy games. I'd love to see some more mechanics like the idea of setting up dynamic a pollen route and not having to micromanage the entire sawarm. Overall, amazing entry!
Great job! The late-game feeling where you get overcrowded with ants is horriffic!
Very cool game, beautiful art! Great job
Great strategy game! very complex, challenging and well balanced for the ammount of time had. Nice Job!
Amazing atmosphere, really digging the entire vibe of the game and the use of light mechanics. Congrats!
Wow, amazing and fresh concept! congratulations guys!! this was very fun to play. Can't imagine what you guys could do with more time!
Bro did you even sleep?? Great work!
Cool concept, I can see this going further with all the different effects allowing you to reach new areas. Great Work
Great concept! love how you implemented the imput, I can see this game taking a more QWOP approach where you have to balance the shield/tray besides walking. Overall, very fun entry!
Amazingly fun puzzle game, you can tell the team pured a lot of love into this. Congratulations!
Wow, I'm impressed, amazing work, you managed to get so many features and mechanics in such a short time. Would love to see this become a full game.
love the polish on this game, great entry!
Amazing work, very brainy game. I love the relaxed twist of clmbing up a ladder according to the value of your books.
Great visual polish! love the characters and the whole mood of the game
@woona as far as I know, you've gotten the furthest in the game
Love the art consistency and the dramatic music. I found the game quite unforgiving, as soon as the ghosts touch the pot you lose with no delay whatsoever.
I really like tghe idea, found it a little bit overwhelming at first, there should be a way to spend money to see at least one trait of the next bully IMO. Great entry!
Movement is very inconsistent, other than that, cool concept and very cool visuals
Great entry! I loved how you organically included the dig minigame. Had a lot of fun playing this one :)
Very sketchy curator, loved the concept, congratulations
Very solid game! I'm impressed at how intuitive your mechanics are. You rarely find a strategy game that is easy to understand. Amazing job!
Great audio and overall direction with the very dirty city. Nice Work
I crashed the game, but at least it was while doing some evil stuff. Liked the concept, I think the controls need a little bit rework, max speed is waaaay high
I really really like this concept, it has a lot of potential for a racing-battle thingy like gretchin. Amazing work
chill little game, would love to see this implemented in 3D for better atmosphere
Great artstyle and mood. Congratulations!
Super fun and addictive, it gets really hard quite quickly. Amazing job!
super cool concept and overall polish! Congratulations, the only thing I can complain about is the 1Gb download
I had fun! didn't know the game so I'm happy I learned a new dice game. Very well done, aside from the fact of some dice ending up outside my field of view, it could really use some chill music.
I had a hard time understanding the game, it was not untill the end of day 1 that I understood about illegals and legals. The font choice was not good, really hard to understand the location names.
Strong storytelling here... it turns super creepy and weird quite quickly, really caught me by surprise. Congratulations, great job!
neat little puzzle game! Great work!
I looooved this game, challenging, chill, great mood and artwork. Plus points for the chillest version of take five I've ever listened to. Great work, will definately keep playing this!
awesome entry! very good atmosphere and mood, I agree that a little sound design would have made this game really pop! Liked the swim mechanics
Insane amount of polish here, I don't understand how to solve the puzzles yet, I get that there are patterns in the distances between the beacons and the relays but I think there's some sort of feedback missing there
Fun game, plus points for the smooth car control and very good implementation of the waves minigame.
Liked very much how you added the orbital element into the incremental genere, there is room for more dynamic gameplay for sure. But its a fun game
This game has no right to be so well polished and original. It's not a dopamine game, it's more chill, and I love that vibe, congratulations on a very impressive entry.
Very nice RTS experience! loved how dynamic this game is. I managed to play many games in like 30 minutes, kudos for that!
I found that the best tactic is to play defensively instead of over-extending, build a tight economy, survive the rush and then unleash a never ending fleet of drones
super hard but very satisfying and polished as hell, congrats!
Super cute and innovative way to teach music and sound! Amazing execution
Superb entry here! Great implementation of the theme and orbital dynamics. Also, the auto-orbit feature.... brilliant
that was intense, love the track!
Man, I love these puzzle games, just trying to learn several systems and keeping up with time sensitive stuff. Great implementation and very impressive to have put together all modules!
Loved the concept and implementation, I think you did a great job with the drivers AI, not too dumb, not too strict. I can see how adding distractions and small minigames or rush hour events could make this game great!
Interesting idea, unfortunately it was impossible for me to play properly as I was experiencing 300ms lag :(
Loved this game, wish the connection hotspots where a little bigger, but overall, superb entry!
I think you have the bones for a cool chill game here, with a little more interaction like signal decoding minigames and a little more visual feedback it could have been a very solid entry.
Great mechanics, chaotic as hell, really enjoyed playing it
Amazing visual, audio and really fun to play. I can see this becoming something bigger and better, you even added narrative elements. Top tier!
Amazing execution and work with atmosphere! very nerve-racking in the good way
One of my favourite entries this LD!!! Feels so satisfying to get a groove going and just lining up all planes. Amazing job!
Cool game, very cryptic. I can see a whole game being built around this mechanic where you have to accept payments from villagers to do the correct rituals.
very cool polished game, nice work blending arkanoid with the theme!
Amazing game, kept me playing for more than an hour. I think some of the puzzle checks are bugged out because I clearly had the right message at the end (complexity 4) but it wouldn't validate.
Overall, amazing game!
Wow, you guys crushed the atmosphere, those backgrounds and the audio!!!
good gameplay, tho maybe the wordle puzzle should have been implemented prior to the delivery, as a signal decrypt or something like that.
@podrez thanks!, yeah, that bug... I spent a considerable time trying to fix that on saturday, I just gave up, it's something related to the new input system in unity. In the end I played it so much using the number keys that I completely forgot about it.
@xotraz thanks! Killing subs would make the game too easy, and yeah, ultra wide and other ARs that are not 16:9 were way out of scope, but I'll patch it for sure :)
@cazik21 no shot of making a Mac build, I lack the hardware to do so. HTML version works fine from itch, LDJ site always has problems with the browser player.
@baturinsky @igorekkedziorek @vikingx84 The goal is to prevent the threat from escalating, hold until the timer reaches zero
- Use the spotter planes to know where the subs are. - Use the boats to jam the signals from the relays before they reach the subs. - Use bombers to reduce the threat.
Sometimes you need to park your boats on top of the subs because their threat level is almost full, sometimes you have find the best position for a jammer to block most angles of communication between relay and subs.
It's a game about positioning your units between enemy lines
@kaijiro @okkolobr thanks both for the praise, I understand your opinion in the subject, I'd say I used to be the same but changed my mind over time.
I think the ethical discussion applies to useage of AI tools in high-budget projects, but when it comes to smaller indie or even prototype-size stuff, the use of these tools help bring the polish level to a higher level. That being said, I would have opted-out of the graphics category if more than 15% of the assets were generated with AI, which is not the case, I used AI to generate 3 assets in total and edited the results, the rest of the assets, including the voice lines were all created by me in the 72-hour period.
It's always hard to explain actions in a tactical game but I think you managed to do it very ellegantly and simple. The one dimension battlefield really works out for your game. Great job!
Pretty impressive for doing it with no engine, movement is really frustrating tho.
Very neat short adventure, loved the minigame progression, congratulations on a very well-rounded entry!
Fun game with a neat idea behind it, took me a couple of tries to understand its all random :D. I immediately found a cheat, if the police is on your tail you just get out of the car and they will drive by, same if you are about to crash.
Loved it! Is there a bias to what you get? I felt extremely lucky playing this game, I was pulling straights too often.
I like that the idea is that you are not Rambo but you have to use your platoon, kinda reminded me of the original concept behind the Brothers in Arms game, I think that if you polish your AI (enemy attack smart, npcs take cover, etc) you can have something really interesting
Love the atmosphere, this game destroyed my brain after shift 3
Neat entry, considering how often you use the walkie, the whole flow should be a little bit faster. Really smart and elegant use of the sectors!
Amazing atmosphere and vibe, congrats on a great first entry!
Loved this game, very unique concept, my PC started dying with the eternal files task. I can see this becoming something bigger indeed.
Very moody, great job combining the different sections!
visuals and audio are superb. Found it kinda strange to use the steering wheel as a directional control instead of turning and resetting.
Neat little game, ended up playing like 10 levels! If you are planning on add some more to it, I'd love to have something like a scouting shot, something that allowed me to see a little bit further. I think there's potential here.
Love the lore, steampunk holy wars! Liked the game very much, would be cool to have an external view like a camera hooked up to a TV inside to see the smoke coming out
Very cool implementation and design, loved how well thought your maze layout was. The only thing that felt weird for me was the directions being switched on the rat's perspective and not the camera, while it makes sense if you think about a realistic scenario, it is strange from a player's perspective
