Always exciting to see a multiplayer game
The game wouldn't run for me. Windows 11, AMD with on board gfx. :8ball:
This game was really fun, even if I couldn't figure out how to navigate the kitchen but I actually really love the concept of the game. I don't normally like multiplayer games, mostly because I think they're too risky to make. But this game, I can completely see why you'd want multiplayer, and I think Unreasonably Fast Food would be a great gamenight sorta game where you're chilling with your friends and just goofing around having fun. The game and the idea is silly fun, cooking food while you deliver it. I had trouble trying to navigate the city and buy food in time to cook it, and I wasn't able to cook it, but half the fun was driving and rushing to get all the ingredients. The music and audio fit really well with the game, and the art was simple but it looked good. The main criticism I have is that orders should have more time to deliver, it feels almost impossible to get all the items in time, but that might be my own skill issue or that I was playing solo.
Overall amazing game, with more polish I could actually see this being a successful game that people would base their gamenights around, would play with their friends and just have fun all around.
It is a cool game, I have fun driving the car. The driving system is sophisticated and real as I really cannot save my car after I flipped it haha. However, I felt like I always lost my way to goals. Anyway, goodluck! Welcome to play my game as well.
@oddballdave thanks for letting us know, it's held together with duct tape right now because we hit such a time crunch at the end but I'll look into that!
I like an idea of the game, the first impression is rough, but I love the fact that I have to do several things at the same time.
Can't speak on the multiplayer but overall cool idea. I think the concept is pretty cool but when I started playing the game I had no idea what to do at first. I really liked the graphics and audio as well and thought it fit the feeling you were going for.
Solid, fun game! I could see this being a huge blast with friends, totally along the lines of Plate Up! or something similar. Cool concept to have a driver and I love how the van physics mess with the kitchen too.
Couldn't really test it properly (the multiplayer part) but I do like the promise of the game. The driving part is pretty fun, even if a little unsteady. Found it difficult to keep the truck upright while going fast, though I imagine the resulting chaos ensuing in the kitchen would be a highlight of the game.
This feels like it would be a fun multiplayer game, but the problem with those it requires other people... The driving part feels great, but I failed to figure out the cooking part.
I'm sorry but I didn't understand what I was supposed to do in your game because I couldn't get the order to code or create it or I was too stupid to understand it. I would be happy if you could tell me briefly how it works
This is incredibly sophisticated even in a month I couldn't make something like this. Nice work. I love all of the graphics too. The aesthetic is great but the models are great too. Nice work!
I love the scope of the game, I think you definately have something very cool here, I can see it working in a split-screen as well. Congrats!
I was very confused for a while. I tried playing multiplayer, but didn't expect everyone to be controlling everything and for the screens to be the same for everyone. Eventually I abandoned that and just played single player. I was still very confused about how to actually cook. By the time I got all the ingredients I needed, the orders had all changed, but I had already spent all my money on the previous order's ingredients. For a jam game, I'd consider scoping down a bit.
The graphics were great, and the driving felt pretty good too. As a coop game, I could see this being very fun having to coordinate driving, cooking, and navigating with a group.
good luck with the game launch is all there is to say haha
you have the makings of a good game here. it just needed more makings
From what you had, looks like a really solid start. I also really liked the toon shader you used for the graphics. That being said, I couldn't figure out how to do anything in the kitchen, and I kept flipping over when I tried to drive lol.
Love the idea, and it feels like you did a ton of stuff in just 3 days. But still, i don't think the game is playable? After understanding that the spacebar allows me to stop and buy stuff, i tried to mix water and flour and the game crashed when i picked up the result. Also, the order's text is too small, maybe it's just a scaling issue but i had trouble reading.
I really loved the concept ! The fact that you did the cooking part and the driving part was a cool idea. However, I think that the car controls were a bit difficult and I didn't succeed to cook, I couldn't use the ingredients :sob: . But again, i loved the idea, and the music too !
