What an excellent little game. I may have broken the UI spamming modules in and out. But this was fun. Great Job!

@thenerdster thank you! There is an equal chance you broke the UI or you got hit by a meteor that breaks the slots makeing them unuseable, really should of made that more clear
Hi. Could you fix error, please :)
>Release.framework.js:10 InvalidOperationException: Sequence contains no elements at System.Linq.Enumerable.First[TSource] (System.Collections.Generic.IEnumerable`1[T] source) [0x00000] in <00000000000000000000000000000000>:0
I want to try this game, but can't.
@alexey-akulovich at the moment I couldn't find why that error appears on the LD page, for the time being the itch.io link works: https://freamdev.itch.io/vessel-run
There's definitely some potential here. Balancing the gauges while keeping an eye on the mini map can be fun, maybe with more feedback and a more straightforward way to equip/unequip modules.
Man I really love the low-poly ship with the bloom of the engines and shine of the cockpit. Its simple, but it evokes a retro Asteroids vibe in a new setting (same for the asteroids). I'll admit I didn't understand what was going on when I couldn't add any more modules, but I read your comment above and it sounds like they were intentionally disabled from damage. I think this game would be great with a little more juice/UX. Nice job!
@rend Thank you for givint it a try  some UI feedback and linking the modules to keyboard instead/next to the mouse sounds like a more enjoyable experience.
@nick-rafalski Happy you like the ship! Modelling it was the most I learned in this project
Great idea! I liked the look and core mechanics of the game
Really like the idea of swapping out modules depending on what's going on. Feel like some more player feedback would go along way. Like how meteor damage impacts you and what the overall goal is.
You have a fun concept here! The idea that you have to switch active modules to balance different goals that change across the game is inherently fun, I think. There were some bugs and lack of polish that were hard to ignore, but the bones are there for a fun experience. Also, doing 3D modelling in a solo entry is crazy, nicely done! :tada:
All the parts of a great game is in place, if it was finished It would most likely been quite enjoyable. The graphics and UI all works fine. The shield shader looks really good!
Something broke in the game, when shield was dropped to zero (maybe it is death), but my ship started moving fast without losing power and I was not able to equip new modules. - Idea with balancing resources and swapping them is interesting, but it is hard to quickly react to asteroids, when you need to remove module and add other module (also, looks like one shield is enough to sustain meteor damage with sufficient power - Bug with modules and ship speed is frustrating, because I can't actually understand when it happens and what is does - Adding some sound effects (simple music, collisions, engine)
Overall idea is good, but realization is not on par, I'd recommend fix bugs and UI issues before adding new content / features, but there are some cool design ideas and art is nice too
@torte478 Thank you! Hope you had fun.
@snesgaard Cheers for trying it out, yea deffinetly need way more feedback when something happens, some juciy screenshake, good old startrek type
@bloodyaugust Thank you, the LD jams are the only time I try to 3D model myself, it's a good motivation to improve a little every time! Hope you had a decent time with the barebone version
@gettingrekt Thank you! Did that shield shader so many times now I could reproduce it in my sleep
@rusya-ink Wow I have no idea how it broke like that, thank you for playing the game and the feedback!
I get to finish in 206.2678 s. Good idea with resources balancing. It looks like I always have full speed bar...
i somehow made it through and finished in 236s, my shield stopped at the last asteroid both times ^^
interesting game, I really like the shield effect you got there.
Very nice and clever idea! I enjoyed the game, thank you
@mozokevgen @ididgame Good job getting to the end and thanks for playing!
@zealous-coder @kiv Thank you, happy you had a nice time!
Really liked the idea of using the limited space. One thing you could test is to add a time to install and uninstall modules but the modules would have more impact. So that players don't exploit quick-switching
@juanrod707 Thats a great idea, if/when I get back to this project I'm deffinetly adding it! Thank you for playing.
I gotta say, after the first game where I tried to proceed slowly and carefully and got destroyed, it felt so good to bust through the first asteroid barrier with nothing in shields and full engines ahead, hahahahahah. It felt like I always had to have 2 in power or my ship would shut down, so that made me feel like I didn't have as much choice as I originally thought I did. It was interesting that power affects the engines moving and my shields charging but it didn't seem to affect my shield staying up. And the speed was kinda weird. I seemed to move even with no engines, and I'm not really sure 5 engines made me go much faster than 2 or 3. Still, really fun, thanks!
Aim reached in 194.9513 :) Very nice little game ! I like the idea, and it's easy to grasp. Too bad there isn't a bit of sound to complement it. Also, the icons are a bit confusing, especially when you need to think fast.
Other than than, nice little entry. GG.
@jason-shapiro Thank you for playing, super happy you enjoyed it , about the speed others also reported that it bugs out under some mysterious circumstances...
@hakro Wohoo as far as I know you hold the world record! Thank you for playing
Nice entry, could have made it easier to hotswap modules ngl. Felt really good to breach the first asteroid shield with no shield to spare lol.
@erroneous Thank you! Yes I feel like I worked way too much recently with mobile UI and forgot how uncomfortable keyboard + mouse gets if you need 2 mouse  Thanks for playing!
Nice mini-game. Feels good to juggle the models. If you gain some speed and then remove all the engines, it looks like the ship is going insanely fast and you don't have to use any slots on the engines.
cute and interesting game ! great design of limited space, wish for more content of this game ,nice work
Nice idea. Needs some more work and mechanics before it becomes really fun, but I enjoy the take on the theme. Well done!
Awwyiss I made it! Had to restart a couple of times. I enjoyed it! It was stressful to switch out modules :) Well done! gtr89ghr09gh8.png
I really like the concept here, the idea can be really good, though it really needed some more polish. I managed to get some nifty bugs where my shields broke, but I was impervious to damage and my spaceship started to fly really, really fast!
Good work dude, it'd be great to see the game compleated, but as is it is great!
@obittner @ivan-b There is some terrible janky code handling the ship speed and it breaks a lot :slight_frown: thank you for trying out the game!
@mango-malarkey Thank you for playing!
@notime4games Wow awesome time! Thanks for taking the time to play it
This is a good concept! The graphics are very nice, it's missing sound to tie it together. Got some bugs but it's completely expected of such short time. Hope you keep building on it!
@vasco-rodrigues Thank you for the kind words!
