Hey I like the concept. I kept restarting by accidently pressing r instead of e. I am not sure whether the amount of time till impact incentivizes the need for upgrading. I find I want to be really choosy as to which ones I choose an in which order to make it easier. Not sure speed, accel, make it any easier and I wasn't sure how range played into things and if I even need to care. I will keep playing to see if they work themselves into play if I get good enough to escape.

@tudvari That is a fine strategy, I think what was bugging me was kind of weird, I don't know if it is input related or hit box. It led to a little frustration. Balancing the challenge the way you did I think is fine. I think though there is a balance between making something difficult and making some frustrating. So like in the design if you made the placement of roads really easy you'd probably have to increase the difficulty somewhere else to compensate.

I just played it again and I know what it is, I expected the placement of the roads to be at the characters feet but I think you are using the center of the sprite. I'll see how far I can get now.

I also hosted on a local web server and played! Good job! I was able to hit a few targets but only because I had the camera looking at the player from one side. There are a lot of targets on both sides. I also turned myself around and feel into the abyss :laughing: which was great.

@lathomas64 there isn't a lose condition. I will need to make a final goal achievement where you'll be asked if you want to stop playing or continue. There's a few more ideas I'd like to work in to add variety and a little more challenge.

Gotcha, yeah I see how the numbers are a little confusing. The original concept was that you were delivering sleep by catching sheep, baaa. Though that changed a bit to that you are trying to deliver a particular number of sheep. In the least amount of time.

Very relaxing experience, was a little unsure at first if there was a goal. Obviously didn't read the description. It takes a quite a bit of time to get to the mountain. Do you ever stop????

I like how you set the game in the webpage and in the canvas very seamless. I think the wind sound is too quiet I was hoping for a point which the character jumped off the bike to stare at the mountain and perhaps give me a sign that the game was tracking my delivers in some significant way.

I think there's potential in this for sure. Well done!

I was oddly frustrated with the inability to build a lot off of where I randomly found myself. I managed to block off my ability to build to the right anymore and left just oddly got truncated. I like the lanterns or bulbs or whatever but they did not seem to do anything. I thought may be they would make and robots in the room continue working during night time or something.

without any real goal once building as much as I could I was only curious about seeing how many I could keep alive. Though to be honest without counters that was difficult.

@greenpig Yeah about those controls, its outside mine sadly, those are pico-8s built-ins. If you have pico-8 and play the cart file you can rebind them using the keyconfig command as one option.

@kanagg Awesome, as you could tell it was a frantic dash to add the title screen in there and game over screen. And I hear you on the difficulty in mastering the controls. I think that it became part of the fun. As it kind of plays into the idea of being a good wizard.

@zimny11 Thanks I'm glad it kind of came together as most of the time was spent on playing around with some simulation pieces. As for the spell selection mechanism I have a few ideas and I do hear you on the looping while fighting.

@little-doctor-games So fun to watch you battle on stream really appreciate the two of you doing reviews and having fun with it. And appreciate the feedback and suggestions keep up the good work.

@digitaldude555 Thanks I'm glad you got some fun out of it. Good suggestion, I will play with some kind of ways of extending the battle a bit and trying to get some more tense moments out of it.

I was hoping for at least one more element of difficulty to be introduced. I liked the explanations and progression of the levels up to a certain point then found the later levels repetitive. Also seemed a little weird to me to have all the pipes disappear when clicking on a single color I would have liked more control over which got removed. Can confirm the lag spike after like 4 pylons, I am running a potato. I love the art style overall well done it was a bit forgiving as I made some mistakes in the beginning and had to destroy one building. I am a sucker for a building/management game. I felt there might have been some counter balance to create some urgency I noticed you could over deploy your robots but not sure if it did anything. I see the definite Frostpunk influences (which I love).

I did not exactly like the constant menu hiding/showing I had to do I feel like that was a hinderance. Not sure why you choose to do it, I would have liked the resource icons always visible same with the building expendables. If they would collapse/expand on hover is an easy option.

I like that you actually disabled with a warning if you remove robots from a pylon or destroy one, kudos on that. Of course after meeting the goal there was not much reason to continue building except to perhaps see what was out there and how far you could take it. As you can see I'm a messy builder not much incentive to organize. Overall great job!

Sadly...nope I ran out of time, didn't even have time to tweak in some last little progression elements to at least make it challenging. Would be extremely easy to add though. Just need to tweak the litterbox.lua to store and decrease the timeout amount to increase cat frequency, and increase the speed of the cats and probably health too.
