LD53 — Delivery

Bagelseeker by alaah 2023-05-01T14:08:01Z

It feels like a super chill platformer, but it's quite hard to get far. The first jump immediately seems impossible, until you realise you actually have a triple jump. Even then, it feels like the game starts pretty unforgiving right from the start. To improve the game, it would be good to have a difficulty curve to slowly ramp up. If you wanted to make a really unforgiving platformer, the controls should probably be a bit tighter and less floaty, because it is quite easy to accidentally fall off with the current controls.

Overall, the game looks and feels nice, it's just a little bit too difficult.

Milky Way Mail Day by neonlare 2023-05-11T11:55:58Z

While the game was quite hard and I couldn't really get past the first few levels, it had a pretty polished and fun feel. The sound effect of the packages ponging of the asteroids had me laughing hard. I think the game could have used a few easier levels to build up more intuition on how the packages move through gravity, but strong effort overall!

Package Peril by RosyMaple 2023-05-11T11:48:51Z

Overall a pretty fun game, but would have liked some way to keep track of my packages and/or to highlight the houses I need to deliver to, because it was a little bit hard to keep track of where I needed to go.

The Corporation by deformhead 2023-05-02T14:27:43Z

Very nifty game. My jump didn't always work, so getting through the jump puzzle was a little bit annoying, but I loved the theme and the idea of the colour fading as you collected the resources. Definitely some cool ideas in there.

Trains and Factories by Itskdog 2023-05-01T13:59:00Z

It is really impressive that you were able to build a factory game like this in such a short time. It feels like there is a really good amount of content as well to keep you going for a while.

I found it really hard to understand what exactly I was doing. It took me a while to understand cities were destinations. I also wasn't quite sure how to make trains go the right way. Once I had a small train network setup, it seemed like trains would just go back and forth between the two factories without visiting the assemblers.

All in all, the amount of content and the complexity of the game is impressive, but it is hard to understand exactly what you are doing if you don't really understand the underlying game mechanics. Overall though, great job!

Deliverance by EpicGameFan 2023-05-15T11:14:12Z

Thanks for reminding me of how bad I am at platformers!

Delivercey by Yani 2023-05-01T13:46:22Z

I like the mood. There was definitely _something_ going on there. The simple graphics actually worked. One thing that I was confused by is the green spheres. They didn't really seem to do anything. The bar to the side is also never really explained. I think introducing the mechanics a bit better would have pushed this game to greater heights.

Apricot Kernel by riley9 2023-05-02T14:19:25Z

Felt very deep. Absolutely loved it!

E.G.A.D.S. by floralvikings 2023-05-02T14:00:05Z

The art style is lovely and the attention to detail is amazing. I managed to hit the marshaller and you had a special graphic for it, which made me chuckle out loud! The game itself is simple but took me a little bit to beat the harder levels. Great job!.

BlackOut by Skaaaza 2023-05-02T14:05:30Z

It took me a few tries to understand what was actually the goal of the game, but once I did, I managed to get through the levels fairly quickly. The graphics and presentation were quite good! My main point of feedback is that the levels are quite unforgiving, and if you miss a single dot, you basically have to start back over from level 1, but in the end I managed to make it quite far through the levels. Great job!

Parcel Pinnacle by zerozed 2023-05-11T12:07:10Z

I agree with the sticky controls, I think fixing that would really elevate this game. One thing I really did like is how integrated the tutorial is with the gameplay. That makes it feel really organic!

Almost Cold Pizza Delivery Service by LorenzoCgt 2023-05-02T13:56:10Z

Absolutely lovely implementation of the theme. The whole game just radiated chill for me with the music and the graphics. The tiles it gave me were sometimes a bit of a trap, so it feels like you would at some point lose because the tiles run out, but overall a great implementation of an all time classic.

Unicast Network Simulator by Richard Baltrusch 2023-05-01T14:13:12Z

Such an original idea, I love it. The unique control system adds a new challenge layer to the game, and the graphics and music just fit. I did have to restart a few times just to get a map that didn't have too many connections too close together since sometimes it was hard to see which number corresponded to which direction, so that could've used some polish, but overall lovely game!

Portal Package Panic by PtitJao 2023-05-11T12:02:33Z

Wow what a lovely game, and I love the little touches throughout. The music speeding up as you lose lives, the little screen shake, the graphics. There is so much more gameplay you could build around this, but I think you did a great job balancing the amount of gameplay with the overall polish, and managed to make a really nice addictive game. Great job!

LD54 — Limited Space

Plan It Out! by Decipator 2023-10-04T18:25:11Z

I am probably way better at slotting in calendar events into an already full calendar than I should be proud of, but having it be turned into a game with such an amazing underlying narrative, amazing! Love the interpretation on the theme, and the small little references and joke here and there (Blue Alive Redemption 2, instant classic game, right?) It would have been nice if I could have turned down the background ambience a bit and maybe skip the dialogue to be a bit faster, but overall they don't degrade what is otherwise a great game!

The Legend of L0nk: Tears of Encumbrance by tomrijnbeek 2023-10-04T18:12:32Z

@mmason it's always hard to strike the right balance music wise. We'll keep it in mind for next time, and maybe include an audio slider too! (The Ludum Dare community _does_ seem to like its sound sliders after all)

The Legend of L0nk: Tears of Encumbrance by tomrijnbeek 2023-10-04T18:13:08Z

@sirrafufl @saflei thanks so much for playing and sharing your experiences. We all know that punching a beholder is the best way to kill it though, right?

The Legend of L0nk: Tears of Encumbrance by tomrijnbeek 2023-10-06T16:17:45Z

@igor-fam thanks for the feedback, and we're glad you liked it. And yeah, that orb drop when you only have _limited space_ in your inventory really sucks, doesn't it? :smiling_imp:

But we hear the feedback loud and clear. Not being able to discard items you already picked up is an intended mechanic, but we could have done better communicating it (and with the multiple levels we had planned, would have been a mechanic we could've eased the player into more). We've added a section on this page clarifying it, and in future games we'll definitely improve our messaging. Thanks for the feedback!

The Legend of L0nk: Tears of Encumbrance by tomrijnbeek 2023-10-07T09:35:35Z

@jamesw Great score! Glad you had a good time.

@fernandabatista Yeah, web browsers don't always like audio players, so that's unfortunate it didn't work. Glad you still enjoyed it though!

SDS: Space Delivery Service by wisstopher 2023-10-04T16:43:16Z

Love the way of telling a story. Introducing the new mechanics in such a creative and organic way, you have a knack for tutorialising games! The one piece of feedback I would give is that the game feels a little bit on the slow side, but you kept it fresh with the surprises.

High Leaf Celestial by dxk2294 2023-10-07T14:48:07Z

Love the foundation of a game here. Really impressive to build a game that feels so extensive in such a short time. The art style felt consistent too, and the characters feel meaningfully different that you can use them in different ways for strategy. The camera dragging felt a bit wonky on the web client, it took me a while to figure out it exists in the first place. Overall I think the main feedback I have was that the pacing of the game felt a little bit slow. The inventory management was more of a nuisance than an actual interesting challenge, and I think making the levels a bit smaller (and maybe split into smaller standalone sub-levels) or a better way to choose how to spend your inventory space would've made the game even better!

Limited Judgement by velvetlobster 2023-10-03T15:13:37Z

What a profound little game. Having the game circle back on itself like that is a really interesting idea. My piece of advice would be to include some instructions on the controls in the game, since that got me confused for a bit.

Face the Dice by Bastienre4 2023-10-03T15:00:58Z

What a great game design. It feels balanced and fun. In my case the game took quite a while as neither me nor the AI was rolling any stars! Definitely a lot of depth and great job at making it possible to play it single player with the AI. The pacing of the game is a little bit slow, and I think you could improve the game a little bit by adding some additional sound effects, since the game got across as a little bit sterile. That being said, amazing to come up with such a simple game allowing complex strategy that is a creative interpretation of the theme.

[ Space ] by Whirlwind 2023-10-18T21:11:55Z

Such a nifty little idea. It starts simple, and the game is a bit slow, but I like the escalation and after the first twist, I thought it was incredibly clever. Loved the ending as well.

One thing that I think the game could use to be even better is if there were upgrades for the earlier power-ups to keep them relevant later on, instead of ending up spamming them a lot instead.

Walking The Pig by Frank Gevaerts 2023-10-12T09:42:45Z

What a lovely little game. Albeit short, it had some real feel good vibes. I didn't think the interpretation of the theme was very strong, but what does it matter, I got to go on a walk with a pig!

Train Jam by dat198 2023-10-04T18:30:31Z

Loved the concept really. It took me a little bit to understand you also need to UNLOAD passengers lol, but after that I started to get the hang of it. If this is your first game you finished, you did a really good job. Hopefully now you've gotten a taste for it and we'll see an amazing entry next Jam

Spinstack by massivejack 2023-10-04T17:47:59Z

I had a lot of fun playing this! The game felt really finished, and you expanded on the simple premise of placing blocks with some fun effects the blocks could have. The game starts seemingly simple, but it escalates into a mess trying to keep the island afloat. I would maybe have considered making the scroll wheel rotate the block, since the zooming doesn't seem super useful, but what am I even niggling about? Great game!

Robo Rush Hour by michaelaranda 2023-10-03T15:06:47Z

A simple idea and elegant reinvention of Tetris. I am not sure if the timer was necessary, since it was hard enough to puzzle out how to fill the train without feeling the time pressure. Especially if you had made the required fill percentage higher over time, that would probably have been difficult enough. Still, loved the graphics and the music. The game felt like a solid whole and I wouldn't have guessed it were a game made in 72 hours by the looks of it!

Last God's Bidding by Daxic 2023-10-12T09:52:03Z

The level of polish in this game is great. The music and graphics felt consistent, and the difficulty level was tuned nicely. I didn't realise I would actually win after 50 years, but it's nice I didn't _have_ to end with destroying the planet. I can see a lot of potential for also allowing adjacency bonuses to add another layer of complexity to the game, perhaps for a full version of this game?

The arrow keys + spacebar controls made rotating a bit slow at times, but I can appreciate the choice to also support gamepads. Not something you see often in game jam games, so I really like including that!

Slugs by inque 2023-10-10T18:29:10Z

Lovely idea combining snake with battle royale. Unfortunately I felt the controls were a bit laggy, which didn't quite allow me to make the amazing last minute turns. Definitely needs a bit of polishing up on that front. The graphical style was pretty cute and neat though, and overall the concept was good.

Train Trouble by Harmadillo 2023-10-07T14:35:21Z

Love the interpretation of the theme! The idea of having to prioritise what you take on the train is a great shout. There are a lot of different parts to the game, and it's impressive to see all of those in a compo entry. Unfortunately it felt like the game lacked some polish, with some typos and inconsistent menus here and there. Would really like to see the game with the systems worked out a bit more!

Veggie Rush by boostas 2023-10-03T14:50:57Z

What a lovely little chill game. From the bigger environment I can tell there were a lot more plans, but I LOVE how the game is rooted in a small little universe. The board to show the prices was a great touch. Good interpretation of the theme too. It would be nice if switching seeds showed the seed you were holding as well as maybe having a button to switch to the sickle, but those are just minor details.

Capurrcino - Your Own Cat Café [v1.2] by Aetherswitch 2023-10-04T17:56:12Z

With a catchphrase like that, how could I NOT play this game when it popped up on my feed? Neat little game. Not too stressful. It wasn't clear I needed to surround customers diagonally as well. Once I understood, it became clear what to do. It's a bit of a shame there is no reward for completely clearing the board of customers, because now I'm placing cats randomly until a customer shows up, but otherwise, nice execution!

Doodle Defenders by martinboue 2023-10-10T18:24:10Z

Lovely game! Nice consistent graphics style that is easy to interpret and understand. I like the variation in units and they each seem to fit in a nice role, and there is a nice power escalation. Overall the game seems well polished. I'd love to see it further expanded on with upgrades, and maybe break up the game in more distinct waves to avoid it getting a bit too monotone.

Boris Hard 4: Boris Harder by AStrayRae 2023-10-04T15:53:20Z

Such a fun little game. Love the trade-off between upgrades and losing space to play around in. I could definitely see some cool expansions on this idea. One thing that could be improved was that the orthographic perspective made it a bit hard to see enemies or the character sometimes, but otherwise, super creative interpretation of the theme!

Disk Defense by Congeesetador 2023-10-03T14:34:56Z

Such a fun take on the theme. The one annoying thing was the enemies coming from the top not giving me a lot of time to shoot them, and I also wasn't quite sure how to use my powerup, but the low disk notification and game over screen were great touches. Love the sense of humour.

Crime Duty by HellHound 2023-10-04T18:11:03Z

I definitely see what you were going for here. Very intriguing game and I loved the escalation. Unfortunately at some point a cutscene started playing and the game seemed to be stuck. I am not sure if it's the ending or it's a bug, but nevertheless. The corridor puzzle was a bit hard to figure out, I may have missed a hint somewhere. That might be a nice place to figure out if a player got stuck and help them along the way. Overall, definitely amazing mood you set there with the changing environment and music.

Bottle Royale by Nales 2023-10-04T17:50:09Z

That game has a learning curve, wow! Still, love the concept. Simple yet elegant, perfectly fitting within the theme.

LD55 — Summoning

Kiss, Marry, Kill by telo.philippe 2024-04-16T20:15:48Z

Love the little portraits and for a first attempt at Godot, really impressive. I found it a bit hard to figure out what exactly to do until I decided to do the one thing left which is being summoned.

Tao by leorean 2024-04-21T21:37:41Z

I am impressed with how many different ways you managed to combine the reasonably simple to understand mechanics into great puzzles. Easy to learn, hard to master for sure.

Summoner's Quest by Macbarette 2024-04-16T20:08:51Z

Agreed with LocksmithArmy that the UI is a bit slow, but overall it was fun to play through. Amazing work for the jam.

Well by Debugdancer 2024-04-16T19:41:59Z

It would be great to have some hints in the game as to your controls, because I was quite confused why I couldn't do anything until I realised I needed to pick up the bow first! Still, impressive work for a game jam.

Farming & Demon Summoning Simulator 2024 by thimmythimble 2024-04-16T19:57:41Z

Love how you took off the edge that typical summoning games have and ended up making something more pleasant. It stood out during the rating

Summons by Talif Moor 2024-04-16T19:48:20Z

Honestly what a funny little game. Love the idea. I think the main thing missing is to make it all pop a little more. The butler moves a bit slow and there isn't really any juicy feedback for interacting with thing. I think that would really drive home the chaoticness of this game.

Lil Lads Hit the Notes (Or fall into lava and they don't want that) by Josion 2024-04-16T20:18:23Z

Once I figured out I could only click in the bottom area, the entire game clicked. What a fun concept. Fits the theme perfectly and is very original and innovative, as well as well executed. Great job!

LD56 — Tiny Creatures

Little Pecker by Rohun 2024-10-16T18:21:00Z

What a great game. It took me a while to get the hang of it, so it may be worth putting a bit of an onboarding in, but the art style and fun little touches really drew me in. Great job!

Critter Conflict by SpiRiTs 2024-10-09T17:17:04Z

Love the art style of this game! I had a good time, and the game generally felt great. Love the little intro (though I can see it getting annoying if you have to restart a lot). The game did indeed crash for me when I did in mid-air.

The bosses had interesting and unique mechanics, but felt a little bit punishing. It would have been nice to get health drops during the fight to stay alive for longer. The biggest thing I felt missing was a health bar, because I had no idea how close I was getting to finishing up the bosses.

Still, amazing art and amazing effort for a jam game!

Those Darn Nanobot AI Will Be The End of Us All by mrspeaker 2024-10-09T17:10:17Z

This is such a cool and unique art style. Instantly gave it its own vibe. The game was quite self explanatory too, and including the "good guys" really added an extra element of not just button mashing.

As to your question regarding strategy: I don't know if it needs it. Having it be a reaction-based game is totally fine. As others said, maybe introduce some additional abilities or "kill everything now!!!" button to add an extra layer, but it is already a lot of fun by itself.

Carrot Patch by Historymaker118 2024-10-09T17:34:35Z

Super simple and elegant game, yet surprisingly addictive. The twist of the tractors together with the grey carrots really make you think how to navigate.

My biggest problem was that trying to hold down direction keys there was a delay before moving, so I ended up tapping the controls and oh boy is my RSI going to regret playing this game for too long tomorrow.

Love Dance by chispaLBC 2024-10-09T17:05:18Z

What a cute little game. Short and simple, but executing is flawless. Love the art and the sound, and how self explanatory the game is with the moves being instantly recognisable as one of the four directions. Great job!

Pill Sub by Nikolas van Rus 2024-10-09T17:24:25Z

Well polished and well balanced game. It would be nice if the difficulty scaled a bit better. The two guns always broke at the same time, so having some randomness introduced there and maybe make the game scale in difficulty a bit faster would be great. I think the game would also have gained a lot from slightly more feedback when you do an action in repairing. Overall though, I loved the consistent art style. The entire game felt coherent and the controls worked well. Easy to learn, hard to master.

Wink and the Fae by Pious 2024-10-09T21:41:53Z

What a lovely game. The art is amazing, and the game is simple but engaging. The main thing missing was a bit of an evolution of the mechanics. The enemies got more powerful but you could only really counter them by shooting a lot so it would be nice to have some kind of powerups or pickups for that.

Other than that felt super polished and the little dings when delivering the friends was a cherry on top. Great job!

Soul's Descent by maneoliz 2024-10-09T17:28:53Z

The music and the big Cerberus starts the game off right, but the platforming just didn't feel very fluid, so it was easy to get stuck. It wasn't clear to me that you had to use the launchpad to go up either, so the game definitely needs a bit more polish. Nice art and music though.

LD58 — Collector

Unarchived by strong99 2025-10-21T20:11:22Z

Fun little exploration game. A little bit short, it would've been nice to see a few longer trade quests like the ghost one, but overall I enjoyed the art. The music was a bit repetitive but it didn't bother me too much. I do agree that the bigger images than the screen were a bit clunky, but nothing that I couldn't work around. Good job!

Criss Cross Catacombs by juxipolo 2025-10-21T20:00:13Z

Super original concept. Making use of the Scrabble mechanics but putting it on its head and making it a dungeon crawler, really liked it.

Letter Collector by lunarDust 2025-10-17T21:10:19Z

Cute design. Was missing a bit of polish, but loved playing around with the game.

Light Runner by Avi 2025-10-09T20:12:06Z

Fun little game to play with for sure. It would be nice if there was a bit of a reason to collect the score, it felt a bit random right now, but storing the result as an image was a cool unique idea!

Apple Basket by Zliebowitz 2025-10-21T20:04:55Z

Pretty straightforward interpretation of the "collector" theme, yet not one I have seen somebody do previously. I think all the previous feedback has already covered it: really has a cool retro feel, nice job on keeping that alive with the animation that takes me straight back to the origins of games.

So Many Gems by VarunReddy 2025-10-09T20:52:27Z

Agree with the previous feedback that it does get a bit repetitive. Overall pretty fun to have a "number go up" game, but it would've been nice - especially for a jam game - to have a way to win. I made the game super laggy since I could smash all the rocks so quickly and there were gems anywhere. That was enough of a "win" for me

Tow Truck Debt Collector by Enad96 2025-10-09T20:33:46Z

The graphics style really brings back memories of the old Console games that first started experimenting with 3D, you captured that really well. I also enjoyed the AI cars drifting around adding some life. The towing was a little awkward at times when you wouldn't attach the car straight, but overall a very solid entry and made me have fun.

Kobolds In Space by WeirdBitGames 2025-10-17T21:17:04Z

Really fun concept, though even with the tutorial not super obvious how to get started. Figured it out after some time and then the connection to the theme makes a lot of sense too. Overall, amazing sense of polish, well done.

City of Promotion by Nilan 2025-10-20T19:17:10Z

The tutorial in the beginning had me worried, but overall good concept. I didn't end up using a lot of pieces, so the balance is maybe a bit off. Would be cool if the different pieces had more use. Still, cool and original idea.

Call Hector, Organ Collector by TheLastSlowpoke 2025-10-09T20:22:38Z

I literally loled when I realised what you had to do in the game. Really dark, but made me laugh. Finished all the organs too: amazing way of having different difficulty levels!

Supergalactic Trash Collector by 7uc4s 2025-10-22T17:03:41Z

Lovely little concept. Loved the graphics style especially, though would've loved to see the pixel art style extended more into the UI.

Wed & Shed by OlesjaDarkMoon 2025-10-09T20:16:00Z

Interesting concept. Pretty tough game though, I struggled getting through the harder characters. A bit of a stretch from the theme, but overall quality and execution pretty well done. I am surprised how many different characters you managed to finish!

Arsene Goupil by Balkhmogaehild 2025-10-09T20:26:45Z

Cool concept, though it would be nice if there was some kind of tutorial (either in the game or on this page), because I wasn't quite sure what I had to do.

Split Dawn by lazury 2025-10-09T20:40:41Z

Impressive level of polish for a jam entry. Moving pushes and amazing details in the pixel art. Liked the soundtrack as well, and amazing to tell such a story in a game as well. Adding some sound effects and feedback when clicking would've really juiced up this game and elevated it to the next level.

Hexa Fort King Collector by EmojiMaster 2025-10-20T19:21:18Z

I liked the level of polish and the idea. Had fun playing for a bit.

Magical Knights by Gusse 2025-10-22T17:20:55Z

Amazing that you managed to finish this in a game jam. Complex mechanics, great art, really liked it. Had some trouble running it in the browser and probably needed a bit of a balance pass, but all very understandable for a game jam game. Great job!
