Interesting entry and fits well to the theme. It felt really polished and I liked the visuals even though minimalistic and the audio. I felt that the cycles started to add up a bit too fast and most of my tries ended on the 8th cycle. Maybe also the viruses could have been a bit more visible. Many times they just blended in too well.

Nice graphics! I really like the style and idea. Agree with the previous comment though, couldn't get past the 10th cycle

Yeah, this is super tough but a really cool idea. Couldn't get past 10 either- the difficulty ramps up really fast.

But the puzzle itself is really neat, solid jam-scoped idea!

Great little game ! Pretty difficult but good ! The music is cool but th melody seems randomly generated in tune?

archaeognathus 2025-10-09 21:18

Really cool and unique idea, topped with a brutal end screen. Stop code: skill issue xDDDDDDD Barely managed to reach level 9 I think. Its easy and fast to pick up, but :poop: hit the fan really quickly, but the overall feel is very polished :)

Really creative use of the theme, got a high score of 700. The difficulty was pretty hard, I think increasing the freeing window and making some of the colors more distinct would make it a little bit easier. I think the viruses being somewhat hard to distinguish was fair, it makes you split your attention between two parts of the screen. Great work!

Game looks interesting -- dont have a windows machine tho :( DO you have a youtube vid?

This was an AWESOME game. Great idea on this! It was very challenging But I had a lot of fun with it. Great cohesion on the art too. Fantastic job!

Great take on the idea, we also thought about garbage collector, but your implementation is really fun.

I really enjoyed this one, great take on the theme and well executed! The difficulty ramp certainly struck me as well; I think that the main thing was missing which programs closed and then not having enough time to go through the list one by one during the next cycle. Something as simple as a couple of blinks as they closed may have been all that I would have needed to keep better track. I liked the effects on the viruses, both the subtle flicker in the grid and the name swapping in the list were just enough to draw attention without being super obvious. This was a great way to take the Collector theme, I wish I had thought of it! Great job!

Quite challenging to play past some point as people said, but it was really funny and quite a unique idea! I really liked the blue-screen as the game over screen haha. I feel more empathetic with the OS cleaning up program memory now.

Nice take on the theme! I considered doing something with garbage collection but couldn't come up with a good gameplay idea for it.

I found the cycle mechanic slightly frustrating, since they switched quickly enough that it just felt like there were arbitrary times where you're not allowed to interact. I think the big thing that contributes to that feeling is that there's no action that you can only do outside the garbage collection cycle. Either slowing things down and making the two phases feel much more distinct or making everything real-time in a single mode would have felt better, but as it is it's in a weird middle ground.

A part of me wants to nitpick that you're playing more as an operating system than a garbage collector, but I get that it's probably artistic license so you can have the funny program names :)

The OS theme was great loved the slightly covered classic windows background and BOSD game over screen! Most people have already touched on the difficulty ramp, so I won't say much there though it was rough with the similar colors for my colorblind ass lol. I do wish you had a tad bit more time to look at your board but like the game over screen said it's a skill issue haha great work!

ophiene 2025-10-22 00:41

Amazing work! It's super interesting and has a vert unique way to paraphrase the theme, good job! And welcome to give our game a try! :)

The game is good. I like the theme interpretation of the game, but I also like the theming of the game itself. It is unique in that regard. One thing I can mention about the game is that is hard, very hard. Perhaps a difficulty setting should be available.

zshandi-krahn 2025-10-23 05:30

Cool concept, but I found it way to hard to identify the colors! Maybe would help to keep the application shown but with an X beside it until the memory is freed or something, especially since some of the colors are so similar!

Also, would be good if there were a web export. I see you're using Godot 4.5 with C# though which doesn't yet support web export. But if you at least export for all the major platforms that would go a long way (and it's typically as easy as installing the template for the platforms).

Side note: I used to use C# with Godot, but decided to just go full GDscript and have really enjoyed it. There's only a few high-level things GDScript is missing still, but overall I think it's better than using C# due to better integration and less verbosity in a lot of things. And I do use C# all the time for my work, which is also a language that I enjoy using, so nothing against C# in general, but would personally recommend trying GDScript for Godot :)

Interesting graphics and idea,it was fun to play but got to hard at the end

ciphereo 2025-10-23 11:20

An interesting game that interprets the theme in a unique way. This is very interesting and the music is pleasant to listen to.
