Airborne Adventures by firellon 2023-05-03T20:53:09Z

The dialogues are a bit cheesy ("Oh let me just disable the wall of chainsaws keeping you from my girlfriend"), but I guess its intentional and it makes them actually very funny. Even though you did not finish the story, I am already positively surprised by its length and intrigued to hear more! Beside that I also liked how many different mechanics you included and the artstyle is very beautiful. Add some music, finish the story and this could become something much bigger. I would be up for some further gameplay! Some issues I encountered: - after I died for the first time, my hearts were invisible until i got damaged again - some jumps require some amount of luck, since you sometimes can't see far enough to know wether you will land on an enemy or a chainsaw. This can get a bit tense if you are on your last heart - using A,D and space for controls felt a bit weird for me. Why did you not just use WASD or the arrow keys? Adding something to jump down through rooftops could also be a quality of life improvement, as I often ended up on top instead of on the islands. All in all a very nice work :)

Catnip Express by rubentipparach 2023-05-02T06:31:40Z

Wup wup wup wup very nice vibe and miau miau miau miau miau voiceover and music. Wasn't sure how to find the cats first and flew off to a random planet, before I realized you can see the distance. Now i have a catchy tune for the day ;)

Mouth Feel by ColeSlaughter 2023-05-05T07:08:03Z

One of the weirdest and experiences of my life. The story is hilarious with one plot twist or WTF after the other. I could really feel the desperate struggle for trying to communicate and I'm happy there was no way to check if what I said made sense. Even though I gave it my best shot, I probably sounded like someone falling down a long flight of stairs for most of the game, but I was really eager to hear the ending. Would love to have the possibility to hear a playback of the conversation xD Amazing job, please keep on going! :D

Timeline by Avi 2023-05-02T18:08:39Z

Very cool idea with the web scraping, but I think I found some wrong dates, or at least misleading card descriptions, that were very funny though :D The card on "Classical period begins" said -480 and "Rotation of earth" might have been discovered in the 19th century, but probably started sooner xDDD Later I will check out your github, always curious to see some python.

That one time I became Merlin's apprentice and was tasked with destroying his... by manmantas 2023-05-04T19:49:29Z

Graphics and music are amazing and the story is also definitly something I havn't heared before, but gameplay wise I'm missing a lot of feedback and balancing: - I did not know how much hits something could take, or even when I hit something or got hit myself (only be means of my health going down) - animations are very cool, but seem to not align with whats happening ingame, since you can spam attacks much faster and already get damage when touching enemies, even though their animation has not started yet, - The biggest enemy with the shield and axe were the easiest, since they somehow did not hit me, while I took them out in meele. The smaller dinosaurs however sometimes took half of my health in instantly - The mana regeneration through kills was almost non-existent for me, since I only got 6 (?) per kill, but needed 10 to cast a single spell. I usually got my mana from dying over and over again. Maybe some kind of automatic mana regeneration or cooldown would be easier? That beeing said, I still enjoyed the experience and vibe of the game and am impressed by how much you managed in such a short time. And with some adjustments it would probably be awesome ;)

RogueLike Delivers by Ausstein 2023-05-04T21:26:53Z

I am impressed by the amoun of gameplay you managed to squeeze in into such a short time, although it can be a bit janky at times ;) I can add very little to the comprehensive rundowns of potential improvements, but would like to report I bug I encountered. On the snow fort map one of the very first enemies got stuck in a tree and would neither react to me, nor could I damage it in any way, preventing me from finishing the level. I endet up getting him unstuck through resetting myself, but that cost me the last 12 lives I had and since I could not shoot him uphill, I got instantly killed on contact. If you decide to keep on developing it post jam, I would definitly give it another shot and maybe even manage to beat it :D

RogueLike Delivers by Ausstein 2023-05-05T06:14:57Z

@ausstein Whaaaat?! Did I try to run into the wrong gate? Oo When I walked into the city area I turned right, as the arrow showed me an then straight. There the arrow pointed directly at a gate that looked like the ones you usually walk through, but it was half closed and I could not enter. Was that the wrong one? I feel so dumb now xD

Merge Barge by ashashza 2023-05-02T17:28:26Z

This was excactly what I needed after a day at work, Thanks! I could just grab something to drink, listen to the calming music and puzzle away. I'll have to admit this was my very first merger game ever, but it was easy enough to pick up, after some tinkering.

For me the difficulty shifted a bit throughout the missions. The first one is an easy introduction for the smoke stacks, but I didn't really get what the boxes are for. Only later I realized that they are just there to be managed and I struggeled a bit, while fuel was not so much of an issue, except for the beginning of the missions

Very nicely done!

Dimensional Delivery by DarkWolf 2023-05-02T06:44:16Z

The graphics give me some oldschool dwarf fortress vibes.I appreciatete that the gameplay is easy going enough to do while having a relaxed breakfast ;)

Sortcery by Theg 2023-05-03T18:52:34Z

Illiefog Greybeard that dirty old wizard ordered werewolf's stool thats somehow still alive... I guess due to lack of chewing :D The tutorial poster looks very nice, but is a bit hard to understand and did not fully prepare me for the stuff I sorted. I picked it up eventually, but a more direct feedback on the sorting would help, like already suggested by the others above. The very big packages did not fit into the teleporter and sometimes started flying around, but that could amost be a feature and not a bug. Was fun though :)

Spider Sorter by the_martijn 2023-05-03T18:35:07Z

Works really well and is fun, considering all if this was created in a day. I agree though with @stellarnightmare that it could start earlier and maybe also ramp up a bit faster. The first few packages can come in slow, so you gave time to get to know the mechanics, but then it takes a while to get really challenging. I managed to get until 48, before my brain collapsed... but maybe I just need more legs ;)

Moonrabbit Collection by DaFluffyPotato 2023-05-02T20:05:12Z

Very impressive graphics that, combined with the music, create a very chilled atmosphere. I somehow fell In love with the digging animation and sound and spend a lot of time just digging all over the map to listen (should I be concerned?) I also work with python and am amazed by how far you can come with it in such a short time :O May I ask a technical question? What do you use to "compile" you game to an exe? I use pyinstaller that I know from other, non game related projects, but some people get a virus warning and can't download or open the game :(

Drunk (?) octopus wants to fight (?) by FriesForFree 2023-05-03T17:30:54Z

Yarrr, it's a super fun idea and the octopus on the boat is hilarous. I ran into a few problems though:

- like some people already mentioned above, I also could not click to buy stuff and upgrades - some pirates were spawning in an on top of mountains - the movement of the boat without updates is slow, but not too slow, considering its a ship, but the reverse is a bit weird and I had some situations where I and the pirates "moonwalked" around each other in circles. - the gun are fun to shoot, but are on a random cooldown (literally)? Which seems to reset when you press the button, even though you didn't fire again

I still really enjoyed the vibe and drove around the map to explore and sink some ships. If you manage to fix the clicking issues, I would also give it another shot... (at the pirates) ;)

Love at First Slice by Dan Allison 2023-05-03T20:19:57Z

I am usually the last person to fall for romance stuff and have to admit I found the description a bit cheesy (he he, pizza joke) at first, but wow am I happy I tried it anyway! Yes, the delivery itself is a bit repetetive, but the pizza names are funny and creative. As I see it this was anyway just the price for progressing the story, which was extremely cute. Like I said before, I usually don't really enjoy romantic stuff, but that ending almost had me cry! Together with the beautiful art and music the atmosphere was very nice and made my day. 10/10, keep it up! <3 PS: almost broke my heart when I had to bin three wrong pizzas in a row in front of her eyes

Bullet Worm by resacaGames 2023-05-04T06:57:30Z

Most relaxed and colorful round of snake I ever played. The music greaes a relaxing atmosphere and the physics worked mostly smooth, except for sometimes when wanting to turn. The black squares are not much of a challenge, but it was already fun to just see how long one can grow and then curl up to wiggle that bulletworm booty, before delivering :D

Slime Delivery Service by protowlf 2023-05-03T07:01:37Z

Very cute game. Given the time contraints I'm impressed by the number of levels and mechanics that I did not initially expect. Neat little puzzles that are very intuitive to pick up. Would definitly come back to continue for more levels :D

Lil' Red Witch by Bluepir 2023-05-02T17:51:31Z

A cute little game - it was a lot of fun - but now I am bound - until this rhyme here is done!

I wrestled my keyboard - as I got yeeted away. - In the end though I finished - and buckled down to stay.

To finish this rhyme - in honor of your game - and now I am free - as I reached my aim!

After seeing the rhyming controls, I felt spellbound to come up with something ;)

SatisfAction - The Ultimate Marble Machine by MarkAis 2023-05-03T17:49:57Z

Very satifying indeed... until it suddenly spits out all the wrong marbles and it turns to action! :D The visual style of the game is very neat and the claw is a fun, but sometimes infuriating mechanism (as a claw should be).

Shitzza Ballistica by Archaeognathus 2023-05-02T08:45:18Z

@ashashza Unfortunatly there is no easy fix. This seems to be a longstanding issue with the python package (pyinstaller) that I use to convert the game to an exe. It packages my python environment with it. I read that some windows defenders react badly to this. So far I havn't found any alternative or solution for this problem. Running the source code should not be an issue, but that requires python and the required packages (pygame) to be installed, so I get that this is too annoying for people to try out a game :'(

Shitzza Ballistica by Archaeognathus 2023-05-02T08:52:41Z

@ellaris thank you for such an in-depth feedback! :) I already noticed when doing my final testing that the two columns for controls are a bit weird and that two rows would be better, but at that time I was already committed too much. I will probably update this for a future version.

Shitzza Ballistica by Archaeognathus 2023-05-02T16:39:24Z

@avi Thanks! I'm not very familiar with the process of creating a python package, but to my knowledge this requires "official" authorization, appart from the packaging, and you still need to have python installed. This seems like a lot of effort for a game. If you already have python and pygame, you can also just run the source code  But I might be wrong!

Shitzza Ballistica by Archaeognathus 2023-05-03T17:08:26Z

@bluepir Thanks :D I think you are actually much better at it than I am ... I dont think I ever got such a high score xD

Shitzza Ballistica by Archaeognathus 2023-05-03T21:09:43Z

@kutase & @resacagames Thank you very much, happy to hear you liked it. Making this game had something therapeutic, as I have a professionally aquired aversion of wood pigeons. This gave me an outlet by beeing able to put them on pizza, while creating more issues because I had to look at many pictures to draw one xD

@igly Yay another Ubuntu user! Sorry for not having a dedicated linux version. I coded this on my windows PC and usually run everything from source on linux. I appreaciate your dedication of still giving it a try.Your highscore is very similar to where I also usually end up :D

Shitzza Ballistica by Archaeognathus 2023-05-03T21:44:27Z

@theg somehow your comment only popped up now for me. Happy to hear you were entertained by it. It's personally not a flavor I would enjoy myself, but some of the choiced of toppings were actually inspired by an image search for weird pizzas ;)

Shitzza Ballistica by Archaeognathus 2023-05-04T19:09:57Z

@fruitflinger Thanks for the feedback, control scheme and progression can definitly be improved. @ellaris already suggested a row instead of a column layout, which I agree with. It was an experiment and by the time I could fully test it, I was already too committed to change it in time. But I might redesign the whole layout and put it sideways. Initially I also had some progression in mind, where ingredienta are introduced slowly, but this also fell victim to time. And yes, they want all the ingredients that pop up. The idea was that this should put stress on the player as you need to see and remember what they want. But yes, while this is easy with two ingredients at once, it gets super heard with more and I'll try some alternative ways to order :D

Logistics Professional by Apirei 2023-05-02T21:11:36Z

I'm always up for a logistical challenge. After I overcame the first hurdle of figguring out how to rotate things and what to connect to get money, it was easy to pick up and very addictive. I even kept on playing after I reached the goal, to try and connect everything. You can get quite far with these three tiles and I almost managed to build a splitter depending on timing and positioning. Would like to see this developed further. More tiles and clearer controls and you have me hooked :D

Deadmail by vaps1k 2023-05-03T18:23:11Z

Considering this is mail hell, everybody seemed to very determined to deliver these letters :O Amazing artwork! Took me a bit to figure out the fighting, but after I started to hit and run I even managed to defend against the larger mobs that would sometimes build up. After a few tries my highest score was 14. The mechanics are simple enough, once you figure the attacks out, but what really made me determined to keep playing was the map design, as I wanted to see all the different scattered buildings and details :) The music was also good, great job people!

Tropical Pizza by Fernofai 2023-05-04T20:37:48Z

Very cool idea and style, but the boats were excrutiating to wait for. I died extremely often because I got impatiant and then needed to wait again. This created a vicious cycle I got stuck in at times. Combined with the three lives I would usually rather restart when I lost a live early in the level, because I knew I need all the ones I could get with the boats. From time to time I would also randomnly get killed by a shark tail clipping through a boat or an island I was waiting on. After 20 minutes I finally managed to finish the game, but only collected a single Yum-yum in the process. Appart from these points I really enjoyed the views inbetween and the movement system. Gliding was a lot of fun too and I think you could have even encouraged this mechanic more ;)

Postman Bat by Tom Wadley 2023-05-02T06:13:48Z

Fun game with and the idea with the sonar is very cool. I know some people working with bats and I'll have to show it to them :) My computer had no issue running it, but I got a little confused in the beginning, since the flapping and sonar are connected

Boxlin by UnitOfTime 2023-05-03T18:07:05Z

I wonder who ordered/send all those frozen hamsters I just sorted :D The idea is very neat and the physics generally work surprisingly well and have a smooth feel. Only the big packages were a bit of a challenge in some levels as the some configurations made it almost impossible to fit them through (or at least I did not see a way). The music was nice at first but got annoying after a vew levels. Only after I lost for the first time I saw you can mute it with M. Since this also seem to work during the levels you could maybe display the button for it continuously. But in general it was a lot of fun and I tried out a sorting techniques, including spamming packages, which does not work very well but is fun to watch ;)

Unwanted Delivery by Creeepsy 2023-05-03T21:36:04Z

One Pigeon to rule them all, One Pigeon to find them, One Pigeon to bring them all, and in ~~the darkness bind them~~ bright daylight shit on all of their cars... for money! Really like the idea, story and description itself! While the camera can make you a bit nauseous in the beginning, I can also see the advantage, as a fixed camera could be tricky when flying "towards" you and effectively having reversed left and right. The game is quite hard in the beginning, but it's possible to dodge the eagles, as long as they don't approach right from the front, in which case I often didn't see a way to avoid them. Maybe an evasive maneuver that let's you pass through eagles unharmed for a short time frame could be an option? Had a lot of fun though :)

Shlivery by Jinge 2023-05-02T16:53:50Z

This game confused me on many levels. Its a very original idea, but it took me some figuring out that I should collect some thing, but avoid the bowel-meteorites.

Souls Delivery by Bulba 2023-05-02T18:31:46Z

The style looks very interesting and the idea sounds very nice. Unfortunatly I could not figure it out and got fired twice after delivering too many souls to the wrong place. It would be nice to have some direct feedback on your choices. But I am impressed by the amount of time you can spend just exploring the surrounding and look around and explore the details of the map. "What's a duck doing here?" also made me laugh :D

Fruit Flinger by FruitFlinger 2023-05-04T19:24:27Z

The flinging mechanism is really cool and after a few shots I managed to hit the boats quite well. But in the end I pretty much ignored the colors of the fruits as I found it was slower to find a match (or wait for one) than it was to simply hit two missmatching ones and get the same amount of points. So I personally decided for more shooting (very fun) and less walking, which was a bit too slow for me. I'm not quite sure, but I felt like some of the extreme angled shots did not fully allign with the visuals as they angle more than expected. But its hard to tell, without holding a ruler to the screen ;)

Baby Making Music by SebastienSiclait 2023-05-02T18:39:57Z

A fun little game and definitly an interresting approach to the theme. Due to my bad timing, a lot of babies got yeeted into infinity.

LD54 — Limited Space

Ship in a Bubble by Moebius 2023-10-03T15:23:47Z

Nice little game that kept me going for a bit. Are some modules rarer then others? I played five roundes and managed to get up to level 5, but all I ever got were lasers (of which I could only attachh 3 in total) or something that made me blink for a bit. Enjoyed it for a bit, but felt like the enemies could be coming a bit faster. Always had to wait for the next one to destroy ;)

Limited Space Under Press by asfdfdfd 2023-10-04T20:23:59Z

That was quite an interesting and unlimiting experience with catchy tunes ;) I really struggeled with the timing however, until I saw the first comment. Had to put my finger on the screen to mark the real hitbox, to not get distracted. Afetr that I managed to beat the game. Other than that, nice job!

Align The Sky by CursedEmbassy 2023-10-12T20:14:33Z

Wow that jump scare. Had to put my headphones to almost maximum volume and almost tore them off my head when the tentacle came xD I too struggled with the password, because I also kept trying "alive". I could also only type after minimizing the game first... no idea what causes this, but its relatively consistent.

Whack-A-Walker by a_a 2023-10-07T10:46:34Z

Fun little game to challenge reflexes and coordination. Theme wise I don't think its fits well, but maybe as aim trainer ;)

Headbanger's Beer Run by Bauke Regnerus 2023-10-03T18:02:04Z

What a wild ride... maybe too much real life experience? ;P Cranked up the music for best experience!

H.O.R.S.T. - High Operational Robot System Test by DorianSnowball 2023-10-04T19:48:55Z

Nice graphics and fun powerups. Was a bit sad when I almost finished level 5 but then accidentally rocket boosted out of the level and could not come back xD Some explanation about the pipe would also have been nice. I totally didnt see it the first time and figured it out just by chance. Maybe some floating arrow pointing into it? Also agree with prefering a nicer way to end the game then task manager or having a second screen to close godot in the task bar ;)

Backpack Quest by Nicolas Crapanzano 2023-10-05T20:07:34Z

A very fun idea, but unfortunatly the game crashed every time at the end of the round and just closes (windows version) :(

Backpack Quest by Nicolas Crapanzano 2023-10-05T20:35:34Z

@nicolas-crapanzano I didnt get any visible error or message. The window just closes :( Same happens when I run into the monsters at the back. I still see the black animation "closing" off the screen.

Apocalypse Express by KSEXLR8 2023-10-05T20:55:44Z

Very nice idea and beautiful explosions. Hitting zombies feels like running over minecraft players xD The camera controls while packing are however a bit annoying. Maybe it would be better to use the mouse (maybe while holding right click) or something... as a suggestion :)

Inside Out by Matootsy 2023-10-05T20:31:24Z

Beautiful art style and music. Had no issues playing it using windows and firefox. The tutorial was a bit annoying at times though, especially in the third level. Had to try a few times. First I destroyed the black hole, as I thought thats what the tutorial wanted me to to. Then I got stuck and couldn't get through, because I could only push the rocks behind while beeing "big". During the third try I also glitched through one of them at the end of the level. The concept and visuals are very cool though :)

Cabbage World by nikor 2023-10-12T20:23:53Z

I was very confused about what to do and died about 10 times, befor I realized what killed me. So when its multiplayer... does that mean the other figures I encontered where other people playing?

Dino Island 🦖🌊 by hilkojj 2023-10-04T20:09:41Z

Damn, those dodos can shove hard xD First thing that came to my mind when I saw the eggs... Untitled.png

A Little Bag Story by Vidu 2023-10-07T09:28:28Z

Very nice and polished art style and menus and a cute story?! Amazing what you managed in 48 hours :)

DoomsdayTruck by OldDog 2023-10-07T10:38:01Z

I dont think I ever played an LD game for that long... I unlocked everything xD All issues/bugs i encountered were already mentioned above... so all thats left is a thumbs up ;)

Crime² by RobLaro 2023-10-04T19:17:04Z

Super fun! I hope the safety on all of those guns is on, because it sure is efficient to stack them facing you. I wish sorting my stuff at home would be so relaxing... maybe I should also start storing things in chalk boxes xD Took me a bit to figure out the rotation system, but then worked very well :)

Snowlord by minjutin 2023-10-03T15:43:57Z

I'm terrible at minesweeper, but this was a lot of fun! Took me a bit to figure it out. On my first run I almost made it with random clicking, when I started "understanding" it actually made me worse. Bossfight at the end made me laugh my ass off... that was not what I expected!

Galactic Taxi Limited by Archaeognathus 2023-10-03T18:50:46Z

Thanks for the Feedback so far :) I unfortunatly lacked the time to do a tutorial or even just a cover in the beginning. But should have put text to differentiate between pickup zone and passengers and be more clear with their needs.

Congestion Crusaders by JDegs 2023-10-14T08:43:11Z

Wow, that was quite a ride... or ten of them :D Gave it my best, but couldn't get past a score of about 2300. I had a lot of fun trying to optimize the start and testing out the different towers and strategies. I think you did a good job at making all of them interesting and unique. Was a bit annoyed by what i though of were delayed responses when clicking on towers. But now I read here that this was when you couldn't afford that category, while selecting it. That is my only critique though... enyoyed it very much :)

Terrarium by wetrustinprize 2023-10-03T18:34:41Z

As biologist and long time keeper of terrariums and aquariums I was instantly drawn to this game. Creature design is amazing and combined with the calming music the only thing that kept me from running away in panic as I tried to keep my castix from getting eaten. Can't decide which are my favorites... Jarecol or deer-dragons :O

Gameplay wise I was sometimes a bit overwhelmes, especially in the beginning, before realizing how to optimize :D

THE TOILET TRIP by nicole-ham 2023-10-05T20:38:26Z

I only get an "error 404: nothing found here", when I open the link :(

LD55 — Summoning

Chefs from the Dead by Linky439 2024-04-16T21:45:12Z

Had some trouble starting the game as I initially didn't have Java installed. After downloading it the jar worked, but the exe still gave me the "no java" error.

It's a very funny idea and I understood the concept pretty fast. My only issue with the game itself is the randomness of the chefs you get and the food you are required to make. Happened to me twice that I had to make four burgers in a row but only got the Pigs, who dislike cooking them. But keep up the work. Always nice to see poeple coding the game more or less directly in a programming language :)

Ohhh... and my best score was 10!

Tiny Summons by Jeremy Ryan 2024-05-02T21:00:34Z

I am so amazed by how far you managed to bring this with python. So many things that I was not remotly aware of as beeing possible. Unfortunetly I couldn't find an opponent, but it was a great joy and inspirations nevertheless :D

Seamonner Survivor by Transkuja 2024-04-17T19:57:03Z

I lover the underwater theme of the game and the art! Took me one round to understand the idea, but then I realized very quickly what the different symbols mean. I just don't fully understand the mana. I never really used it up, since I was always limited by the divers health. But Maybe I also just had a bad strategy ;) Managed to get to level 17 max, when I ran out of time.

Wizzy Wizzy by Fractal 2024-05-02T20:26:15Z

The game has a really nice vibe. The environment reminds me a bit of a nightmare before christmas. Took me three rounds to finally win, which is the perfect difficulty. But with such a victory dance... who can be really mad at their evil twin ;)

Claws and Conundrums by LocksmithArmy 2024-04-18T21:50:37Z

Super nice atmosphere. Somehow that slight tremble in the music and something that could have been breathing inbetween made me afraid of a jump scare after reading the book. I struggeled a bit with the page turning, but everything else was very intuitive. Story kept me reading everything. Would definitly be back for more of this! Great job :)

Tournament of Summoners by VladImperator 2024-04-16T16:38:46Z

Nicely creepy art style :) It took me a bit to understand how the cards really worked, but I probably was just overthinking it. Made it until stage 14 during first try, before I stopped. By that time the reportet FPS went down, from an average of 1300 to 400 ;) Maybe it would be a nice feature when the cards your opponent plays would also interact with yours. Like when the hand of God might Backfire, because the opponent also played one, destroying your set of two.

Mable’s Realm by yurgio 2024-05-02T20:15:31Z

Very cute artstyle with perfectly fitting sound effects... and the music  I enjoyed how simple the gameplay was at it's core, so it was very easy to just jump in. Was wondering about a bit about some of the behaviors of the characters, but I just saw your comment on the bugs. You could have convinced me that some of these things were intended features ;) My biggest small critique would be that the game ramps up a bit fast. I often a bit too busy aligning marbles, when I really wanted to watch the battle. Guess thats the curse of a nice style. Good job :)

Blort's Big Adventure by koboldskeep 2024-04-16T21:22:57Z

A very funny art style, naming scheme and sound design. I'n not ashamed to admit that jumped onto a few eldritch impalers, just to hear the death blergh xD

Managed to finishe the game even without the extra Bluuk, but in the beginning I really struggled with the "non-standard" choice of buttons for control (especially when you use a qwertZ keyboard). I also made an odd control scheme once and realized that many people had issues. Another issue I ran into was the Wakka beeing a true cat and not wanting to walk into the other direction. Had a lot of fun anyway ;)

Midnight Cheese Quest by Archaeognathus 2024-04-16T18:30:43Z

Thanks for the nice feedback so far :)

@speedphoenix: I was struggeling a lot with setting the difficulty, maybe I should have made more level and ramp it up a bit slower.

@tuh: Thanks, making games is as much about the programming challenge than about the game itself :D

Midnight Cheese Quest by Archaeognathus 2024-04-18T21:06:53Z

Thanks for the feedback :)

@Marju I unfortunalty didn't have the time for many of the effects regarding the summoning and unbinding. I only managed a quick and dirty random color tint that sometimes helps to differentiate between constructs... but mostly beeing to subtle

Midnight Cheese Quest by Archaeognathus 2024-05-02T19:56:38Z

Thanks for all the nice feedback. It brings me great joy that you enjoyed playing the game :)

@jeremy-ryan Wow, thanks so much for the feedback and especially the doodle, I love it! I had so many ideas for more stuff to put into the game. Simple enemies like zombies that are trappable and can walk your platforms, or spiders that drop from above. With all this nice feedback I might continue with the development afterwards. I also havn"t heared of pygbag yet and will give it a try. Thanks a lot

@lllarso Thanks for your in-depth feedback :) With so many nice comments there is a high chance that I will acutally expand upon the game post-jam. It was espacially challenging for me to get the difficulty right and I thought I was nice when allowing people to climb back, but your idea of having checkpoints seems very good. If I continue I will make sure to give it a try, together with adding some enemies and new obstacles :)

Summon the Intern by Speedphoenix 2024-04-18T22:24:17Z

Very tough, but also very fun and funny. Burned out after day 4. Guess I was not dashing enough... unlike the style of the game ;)

Drunk Dork on Pitchfork by bigbossman 2024-04-18T21:01:54Z

I love the style and general vibe and unique idea :) But I got really frustrated in the evevator section. Took me 5 minutes to beat the first one, just to see that there was a second one without checkpoint. I felt like it was odly luck based. The dork would often start oscilating on the pitchfork and either fly of or not fir through narrow sections. Worked great when it did not happen, but was inevitable for me at some point. 5-10 min after that I gave up :(

Canoe Summoner: I Rose To The Top Despite Having a Garbage Skill by Sicosiber 2024-04-17T20:52:35Z

Took a bit too long to actually get the upgrades going, but its a very funny concept. Accitentally launched myself to space by stepping onto a spinning canoe though xD Buisness idea... maybe selling them brings more money than punching them at goblins ;)

Squiggle Sorcery by LoongYi 2024-04-16T16:46:06Z

The Card designs look very nice and I love that everything is a tentacle, but I admit that I don't understand the logic behind the battles. Whats the difference between the different tentacle types and how do I know what to chose when?

Jury Doody by smikevth 2024-05-02T20:45:29Z

A very funny idea. The randomness of the questions even gives it some repeatability. At the same time the randomness can also make it very hard, when its purely based on taste... although I agree with most of your choices ( :dog:  )... unfortunatly making me a great for jury duty xD

Would also be fun to have more ways to annoy the attorney, like not looking at him, or beeing slow to answer questions. Although it would then be important to not tell people about it, so you can find out these options yourself ... but this might also greatly backfire, so I don't :D

Nice first entry all in all. Keep up the jams ;)

Luna's Ritual by cmakota 2024-04-16T17:14:33Z

The graphic design and variety of upgrades are very nice. It already feels quite polished and I enjoyed several playthroughs in a row. I was positively surprised at the variety of upgrades. My only small critique is that the enemies have trouble following and sometimes get stuck in the lower portion of the game. But that can also create a fun zone, once you got the upgrades going ;)

LD58 — Collector

Fish Feud 2 by Phobos001 2025-10-08T18:58:08Z

Very fun story bit. I would have needed some getting used to the controls before being shot 80 times, before I could ever orient myself. But in the end, I managed to beat it in 13 minutes, getting hit 167 times. Very trippy experience. Almost has a VR feel to it... but then I would hav probably thrown up xD Very fun once you get the hang of it, but some heads up would have been nice ;)

Gen0 by tomrijnbeek 2025-10-09T21:18:09Z

Really cool and unique idea, topped with a brutal end screen. Stop code: skill issue xDDDDDDD Barely managed to reach level 9 I think. Its easy and fast to pick up, but :poop: hit the fan really quickly, but the overall feel is very polished :)

Monster Lake by ghost-in-the-toast 2025-10-09T20:56:43Z

Very polished and a lot of playtime for a jam game :o Kept me busy for 40 minutes, chilling and catching fish, until I saw the big one *when the doom music hits* xD I caught the tape recording, and you get a comment (great voice acting btw) that you need something to play it. I saw the radio at the end, but I could not catch it :( Is this a bug or did I do something wrong?

Monster Lake by ghost-in-the-toast 2025-10-11T07:48:30Z

@ghost-in-the-toast & @conduit Woooow, I did not think that far, but I tried it now! Next great hit xD Thanks for the hint ;)

Beenball by Stratcat66 2025-10-08T19:52:45Z

When the music drops and the nectar hits hard. Its hard to hit something, but the hive is very fun. Managed 7035 :sunglasses:

Want Toy Naow by Carraka 2025-10-08T20:27:11Z

Super cute. Art and music blend together, creating the perfect vibe. As someone who is the toy slave of a stubborn and needy dog (his name is also Ollie and I had to laugh when I saw the name in the credits) I also had to give the dog here some pets every round ;)

Trash Dash by UnitedFailures 2025-10-11T17:35:36Z

Interesting twist on the dinosaur chrome game :D

Orbital Cleanup by detectiveLosos 2025-10-09T21:45:07Z

This is such a simple yet elegant concept, and you executed it so well. Really enjoyed playing it. Very relaxing to slowly dock from module to module. The sheer amount of stuff required makes it just a bit grindy after a while, although the detail and polish and number of different parts you included is blowing my mind. Also had a lot of fun just adding big thrusters and absolutely blasting through the surroundings. Great job :)

Depth Scan by CptDrusha 2025-10-11T14:20:49Z

Amazing! I've always searched for games that have this "scanning" as vision approach. Only managed 5/6 (and I've seen the 6th through a gap in a wall), but I got lost and died. The spatial audio is also very nice and adding to the creepy atmosphere.

Super Sucker by leorean 2025-10-11T09:19:06Z

Wow, so cool. Such a nice style and a surprisingly large game, for such a short times :o Learned about pico8 two jams ago and also experimented a bit with it myself and got a small handheld to play. Will you release the p8 at some point? Would love to continue playing on my device. Can see myself getting lost in it. Great job :)

Super Sucker by leorean 2026-04-25T08:31:31Z

@Ennea Nice, thank you very much!

GNOWER by Aune 2025-10-11T10:20:04Z

So much story in so little time. Very cool idea, mechanics and artwork. But remember: They do not exist. The Ministery does not condone the distribution of gnomspiracy-theories!

Baby crows took my spacehip! by BarnabeWild 2025-10-11T08:29:25Z

Funny idea, which reminds me a bit of flying a drone fpv. I do not have a controller, but I wanted to try and simulated one using python and WASD + arrow keys (which means only beeing able to push the sticks with full force). It worked well enough, but was quite challenging. Managed to grab a few though... especially the one I could scrape from the ground xD

CalLecter by Bassilij 2025-10-11T14:30:53Z

Wow thats so trippy! Not sure thats a problem that can get solved with even more mushrooms though xD

Fartnite by osh.studio 2025-10-11T07:20:13Z

You already had me at the title, when I saw @coatline's video :D As weird as it sounds, this game is pure nostalgia. My brother and I keep a fart sound generator alive, we got from a mickey mouse magazine over 20 years ago. I still keep it in the top drawer of my desk and laugh my ass off at the "short dry"... So you can imagine my reactions exploring all the "backwards voice acting" xDDD

Delta Drift by Archaeognathus 2025-10-08T18:35:53Z

Thanks for all your nice feedback. I always wanted to make a game like this. Originally wanted to make even more complex UI interactions, but as always... things got in the way. And music and SFX are unfortunately what I drop when I'm out of time :( It's great to know it works with WINE, and I'm always happy to hear from fellow Linux users, but it was about time I ported it. No idea why I never did before!

Out Of Energy by Custodi 2025-10-11T08:55:54Z

Bullet hell combined with the existential dread of your phone battery running low... but the phone is you. Cool concept. I struggled hard, but managed to get into the third zone, where I quickly ran out of charge xD

Pigeon Post Office by Pigeonescu 2025-10-08T19:29:22Z

I have a complicated relationship with pigeons, but this is with woodpigeons, and yours is very cute! Paradoxically, the longest time I ever spent on a piece of pixel art was also a woodpigeon (does not mean it's good)... but I have to admit that was as a pizza ingredient for my very first LD game xD

pidgeon_bake.png

Pigeon Post Office by Pigeonescu 2025-10-09T21:00:26Z

@pigeonic NOOOOOO, don't ask her! It was a game about weird pizza toppings, and the pidgeons were a topping option. I would feel bad if she knew!

Kolega 2 The Cocktail Kolegtor by CptNero 2025-10-11T18:00:29Z

Very fun concept with lost of potential for cool moves. Spend too much time throwing icecubes around... would not have gotten a tip. The trashbin can be a bit of a trap for items landing on it, but I also found out you can grab the cat to nudge them out of there again xD The cat can also throw things from the counter, making them dissapear. Overall: images.jpeg

Spyder by MartianMangka 2025-10-11T13:22:45Z

Really cool idea (maybe a bit bias as a fan of spiders). Yeah, its currently a bit random, but there is potential. I think the vibration sense is a very interesting feature.

Spider's Meal by Pancu 2025-10-08T19:44:12Z

I love the game idea (and spiders are awesome!), but after 10 minutes, I still could not get past the second level. How do I make the fly stick to the web? It only ever fell down. Had no issues in the first level. Am I missing something? :( Super fun idea.

Tide Warden by Sofie SHI 2025-10-09T19:54:54Z

I would like to try it, but I could not find anything that runs on Linux or Windows, only macOS files. The folder structure is a bit convoluted, though.

The Reload by Artalasky 2025-10-11T09:56:28Z

Really cool concept and I love the artwork and vibe. Was very lost the first round, but after reading the tutorial here I managed to win. The bear trap seems a bit fiddely, an enemy just passed through it, but maybe I did not layed it centered enough. Great job, very impressive you did this all alone!

Glitch.EXE by zelew 2025-10-11T09:30:02Z

Very cool style. I was a bit confused at the beginning and did not expect a kind of dating sim, but I actually managed to collect one of them. In the end, just before I died it switched tu russian though.

LD59 — Signal

Trippin' Ballz by schizoid2k 2026-04-26T07:39:22Z

Ohhh maaan, I think I sucked at it. Only got 4600, but I also only realized scrolling through here that the mushrooms had to be used and don't work automatically. Fun little game that already looks quite polished :)

yAI presents Himari, the Beautiful Super Genius Artificial Intelligence by alaah 2026-04-25T08:13:53Z

I think it's safe to say that this is one of my most unique gaming experiences ever. Your skills and creativity amaze me! I did not even think something like this would be possible. It was almost scary at times xD I'm still processing what just happened, but this was truly amazing. Thank you for this experience, really well done.

Echo Chamber by elemel 2026-04-25T15:44:48Z

Very cool concept. I felt like a bat 8) I was a bit confused at the very beginning and finished the first level by accident, but then I understood the concept and managed to navigate without issues.

GigaHurtz by johnnysix 2026-04-26T08:21:44Z

Really fun game! The Artwork and music are sooo good, and puzzles are a nice challenge. I have to admit I needed to cheat and watch your video for the last part of level 4, because I did not get that you can walk over the gaps. While watching your video, I found it very funny that my game is actually the second one you see when you open the LD webpage! My only complaints are that the hitboxes of the player and the spikes do not match up very well (it feels like hitting them too soon), and that the acceleration of the platforms in the last level is a bit annoying, because it makes you wait at a section that you will probably have to do a lot. Sometimes the death animation would also not play, but that did not affect gameplay. Other than that, it already feels very polished

Really enjoyed playing it. Well done :)

G-VAUDAN by Furano 2026-04-25T09:01:37Z

Wow, super clean game. Amazing how you nailed that style in such a short timeframe. I liked the tower upgrade mechanics a lot, but I needed some time to understand them. It was a bit slow to start as the first few waves were a bit too easy, but trying out the different combinations later was very fun. I also liked the idea that the upgrades are your health at the same time. To me the funniest part is the "Made for Ludum-Dare 59 in 72h by 3 people + 1 musician" at the bottom of the itch.io page. Clearly musicians are not human xD

Well done, I enjoyed it :)

Resonance: Pulse of the Deep by Meemog 2026-04-25T06:28:34Z

A very nicely balanced game. I struggled with the spikes a bit, and some of them were in mean positions (nicely placed traps ;)), but the safes in between made it forgiving enough to make exploration not too punishing. Looked at too many decoy lumps with eyes to admit, before I found Rocky, but it was a nice journey, well done :)

Signal Surfer by hulien22 2026-04-25T07:07:40Z

I tried calibrating a few times and also followed your steps above, but I can't get it to work :( In the online version, it's just bouncing around and has a lot of gaps. The Windows version works a bit better, but even when cheating by using a signal tone generator, I could not finish the second level.

I used to love Line Rider and really like the idea of your game. As someone who has zero musical understanding and has no clue about sound design, it always amazes me what people come up with :)

WaveForge by Enad96 2026-04-21T13:32:35Z

I saw the thumbnail and had to try it. We had similar ideas for our games, but went in completely different directions. That said, please get out of my head. The comments during the game were far too accurate xD I love RGB, but I also got a bit overwhelmed with all the new mechanisms and concepts. But I can see many possibilities to create fun puzzles :)

Nervous Breakdown by Cinnamon18 2026-04-25T13:00:55Z

Wow, that is a very cool idea. I wriggled my way to the second spike pad, after somehow managing to fly over the previous one on my first try. Unfortunately, that's where my travel ended after about 15 min :O It's a very well-designed game, but some checkpoints would have helped me stay motivated. Knowing how I did before, just seeing your last screenshot broke me xD But nicely done :)

Landslide by Coro_yy 2026-04-26T12:59:04Z

Interesting spin on the signal theme. After your thumbnail, I expected something different, but I managed to get the hang of it quite quickly. While trying to make a round about 7 tiles inward from the border, I managed to find most of the people, if I did not end up just out of range and circling in the wrong direction. The full-screen mode seems a bit bugged. I can still see the title screen underneath the level, in the top-right corner.

Signal Sweep by Archaeognathus 2026-04-25T06:15:38Z

@Meemog Thank you very much for your kind words, they mean a lot to me. Level 3 was also my favorite :)

@juyr I'm glad that you like it :) I was a bit afraid the trash part would just be an added annoyance, as I struggled to tie them together. The level size kept escalating a bit too fast, that's true. It was just easier to make larger designs than to make intricate ones.

@shimiki Thanks :) Yeah, I had to fight with the feedback. I'm unfortunately so bad with sound design and implementation that I focused on the two monitors showing the progression of the two puzzle parts. One day I will try to make a game with proper sound!

@itisthelaw Thank you, I'm happy you liked the difficulty level :) I had no playtesters this time, as I only managed to create the levels in the last few hours, after spending most of my time creating the basic mechanisms and removing bugs (there are plenty left, though). An undo button is a good idea, I did not think about this at all :O

Signal Sweep by Archaeognathus 2026-04-25T13:18:20Z

@disastra Thank you for your kind words. I take it as a compliment to my very basic pixel art skill that it reminds you of that.

@zhangzhimu Thank you very much. I'm happy you liked the bananas. Next time I even try to create a sound effect for them ;)

@imnotvegan I have to admit that the concept of the vacuum robot came from my lack of artistic skills. I started of with an orange circle as a place holder for the character and just had a solid dark blue floor. That looked somewhat like a goldfish in space, but the circle gave me an idea for the robot! Unfortunately, the thought of an undo button never crossed my mind... Thank you for your feedback :)

Federal Bureau of Dance by drainkid 2026-04-21T13:58:22Z

The thumbnail alone is gold. And it's a super fun and unique concept... but I fear I know too much now.

Do-roidhicky by Jacobloon 2026-04-26T07:13:29Z

I love the controls in this game! I got very hooked and played for more than half an hour. I managed to get to the level where you start on the small pole, but after many tries, I never managed to finish it. I failed three times at the final jump with the ice, but either fell or got a random alien covering my screen at the worst time. These were very fun at the beginning, but got very annoying at the end. It's a lot of fun to learn the controls, and I quickly had the feeling of improving on the mechanics, being able to switch fast, and exactly knowing how much charge is required. Very well done! :) Also... Thank you for your SFX guide @jungledorf. That's what brought me here, and I desperately needed this.

Yellow Submarine by Deraxus 2026-04-25T15:54:20Z

Famous last words "Are these teeth?" Fun little game :)

Appeau by Divarium 2026-04-21T13:05:07Z

It was a bit hard to figure out what to do in the beginning until I managed to figure out that the squirrels slowly get used to you, the more you feed them. Very interesting and peaceful idea :)

SILENTIUM by Shram 2026-04-25T19:53:53Z

I love Pacific Drive, and it's crazy how much of it you could capture in such a short time. But I'm glad to not have to deal with fuel too much ;)

No life detected by shimiki 2026-04-21T12:52:26Z

I also get "The end. Thanks for playing" constantly, but it didn't take much away from the experience. A very nice story with an interesting mechanism between the chapters.

Radio Silent by CamOfFlage 2026-04-25T07:17:54Z

The game seems to be playable online now, but I also can't do anything but walk around as soon as I start the round. Am I missing something?

Edit: I found out how to build turrets. You have to do it before starting the round by hovering the mouse over the lightning symbols and pressing E Still don't get the radio signal part though

hostile cosmos by unfavorable_enhancer 2026-04-25T19:08:11Z

Amazing, you made the game I always dreamed of for a Jam, just way better. Dealing with the enemies is a bit confusing, but I love the interface and all the different settings :O

Signal wave path, NEW VERSION by valb soares 2026-04-25T14:54:37Z

Hey, very nice and original idea. After reading your explanation, I managed to open a door. But what I thought to be the first door happened to be the last, and I somehow instantly won xD I had some issues pinpointing the correct frequency, since the beep only sounds once, and it's hard to see at which exact number. I managed with some trial and error, but it would be helpful if you had more chances at pinpointing it.

I did not know you can even create a gime directly in Blender. The factpry looks cool. Well done :)

Asteroids and Satellites by Axelato 2026-04-25T15:31:09Z

I agree that it's a generally fun idea. I think there is also enough control over the satellites to make minute adjustments. It's just a bit tedious to wait for the slow shots to connect. It would be more fun if they moved a little faster, so you don't have to wait too long. Fun to play, but I also wonder... why is it so large? 1.6 GB when unpacked :O
