LD53 — Delivery

Strange Week in the Dungeon by PavelDlouhy 2023-05-03T12:50:45Z

Very nice. Got a bit lost on the last level but eventually made it to the end.

Presumably it was supposed to render in the whole window right, not just in the top left corner: Screenshot 2023-05-03 224807.png

Awesome game. Tough but fair. Glad the checkpoints existed. Although I didn't finish it - got soft locked by dying in the executive suite and respawning with no ammo and enemies right on top of me. I tried to take the elevator back down but then it glitched out and I fell through the floor. Still was very enjoyable.

I'm getting the error that "VCRUNTIME140D.dll" is not installed. I believe that is a debug library and I don't have Visual Studio installed on this machine. I think you need to build in "Release" mode so it depends on the normal dll versions.

Cool game idea. But like jminor alluded to, I don't get why I (sometimes?) lost points for delivering what the house seemed to be waiting on if it wasn't where the arrow was pointing. Is that a bug, because I think it would be a better game if you could do that, with the arrow just showing you where the next house to time out is. But yeah cool concept, I enjoyed it.

I tried the Linux build but it was unplayably laggy for me unfortunately. I'm on Gnome/Wayland. I can usually game fine on this setup though. Here are my logs: https://pastebin.com/MK4gQr7Q I also tried the Windows build in wine but it was complaining about a missing dll and I didn't poke further.
