It is really hard but I like it. Good job!
I like it! I played few times and made score 1203. ;) Good job!
It is not my cup of coffee but it is nice and well done!
It looks interesting. Good luck for next time. See you on LD24!
Randomly generated maze? Nice! I finished easy version in 60 seconds, medium in 130 seconds (I was lucky) and hard... ...well ... I was not brave enough to finish it ;) I like it. I read majority of comments here. So, good luck in next LD48.
Wow. Original and nice game. Good job!
I played NO SHADERS version on my old notebook. I like voxels! ;) My Final Score: 102378
Now I have idea what ZBlorb is. I found some Zoom player for Mac OS X. Since now I was able to use two commands: "go down" and "go up". Tomorrow I will try to google for some help about available commands. Game looks interesting. It is what is giving me power for googling...
This is unique! I like it!
I like it. Nice atmosphere, music and idea. ;) Good job! Tinytanic :D
Score: 3320, Time: 638, Kills: 33, Deaths: 2, Total checkpoints: ALL, Total Score: 2682. Yes, I feel tiny now. Pablo, it is really nice game. Your game has exactly the same name as mine. ;) But you already know this. BTW, do you want small tip how to pass the second map?-)
:) Pablo, here is small tip: You outside, "Spore" inside. "Spore" is not well known enemy. Even I don't know if you can kill it or what is its name. BTW, I found a secret passage in your game!-)
Pablo, you have to use gravatar.com or your WordPress account if you have one (under the same email you used for registration here on the LudumDare page). Gravatar and WordPress use one database. I am really interested what will be your next game on the next LD48. ;)
Pablo, can you be more specific please? I can't understand your question ("Can I do all those improves and add it such as other link on the post?"). ;)
Yes, Pablo. As far as I know you may edit this post and add new version of your game but it should be marked as post Compo version. And you should encourage people to play new version AFTER they play and rate your Compo version. ;) See for example entry of netmute (uid is 11213). He added new version and named a new link this way: " 'After compo' version (Don't rate this) "
Congratulation, Pablo. I think for the first Ludum Dare it is not a bad result! I was able to reach only 50% of Coolness (also my first time). How many games did you rated?
Music is really cool!
Hi! What about original version for OS/X? I tried windows version and there is missing a lot of objects in game (I compared it with your video). :/ Actually, I see only background (silhouettes of buildings). I tried few restarts and various resolutions (without effect).
It is nice! I don't have a pad and it makes me sad!-) Good job!
It is really original game! I scored a 200! ;) Cool song! ;)
I have not words. It is amazing. Especially graphics, audio and theme! 58920 with 41 stars. I will play again!-)
One of the best looking games I saw since now. Really good job! 48h? Unbelievable!
I'm Sorry, I was not able to figure out how to use objects.
It looks really nice. Is anybody willing to help me with controls? I found only w,a,s,d and space. How to use objects or interact with environment? I'm playing web version on Mac OS X (Firefox).
Hi! What is wrong? well, I just misunderstood game logic. It was my fault. Now it is OK. ;) Sorry about that.
It is pretty big tiny world! ;) It looks interestingly confusing. ;)
I am sorry. I have following error:
________
ERROR in
action number 1
of Begin Step Event
for object Surf:
Trying to use non-existing surface.
"Ignore" doesn't help. It is there again and again and ...
20697 m !-) I like it. I would play longer but very soon there is always place where is not possible to go through! ;) So, I at least played again and again. Well done! I saw also timelapse video. Interesting.
It is nice original idea. Very hard to play (for me). I needed to make 2Hz oscillator from my finger to use it for light bursts. ;) Good job!
Wow, I like it!
I like it! It is nice! Thank you! ;) Score: 100% Time: 52.34 ;)
It was fun! I like it. Thank you!
Thank you for your comment, John. Yes, I just tried to make VM as soon as possible (no optimizations). Nice to see that somebody likes the concept. ;) The load is actually quick replay of "making of" because binary file is just blank VM plus input data (keyboard and mouse events recorded during making of this game including playing and testing it).
Thank you very much for your comments! Sxw1212, I will update this page soon (to add editor description). For me, to play your games is now priority number one! Short version: Editor is available on Mac OS X only (in Windows version soon). Use CMD+1 for txtedit mode, CMD+2 for gfxedit mode and CMD+5 to execute program. Enjoy!
Thank you, NiallM. As you may see in timelapse (when I finally prepare and upload all 5 parts) I spent few hours by debugging copy-paste errors and other errors. I had ideas for some other levels but 48h is 48h ;) 7 hours before the end I started to make "final" build every 2 hours. I was very tired at the end of compo (3AM here at that time) but I felt good!-)
Thank you for your comments. I appreciate it! I will consider to make additional levels (at least these "born" during 48h - they are still flowing in my mind).
Do not read following text if you want to win the game on your own.
robcozzens and lorancou: Target looks the same as in the beginning of the game but it just looks the same. Goal (in this case) is not to move player to this target. I hope this small tip will be sufficient to help you. Enjoy! Thank you for your comments.
Thank you for playing and commenting!
Spiral, later I realized I should use different marker in the second level. ;)
@tfendall: You are right. Scenario with the enemy is not easy. But there is not too much possibilities ;). When (and if) I update this game (after compo) I will use different graphics for the marker in the second scenario. It was challenging to make VM in 24 hours and game in it during next 24 hours and I failed ( ;-) ) because it took 36 hours to make VM! And I like assembler very much. Yes, I am planning to make basic documentation and also some YouTube tutorials for NE-VM (I will announce it on Twitter). My current plan/idea/vision for the next Ludum Dare is to spend 12 hours by extending this VM (double colors to CGA like graphics and add basic sound support similar to the ZX Spectrum 48K) and then spend 36 hours by game itself.
@Daisuke909: You are right. It crossed my mind (after 48h). I was wondering when I find this remark in comments here. ;) Thank you for your comment.
@AlwaysGeeky: Thank you! Today I am starting to play and rate games also on Windows. I saw some of your blog posts and video about your world entirely made of cubes!-) Soon I will play your game...
@VoidChronos: Thank you! I just made quick (3 hours) conversion of game to Windows. VM is accessible only on Mac. I am sorry. I prefer to focus on playing/rating games of other participants now and convert VM/editor to Windows after competition (judging).
@Shifty: Thank you! You are right. Next time (LD24) I will probably try to extend VM with support for simple ZX Spectrum 48K like sounds as I mentioned in one of my previous comments.
Thank you for the feedback! I appreciate it.
Thank you for your comments.
@Thotep: You are right! Next time I will spend 12 hours with technology and 36 hours with game itself!-) I am glad I was able to finish at least tiny piece (2 levels) of my game on my first ludum dare! :-)
It is nice! it is fun! It is polished! Music was not playing properly but it was (I guess) because I was using slow PC. Playing on Windows (Currently I am not brave enough to try to find out how to run JNLP on Mac). Good job!
Nice dark dungeon! Good work! ;-)
Now I noticed that somebody mentioned nice sounds. I played it on Windows and didn't noticed any sounds. Can you please help me with this?
Thank you for your answer. I am sorry. I am probably a little tired. ;-) Yes, sounds are there. It is strange I didn't noticed it first time! :D Now I added rating also for sounds.
It's very hard game. :) I like challenge! Good job! ;-)
I don't know why but it seems to be a little addictive for me... :) Nice game!
Hi! You rated our game 16 days ago and now is finally my turn. I like the atmosphere of this game! It doesn't fit theme too much but I like the idea. Good job! ;-)
Crashes without any error or screen (both Windows versions).
Can you please help me with this? I would like to play and rate your game.
Windows XP, 32 bit, 512MB RAM
At the end I decided to install Mono Framework on my Mac. I guess 512MB for Windows version is not enough. I like your game! You played our game 17 days ago and today is finally my turn! ;-) Your game reminds me about Cube movie (1997). Good job!
Hi Zekyon! Can you please help me with controls? I am able to enter 60 (as two digits) but not 06. '0' seems not to working (playing web version).
Nice game! Just one problem: I was able to enter codes from 10 to 99 only. '0' seems to be not working on the first digit (tried web version in Firefox and Chrome on Mac). I was not able to finish first level because of this.
Great idea! I like your game very much! I just almost finished second level. I will definitely play it again later. You rated our game almost 14 days ago and now is my turn. Today is first day since 27th September when I found some time again for rating games. I hope it will last all 7 days to be able to rate a lot of games! Good job! Thank you. BTW, keys "1,2,3,4" are also controls? It seems to be not reacting at all...
I like it. I wish to have mouse instead of touch pad on my notebook. With touch pad it is really hard. :)
Very nice and polished! Good work!
Very nice and polished game! Good job!
I like the idea and it has been fun to play! Thank you for mentioning us in credits! :D
Hi LemmingSurvivor! You rated our game almost 14 days ago and now is finally my turn. Can you please help me to execute your game on Mac OS X? I used terminal to call ./start-osx.sh. It ended with ": No such file or directory ." and with ": No such file or directory ./bin". Then I tried to modify this file to replace "./rewind.jar" with ./bin/rewind.jar. Now jarfile is found but there is following error: "Exception in thread 'main' java.lang.UnsupportedClassVersionError: ld27/ls/rewind/Rewind : Unsupported major.minor version 51.0"
Hi LemmingSurvivor! At the end I tried [compat] rewind J4.zip on Windows. I am able to execute it but there is some crash when I press SPACE to start.
ERROR:java.lang.System.lineSeparator()Ljava/lang/String;
Use "Email Me" on http://about.me/paveldlouhy to contact me and I will provide you more info (call stack). I would like to be able to play and rate your game! Start screen is very nice and polished!
Yeah, same here, can't download.
Cool idea! Pretty good job! ;-)
I didn't survived the last question. I am dead! Cool game! ;-)
Cool idea! Trying to make comment in 10 seconds. ;-)
Hi Korfi, I would like to play and rate your game but when I execute it there is only this (https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/43382869/TEMP/SpaceHunt.PNG) and music is playing (that is all). I guess 512MB RAM is not enough? Any suggestion? OS: Windows XP Professional 2002 SP3, 32 bits
Hi Korfi, at the end I visited my friend this evening and played your game on his computer! Nice space game! Good job.
Interesting idea! I can't wait to try to play it with somebody ("home alone" now...). ;-)
Nice game! Cool idea! Good work.
Nice and polished game! I like it! ;-)
stewthepoo: Thank you for the comment. Me too. :) Without this slow camera it would be too easy. It is intentional. I hope majority of players will like it. But I may be wrong... :) Now I will check out your game. Screenshots looks interesting!
Thank you very much for your comments.
With regard to slow camera: It is my mistake. At the moment of implementation I saw only one other (worst in point of view of some gameplay challenge) way how to quickly implement camera movement. Now I see third (better) option and I will realise it in a new version some day later after rating. It will be better game experience and still the same challenge! :)
LemmingSurvivor: Yes, we run out of time and made actual gameplay in last two hours.
GarethIW: Thank you! Vaclav Spiral (member of our LD27 team) is excellent music composer. He managed to compose all this music during those 72 hours. It's unbelievable (not only for me)!
Nice and polished game! Good work!
Nice one! :D
Nice skyscrapers!
I don't know why but I like it. It seems to be a little addictive. ;-)
Nice idea. Good work.
Very nice idea! Good work.
It is an interesting game. It would be nice to see more polished version. Good work!
Kills: 42 (reminds me of Douglas Adams :) )
It is my best score from more than 10 games! Nice and very challenging game.
Nice game. Good work! :-)
Nice idea!
Simple rules and simple game but to walk through is not so simple!-) Nice game. Good job.
Funny concept... :)
Very nice and challenging game! Good job! Cool sound of destruction... :)
Hi LemmingSurvivor! Very nice! It seems to be well balanced and it is definitely my cup of coffee. Now it is hard to go to play another game entry! I would like to play this again... :) BTW, I liked very much also your LD27 entry (Rewind!). Actually, it was my number one from all LD27 games I played. Good job! 42 indeed!
Nice game! I like the idea and graphics. Good job!
Very nice game. I like the idea. Good job for 72 hours. :)
I agree with Greeso in his second suggestion...
...and it would be nice to see it with better graphics!
Nice and polished game! Reminds me about good old Sokoban. :) God job!
Nice game! Simple and fun. Good job!
Nice game. It is funny concept. I am looking forward to the post-LD version.
Haha! I like the idea. :) Pretty good job for first game in Unity. I was not able to "survive" more than 20 seconds. Yes, it is so hard. Nice one!
Interesting concept and great visuals! Good job for 72 hours!
:-) Good job! :D
Very nice entry! I like it. Good job! Would be nice to have keyboard alternative to Scrollwheel.
Hi Niall! It is very interesting and colourful game. Audio is very good as usual! Good job! :)
Thank you for your comments! I agree with your criticism (to the letter).
If you want at least simple "puzzle" then try to find both ways how to reach the surface. :-)
Very nice game! Good job.
Nice game! I like occasional change of gravity direction. Good job.
Nice game and pretty polished in some aspects! Good job.
Very nice concept and game mechanics! Very good job.
Never made more than 999. :) Nice and pretty addictive game. Good job.
I like graphics, music and game concept. I can imagine better animations but I know that it is not easy (during only 72 hours for everything). It is just constructive criticism. :) Good job!
Pretty nice concept. I like music and parallaxes. :)
Nice game! I like music and concept. Who made this addictive music? Good job! :)
Nice game. I like it! Good job. :)
Rehacked: I am sorry, you have to install OpenAL (use oalinst.exe - it is part of game package) even though our game is without sounds and music. :-/
I thank to all of you for your comments! It is nice to hear you like some aspects of our game. :)
jprogman: Thank you for your feedback. When you hit R when you have 3 lives of 5 then you still have only 3 lives. It does not make any easier with it. In first level there is place where you can't continue without level restart. It is reason why we added it. But it some sense you are right. It is not well designed in this aspect. :)
jprogman: *But in some sense you are right. It is not well designed in this aspect. :)
I have to say the same thing as siryakko: "Nice and hardcore"
I agree with RafaCP: "Really hard game."
Your game has been rated by our team member Antonin Charvat (music composer). Here is his comment: Very catchy game, too bad it is so short! Please keep developing it and add more levels. And of course... sound and music! Also great thing is, the words change every single game, so the replayability is extended!
Your game has been rated by our team member Antonin Charvat (music composer). Here is his comment: One of the best and most catchy game I've played here. Atmospheric piece, pretty challenging for me, since I am not quite patient player and sometimes I needed to think more than I wanted to, but it was worth it.
Your game has been rated by our team member Antonin Charvat (music composer). Here is his comment: This was really fun to play!
Your game has been rated by our team member Antonin Charvat (music composer). Here is his comment: Although it seemed to be fun from your demo video, controls are really bad and the main character usually does what he wants, not what the player wants (f.e. stucking with head in the floor is quite often bug). Overall not bad, I laughed everytime the body was launched in the air :) ...but there is still lot of work to be done.
Your game has been rated by our team member Antonin Charvat (music composer). Here is his comment: This was tough, I mean really tough. At first I didn't get the point, later I didn't get it either. I was just jumping around, trowing banana, which didn't even fly to the monster and came right back to me. Did I miss something? Kill it with fire? But how?? :) There is fire everywhere and getting a medkit is more likely coincidence then a purpose. Hardcore game, I mean really hardcore!
Your game has been rated by our team member Antonin Charvat (music composer). Here is his comment: Since I have never seen any Eurovision contest, I didn't know how to approach to awarding points, but the important thing is, I did have great time playing this game! Every single song is uniqe and original piece, I love all of them so much! It's unbelievable funny!
Very nice game! I was not able to leave it until I finished it! Very well done.
Thank you for the comments! @Liam :D Thanks. It is a good point. I will add some info about a game objective into description on this page.
@Nikteddy92 I added STORY into description on this page to try to make this game at least a little less strange for everybody who will read it. We will rate/comment back to all of you (soon).
Thank you for your comments. I will try to add WASD controls soon! Thanks!
Very nice game. Good job!
Very nice game. Good job! :)
Your game has been rated by our team member Antonin Charvat (music composer). Here is his comment: Nice art and effects, but I didn't know what to do after ten minutes, because enemies just stopped to appear :(
Your game has been rated by our team member Antonin Charvat (music composer). Here is his comment: Really great idea, but the game was loosing its tempo when you need to wait for archeologist so long to come back :-D
Your game has been rated by our team member Antonin Charvat (music composer). Here is his comment: Really cool game, I was a monster in a different way :-D
Your game has been rated by our team member Antonin Charvat (music composer). Here is his comment: Great art, but I missed at least some small animations of the frog. Also controls weren't suitable for me since I played on touchpad. I think this should be awesome on mobile phones and tablets.
Your game has been rated by our team member Antonin Charvat (music composer). Here is his comment: One of the best games I have ever played in LD. Very strong atmosphere, great music and original concept. Unfortunately I didn't manage to build complete robot, because I couldn't have found the last piece of it, although I have clearly heard the beeping around.
Your game has been rated by our team member Antonin Charvat (music composer). Here is his comment: At first I was like "oh my god, what a cute little bunnie..." :) You made really great art and funny concept, too bad there are no other enemies than angry redneck guys...
Your game has been rated by our team member Antonin Charvat (music composer). Here is his comment: Nice little game, great job! It's pretty challenging and that's exactly what I expect of a game :)
Nice game! Score: 910! :)
Very nice game! Cool atmosphere!
Cool idea and cool game!
Very nice game!
Your game has been rated by our team member Antonin Charvat (music composer). Here is his comment: Nice music, but the overall concept is still a mystery for me.
Nice game!
Nice game. It is really fun to play! Good job.
Nice game. Good job.
Very nice game!
Your game has been rated by our team member Antonin Charvat (music composer). Here is his comment: Great idea, too bad there is no autosave more often.
Nice game!
Nice game!
Your game has been rated by our team member Antonin Charvat (music composer). Here is his comment: Too bad there is no autosave, I really hate when I need to repeat same part of game ten times :) Great game anyway.
It is a little hard to play. Good game.
Wow. This is really very nice game!
@BinaryProvider, @Lojchin: Thank you! :)
Pretty good game. Good job.
Very nice game. I was not able to stop until I finished it. :) Good job!
Nice game (my score: 316). Nice music. I like "retro style".
Simple game. Fun to play! Good job.
Very nice game! Good job.
Nice one! :-) Good job!
Interesting game concept. Fun to play! Good job. ;-)
This is really cool game! Fun to play (again and again). Good job.
Nicely crafted game. Cool music!
Pretty nice and polished game. Good job. It was fun to play and because of that I managed to finish it! :-) Feedback: When I press 'F' in credits new page is displayed over previous one.
Nice job! It is really good looking game. With regard to controls there is some space to improvement, right? I like it! :-)
Interesting game. Good job.
Interesting idea. Sad game. Polished. Good music.
Are you sure Web version is working? What should I use to play the game? Keyboard or mouse? It is not responding to any input (tried in Safari and in Firefox).
@iossif Ah, it is controlled by mouse. I see now. Very nice game. I just finished it. Good job. :-)
Wow! Very nice game! Good job. ;-) Feedback: It would be nice with some game over screen over the scene. When player is dead there is no chance to check out the score/points.
Interesting entry. I like the character animation. Good job.
Yes, exactly: "nice, but too fast."
I have traversed 10 sections. Very nice and pretty addictive game. Good job!
@MementoGames: Thank you for feedback. I will try to host it somewhere. I will let you know (here) when it is done.
@MementoGames: WebGL link is ready! :-)
Pretty challenging game! Nice combination of gfx, sfx and music. Good job!
@thy-duck Thank you for your comment. Music was not pre-made. Vaclav (our music composer) is very talented and he really managed to create all the music just during those three days. I'm impressed (again) what he is able to do and how quickly! :-)
@miziziziz Thank you for your comment. If you press space and hold it it should display all text and when you release it it should skip to next one. BTW, our music has been composed during those 3 days by our (very talented) music composer Vaclav. Yes, collisions are not good and we also would like to confront Ollay in a level but we run out of time. :)
Thank you for your comments! :-) Thank you for nice words and also for your constructive criticism. All is welcome...
@linver Thank you for reporting the issue with texts. We fixed it. BTW, your game is amazing. I will submit ratings soon.
@jason-kennedy Thank you! ;-) BTW, our music has been composed during those 3 days by our (very talented) music composer Vaclav.
@behenate Thank you! :) We miss boss fight too but we run out of time... ;-) I will play and rate your game too. Soon (later today).
1-bit color and, still, nothing is missing on aesthetics side. Music in style of 8-bit computers such as C64 or ZX-128 (AY...) reminds me of my childhood. This is pretty polished game and I will hardly forget it! Excellent work.
This game is simply amazing! I have hard time to find anything to provide you at least some constructive criticism. I agree with @wh05herlock ("hard to resize / move the correct element") but I am not sure if this is something what can be fixed easily. And maybe it is even good it is there because of the theme. :D
This game is as hard as it is cute! It looks like I will not manage to beat my record which is, ehm, 5 days. Thumbs up for attention to detail. 5 days? Let's try again! :)
I like sound and music! ;-)
I like the idea and it is fun to play. Good job! :)
@mrphil Nice entry! ;-) Constructive criticism: It would be great to mention 'E' key somewhere. ;) I was lucky and found out about it here in comments.
This game is interesting and really worth spending time learning to play it. ;-) I hope you will manage to get enough ratings.
Congratulations! You have more than 20 ratings! ;-)
I like style of graphics very much. ;-) I hope you will manage to get enough ratings. Constructive criticism: It looks like you forgot to mention 'SPACE for jump'!
I would like to play and rate but I have crash on Windows (see screenshot). Do you have Mac version (I see only post compo version for Mac)?
SantasFactoryCrash.png
Hi @saramartins, your game looks and feels good. I like sounds, music, graphics and theme. Unfortunately, there seems to be a problem with mouse cursor in both windowed and fullscreen mode. Mouse cursor is not locked and when it is not in window area mouse click is ignored and is making game unplayable. In fullscreen it is leaving my primary screen to secondary one. I am looking forward to your next entry (LD41?). :-) You rated so many games. I am impressed. See you next time.
I am really impressed (done during 12 hours?)! This is one of my favorite games in LD40. I have hard time to stop playing. Really! It seems to be well balanced and sounds are amazing. It reminds me of old arcade games (I recently visited arcade games museum and played such pieces as Space Invaders). You game is fun to play! I will share my score here later today... ;-) Constructive criticism: Those stars are maybe moving too fast... Maybe...
spatium-calorem-score-18000.png My score (as I promised): 18000 ;-)
Pretty nice and challenging old school game with cool graphics! Good job. ;-)
Hello from Prague! :) Aesthetics are really great. Game is hard but that is, I guess, intentional. :) Good job!
Good job! I like fluid movement. Reminds me of a good old games like Ultima Underworld and Elder Scrolls: Arena.
I am impressed. This is very nice and polished game. I like idea and music the most! :-)
I like graphics! ;-)
This is absolutely amazing! Perfect job!
@gamecreatorc Hi, I just rated your game. It is pretty good piece! I liked it from beginning to the end! :) BTW, why are you not rating games? Do you know that you need to rate games to get enough ratings?
Wow! This is so polished. This is one of the best entries I played so far! Good job. I especially liked transition effects between levels (it is rarely seen in LD games) and audio effects. The only thing I missed (or overlooked?) was the current level number displayed between levels. In 4th level I started thinking about how many levels I already finished... ;-) It also reminded me of one of my first games I implemented on ZX Spectrum compatible computer more than 20 years ago. The game was called Colonel Caterpillar and had similar game mechanics (yes, it was puzzle game inspired by Snake).
@vfabien21 Thank you for your comment! Yes, our team member Vaclav Spiral made the music during Jam. He is very talented music composer! I don't know puzzlescript. I will take a look. Thank you. ;-)
@vfabien21 Yes. ;)
@vfabien2 Didn't you forgot to rate as in Audio category at the end? Somebody didn't rate us in Audio. I just wanted to ask you... ;)
@yayiest Thank you! The best browser for our game is Firefox (it is bug in our code - sorry about that). In Firefox you should be able also hear music (different song) on start screen if you did not hear it in Chrome (I bet you didn't).
This is best entry we played so far! Excellent game mechanics and overall atmosphere. Graphics could be better but we cannot say it is ugly. Very good job. ;-)
I really like combination of Grey Goo and video game. ;) Simple audio but great atmosphere! Good job.
This is very nice and polished game. And most importantly, I enjoyed playing it. Improve audio and it will be perfect! ;)
This is one of the best entires I played so far. You have very nice intro with original story and with voiceover! It is amazing. Graphics is in special style and not bad at all. Great! I have to show this game to our oldest kid tomorrow. She will like it. Good job. Good team work. What else to say. I believe you really enjoyed doing this game together. Keep it up! ;-)
@blinkenlights Firstly I overlooked it too but there is web version: the one with "from v1.1.0 onwards". - My comment to this game: This is one of the best entries we played so far. There is great atmosphere, music is very good (did you composed this during 48 hours?) and good story. Good job! ;-)
Very interesting idea! It is interesting but it is also hard to play. I agree with @alex-adedge. it would be nice to be able somehow avoid blackholes which appeared at same point where I decided to click. Good job anyway. ;)
Nice and simple game. I enjoyed playing it. Feedback: It would be nice to wait a little bit when player failed (to be able to make note of score). ;) Or wait for some key to continue... Very good job!
Wow, this is hard. I managed to find and drink only two beers... :D - It is hard to control but it is probably intent, right? As it is hard to control drunk body... ;)
I have no words. This is AWESOME! This is PERFECT! I'm stuck in the falling block level (need to practice controls because I'm not able to run and jump through it quick enough...) but I will keep trying (I'm eager to see and play more levels)!
@antti-haavikko: Thank you for very detailed feedback! It is really appreciated. @bobo-oh, @budark, @ricky-owings: Thank you for the feedback! It is really appreciated. @ginahe: We are planning to embed it here. Stay tuned. Thank you for the feedback!
@mandytoh Thank you for playing. I agree but it is kind of the only puzzle in the game ;-) @ironcutter Thank you for your comment. I was thinking about to make restart part of the game (e.g. restart it by picking something) but we run out of time. In other words, yeah, you are right, player must be very lucky to be able to finish the game without restart feature. But even with this modification somebody could say: "It was a little frustrating realizing that to pick the last piece I had to start over though." ;-) @defilerzero Interesting feedback. Thank you very much for playing!
@ironcutter Thank you. Those are very interesting ideas...
@quoc Thank you for playing!
@cataclysmicknight @flying-dog-fish @candlesan @juels @mikouaji @delpod Thank you! :smiley:
@yword @gamebuilder Thank you! :smiley:
@saskle @congusbongus @douglas Thank you! :smiley:
This is one of the best games I played and rated so far! In Theme category this game is (for me) the BEST I played and rated during this Ludum Dare. Nice aesthetics and pretty polished... Also, I enjoyed playing it (to the very end)! Good job, guys!
Not my cup of tea but it is very well made and polished tiny game! Good job. Really!
@guitarbro: Hi, I cannot walk on stairs (up/down). So, I tried to find some video on YouTube and people are walking on stairs (up and down). I just watched first 36 seconds of this video (YouTube ID: q1LNFwBNKcU) to not see any spoilers. Do I need to press some key in front of stairs? Moving forward (w key) is not working with stairs... - EDIT: Playing on Windows...
@guitarbro Thank you for reply. It will probably be by low framerate. Playing it on Acer Aspire E1-532G, Intel Pentium 3556 Processor (1.7GHz, 2MB L3 cache), AMD Radeon R5 M240 with 1GB Dedicated VRAM, 4GB DDR3 Memory.
@guitarbro After a few attempts to make it work on MacBook Pro 2015 (same issue with stairs) I decided to spend some time to prepare best computer I have here and it is working now! Finally! :-) And I have to say it was worth it! I finished the game. It is not the one of the best games I played and rated so far. It IS the BEST GAME I played and rated so far! Everything is perfect (graphics, audio, game design, level design and voice-over) and it was fun to play! I was watching you since you were posting blog posts during Ludum Dare and I was looking forward to play it. This is the kind of game (with this kind of atmosphere) I would like to make some day. Feedback: For this kind of 3D games could be good idea to mention minimal configuration. Also, I would love to play this kind of game in mode where countdown is running only when you are moving but this (how you decided to do it) is perfectly alright. Also, possibility to enable V-sync with 60 FPS (and avoid 180 FPS with PC burning 250-300W) would be nice but it is acceptable for this kind of short game. I can imagine this game winning this Ludum Dare. Guys, good job! :-)
This is amazing! I love the idea, atmosphere, ... This is one of the best entries I played and rated so far!
This is very nice concept... ...and very well executed! ;-) It is great that those curses are random. It is good for replayability! Will try to play again when I boot fastest computer (rating on an old notebook now...) Will I beat or will I not beat @delightfullymad's Hi-SCORE:question:
Interesting atmosphere! I agree with @alpharock6: "Nice entry, especially for such a short self-imposed deadline!" -- Also, I have to say, I enjoyed the music! :notes:
I like not only this simple game but also this platform for which I never developed anything yet. BTW, Game Over screen is awesome! Good job!
It looked simple and easy until they started following me around... Amazingly simple game which is progressively more and more hard! Good job!
Great audio and nice aesthetics. Good job!
This is very nice entry! I managed to serve only 4 customers (first time) but I would like to try to play more! It is fun to play, interesting concept, nice both graphics and audio! Very good job.
Very nice aesthetics! Thank you for tutorial!
Great aesthetics! Amazing atmosphere! Good job, guys!
I was trying to search for Minecraft on Steam but... SearchingForMinecraftOnSteam.png
UPDATE:
Will it work with this one? I'm considering to buy it just to be able to play and rate your game! ;-) WillItWorkWithThisMinecraft.png
I enjoyed playing your game. There is similar game (from other LD participant) called Coffee Rush which I enjoyed too but your game is more fun. Also, I like the retro style of your game. Overall: Very nice and polished entry! Well done!
I enjoyed playing your game. I liked warning signs before bullets. There are well chosen GFX assets and suitable audio! Also, color palette seems to be nicely put together. It is very polished entry! I really have nothing to add here. Wait! I have an idea now! It would be (maybe) interesting to spawn some item to slow down the time (when picked up) or something like that... Good job.
I like atmosphere and how the game is polished. Nice entry for COMPO game! Good job.
@ginahe I like intro, graphics and audio but I have no idea how to play the game. Should I avoid dustbins? Once I enter it I never get out. :-)
@ginahe: Thank you for reply. Now I finished your game! Good entry! :-)
Yeah, it is as unforgiving as good old games. I like it. I finished a lot of levels but have no idea how many. Did I give up in last level? No idea. ;-) I will probably try again later! Feedback: Would be nice to see number of current level somewhere (or did I overlooked it?). Good job!
@darchankaen, @devez, @vectrex28 Thank you for your comments! ❤️ I used to be proud owner of Czechoslovak clone of ZX Spectrum. Atari 800XL would be very nice addition to my collection of retro computers. ;-). There seems to be something very magical about 8-bit era... 🕹️
@freakyzelga Thank you. Yes, some movement animation would be nice. Or at least compass.
@kentin-bk Thank you!
@quinn-patrick Thanks! Yes, monsters, that would be nice. ;-) Not enought time... I was planning to make automapping but did not managed to do it at the end.
@jk5000 Thank you! ;-)
@tom-wadley Thank you for the comment. I was planning to have automapping on the right but I run out of time. ;-) In last hour I was thinking about increasing size of maze view but there are some tweaks (in projection) which are done for that exact size of maze view. So, I decided to not risk breaking it and kept maze view as it is.
Good graphics, interesting music and pretty polished GUI. Not bad at all. Pretty hard game! Reminding me of hard games from 8-bit era... ;-)
This is one of the best entries so far. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to play (read: to avoid game over). I usually read description how to play but in this case I somehow forgot. I did not finish it but I enjoyed flying and playing with gravity. :-)
Very nice! I really enjoyed playing this! It is funny and (from my point of view) innovative. It is one of the best entries I played so far! Good job! :-)
Pretty good entry. Interesting idea. You could try to make width of dialogs a little bit wider for better look. Good job! ;-)
Very well executed! I enjoyed learning how to fly and then delivered food to at least 7 tables. One of the best LD53 entries (at least for me) so far! ;-)
Such a nice and polished game. I played it up to level 13, for now (will come back to it later). I would love to be able to adjust music volume (or increase volume of sound effects). Excellent job. Best entry so far. I really loved playing it. ❤️
This is really impressive! I did not managed to make more than 900 (hard game!) but graphics and audio are really like form the PRO. Entirely written in assembler for real console? I like that. Good job! ;-)
@vectrex28 Thank you for reply. Diagonally? Will try. BTW, I would love to be able to redefine keys. With current controls I often jump instead of shooting, and vice versa. Also, this kind of game is ideal for playing with joystick. ;-)
18712! ;-) 23760! ;-) Nice entry! Good job!
It is pretty cool change (camera) when you are sinking! This game I will remember. Good job! ;-)
LLLL271.png
Great game and great idea with leaderboard! :-)
I would like to see this more finished but I enjoyed trying it out. You probably run out of time, I guess. I managed to deliver 5 boxes! :-)
Interesting idea and pretty well executed. Second delivery "transformed" into multiple pieces. :D Good job.
It is pretty funny (scenarios) but also pretty HARD! ;-) I enjoyed playing it. Very good job for COMPO game!
Nice aesthetics. Pretty polished game. I managed to progress to the level with falling platforms... ;-) Good job!
Very nice and polished entry! I managed to make score 9700 and then I lost ability to recognize right colors :D
PD: 39; CDS-004; MDL: 4! It started to be fun after I reached certain speed! :-) Not bad at all for COMPO GAME. There are a few things that could be more polished but that's OK. Good job!
@ruthiepee When you push all 4 keys simultaneously and many times then cheat is working (at least for some time)...
Fired.png
Then I was fired anyway... ...probably for cheating... ;-)
@j4cko16 Nice and polished game! Good job!
This is very nice and polished game. Simple ambient (audio) but I liked it when I played it (until the end). Playing this game was pretty pleasant experience. Thank you! :hearts: ;-) Good job!
Very nice and polished entry! It is pretty challenging to play! Yes, it is "Really hard and unforgiving..." ;-) Very good job!
It is nice and pretty hard game. I managed to deliver just one package (at least one!). I like colors (combination) and textures. I enjoyed playing it. Good job! :-)
Good job for 6 hours! :)
Very nice entry! Smokescreen is my favorite. ;-)
Interesting combination. The game is funny. We did managed to play up to third level!
This is absolutely amazing! We finished it! :) Very good job!
I like this! Very nice and addictive game. ;-)
Funny combination. We finished all 4 levels. Fun to play!
Game with great atmosphere! We finished each level under 1 minute. It would be nice to be able to play more. Very good job! :-)
Funny and polished game! Good work.
Very nice entry! Did your team make music during jam?
