Please state how players can switch weapons.

@MoonlightBomber: Good idea, thank you! I've updated the description to include how to play the game.

@Uliana Galich: Can you please describe how you got that message? The game loads and runs safely in the multiple computers and browsers I've tested.

Nice game, with a well done ambiance. Maybe it needs a little balancing because some ennemies could not launch their attack and ammos never decrease between levels. But it is really a good work.

Really fun. Well put together, controls felt good. I played for quite a while which is always a good sign. Shop seemed reasonably fair although I found it hard to justify using anything other than the machine gun. The difficulty takes a little too long to ramp up but the enemies are interesting and add good variety, some balance tweaks and some more grooming of the visuals and this is a solid game.

Fun arena shooter! The motion of the light created a neat effect that fit well with the mood of the game. My only suggestion if you keep working on this is that it is a bit disorienting when you flash after being hit--maybe flash a color instead of on/off? Otherwise, nice game!

Great game! I had a lot of fun playing. I'd suggest increasing the difficulty slightly faster and having faster player bullets so shooting feels more responsive, but a great entry overall. You have a nice game loop.

Great game, Enjoyed it alot, its probably one of the most balanced wave games ive played this LD, loved the simplicity of the graphics and the premise of protecting a sleeping princess, pretty sweet. Great entry

Good game! I thought the difficulty curve could be shortened - it takes a long time to become difficult. Also there should be a sound when you buy something in the shop. The long shadows caused by the light moving behind the walls are distracting.

Otherwise this is really good! It's very polished too.

Liked the music here, and what it does for the mood.

I enjoyed this game.
Forgive my bad English

Wow! Solid game you guys got here! I played on the web build embedded here on LD, and lasted 'til a score of 1240. I think this is well done, but since you politely asked to leave as much feedback as I can, I'll try... :P

When I tried to use the bombs, all of them got spent with only a single right click. I'm guessing that it has to be changed to be triggered by a Input.GetMouseButtonDown instead of an Input.GetMouseButton.

I think the lighting change was a cool idea! Not sure if this was intentional, but they way the shadows were constantly moving during gameplay may have been a little distracting. I'd personally prefer keeping the lights dimmed down during nightmare time, and just flicking them on during shopping time between waves. Maybe the enemies could have some glow-in-the-dark parts on them too!

All the music fit really well! Additional sound effects for item drop/pickup and bomb explosions, and different sounds for different weapons, and different grunts for different enemies would be nice to have too!

Towards the later levels as enemy numbers start becoming slightly overwhelming (or maybe just "whelming" :P), I was kinda wishing I could upgrade the guns to be stronger, besides just buying more ammo for them.

Level transitions were totally sweet. I am also fond of the art style found in the shop. I had good fun playing this! Quite nicely fleshed out and polished compared to many other entries. You guys did a great job! :)

Nice entry. Although some people having already mentioned it, the character blinking when taking damage was not ideal, at least at that speed. I also feel that the game was too easy (enemies were mostly 1-on-1 battles), but I did not reach high enough levels to see if the difficulty increases.

Otherwise, very cute graphics and mood! Seems rather polished overall.

Wow! Very nice game! Good job. ;-) Feedback: It would be nice with some game over screen over the scene. When player is dead there is no chance to check out the score/points.

A very nicely put together game. It fits the theme perfectly. I didn't figure out how to switch weapons using mouse and keyboard but it was still a fun game.

simonhutchinson 2017-01-02 15:02

Nice job taking the twin-stick shooter in a slightly different direction. I really like the little details like how the room splits apart for the enemies to come in.

mestrerothwp 2017-01-02 16:50

The explosion effect (postjam) was really awesome.

jupiter_hadley 2017-01-06 15:55

Nice game! I included it in my compilation video series of the Ludum Dare 37 games, if you’d like to take a look. :) https://youtu.be/gkZsQxjDEm8
