This is awesome, and I thought the visuals were great, the abstraction works very well with the abstract gameplay. It's hard and I didnt read the instructions properly to start with which didn't help but well done.
This was really well done, loved it. Music was perfect, controls felt great. the difficulty stepped up in really nice increments but I think the progression was a little slow which made repeated play throughs pretty tedious. fantastic submission overall though.
very memorable entry, the jumping mechanic felt great, sounds were appropriate, I just enjoyed jumping about.
Good game. controls felt response, solidly put together, more monsters would have been cool.
Always enjoy bow and arrow games, generally enjoyed it, and hitting the targets felt very satisfying, aiming was a little rough. Music got annoying especially the sudden loud portion. Nice work though, challenging and fun.
very nice, straight forward little game. that last level was quite difficult to line the final jump up but got it in the end.
Nice aesthetic, solid platformer. The subtle animation was really well executed.
Really good, loved it. challenging and the bosses attack patterns were really satisfying to beat after learning how to deal with them. Good animations as well, this is pretty impressive for a compo entry.
very funny, the expressions looked great. Not sure about the rhythm game parts, and the text prompts were a little two far from the face which made it a little frustrating sometimes. Overall really memorable game, had me laughing out loud.
quite minimal in terms of challenge, but the music and writing were good.
Sorry no embedded version had problems with player dimensions
took me a longest time and a browse of the comments to figure out about throwing the boomerang upwards. bit of fun once I got going, wasn't really sure of how to make any meaningful progress and found it really hard to get back the boomerang back once it was covered in letters. Music was good and made the whole experience more fun.
I really like this and played for quite awhile, but as others mentioned it was hard to gauge progress.
Nicely done, good puzzle mechanics, sometimes pretty frustrating, perhaps some of the pacing and movement could do with some tweaking.
This is really impressive, the gameplay is enjoyable and challenging, fits the theme perfectly.
Funny premise. I was defeated but it I had the machine down to 3 HP, very exciting. Sorry to hear about your issues, good on you all the same, next time.
had a few good runs, but found the experience more frustrating than challenging, the game itself is really well put together but I think UI needs to indicate time left more clearly and the difficulty needs some tweaking. overall though its really well done and once I got the hang of the dashing and jumping I got some good runs going.
The graphics are great, game-play could be more interesting although the idea seems fruitful.
Obviously not really a game yet as you mention, but it looks fantastic. Could no doubt turn this in to something.
great work. really enjoyed this one, good music and graphics. hitboxes and feedback around combat was a little off, but understandable given what you guys achieved otherwise in the time.
Really liked the audio and graphics. The Gameplay didn't seem complete, and I'm very suspicious as to there being 12 sheep in the map, I played both versions you submitted and searched the whole map over and over and could only ever find 11. the movement was a little frustrating as the move commands wouldn't override the previous command.
Great looking effort though, and I imagine you could turn it into a great game with a little more time.
Bit loose on the theme as the colored squares could represent just about anything, but the game was awesome. I really enjoyed it, simple puzzle mechanics used in really interesting and challenging ways.
This is really good, most complete game experience I've run into so far. graphics, animation and sound were fantastic.
game play was really innovative. Perhaps needs a little difficulty balancing. I couldn't get past the 3rd level. I may have been missing something stealth tactics wise.
Music and mood were great. I kind of liked the fact finding aspect of it and could see that being successful with more questions, shame you didn't have more time.
Interesting concept, got the point across well. It was quite hard, maybe I'm thick though. was a little hard initially to understand the gravity of any given choice, which was fun in some ways because it meant I would just spend up and crash and burn. Perhaps that's the point.
I don't think any of it rendered properly on my machine(it was like the visual artifacts from each frame were remaining between the tiles) but I finished the game, it was fun and challenging, I mainly avoiding the enemies but had to hack through hordes in parts. I really loved your sound and music, it was a bit crazy and dissonant but I thought it was awesome.
Felt really good to play, well put together.
Fantastic gamefeel, great sounds, addictive.
Great game, took me a little while to figure out what to do, but the gameplay was enjoyable. the reduced vision when in chest form made it really tense. I wonder if the soldiers should have a little peripheral vision if you were to develop it further. Great Voice acting and music, and I like that you had variations for the sounds
Really simple and funny. You do feel like a jerk playing it but the music keeps you pumped to continue. Could have done with checkpoints, wasn't so funny replaying it all to get back to where you were.
Really liked your music, and the sounds were charming.
I read your comment about what to do first so I knew to destroy the buildings, I think it would be good for that to be indicated in game some how. The game play seems straight forward and fun, but it needs more more user feedback when you attack the buildings and a clear end goal.
COULDNT PLAY IT
I think you've output this incorrectly. If this is a unity webplayer build(which it looks like it is) you need to host it somewhere. You need an HTML file as well as the game files but your link only has HTML.
Okay got it going now from the link in your comment.
The graphics look promising.
But I Don't have any idea how to play it, I checked through the unity boot configure menu for the buttons but that didn't really help. Is the character supposed to be able to shoot?
The "you lose" text being a physics object was funny.
I think you Can edit your submission page. Might be worthwhile explaining what the player does and changing the link (most people wont see your comment)
That was really good, music was awesome. Game play was really fun and challenging, quite hard but really satisfying when you get the hang of it. I wish those slingshot girls didn't fire the second shot just before they die. Final boss was hard as nails.
Such a good job, really enjoyed it.
Pretty Fun. Once you figure out the tactic of running perpendicular to the shooters and lunging in between shots it feels pretty good to play. might have been better with the ability to run on diagonals though.
Mood and audio was really good. Interacting with things was a bit awkward, was there a set order you had to go through the objects in? I got to the end but mainly just by going back and forth over each area and discovering things were clickable.
Really good Audio and graphics. The left seemed to be bound to 'q' rather than 'a' strangely. I found the dash surprisingly satisfying given that it was only a very short boost and the people ran at around the same speed as you, made every chase quite tense.
Interesting Idea. The Game play is a bit easy though. I think if the UFO couldn't fire non-stop and you had to time your attacks to intercept the shots it could be a really challenging and fun.
Great gamefeel, awesome styling and audio.
Great music. Nice simple idea that is actually quite challenging.
Really fun. Well put together, controls felt good. I played for quite a while which is always a good sign. Shop seemed reasonably fair although I found it hard to justify using anything other than the machine gun. The difficulty takes a little too long to ramp up but the enemies are interesting and add good variety, some balance tweaks and some more grooming of the visuals and this is a solid game.
Really nice submission. Fun and Challenging.
Awesome. Not sure if there was an end point. I played for quite a long time and didn't seem to notice anything like progress. I really loved your game though, awesome wonky art and gameplay. One of my favorites so far. This kind of game is what ludum dare is all about.
Liked the music. I found the gameplay a little hard to follow.
looked really good and seems like the seed of a pretty good game. controls were a little wonky sometimes.
