1-why characters have a bad conflict with walls?
2-when a player triggers something you have to tell him that he something has changed you can do it by many ways.

to start the game both characters have to touch the start button
we were working on some extra features that makes the game more fun but we ran out of time.LuxPerpetua im really sorry that i havent noticed double jump before. thanks for reply and feedback.

its multiplayer cuz of i did all the coding alone and im not an expert programmer.
i dont know how to port it on mac its exe file from game maker8.0
@2HitMatt : i know that its hard to win in that codition by now the player who has to chase gains extra speed i know thats not enough we were working on some extra features which we could not end them cuz of time.

Hi steven .now that you said that game seems much better to me although i actually didnt get that in game. i suggest you that show it to player in game for example see how dark souls series do it. when you die there will be a sign that shows your death and also signs for other players.I liked the game and idea a lot and hope you many good rates!
