LD29 — Beneath the Surface

Beneath the surface with Sir Walter Wuffington by Larzan 2014-05-07T19:48:00

I thought this was a pretty cool idea. You should expand on this and polish it up a bit.

Splodey Boats by Sodaware 2014-04-29T22:07:00

This is a very solid game. Well put together, with a perfect difficulty curve. Excellent work with this.

The Sea Has No Claim by dukope 2014-05-08T19:40:00

This is awesome. Well done.

Carnival Warfare by pinkmonkeyhead 2014-04-29T06:14:00

I am the best salesman! Seriously, good job with this. I think the theme link was a bit of a stretch though... I'm not sure what happened on day 2, they said I was fired, and then I came back the next day? Oh well! Great game!

A Warm Summer's Eve by Mythalore 2014-05-07T19:39:00

I almost felt like this was more of a free verse poem than anything, the way the words moved with what was happening and changed color.

Beneath the Sur(e)face by Potato & Taco 2014-04-28T19:28:00

Haha I honestly don't know how anyone will be able to complete this without the source code. But reading through that was kind of funny anyway (as far as the things you needed to ask to continue). I guess John has some family matters to attend to ;)

Descent by alyphen 2014-04-28T18:06:00

Had to set the difficulty to easy, and I still sucked pretty bad. Tough control system to get used to. I got to the point where you break through the wall that is exactly as wide as you are and... well... like I said I'm no pilot. Good work for 48 hours.

La Dolce Mare by mutuware 2014-04-28T19:41:00

Well, I was originally going to rate a 5 in humor because I could swim to spaaaaaaaaace!!!.... and then the octopus got me... I straight up lost it.
Nice work.

Aqua by littleball 2014-04-29T21:18:00

I wish the piano track looped, that was a sweet song. It looks like there are multiple treasures you can find. And keys in the walls o_o Overall, nice job, for someone who stresses out about precise platforming, this was a relaxing change of pace.

Deep Sea Mission by xandy 2014-05-02T03:30:00

Good mood and everything. I honestly had no idea where to go though... I just dived and dived... Didn't see any targets, rocks, or mines.

Fullmoon by kogyblack 2014-05-02T03:33:00

Not too shabby. I agree with your interpretation of the theme. It works :)

Go Below by GagaPete 2014-05-07T19:22:00

Pretty solid game you have here. I think it would be worth expanding.

Vertico by UltimateWalrus 2014-04-28T06:01:00

This game is fantastic! I think I managed to take advantage of a bug where I would kill enemies to fill my oxygen so full that it wouldn't go down if I didn't get hurt, but regardless, I just kept going down wanting to see what was at the bottom and I found and destroyed it! Awesome work!

Deepeon by HacksawUnit 2014-05-07T18:07:00

Unfortunately, the sound wasn't working on my browser (that doesn't surprise me). Even without the sound, the mood set up in this game was very good. Nice work with this.

RAD - Robot Assisted Digging by pinion 2014-04-28T17:26:00

This is a pretty solid game. It runs well and has a good mechanic, although it would be nice to have a little bit more detailed sprites for the character, house, and robots. I thought the mechanic was well implemented, although there technically is no way to lose (although that's not necessarily a bad thing :) ) All things considered, I think it was well done.

Youdunnit by NightShadow0 2014-04-28T18:50:00

I think I want to come back to this game later... I really enjoy these types of puzzles, and you've done it on two levels. You have to figure out what you are so you can last long enough to figure out who is exhibiting traits of another monster that you can frame them as. I still haven't won yet, but this is definitely a game I'd have to write things out to figure out. Awesome work. I only wish the music was a little more ambient/eerie than it is.

Flood Trap by amymist 2014-04-28T04:57:00

I tried playing a few different times to save the people. I never figured out what the pipe I acquired was for. I got to one room that just said "room content" (don't remember the path). A bit easy to get lost, but that's to be expected in text based games. I think the alternate "endings" is a good idea, but the strength of text based games lies partially in the story which I felt wasn't there.

Captain John's Buried Treasures by martijn 2014-04-28T06:22:00

Thought it was your basic platformer up until I saw how to use bombs. Then I just blew the crap out of everything! :) That was pretty fun, but the frame rate seemed to lag pretty significantly. I imagine each of those blocks might have been doing a bit too much causing the game to run a bit slowly. Overall cool dynamic terrain effects.

Ray Hey Hey by shotiris 2014-04-28T05:16:00

So, I don't know if there was something wrong, but controls felt completely unresponsive. I literally felt like I was watching a video of someone else play... Groovy audio though.

Leaving Home by sbarrio 2014-05-07T19:01:00

This seems like it's worth expanding on.

Splitted by CodeHat 2014-05-07T20:06:00

Blah blah blah the jumping... ;) Other than that, cool game.

Beneath the Surface, Drillsnake by ioboi 2014-04-29T21:06:00

I feel like the drill needs to be a bit faster for this to really be fun. Overall, cool idea for a concept, it was just a little slow game play. (Maybe I didn't use enough drills ;)

Snack on the fly by pandavigoureux 2014-05-07T17:59:00

Pretty sweet. The graphics have really nice contrast. I would recommend developing this further for the mobile platform.

Total Tipanic by tiffi_gaming 2014-05-07T18:30:00

Saved the Tipanic. I am awesome.

Mission "Tank" by Doubstract 2014-04-28T05:10:00

Dat music tho... Seriously. the mood was with this one. Zombie sprites were great. I can't say I was a huge fan of the "fight scenes", but it worked. Not sure where I got my $2 from to revive myself ;) The shooting king zombies put me in a situation I couldn't get out of... And I guess my head is a shotgun... Pretty sweet dude. Good work.

Pinger by Chris Mondok 2014-05-07T19:36:00

This is actually surprisingly fun. Using the classic triangulating technique to find exactly where treasure is located is very satisfying. Nice work with this.

Submarines Vs. Airplanes by bastos 2014-04-29T05:49:00

Those planes sure do drop a lot of bombs... Can't say I got very far in this game. That being said, I like the style, and the audio fit well.

Nesty Fall by cleitoneldorn 2014-05-07T18:42:00

The checkpoint system is VERY nice, especially when I'm sliding into those stupid spikes on those trickier jumps.
Something was wrong with my audio. It was all out of sync (like way late or something...). Good work.

ResourceDivers by Rock48 2014-04-29T05:46:00

Played all the way through! You created a very good balance of allowing the player to make enough progress with the upgrades to want to continue playing to the end.

Subspace by Ratchetmon 2014-04-28T05:38:00

It looks like this didn't quite get finished. It would be nice to have some kind of simple ambient audio. The idea of switching between the two spaces two navigate the maze is pretty awesome. (Took a while for me to find stuff :) ). Although I'm almost positive I got all 4 artifacts, and the wall still didn't let me through :/. Also, when you switch to the subspace after getting an artifact, the artifact reappears.

Fortune Miner by Enzo42 2014-04-29T21:40:00

Good first entry. I think the low frame rate might have been a little much for me though. Keep it up!

Beneath Your House by ceosol 2014-04-29T20:57:00

Ha every time the guy said he had to go back down, I was like, "Uh no I think you can retire now". Silly man...

Mole Empire by PriorBlue 2014-05-02T03:16:00

Man those spiders are OP... Sweet lighting/shadow effect.

Hold On To Your Nuts by PartyBoat 2014-04-28T06:39:00

Oh yeah, and watch out for the snakes... right... I'll do that... (Drops nuts)

I'm Guilty by pandamicro 2014-04-28T15:51:00

Great twist. I don't know why others don't think this hits the theme. The twist is about as close to the theme as you can get. Jumping felt a little wonky sometimes, but meh 48 hours :) You've created a good experience with simple gameplay.

The Loudest Ballerina by whalebot 2014-04-28T15:54:00

Thanks everyone to has played it so far. Glad you enjoy it. If it helps you remember the controls:

(from left to right)
Z X C
jump spin bend
Red Yellow Green

Now go make dad proud! (and don't get eaten...)

The Loudest Ballerina by whalebot 2014-04-28T15:57:00

Well the formatting of those controls got screwed up so let's try this:

(from left to right)
Red: Z (jump)
Yellow: X (spin)
Green: C (bend)

The Loudest Ballerina by whalebot 2014-04-29T04:28:00

For those interested, my high score is 158227. 1000 imaginary points to anyone who can beat it!

The Loudest Ballerina by whalebot 2014-05-02T19:48:00

@Andy Gainey

Thanks for playing! You actually do have some choices (although they aren't made completely obvious I'll admit).

-Doing any move at any time will win over the crowd (unless it is done in the incorrect spotlight, they really don't like that...). However, doing the move outside of the spotlight makes a ton of noise that will wake up the monster.
-As you realized, the jump wins over the crowd the most, but it also makes the most noise if you don't land in the spotlight. It is also worth the most points. (high risk/reward)
-You *can* placate the monster by simply not moving (making less noise) or doing fewer special moves. However, this tends to make the audience very unhappy (especially your dad, who worked so hard to make those shoes for you...)
-As far as the spotlights go, I realize that this game is not incredibly deep (due to the 48 hour limit). So you'll notice that as the game progresses, it gets harder and harder to get to a spotlight. This was intentional, so you don't get a stupidly awesome high score and then never play again.

I will be implementing online high scores in the future, so that should add more incentive for replay :)

60 Seconds and a Wake Up by CayoDaves 2014-05-07T20:20:00

At times I felt the controls were a little wonky, but this may have been my browser acting up... -_-

Cave Escape by gamengineer 2014-04-29T22:16:00

Short sweet and to the point. Thanks for making this.

Spelunker Boxing by NTR 2014-04-28T06:28:00

Pretty fun game, although didn't really fit the theme. That being said, the computer is better at boxing than I am...

Box Simulator by terraco 2014-04-28T06:34:00

WTF. Box. This game deserves an award.

Graeber by OmarAj 2014-05-07T17:36:00

I felt like the balance may have been a little too easy. I never felt I was in danger of losing all my health, and could have gone on forever.

Cybs Submarine by Cybs 2014-04-29T05:55:00

It's a copter clone. But, for your first web game, you have to start somewhere. Great job implementing this classic game :) (also add a keyboard option ;) )

Deep terror by ghostonline 2014-04-29T22:12:00

Nice work with this. I like the twist you introduce by letting the player be the monster.

The Dead Beneath by Myyyvothrr 2014-05-01T17:47:00

Pretty nifty little game. I liked letting the zombies build up on a platform and then just tear through them like a boss.

Little Viking by pythong 2014-04-28T06:13:00

Are you kidding me? Double spikes on a slant? ... -_- Sadly, I could not get past this jump before I rage quit. Comic style is awesome. Music seemed to be mocking me after my 50th+ try...

Persona by GFM 2014-04-29T21:29:00

Great game you put together here. I think it would be even more interesting if you expanded on it with different endings based on how you used the masks. Nice work!

Beneath by nicso 2014-04-29T21:55:00

Solid game. I think my only complaint might be the lack of sprites for the red enemies. Nice work!

Arctic Antics by Miltage 2014-04-28T17:43:00

Thanks to you, I now have a new least favorite aquatic mammal... Beautiful music, fantastic graphics, holy difficulty batman. You definitely have the addicting short game play element going for you. I managed to get 8 pages of my documents before giving up on studying orcas forever.

Amazing pixel art. Overall great story telling. Really well done with this.

Attack of the Holodorks by gritfish 2014-09-09T23:41:00

Galactic Pest Control by HeyChinaski 2014-09-04T17:35:00

Man this is intense! Nice work!

Phantom Hunter by Zathalos 2014-09-04T18:06:00

Oddwall by DWallin 2014-09-09T22:20:00

That second level took me a while ;) Nice work!

Spanner by Cosmologicon 2014-09-04T18:24:00

I like the random mumblings of the sleeping people :D

Blue Rays by KEFIR 2014-09-09T20:13:00

Even though it was super short, this felt really nice. Flying through space between the planets was awesome.

Videogame Hero by shatterhand 2014-09-02T18:19:00

While some people struggle to make one simple game for this jam, you managed to pull off making 5 (6 counting the Game HUB). Nice work! I just wish there was a little more predictability with which power-ups you were getting so you could have more control over keeping yourself alive.

Rocket Science! by timtipgames 2014-09-09T17:16:00

First Android Ludum Dare entry I've tried. Nice work!

2D3DMAZE by boddiul 2014-09-10T22:45:00

This was pretty sweet.

Your world! by Julgodis 2014-09-02T18:57:00

Well put together. Although I'd say the tie-in to the theme was a bit slapped on. Good tower defense game though!

Trust Music by Fonserbc 2014-09-09T23:25:00

I couldn't move with the mouse but I was still able to get to the point where you play chords... That was awesome.

4 by Esenti 2014-09-02T23:26:00

I swear this jam is wreaking more havoc on my brain that it can handle... Nice work!

Cesarino's Friendly Interplanetary Delivery Service by ZYXer 2014-09-02T22:58:00

I think I may have developed a serious case of road rage thanks to this game... I just wanted to get the bonus so badly!!

ConnectTheWorlds by mrexcessive 2014-09-02T18:38:00

Pretty funny :) Took me about ten tries to figure out how the heck to make my burners work, but once I figured it out, it was a decent game mechanic.

Into the Woods by emmelineprufrock 2014-09-02T23:46:00

You're very good at this story telling business...

Fear - Friendly Extraterrestrial Assembly Robot by Erkberg 2014-09-03T22:29:00

I can't even imagine hardcore mode on this... Nice game!

Welcome to WorldCo Airlines by siat 2014-09-09T23:50:00

This would be great to expand on. Generate dynamic "quests" to get somewhere, and have the player solve them each time. Regardless, great work!

The MillionWood by frogcheese 2014-09-02T20:27:00

I think I may have been on the last level before I rage quit... This game is really well done, the music and everything works so well together. And something about the way the spiders moved I really liked. That being said, holy crap some of those levels are hard.

Song of Elements by Sascha 2014-09-09T21:34:00

I love this style of writing. Great work!

Dreamland by edemmester 2014-09-08T17:23:00

I'm not sure I fully grasped what the switches were actually doing when I switched them, but I still made it through!

TRAVEL by chadiik 2014-09-09T22:40:00

Took me a bit to figure out what the heck I was doing. Then I clicked on a planet and BOOM! flying through the stars... Awesome work!

Come Creatures, Come pls by okmmjyygv 2014-09-02T19:38:00

Well I was doing great until I managed to get a segfault.. :( Oh well, I thought the mechanic was actually really good, even if it was taking me forever to get those stupid animals to follow the trail I left for them...

Nice work!

Capsule by PaperBlurt 2014-09-10T01:49:00

Excellent writing. I thoroughly enjoyed that.

Connected Worlds by WesleyJohnson 2014-09-10T23:01:00

Great level design. I'd recommend removing the press any key to continue part and just put the player in the next room though. No reason to have the player do that.

Don't Eat Cute by gnerkus 2014-09-10T00:15:00

Stupid bunnies... go where I want you to go! Nice job :)

The art style of the worlds is pretty cool. I couldn't figure out how to get the grandpa to connect though...

Linker by Digiraze 2014-09-02T20:55:00

Definitely tried connecting with one wormhole. My retinas regret it :D. Pretty cool concept. Would work well on a touch interface.

A Game about Making a Game by rlangewi 2014-08-25T03:12:00

Well done brofes! I won't spoil it for the rest of you, but this was pretty awesome.

Salvation by 43iscoding 2014-09-02T22:16:00

This is excellent. Classic example of really good level design. I managed to save everyone after a bunch of retries! I would seriously consider porting this to the mobile platform. It would do really well I think.

ultra VR by remmy 2014-09-10T00:08:00

This was great. I agree with whoever else said that there was potential for an alternate ending if you got rid of the potato salad. Regardless, nice work.

Lady Lyla by whalebot 2014-09-02T06:15:00

To those of you who have already played, I really appreciate the feedback. To be honest, I was kind of hoping no one would play it in its unfinished state :P . Oh well, it looks like I somehow managed to still convey the mood I was going for.

I have however uploaded a new post-comp. version of the game. It is in its full polished glory, and I feel pretty good about it :) I'd love it if you gave the new one a try.

Obviously, I'll keep the old one around for judging purposes, so please make sure my ratings reflect the original. Thanks!

P.S. There is a part past the night scene where the girl follows you. Hint: Look for a scenic place to stand with her.

Lady Lyla by whalebot 2014-09-10T01:25:00

@mystakin Yeah that was a testing key that I forgot to take out before submitting... I encourage you to give the post-comp version a try if you still enjoyed it.

AR Suit by ForeignGuyMike 2014-09-02T21:55:00

Mad props! This is probably the best Java entry I've seen in a Ludum Dare! Challenging but not impossible gameplay, and very well designed levels. Graphics and music were great! Nice work!

Connected Retro Worlds by yodamaster 2014-09-02T19:03:00

This is a fantastic interpretation of the theme! I didn't even realize that the three worlds were actually the same world (just at different levels of asteroid mediation) and when I realized that... well, mind=blown... Excellent graphics and all around a fantastic job with this!

In My Garden by MercuryLegba 2014-09-02T21:20:00

This was quite well done.

They Were Just Pixels by Ohems 2014-09-02T23:23:00

Excellent job conveying the mood you wanted. Had to read your description for the tie in of the theme. I suppose that works :) Good job!

Oathkeeper by MrCakehat 2014-09-09T22:32:00

I really liked the feel of this. I only wish it had some background music.

The Beginning by Nuclear Napalm 2014-09-02T19:15:00

Nice work with this. Great interpretation of the theme.

W4 by jpmit 2014-09-02T17:32:00

My poor brain and fingers hate each other now thanks to you. Nice game though ;)

Balance the Worlds by slowfrog 2014-09-10T22:55:00

It seemed like I only had to transfer fire to win the game. It would have been more interesting if I had to work harder to keep more of a balance. Nice work though!

Linking by handkor 2014-09-10T23:25:00

Haha the ending reminds me of how most of my games are. Nice work with this.

Elemental Connection by Rialgar 2014-09-02T18:12:00

Neat concept. Impressed you were able to create all those different styles so quickly!

Lang by erdnuss 2014-09-09T19:12:00

Wasn't quite sure what to do with combining the symbols, but it would be neat if you put together something a little more complete.

I tried to make a game similar to this a while back. You managed to do it for a ludum dare entry... sigh... -_- Nice work! Although, I really didn't see any connection with the theme other than the short blurb in the description...

Supreme Tower Racing by Rex Peppers 2014-09-02T21:03:00

Sometimes I wish I was better at platformers... nice work with this.

World Champions by kill0u 2014-09-06T00:07:00

I'm a bit ashamed to admit how much time I spent playing this...

Space Age by john111898 2014-09-04T17:01:00

Couldn't really navigate the menus effectively.

sflda by timotei 2014-09-02T20:46:00

Glad you participated! Hope you can pull something even better together next time!

Marble Run by Homletmoo 2014-09-02T23:32:00

I loved playing the real life version of this game, but that only had one ball... X( Nice work with this! It feels and looks really good!

Power the Planets by FrozenCow 2014-09-02T22:29:00

Nailed it with the literal interpretation of this theme! Nice work!

Extreme Inter-Dimensional Crate Pushing by The Tophat Demon 2014-09-09T21:55:00

A bit frustrating when you get the blocks stuck in a way you can't move them. Other than that, I feel this was done pretty well. Great music!

LD33 — You are the Monster

Royal Jelly Roller by BNeutral 2015-08-26T23:31:00

This is great! I only wish I could move a little quicker. Overall this is very polished and well put together.

Night of the Monster by Thinkofdeath 2015-08-24T20:52:00

Controls are a bit janky, but was still kind of fun wall jumping all over the place. Good job!

Escape From Twump Tower by 01010111 2015-08-25T05:11:00

Lol shots fired with this one haha. Great execution as usual, other than a few physics bugs with stacking boxes, this game was absolutely great.

Make Your Time by ken 2015-08-24T22:25:00

Haha, this is pretty similar to my interpretation of the theme :) I really like how the monsters and traps you choose show up in the hero's path. I only wish that I could have actually done the final fight myself! Great job!

Klonos by Azlen 2015-08-24T21:06:00

Love these PICO-8 games :) You people are doing really gool things with it. It would have been nice to have the ending tie in the dialogue given at the beginning about battling your inner demons, just to give some kind of resolution. Other than that great job!

Kerberos by lcarpentier 2015-08-24T21:49:00

I accidentally tried to go on the boat when it showed up, and I got stuck outside the level... Needless to say, I think the souls like me more than they should. Weeee!

Spooky Cuties by OnlySlightly 2015-08-26T05:32:00

Cute :) Although to be honest, I didn't see much tie in with the theme other than your picture as a ghost, but meh, it was still fun :)

Telifrenzy by NAL 2015-08-24T16:26:00

Nice work as usual NAL! Always have loved seeing the unique mechanics you come up with ever since the old GameMaker days. This one's a gem.

A Long Night by guoboism 2015-08-24T05:55:00

I like this a lot. Good use of theme and awesome style in that intro. I love the use of the text and environment to tell story. Audio was a bit meh, but you only have time for so much!

Dinosawr Roflstomp by theholychicken 2015-08-24T20:44:00

The tail whipping is awesome! Would have loved some sounds too. Good job!

The dumb Chicken by Rother Games 2015-08-24T05:22:00

haha what even is this? Very entertaining, but oh man the COOOLOOOORRRSSSS... :O

Delicious Cortex by deepnight 2015-08-24T04:35:00

My only complaint would be that the gameplay got a little slow sometimes with the speeds of the characters. Everything else was amazing. Great work!

Adula by conormn 2015-08-24T04:40:00

I would have loved this to branch more than it did. That being said, awesome style, and good work.

The Monster Within by Cheetoturkey 2015-08-24T06:06:00

Black screen and epic music. That's all I have right now after the unity loading screen.

Monsterhythm by danialias 2015-08-26T04:31:00

Jeez... I don't have the patience for this kind of game haha. That being said, nice work with it. I love the pico-8 games :)

A Heart between Parts by LeafThief 2015-08-24T20:25:00

Inventory selection was a bit janky for some reason, but the art is gorgeous, and I liked some of the free verse poetry happening in the dialogue.

The Monster Inside by xWarZonex 2015-08-24T20:39:00

Nice concept. It got very difficult to grab light pieces when raging since I'd land on a corner, but overall this is pretty good.

Internship Adventure by dancingmad 2015-09-10T17:37:00

This is an absolutely stellar entry. Well freaking done.

Ancient Storm: Legends of the League of Defence Heroes 2 by 3CGames 2015-08-24T18:10:00

The chat text was awesome haha. Unfortunately, I felt like I had very little control over the outcome of the battle, but maybe that's the feel you were going for (being a measly pawn). Good job!

Loch Ness by filiph 2015-08-24T06:28:00

A pretty interesting system. I decided to get riskier towards the end to see if I could completely take over, and I died :/ Nice work.

Kaiju Boxing - a game in Twitch chat by NickFrushour 2015-08-24T06:11:00

This is pretty sweet. It would be interesting to see the chat take sides. When I played everyone ganged up against the one monster :D

ManyCrypt by SkullPixel 2015-08-24T22:16:00

I really liked the concept of this one, but I couldn't figure out how to change to more powerful monsters? I just killed all the players as a blob!

The Beast Is Within You by mickanio 2015-08-26T04:28:00

This is a fantastic entry. It's one of those games that speaks to a deeper problem and lets people experience a side of life they wouldn't normally experience. And screw that get away driver... he didn't help even once...

Crazy Alien by approxx 2015-08-24T21:36:00

This is pretty good for a first entry! I hope to see more from you in future game jams!

Jamess Adventure? by NSoul 2015-08-24T22:33:00

Haha this was ridiculous! I love the jumping around, even as janky as it is. Definitely difficult, but I thought the story was hilarious!

Monsters In The Dark (Bugged) by markoburzan27 2015-08-24T22:04:00

The control setup was a bit weird, and the music loop was reeeally short which made it a bit annoying. Not sure what the objective was, and the menu didn't show any text?

Misunderstanding by HACKhalo2 2015-08-24T18:48:00

Stupid crazy parents... Good job!

Mangiato by Acerio 2015-08-24T05:32:00

Holy meatball maneuvers batman. That was some punishingly tricky platforming. Took me a bit to figure out I could wall jump. Instead I would try and clip my head in the wall to get another double jump :D

David Bartholomew by bartholomewdavid 2015-08-24T05:13:00

I am one of the few to figure out how to download, set up, and run your game ;) It's cute, and pretty fun to level a building with lizard-fu. Nice work!

Ludum Dare 33: Monster by Valicitor 2015-08-24T18:01:00

Not bad. I really like the style. It didn't seem like there was anything to accomplish other than just surviving which was relatively trivial. All in all, good entry.

Minion, I have to take a leak. by fistmaker 2015-08-24T21:56:00

Not bad. It would be nice to be able to move through your own fire columns to collect the souls it destroyed, but overall, I enjoyed it.

Abduction by SudoDave 2015-08-24T20:07:00

This is great! I wish there was some audio to really fill it out, but overall very fun and challenging gameplay!

The Last Demon by 9.ar7k 2015-08-24T21:45:00

I dig the art style. Attacking things didn't seem to work too well for me with the first attack, but I like the recharge on the attacks.

CYCLE by Dianouille 2015-08-24T18:22:00

The game is beautiful and very interesting. Unfortunately, I see almost no tie-in with the theme :( Regardless, good work with this!

Cutesy destroyer of worlds by Graham Weldon 2015-08-24T06:20:00

Haha I love the "juicer" effect when I squash all those poor people :D Wish it had audio, but I enjoyed it!

Sea Monster by flokitall 2015-08-24T22:19:00

It definitely seems odd that when you get hit by a mine, your score resets, but the difficulty stays the same compared to the beginning... Other than that, it's a fun little game.

St. George's Academy for Monster-Slaying Lasses by AlariSilver 2015-08-24T18:38:00

Nice game! I don't know that I've ever seen a visual novel with battle mechanics in it.

Destroy The Love by Madsj 2015-08-24T05:44:00

I actually really like the mechanic behind this game, although I think more could be done to make it "feel" better. Other than the theme tie-in being a little forced, I thought this was pretty solid. Nice work!

CEO by Skoggy 2015-08-24T17:28:00

Man I loved all the exploding items, especially the gas tanks that whizzed around. Awesome entry!

Collateral by mklee 2015-08-24T04:57:00

I really like the health of the monster being shown as the segments. It has the side effect of making the game a tiny bit easier as you die :) Great job! My only criticism would be to start the game with a keypress rather than a mouse click since the gameplay is only key presses.

Drain by aeveis 2015-09-12T19:32:00

This was great. Well done coming up with a clever puzzle for this jam! I *think* that it was possible to get through each level without making birds cry which was super interesting...
