The graphics could use work, and it was kinda stressful, like when you would drown in Sonic (stress wise)
But the theme is cliche like a lot of the other entries, which gave that a 5/5.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → LD33 → A Long Night

I love the ambiance, great job! I like the simple graphic style, and the intro is great!
Very creative and fun 5/5.
Man, the art style and presentation were phenomenal, especially given the time constraint. Amazing work!
It's rare to ever see a game as well done as this in the Ludum Dare. To be honest the coolest part of the game was the amazing title sequence. I loved the stress of game and the required strategy.
No way to play on Mac :/
I like this a lot. Good use of theme and awesome style in that intro. I love the use of the text and environment to tell story. Audio was a bit meh, but you only have time for so much!
Love the style and the intro. the puzzle feel was fun too. would love to play this with a larger map.
Loved the presentation at the beginning, and the gameplay was pretty interesting. Good job!
I quite liked the minimalistic graphics. And the intro was quite cool too! nice idea for the actual game. well done!
Fantastic storytelling, solid game, overall a great package!
Really impressed this was done in 48 hours, given all fleshed out the experience is, the amount of subtle story devices, and the stability of the gameplay (shifting its weight compelling between action and strategic elements).
Great work!
got my heart racing a little ;) and it is a lot more polished than most other games. Overall I thought it was quite impressive that you pulled this off in 48 hours. (especially with that opening animation)
Good job!
Very well polished game for 48 hours, big congratulations
Nice original art style!
Simple but nice looking graphics. Easy gameplay. Good story at the start!
wow, very cinematic! great graphics and great mood (though it would maybe benefit from some creepy music, but I'm impressed with how much you achieved in the time)
it's a little easy to click fast and outspeed the police, maybe it would be better if it was turn based or there was a short time limit on how often you can click? great game though, well done
I see a lot of things are done with great amount of care in this game, (that too with the given limited amount of time)
1. The smoothness in the transition of the scenes.
2. The way the story is told - instead of filling up a scene with lines of story just to give the player a brief intro (which I want to skip anyway), this tells the story while playing the game, which is awesome.
3. The cool intro in the first scene.
4. Magnifying on the last person killed smoothly
5. Awesome stealth type game (how many stealth indie games do you see in game jams )
Very very well done, Congrats ! :)
Very well done! I enjoyed playing it :)
Great game. I really liked the visual style and the plot. It really nails the theme.
Really nice intro !
Very cool introduction / presentation, creative gameplay, good sound FX. Loved it that you don t see the monster.
One of the best I played so far.
Fun!
Animations are impressive!
I loved it! Would have been awesome if it had some music.
i enjoyed the intro and it had atmosphere. the graphics and animation were pretty simple, but i see the level design was very thoughtful and well made. it was adictive to play it
Really nice title sequence and a great little game
I really liked the gameplay. It kind of reminded me of the old game "Oil's Well."
The intro was also very cool, but I kept wondering if I was supposed to be controlling something. I thought it was just an intro, but I wasn't sure. Also it would be nice to have a button that you could just hold to retract your arm, rather than having to repeatedly hit the arrow keys in the reverse order.
Very fun game. I definitely enjoyed it.
Stable and well-executed. I liked the title sequence but IMO it was a bit long... Great job!
I like the minimalist graphics, very good mechanic.
Really loved the presentation and the twist in it. Good graphics. Nice entry.
I really liked the strategy here. First I tried just waiting for them when hiding but then realized the tentacle goes as far as I want. Very cool mechanic. Played it through and enjoyed a lot!
Absolutely great job! Really enjoyed the game! The intro, the art, the idea, all of it was solid. The tentacle sound effect was slightly annoying, but other than that amazing job in 2-3 days!
I like the way that you took for this game. I loved the cut scene at the beginning of the game because it really pulled me into the experience. I kind of wish there was an ending at the end, but hey I know how time it must have taken to make the first one so I don't mind much. Loved the gameplay, it was a really cool to mixture of both puzzle and stealth. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to pick apples from trees with my tentacles.
Impressive 48 hours solo work ! Loved the artstyle and the presentation in general, I had a lot of fun playing it. The storytelling was also a good surprise, so it's a great and memorable entry overall. Keep it up, dude !
Wow. How do you even manage to do this in 48 hours?
Really cool intro! gameplay and graphics are good too. i didnt realise you could stretch your arm at first.
Wow dude - this is my favorite game I've played so far (out of lots!). If you added some music and polished this, I would pay money for this. I loved the opening sequence. I would like a feature where I can press and hold space bar to quickly retract the arm. Absolutely top notch!
Great mechanic! It's loads of fun as a puzzle, I suggest expanding on this.
Really good gameplay. Felt smooth, though I feel it was to strategy based to make a real-time game out of it.. maybe it's just me, though.
I liked that for some of the puzzles, there was more than one solution.
I could see this as a mobile game, using swipes instead of arrow keys. Give it a try, see how it feels.
Well done!
Very nice graphics and funny game : )
Very nice gameplay!
It have a nice ambient and good puzzle scheming. The graphics are simple but effective on the game. And it's fun.
It doesn't have music, but the correct one could be wonderful.
Overall, the game passes.
Very nice concept and gameplay! The minimalist intro is awesome. Keep working!
5 strars for that intro! very well done! i bet you are an animator! :p and a good one! very cool mechanic for the gameplay. Would liked to hear some more sounds to create a stronger/creepier mood, but overall this is a very good entry game!
GJ!
Graphics look very cheap at the first sight but the intro cinematic is just great and really highlight them.
Nice entry.
Great style. Loved the intro.
I liked the game overall, but the audio was a bit weak. Some music would add to the mood of it quite a lot.
Really cool grid based puzzle game :) A little bit easy to finish on the first try. But a good concept and well executed. Looks like you spent just as much time on the intro sequence as the game itself!
It's a very good game, creative and nice implementation of theme. Graphics could use a little tweaking, I found myself sometimes lost, but greatly done tho'
Overall an alright game, with nice ambiance, the intro was awesome.
Simple but great looking graphics. Intro sequence was really cool! How did you do this solo in 48 hours? Great work!
Good game! I liked the art and the theme
I really like the style you've got going on with that opening cinematic. It works really well. Clever gameplay too.
solid entry~~
genius narration/ambient
also fun enough!(Especially the final level very amazing~erverything fixes a lattice forever in that a moment...love meet or peace...)
this style is really valuable, ☆゚I enjoyed playing it
I really enjoyed the game! Graphics were nice -- I liked how the text tied in with the scene in the introduction. Good job!
