Slender Man The Demented Demon by Divitos 2012-12-17T04:51:00
I know, but I don't know why, honestly.

I know, but I don't know why, honestly.
Because of you quoting the whole thing, I don't know if you meant the original children idea, which was stupid, or the adults, which is much better, and if you think any different, you don;t have a heart.
I like the narrator, and the controls feels precise, but you feel a little too sluggish when in-air.
This game's amazing!
This is weird.
I like weird.
I'm having a problem running too.
Love the idea!
A bit confusing, but fun once you've gotten the hang of it!
Really clever idea, and amazing minigames!
One of my favorites, so far.
Challenging, but not punishing.
Very well done!
The game file is literally empty for me...
Kept crashing for me.
By far one of the more creative entires!
I love how you implemented the single screen into it!
This game was oddly charming.
I loved it!
Very interesting concept!
Compressed zip is corrupted. :c
Redownloading didn't help.
Very interesting concept and interesting implementation!
Wow!
I loved the light effects
Interesting multiplayer.
Graphics are good, and so are the concept, but the randomness needs to have some tighter restrictions so it's more fair. Sometimes it's just flat out impossible.
Amazing!
I love the frantic aspect of the game trying to go faster without trading speed for accuracy!
Extremely addicting!
I absolutely love the change of graphics, as well as the audio!
Very hard game, but it's oddly addicting.
I couldn't kill the big guy. x.x
Time and time again you've been my favorite submitter!
Good game, good graphics.
I loved the music and sfx!
Couldn't run! D:
This is, um, interesting.
I love abstract games like this,
Minimal, yet amazing.
I really like the platforming aspect.
I love the puzzle aspect to it, and the cat is 110% adorable!
Interesting concept and interesting application.
Very interesting game, though the lack of audio makes it feel kind of empty.
I love it!
One recommendation is a little more manual control on when the repairs need to happen. sometimes it feels frantic, other times it's playing the waiting game.
There needs to be some more random aspects to it.
Very well done!
Mildly addictive
I agree with sam, crazy fun!
Very interesting nod to Papers, Please!
I think you should make this into a full game!
Very interesting concept!
Same problem running on 32 bit. v.v
Incredibly interesting game!
It's not often you see multiplayer in Ludum Dare.
Interesting game overall, but the having to use mouse to keyboard transition at the beginning feels a little rough,
I never found much purpose for the shield, and the A.I was easily exploitable. It shows potential, though.
Interesting game!
I got stuck on the points initially, but eventually figured it out.
Progression was a little slow, the sound eventually got annoying, the game seemed a little unoptimized, and the towers could really use some path prediction for firing.
I liked it, though, it showed a lot of potential.
I get what the waiting time at the begining was to simulate, but it bugged me so much. xD
Funny game, though,
Interesting concept, should possibly be pursued further.
Interesting game, but it'd be better if the chopper was a little more responsive.
Interesting concept, you should consider working on it post-compo!
This game closes the second I open it. D:
Good game, good concept.
The game could use a little path finding in it, though.
Often the enemies would get stuck on a wall and allow me to endlessly shoot them.
I think you should work on this for a post compo version!
Very interesting idea, though the collision seems a little wonky.
I like how you implemented the turn based combat system into a platformer.
Just a tip, it's usually better to compile as a single run-time executable. People generally frown upon installers.
Restarting should also clear the screen sometimes, it'd get a little crowded.
It was a pretty interesting concept, it has potential!
Pretty fun game.
I got stuck in the top dodging, though.
My high score was 96.
Set up a game with a friend of mine using teamviwer, we had lots of fun!
I think you should continue on this!
I love top-down based games, and the real time frantic aspect fits amazingly!
Avast wouldn't let me play.
Well played!
Very challenging, but fun non-the-less!
AI didn't seem aggressive enough.
Amazing graphics, and great sounds!
I love how you implemented and idle game esque aspect into this!
This game is amazing!
How you managed to accomplish something like this in 48 hours is beyond me.
I really like the game.
It's a great attempt for a first game!
The controls need to be a little more responsive and seamless, though.
Not sure if it's intentional, but the game was rapidly blinking for me and it made it hard to play.
I love TDS's!
This is a mildly addictive game. :P
I already love what you've done here, I'd carry on!
This is amazing!
You better be making a full version!
Neat mechanic!
Some people on the site has reservations against .rar files, so you might want to consider adding in a .zip.
This game was quite interesting, albeit a bit abstract.
Neat background.
The enemy back and forth motion was hard to get used to, at first.
I really like what you did with the theme!
The game could use some ambient sounds, though.
The maze also felt a little bit linear, which isn't at all a bad thing. I think it would actually get quite tedious if it was more, mazey.
Reminds me a bit of "This War of Mine".
Absolutely loved it.
I'd love to see a post compo version of this.
Very interesting puzzle game!
Interesting game.
It's a little tough, but that's what makes it so fun!
"This accounts public links are generating too much traffic and have temporarily been disabled!"
I like it, but it's a little tough to control.
Very interesting!
It's not often you see a text based adventure for Ludum Dare that isn't made with Twine.
Had to download the files and compile it myself, but aside from that, it was a really great game!
Was this really your first attempt? o.O
Absolutely loved it!
I think you should work on a post-compo version of it.
Absolutely loved it!
I think you should work on a post-compo version of it.
Simple game, great graphics and effects.
Quite addicting. :P
The platforming feels a little slow, but other than that, amazing!
I really love the block shifting effect.
Good game, but a little bit a confusing.
I did a game with the same premise for look what I made weekend. :P
The enemy curve provides just enough time for users to learn and master the controls, and then instantly put that mastery to the test!
Amazing for a first attempt!
One pet peeve of mine, A and D could be used for movement, but S couldn't be used for interactions, I had to actually use the down key.
that was interesting, but a bit confusing. Got a couple crashes but it was fine with a reload.
I loved it!
It's extremely addictive!
I loved the actual gameplay! A little difficult, but not punishing.
The extra story was a nice touch, too.
Lol, I loved the story based gameplay!
If you're making this into a full game, branching conversations might be a nice addition.
Just.
Wow.
That was stunning.
Interesting concept, and fun gameplay.
I loved the graphics, and the difficulty curve was perfect!
Error
resources.lua:70: Cannot create canvas
I think you should work on a post-compo version of this!
Neat game!
Links broke. :\
If you play the game, please take a couple minutes to vote on rather or not we should work on a post compo version!

I lowered the volume of the sounds in-game, thank you for the feedback!
What flying saucer? c;
This game was absolutely amazing and you did a great job pushing the boundaries of what's possible in a game jam game.
Why the Mosaic though? D:
I'm going to spend all day looking for my game in it, there goes my productivity.
Very good game!
This game is absolutely amazing!
The graphics and look of the game were very amazing but it was a little boring since it seemed like the enemies could never really kill you.
Lol, very interesting interpretation.
I feel like commenting on the game would be irrelevant, but at the same time I have to say that mo matter what happens to you and no matter what kind of shit people give you, just keep strong and be yourself because that's all that matters. If a bunch of people want to conform to some fake standard of normal that's their problem, don't let their ridicule of your non conformance get to you.
This was pretty impressive!
I was especially impressed by the depth of the story and the amount of content!
Wow. How do you even manage to do this in 48 hours?
Every single Ludum Dare I have to come check out what you did because I know it'll be awesome. This entry is no exception, and is just as amazing as I figured it would be.
Very quirky game
This was amazing! :o
You should definitely continue on with this.
Overall a very amazing game!
Over all an amazing entry. I'm not a terribly huge fan of text adventure games usually, but the story in this one truly did grasp me and keep me immersed.
Very charming
Very good idea, and very good execution, all topped off with a pretty paint of polish.
Fun game!
That was.
Well.
That was......
How?
I went into friend village trying to make some friends, but they got scared of me, so I tore their entire village to the ground.
Then I tore the next one down, and the next, and I taught them to never refuse my friendship again.
I loved the games graphics, as well as the idea of it, but the progression seemed painfully slow.
Also not too sure what the game has to do with the theme, but regardless it was a very unique experience!
This is my favorite game I've seen out of the entire compo this time!
It's a little odd how you can use A and D to move, but not W to jump.
Very fun game!
I really loved the bullet mechanic! It was unique and fun to play around with.
This was a surprisingly polished entry. Congrats on that for sure. As for the gameplay I really liked it, but it did seem to get a little monotonous after a while, though I never found it effected my experience that much because the concept behind the game kept me hooked.
Overall a very good entry!
Very good for your first game!
Very fun game! I love the overall atmosphere, and especially love the art style.
Fun little game!
Took me a bit to get it running on my computer, but that's to be expected when running on as junky of a pc as mine. >.>
Once I got it working the game was extremely fun, and the graphics were absolutely amazing. I see a lot of potential in this!
Very fun game!
Lel^
I caught that bug in the last 10 minutes or so before submission hour and couldn't figure out what was causing it lol. I'm poking around in the code a little right now to make an improved version for gamejolt and itch.io and to be honest I still have no idea what's causing that. o.O
I can't comment on how the controls feel when using a controller (which I'm sure is what it was mainly designed for), but the keyboard controls feel a bit off. I think the biggest problem was the slow turning in comparison to the fast movement rate and pace of the game. The gameplay itself though is really fun. I found myself playing this one for a good bit longer than I'd play other arcade style games.
Fun game, and a unique take on the theme.
This is definitely one of my favorite takes on the theme I've found so far.
Good game and good take on the theme. I never figured out how to use the left ability (which as far as I can tell was only needed once in game, but was able to be skipped by tapping up as fast as possible to keep climbing).
I like the game.
It was a little hard to remember the controls at first, but that's because my mind was trying to relate it to xbox controller colors (which it was close to with just the red and yellow being switched). After I got used to it though, I played it for quite a bit.
Overall, this is an amazing entry. Wide variety of animals, abilities, and bosses makes it feel like a game that someone could spend a long time trying to master. Great idea, great execution, and great art.
That being said, there is a few flaws to mention that made it harder to enjoy the experience. The biggest was the controls. They felt clunky and a frustrating at times and often it seemed like it was the control scheme causing me to do something I didn't intend to and end up tearing that fight down. After a bit of adjusting, I managed to get used to the controls and found lots of depth hidden behind them.
Nice and simple concept for a game. It seems like the kind of thing you could get a big playerbase for if it was a mobile game. I enjoyed watching my pet grow and adventuring with them.
My mind was blown when I realized that there was different evolution lines you could go down.
Great entry. :)
I loved the art!
The game was made a bit hard at times because of the controls, but overall it was still fun.
I wasn't sure that anything unique was going to come from this theme, and so far I haven't really found much, but this is amazing and truly innovative.
Very fun game. The mechanics remind me of Snakebird, but with a focus on skill instead of puzzles.
Good job, I enjoyed it.
Keep up the game dev.
