This is one of the most fun entries I've played yet. Awesome job!

This is one of the most fun entries I've played yet. Awesome job!
I liked the sound effects for combat, and the background music sets the mood. The second screen was already too hard for me though...
Nice game! I wish there were upgrades or different types of enemies!
Bahaahah that was pretty amusing. Good work!
Why is the guy throwing black squares at me? :O
That first pit is hard to get past...
The collision effect is a nice touch!
Pretty nice. I bluescreened after a while though...
Bahahahah.
Nice game concept! I wish it came with music and an upgrade system. I like the sfx.
Mice are stupid and don't know how to walk to safety and instead get lost off the bottom of the screen. Nice little game though! :D
Not bad for a first entry!
Bahahah the idea behind this game is pretty amusing! I enjoyed it.
Thanks for the feedback! I haven't learned how to make menus or a separate screen yet, so I didn't put in a win/lose condition...
I'll work on making my future games much more game-like! :D
Thanks for the comments and feedback! For another entry with awesome music, check out Ripple Runner by DDRKirby(ISQ)!
It felt like the story needed more branches to me, but otherwise interesting.
Simple, but pretty fun. Nice sfx and music, too!
Game is interesting, but I don't like the worm noise. :P
Music is pretty chill, and gameplay is interesting!
Odd game, I couldn't figure out how to fire the second weapon, maybe it failed?
Pretty neat game! My only complaint is about the "you're doing something wrong" sound that plays when I click something I'm not allowed to click (like a greyed out planet or the burn button when my engine settings reset).
Thanks for all the feedback! Sorry for forgetting to include a link to the source code - I think I put the correct link to the dropbox now...
Been really busy recently, still have to finish rating games.
I have lots of ideas for some sort of post-compo version, but it will be a while before I finish learning what I need to know to write it. Maybe next compo I'll be able to write a complete game with a win condition rather than just cool game mechanics and music...
It's pretty hard hard to get past the first screen... and then the second screen bugged out and scrolled far past my character and I ended up dying. Pretty frustrating...
I like the hand-drawn art, but it's hard to figure out what to do in the very beginning.
My first game started on a planet with nothing nearby. Not knowing how to zoom out yet... I just jumped off into space and died at the edge of the screen.
The music was pretty decent. I liked the overall concept, but couldn't figure out how to get more money so I can upgrade my ship.
Great music, and interesting concept. Jumping next to a wall was a little bit frustrating, since it stops all of my momentum sometimes. It also was hard to tell what blocks I could stand on and what I couldn't, but I guess that's part of the artistic value of the game.
Web link usually should mean it is playable from within the browser. The game itself seems pretty complete, only problem I have is that some of the 3-star times seem near impossible.
I wasn't sure if the game ended when I reached the 2nd level of the bridge...
I expected more realistic gravitation when it said "physics-based", but not bad. Reminds me of Gravitee Wars without the cool projectile equations.
lolwat
It doesn't seem like I can lose, and I wish I could stop moving. Not bad though.
This was pretty clever. I got drunk early.
Pretty neat concept! I imagine peaceful piano music being played along with a game like this. Also took me a while to figure out that I needed to mess up to spawn the 2nd world.
Music is decent, and I like the visuals! Pretty good game overall.
Didn't really feel like a game to me...
Wahahahahh this is the best!
I can't tell if I won or lost. Music was pretty nice!
I couldn't tell if this was supposed to have sound, but it is interesting.
Interesting, but a little repetitive.
This is pretty nice! I think the upgrades could have more balance though, the slime and friend were not very good, but the turrets are great!
Would have been nice if there were indicators for which powerups you picked up, but this is REALLY fun!
The music is pretty fitting, and the sfx went pretty well with the game! I liked that you get three different attacks!
I like the art! And your hitboxes work well, unlike the ones in my game. :P
This was a bit repetitive, but interesting concept.
I couldn't quite figure out what the trash can was supposed to do - I doubleclicked it and got swarmed.
I liked the music! The guy's "I got hit" sound effect is kinda funny. I also couldn't figure out why the cracked rocks were hurting me...?
The screen swap effect and sound is still awesome every time. Music is amazing, as expected. :)
I liked the intro video lol
The rap sounds pretty legit, but needs a better backbeat. :P
It was hard to tell what items I picked up at times. Funny game though! :D
Jumping was a little awkward, but this was pretty neat.
I hope you plan to add music and sfx! The graphics and controls seem to work.
Hahahah interesting. I actually like the overall feel of the game! Attacking seems kind of inconsistent, I can't figure out why I'm dealing "NULL" damage a lot.
Thanks for the comments! Song is now available on my soundcloud! (although a bit late..)
https://soundcloud.com/acuitynpc/airhornmonster
LOL I like the humor in this!
It's a little hard to tell where I'm supposed to land when I roll a number.
The targeting system is neat, and I liked the 8-bit art.
The game would be more satisfying if there was sound when I crush buildings. Also, the tree regen takes a little too long.
Interesting game. I couldn't quite understand what some of the requests were ("set Stephen on fire?"), but I like the mechanics. The music was pretty good, too.
Hrmm... the shark moves a little too fast, and there are still some graphical errors. Good job on making a tutorial sequence and menu though - that's something I need to start doing in my entries...
Amazing, as expected.
I found this really interesting! Also cool that you can hear the next players' knocks after you die.
360 No Scope Kissing Simulator 10/10.
That was pretty cool. I couldn't figure out what the powerups did until later - would be nice to have a small explanation pop up for each one.
Dividends seem OP... I was making around $150k a week off of one successful company.
I liked the concept, although it took me a while to figure out what I needed to do.
Definitely fits both themes, simple but clean game. I wish there was music with it!
Pretty neat idea! The gameplay was a bit slow due to having to switch back and forth so often, but I like the concept!
Took a while for me to figure out which gun to use... Been too long since I've done linear algebra.
Thanks for all the feedback, everyone!
When I have time, I'll have to polish some of this a bit. I also want to do a little bit more with the "enemy", and attempt to add a tutorial for a post-compo version.
It was a little hard to figure out how to progress, and the sound effects scared me a bit.
Not bad, sound effects are crisp.
I expected music to go with the song with the description, but this seems kinda cool.
The island growing sound was a little loud, but neat concept. Kind of frustrating to do the jumps sometimes though..
That was pretty cool - kinda hard though.
Hahah nice! The car chase while sneaking minigame is a bit hard...
Definitely fit's the theme. The red buff seems overpowered, and can reset the game back to the start state.
Pretty interesting, but I had trouble launching it at first..
Wahah not bad. Some next level strats are possible to put multiple traps down close together..
Hahahah the graphics are absurd in a really funny way. I couldn't quite figure out an objective though.
YES the voice acting!!!!
This is a really cool concept! It's hard for me to control the dragon the way I want it to though - I think my head wants to operate in tangential coordinates instead of absolute (as in W always moves forwards and A and D would "turn")
This was a really cool puzzle concept! I liked the different mechanics that were put in.
My screen turned white at the end, I think that might mean I beat the game? Overall really good!
Okay, this was a REALLY cool entry. And the tutorial flowed pretty well, too!
Interesting! Somehow most of the sheep spawned in the last shape (Triangle) and I got it in 4 seconds...
Kinda neat concept, but it took me a while to figure out what everything did.
The scaling on the prices makes it much more economical to just spambuy the clegger. I think what you needed to make the decision more interesting is to make the price increase as you buy more of one thing.
I really liked how the music and the setting fit together! My favorite song is the one in the area where you get the spring form. I only got 40/51, and then found the end of the game (maybe I should've backtracked before going through the final door area
?) Good stuff!
Got 51/51! Pressing Enter at the end of the game does new game+, so you can go back and collect everything else!
Pretty interesting game. Took me a while to get a good grasp on the objective, but the tutorial sure helped! Nice to see another card game!
I also only got to play with two players, I think my main complaint is that the "throw" feels a lot more like you're just dropping the bomb. If you run in one direction and throw the bomb, you end up blowing yourself up...
The game itself is fun though, I think if the throw went a bit further and didn't rely on your running momentum, it could make the gameplay a bit more exciting!
The music loop is a little too short and feels repetitive really quickly. I think it's an interesting concept, but it's hard to tell what each of the resources does right off the bat (it seems like light increases happiness, and trees increase oxygen?) I couldn't figure out what the thing next to the tree does, and sometimes removing trees makes happiness go up? It's nice that you have a tutorial at the beginning, but I think it would help more if you explained what each of the resources were, too.
Good concept though!
Hrm, pretty interesting concept! It took me a while to figure out what it meant by "build and antibody," it didn't occur to me to look along the side to see what it meant! After understanding how the game worked, I tried again and made it to the 4th stage, but lost really quickly on that one. The game itself is pretty fun! I would suggest maybe a less clunky way of picking up parts of antibodies that aren't shooting at anything, but maybe that's part of the challenge. Overall interesting game!
I died by crashing into a planet during the tutorial before learning that I need to press space again to "latch back on". The game seems simple but okay - I wish the orbital mechanics were more complicated than just going in a circle, even if you're going head on into the planet. Also, it sucks that I can get hit by my own laser! D:
Pretty fun game - reminds me of Overcooked a lot! It kind of fits the theme, and the small floating island with trees makes it fit a bit better. Your music is awesome as always!
It's really hard to tell where the projectiles are going to go - maybe I'm not accounting for some of the other objects with mass very well. It also feels like there's a lack of control because you can't choose where you shoot from, and you have to wait to slowly revolve around your planet until the right angle - it would be nice if you could control where you are with the left and right arrow keys.
Still decently fun to play!
This was interesting, but I couldn't find any vittles for the NPCs that I found. The world also was really big, and it was hard to keep track of where things were! The music was cool though, and I liked the sound effects when you talked to things. It also was frustratingly hard to talk to the NPC - they move away so fast, and sometimes you're not facing the right way either! The game looks pretty cool, but I couldn't figure out how to progress. :(
I really like the night music! This kind of game is fun, although I couldn't figure out what the buildings did (only found out after reading other comments). It would be nice to have a sound effect when you get hit by the enemy at night though - it took me a bit to realize I was taking damage! It also took me a while to figure out how building placement works - it'd be nice to have a little indicator of what you're gonna build and how big it'll be after you pick it, and whether or not it'll fit with the other stuff around, maybe like building in RTS games.
Still, solid entry! I played this for quite a while!
Any chance you could also rate my game? It's a difficult (in a bad way, I need to put in checkpoints) platformer with decent music! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/spike-spire
Hahahah this is awesome! I really like the world being tied in to how the ball is behaving. It's pretty hard to score though - I played this with a friend and had a blast!
Hrmm... it's a little hard to figure out where to go to progress. The first few times I played, I would encounter some really hard enemy that I would have no chance to kill and just die. One time, I got kinda far on the ranged attack with movespeed passive character, and found a human house and destroyed it, and then I found another one, but couldn't kill the humans fast enough (they kept spawning) and then something reverted me back to level 1 and I died. The gameplay mechanics seem to make sense, but combat seems pretty difficult and I don't know how to destroy houses if there are too many humans.
I like your music a lot! (Shameless plug, please check out and rate [my game] (https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/spike-spire), I made the music myself too!)
This is pretty neat! There are so many different keys to try, I had a lot of fun playing around with it.
Man, this was pretty fun. The jump is a little wonky, and it's hard to tell where you're going to respawn after dying, but it was pretty fun to play though!
My friend DDRKirby(ISQ) found some exploitable strategies! The player controlling the box can turn it in a way such that everything is off camera! It also is possible to get everything stuck in one corner, making it almost impossible to get the globe.
Overall REALLY fun game though!
This is pretty cool! But I got stuck at the point where the tutorial told me to remove an alien, I couldn't figure out which building to build, so I built ones that had alien in the name, but the tutorial got stuck from there. I also ran out of trees because I never built a forest cutter...
Very neat concept though, I think I would enjoy playing it more if it were easier to tell what resources I had and what the resource cost for everything is! The font was a little too small and hard to read.
Thanks for all the comments so far!
As suggested by many of you, adding a checkpoint would definitely improve the difficulty and reduce frustration, I still haven't found the time to figure out the code for that (have to save coordinates to respawn the player at the right location, and remove and make a new player object I think?). I definitely will try to figure this out because I'll need checkpoints if I want to make a longer platformer like this.
And yea, @antti-haavikko the jump is a little bit floaty and the spikes are just square hitboxes (which might be why it feels so punishing). I'll have to think about how to change around parameters next time to make things still work out and feel smoother.
Thanks for the platformer guide, @icxon! I'll definitely draw some stuff from this when I make tweaks and upgrades. And thanks for all the comments, everyone! I'll definitely have to plan a less frustrating and more fun game next time!
Thanks for the comments and ratings, everybody!
@sgstair Whoa, thanks for streaming! I didn't realize how hard some of the jumps are since I've played each one many times to test - definitely good insight for me to see your stream!
@random-storykeeper Oh yea, I remember you from the last few OHCs I participated in! I haven't been able to participate in quite a while, but maybe I can pop in again sometime. Yea, my game definitely could use checkpoints (that's the next thing I'm going to figure out when I add to this), and I think the metre in the music is something like 3 3 2 in a measure, which is pretty much like 3 followed by 5 like you said. And huh, I didn't realize the death sound was that loud, I'll have to scale it down in the future! And yea, the controls are a bit sensitive, and the spikes are unforgiving, I'll have to tone it down! Thanks for commenting!
Oops, I triple posted... I don't know how to delete this! D:
I guess I might as well use this blank post to mention - if you want the music, it's available for download here: https://soundcloud.com/acuitynpc/spikespire
Hrm... both the itch.io link and dropbox link are broken for me right now :\
This was a really interesting game! It's a little bit hard to figure out how things worked until mid game. The camera view is also a bit difficult - the game would be much easier to play if it was just flat instead of a globe, but that makes it fit the theme, I guess.
It's really interesting thinking about where you want to put cities and bases in order to exploit tiles, and take an area for yourself.
The blind combat mechanic is cool, but if the game is not at point where you don't have 2 tanks per turn, the attacker gets an overwhelming advantage.
(Also my friend broke that and somehow entered a number over the number of tanks he had, his post is soon).
Pretty neat tool! I ended up with my animal eating the tree, and producing smoke clouds from it!
Draw a scene.png
This is fun!
Hmm, this seems really neat, but I can't quite figure out how the mechanics work. Holding shift spawns the ghost cat, and then it starts floating upwards to the top of the screen after a while? And then I can just walk through the broken hearts with the ghost cat and get to the door? I'm still a little confused. I really like the art style for the game though! It might be good to have a bit of clarification on how the mechanics and controls are meant to work.
This is pretty cool! The upgrade system is neat, and I like the music that it has, although it doesn't seem to loop.
Please rate my game, too! I'm barely under 20 ratings still! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/38/spike-spire
Really creative concept! I love the mechanic! The problem I have is that I can't figure out how to beat the game. I collected all the chest things, and I can shoot green squares, but there's no end even when you reach the lock on the bottom floor. It'd be cool to see where this goes in the future though!
This is really well made! I did find a bug on the third level though - you can get stuck in between the spikes like in the screenshot! I ended up having to close the game to restart. The level design and art is nice, and I liked that there was a tutorial.
Glitched into the wall.png
Whoa, really cool! I couldn't quite figure out how to get out at the end though, maybe I need to try a few different things...
I just barely made it to where the rooms started rotating and lost everything! It's a decent design and could be a great rhythm game if there was more music. The indicator arrows are nice to orient yourself on the controls early on.
Oh man, this was pretty fun! The intro video is hype!
I dueled my friend for a few games, and we had to figure out what the powerups actually did. The jump is a little bit slow and hard to dodge bullets with, it could use a bit of work.
One neat thing you could add is bullet holes for the guy that won equal to how many times they got hit (kind of like a "this is the state of the game at the end" kind of thing).
Overall, I had a good time playing this!
This was pretty fun, I liked the shield mechanic and the ricocheting bullets! But yea, like other people have mentioned, it's hard to see what's going on because the camera doesn't turn when you turn around, it's hard to see what you're trying to shoot at if they're coming from the other side of the screen.
This is a pretty interesting concept, but the game is really difficult! I got as far as the "extreme" level, but it's a little too difficult. The first level itself took a long time for me to get.
Pretty cool concept! I can't play first person games for too long due to motion sickness, but I like the card aspect of it! I did find that just running past the enemies into the next room just spawned more enemies, and I ended up lagging out because of it - it might be good to put doors that lock until you kill all the enemies. Also, it's harder to aim without a crosshair - could be a good thing to include.
Whoa, this is pretty cool! The game freezes during the broom minigame, unfortunately! I like the music and the art and everything - it was a bit troublesome to get it to work as a screensaver - I'd definitely like it more as a normal game (but I guess that's to fit the theme). Good work!
[My game](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/blackjack-beats) still needs some ratings, please check it out if you have time!
Ooh, this is pretty neat! I did find that you could double move sometimes on the beat. Really neat concept, I love rhythm games (my entry also is a rhythm game, but a reallly basic attempt at a bare bones rhythm game, first one I've made).
Also, it congratulated me for dying! I found that pretty funny! :D
Whoa, I didn't expect your entry to be a horror game! My hair was on end during all the exploring parts, the ambiance definitely fit well. I liked that the first room locked the door and forced you to backtrack for a key, and then the footsteps! Also, that first eye monster + its loud sound got me good. I can't say that I liked the unsettling music outside of the room, but it was really well done.
I guess in terms of stuff I encountered in my playthrough - it took me a while to realize at the very beginning that you were supposed to sleep in the bed to progress the night, and I also couldn't immediately see that there was space to walk around the first eye monster.
Overall, good job.
The art is great! It took me a while to understand the battle system, and it seems like you're heavily incentivized to just use fight, and use the flashlight before the enemy hits you. The fights against the 8 hp spirits felt a bit tedious, I only deal 1 damage per success, whereas they do 3 when the choose to attack. Also, I didn't understand why sometimes it asks for a check during the fight, but other times it just lets me do the action without a check.
I wish there was more, but I guess only so much content can be made during the timeline!
Hahahahah yes! This is so funny! I think my only complaint is that if one of the two balls goes out of bounds, you have to restart with both, which was a bit frustrating. This is really fun though!
Not bad, solid game! I like the little bounce the vegetables have when you slice them, and the sound effects work pretty well.
Hahah this is pretty fun! I couldn't get anywhere close to winning. The 4th stage (or when the dudes with the tentacles spawn) seemed to be where it got a bit too hard to dodge some bullet patterns. I liked that Ren Aishi's expression changes depending on your choice/when you get hit, that was a nice touch. The music was nice and peaceful. I think I'd want the dating sim questions to happen more often so it'd be easier to experience that aspect of the game more often. Overall good job!
Hmm... this was an interesting idea, but I think it could use more polish. The sound effect for the "3" is really loud compared to the others, I'd suggest balancing it a little bit. Also, the spider is really hard to use properly. The music was pretty nice!
Whoa, this is a really awesome concept! I'm not sure if I found a bug - I couldn't turn in some of the requests - it would show 0 of the vegetable even though I had 5. I had fun playing this though. I might try again to see if I can replicate the bug. Good work!
Edit: I played through again and didn't run into the issue I had the first time - no idea why it didn't register some of the vegetables that time. This is a great game! I like the music and I noticed a bit more of the details in the art. I'd keep playing, but I gotta rate other games to try to get more attention to mine!
This is pretty cool! I did find that the other tetris pieces behaved a bit strangely - it was kind of exploitable! I beat the game by kinda... bouncing my way to the pink block at the end instead of climbing legitimately hahah. I also didn't find the boss (but maybe because I skipped part of the climb on the final stage?) I like the title music - is the music original?
@derek-wilson Thanks for the feedback! Yeah, I do feel the same with the gameplay being a bit limited because it had to be done to the rhythm - I couldn't figure out a good way to integrate the rhythm aspect more to it. I could think about putting in a sandbox mode where you can just play blackjack, and have each action have a different sound effect!
@Random-storykeeper Hello, thanks for the detailed feedback! Yeah, this was just a very bare bones rhythm game (basically I wanted to make sure you could do something to a basic beat that syncs with a song). I thought about making a more complicated beatmap in the future, as well as maybe ideas on what to do with the rhythm to make it more interesting. I'll work on some post compo polish later, but haven't had much time recently - I still have to play and rate more games to get more ratings! I saw that you have an entry for LD 41, too - I'll check out your game later today!
@Talonos Thanks for the feedback! The betting component just determined whether or not you won back 20 chips or if you lost your bet of 10. And yea, I didn't have time to implement doubling or splitting (plus I wasn't sure about the layout of everything yet, whether or not I'd have enough space to have extra hands). I used FL Studio to make the music - I used to do One Hour Composition pretty regularly, so I'm used to writing songs under a time limit! I will upload the song to my soundcloud soon, for anyone interested in downloads.
@DDRKirbyISQ Whoa, that's pretty high! Thanks for trying out the game!
Ooh, this is pretty cool! It was kind of hard to see which arrow was falling, since they fall all over the place, instead of consistently in the same area. Using rhythm to attack is a really cool concept, though! It could be even better with more music and different sound effects with the attacks. Either way, this was really fun to play!
Check out my rhythm game if you have time - I made a simple [blackjack rhythm game](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/blackjack-beats).
Pretty good game! The game got so difficult it was unplayable - I needed more run speed, but the skull enemies would just chase me down and kill me before I could do anything. Maybe make the penalty for dying a bit less than losing all of your money, so players that didn't go a good tech route can still progress in the game. Otherwise, this was still overall pretty fun to play.
Pretty cool concept! It's definitely hard to keep track of where the numbers are, but I liked that you had to shoot things with the right number to get them.
This is pretty cool! It took me a bit to figure out that you could hold space to hover - that made dodging some things much easier. Good music, too! I haven't gotten lucky enough to get a triple yet, it'd be nice if the chances of the triple enemies was higher. Overall, pretty creative take on the theme!
Hahah man, this is so fun! The scaling of how much you get to do after you win seems a little bit high - almost any hand with betting could end up being overkill. The dialogue in between each battle was very funny! It also was very clear whose turn it is, and what your available actions are. Overall great job!
This is pretty cool! I just played it with @sayumeki. It's a little bit hard to get the ball around efficiently, but maybe I'm just bad at positioning players well for soccer. It also was a little frustrating that sometimes the player would move only a little bit, and other times they would move much further - you won't know how much you get for your move. The UI was also pretty clear - the camera centers on the player, and the player has an outline highlight, which is good.
I really like the Ludum Dare 41 logo you put in the backwall of the stage! Very nice touch!
Ooh, this was pretty cool! It took me a while to figure out some of the puzzles, but I eventually beat all 3 stages. I liked how you get to pause to make your decision. It would've been nice if there was a way to zoom out to see more of the stage during the pause screen. If you have time, please check out my entry, I still need ratings! https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/blackjack-beats
Not bad, but pretty difficult game. Sometimes too many chores spawn at the same time and I end up losing. The graphics are nice though.
Whoa, the art on this is really good! It took me a while to figure out how to do the combo, but the game played pretty well. The slow motion cutscenes were kind of fun to derp around during.
Simple, but fun! My best score was 9. It's a little harder to make sure I can aim well. I like the looping song you picked for this!
I'm missing ratings on my entry still - please check out my simple [rhythm blackjack game](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/blackjack-beats)!
Hahahahah dude, this is awesome! I laughed so hard on the first grenade. It might be nice to have a trajectory guide or something for new players, some of the high shots were pretty difficult!
This is pretty neat! It's definitely a bit hard to control your troop well, and I had some trouble seeing what was going on - everything felt very zoomed out. Nice game though!
Ooh, this is pretty neat! I like that you can buy upgrades and earn money from killing the enemies. The artstyle and music are good, too! This could be pretty promising as a full game.
[My game](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/blackjack-beats) still needs more ratings, any chance you could try it out?
The graphics are pretty nice! Controls were kind of clunky, and it's a bit harder for someone like me who gets motion sick sometimes with first person controls. Concept is pretty innovative though! It'd be nice if there's a hole indicator - but the ball indicator is a good quality of life inclusion!
This is pretty cool, but I couldn't understand how to do a lot of the things. I was able to plant a few beets and get one, but I don't know where to turn in the beet.
Edit: I booted it again and got audio to work! Not bad! I also figured out - you have to feed yourself by putting completed beets in the left, and pay more money by putting completed beets in the right. Interesting!
This is a pretty cool concept! It's a little hard to tell on the spot what each card does, but I guess it comes with some practice. It would have been cool if there was music with the game, too - but I guess time is limited and it's hard to make music within the time limit. Good stuff!
Also, thanks for commenting on my rhythm card game! :)
Whoa, this was pretty fun! I found 75/76 gems before I found the anchor, which ended my game. I might have spent too much time in the early area, the music just stopped before I got to the deeper part where the music was more horror-esque. It would have been cool to have the music transition as you go deeper and deeper, instead of having the horror music play for the rest of the game once you go deep once. Overall, this is a solid game!
This is a pretty good game! The sound effects were crisp and satisfying, especially the sword swing! And the music and storytelling are great. I didn't discover the door past the boss during my first playthrough, had to reload to "beat" the game after. Good work!
Hmm... interesting concept. The flavor text was a nice touch!
Hahah this was pretty funny. The spotter kept yelling at me for wasting bullets during the "waste your bullets" phase. The mouse tracking was a bit weird for me, even though I went fullscreen mode, too. The music was nice and funky.
Pretty interesting take on the theme! I liked that it feels a lot like video poker, but it took me a bit to figure out what was counted as a valid hand (it didn't accept single pair hands that I had, and two pair was indicated as "pair" sometimes?). The platform part felt a little bit too easy - I could just run to the right and spam cards to collect chips. Poker is where the fun is at!
Hahahahahah this game is funny!
Pretty good atmosphere! I found the game itself to be a little bit clunky though - I couldn't fire the gun, and instead it became an extra life if I got attacked, I guess. sometimes a wolf would just kill me out of nowhere! The footsteps in the audio is a nice touch.
Oh man, controlling the ice cream ball is pretty frustrating! The music and graphics are pretty nice though. And I really like the dying animation and splat whenever I fell off.. it made it a bit more funny whenever I died. Overall, I wish the controls were a bit more intuitive - I couldn't figure out why it was so hard to change directions.
Nice game! At first I thought the gameplay was easy because there was only one button, but the button combinations started coming and it got harder! I really like the art style for the characters, and the background and objects are all pretty detailed and well animated. Good work!
Please check out [my game](https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/blackjack-beats) if you have time - I still need ratings!
