This is probably the best compo entry this time.
Foon → Ludum Dare Explorer → Users → jollyserpent

This is probably the best compo entry this time.
Absolutely incredible. Unusual use of theme, great visuals, audio, captivating atmosphere. It's the best entry I've played this LD.
Great audio-visual presentation, love the sound effects!
The game is fun as well.
Didn't quite catch the connection to the theme, but apart from that very enjoyable and polished! Very fun.
Fantastic game. Thanks a lot for this little puzzle gem.
Wow, this is amazing. Great take on the theme, great presentation. A clean and polished game!
This is very good. I wish there'd be more levels, as the last one clearly shows that there's a lot you can do with the mechanics. Cool entry, good job!
Great! This is the first stealth game I've played this LD, and it's really fun. The only gripe I have is that I wish you wouldn't die when you bump into enemies. It makes sense when they are alerted, but when you look like one of the monsters and bump into an unsuspecting enemy it's a bit frustrating. :(
Fun game, very entertaining, never had a problem with randomly generated levels. Only minor gripe would be that keyboard controls are kinda stiff, although that might just be personal preference.
Looks neat, but I couldn't find any runes, so I can't rate just yet. Are they there?
Very difficult, but in a good way. You have to get used to dashing at first, but then it's just a cool challenge :)
A short meditative experience. Loved it, just wish there'd be some ambience in the background for the full immersion. Thanks anyway, this was great.
Such a weird (in a good way) game. Love all "pieces" of gameplay, crisp pixel art, sounds, music - it's all incredibly well done.
Fun, challenging, eye-catching. I'm definitely going to beat all the levels.
Loved it! Fun little platformer. I wonder if you can somehow reach the text pads that are out of level bounds...
Lovely 3d art, cool swapping mechanic :) Wish it were a tad bit longer, but still it's a very fun physics playground!
Very fun, the movement feels pretty intuitive and you get the hang of it quite fast, and then the levels gradually start getting harder and harder. Well done!
It's really really hard, but the idea is quite impressive! Very well done.
Lovely stealth game. The engaging gameplay is made that much tense by the awesome music. The art's very nice as well, reminds me of VR missions from Metal Gear Solid. Very solid and exceptionally good for a compo entry.
Combining HP and ammo is a great idea that adds some depth.
I somehow managed to push the box through the floor in one of the levels, but generally physics are like that... Great game, thanks!
Cool, I love fiddling with Alchemy-style games! Nice use of the theme as well. Thanks for this one.
Lovely puzzle game. Pretty visuals combined with solid gameplay and strong atmosphere. Thanks! :)
Great idea, loved it. It would also make for a cool multiplayer game.
Wow, well done. I think out of all games I've already played I've spent the most time with this one.
As a side note to the dev, have you tried building for Unity's (sorta) new WebGL player? I think it has less issues than their old one.
Good work! I just wish you would start with your spaceship rotated towards the next room, so that you can jump straight to action after restarting.
Very interesting use of the theme, well done! There's potentially so much stuff to do with this mechanic.
Might look like a simple game, but there are some genuinely interesting ideas in the gameplay. Glad I checked it out!
Awesome, I love puzzle games, and this one could easily be expanded into a full game. Quite challenging, quite pretty!
It's really always fun to drift, and shapeshifting adds some challenge to the game. Well done!
Very polished and fun to play. The only complaint would be the lack of any indication whether I actually was damaging the boss. I just magicked him for a minute or so and he suddenly died.
Loved this submission. All of the shapeshift forms are useful, ally formations allow for various cool strategies, and it's overall a very polished experience.
Looks fantastic, sounds pretty atmospheric too! Is there an end goal? I thought you're supposed to get energy for your ship, but I couldn't find a way to transfer it.
Great entry. Atmospheric, cool-looking and -sounding, and it's very enjoyable even to just walk around the game world.
Surprised nobody's mentioned the AMAZING voice-overs and sound effects! Had a good laugh and enjoyed the game quite a lot.
Very cool! I loved th creative use of the theme, especially the key and umbrella fruits.
Wow, what a unique art style. It's kind of cool that there are no visible stats in combat - you have to base your strategy on the way your body parts look.
Funny intro, great enemy variety, absolutely cool shapeshift idea. I could easily see myself paying for a game like this!
I found it a bit confusing, but the presentation is stellar and it fits the theme!
The best thing about this game for me are the knockbacks from weapons. Makes shooting twice as fun!
Neat game, interesting idea and lovely design! Don't know whether a 0 bounty is intended or not, as I got that sometimes.
Interesting mechanic, takes some time to get used to, but at some point it just clicks. Also loved the inclusion of different color palettes. :)
Couldn't possibly give anything lower than 5 for Graphics and Audio, it's absolutely lovely.
Lovely adventure game. The art style is amazing, and it's overall very fun.
Would've been a great rhythm game, but 48 hours aren't much, I know! Still very enjoyable, thanks.
Fun puzzle game with a nice art style, but for some reason the sounds were very quiet for me. Is it a problem on my end?
The music is just perfect, the art is lovely, the gameplay - pretty fun, and the most impressive thing (for me) is how responsive and tight the controls are for a thing made in Unity, which most people seem to be unable to pull off, especially given the time limit! Superb entry.
Cool game, it's like Zelda without the fighting :D
Very fun game with a cute art style and an interesting take on the theme. Well done!
Got all of the endings. They are phenomenal! :D Lovely pixel art, the color scheme reminds me of Dropsy, great relaxing music. Great entry, loved it. But what was the blue button supposed to do originally? I'm curious!
Superb game with a nice theme interpretation, and thanks for being an inspiration to participate this time!
That was pretty cool. Loved the writing style (abrupt, but still fairly descriptive, keeps you in suspence), and from what I could tell it fits the theme nicely, but now I want you to try writing more!
Solid twin stick shooter, a bit too easy though. The scan lines effect works pretty well for the style.
I am pretty sure the game works as intended! Are you sure you had enough clues to be 100% correct? Sometimes it's really hard, because some regions have very samey statistics.
Thanks for all the feedback! I agree that clues can be kind of frustrating, but that was my way of making the game at least somewhat challenging, as I didn't have enough time to properly balance cards and events.
Again, thanks for all the feedback. I appreciate it a lot, as it sometimes gets hard to properly assess your own game! I think I'll do a post-LD version to try to incorporate this feedback, which is a nice skill to have.
@joemid Sorry to hear about the issue you encountered! I'll try to reproduce the issue and fix this, but that might be due to some weird stuff with Unity WebGL export and Safari or something like that. Thanks for the info anyway!
@timeshapers Sorry to hear that and I understand that the game might be a bit too demanding for a jam game in terms of attention and time investment! Once you get your progress bar to 100%, you have to press the clue button to get a clue, which gets logged to the, er, log.
I uploaded the Post-Compo version to itch, if anyone is interested. Sadly, itch.io doesn't allow for multiple web versions of the same game, so the newer version will be standalone-only until this LD is over.
Please drop me a comment if something's broken!
Hey Alphish, thanks for the lengthy run-down! I've actually implemented the difficulty settings in the post-compo version already. :P As for your other points and the solution you propose, that is indeed quite clever and logical. The only reason I went with the system presented in the game is because I found it kinda too easy when beta-testing it myself, but I didn't have much time to properly balance the game, so I just took the easy way out and made it kinda unfair and frustrating. Now that I think about it, it didn't necessarily make the game much harder, but, well, what's done is done! I would like to come back to this game after some time and expand on it, so I'm saving your generous comment for that. Thanks!
Also, thank you everyone for the great feedback, I was kinda scared to participate in LD, haha, but seeing the way people react to fellow LD folks' games (and my game as well) makes me super confident and excited for the next one.
Very neat game, I loved the idea and the message behind it!
Very stylish, loved the environment and the lipstick mechanic, although the latter didn't stop me from getting lost... Still managed to escape though!
Very addicting and tense game, played it for a while. I'll probably come back to it.
Superb for a jam game. The gameplay is simple, but very addicting, the visuals are adorable, it was such a pleasure to play. Thanks a lot!
Loved it. Short narrative game with a message and a twist at the end. Very cool.
