LOL oh man, this is edgy as hell. Made my day! :D

LOL oh man, this is edgy as hell. Made my day! :D
Pretty cool game, using sound! A few nitpicks: I thought the sounds would play automatically. I didn't know I had to click the right mouse button. Upon learning this I just spammed the RMB. Secondly, a win/lose state would make the a lot better. (Although I understand you didn't have time!) Some audio/visual cues when smashing those pesky plants would be great, too. I played without knowing whether I have smashed them or not.
It's nice! But the controls killed it for me. Also, I skipped the instructions, and was wondering how the mining worked. I tried to dig like 10 times, only to figure out it was an extracting beam. Love the graphics, though.
Oh my god. THE SURPRISE.
Wow. This game is really well-polished and fun! Well done! Love the art style, too.
I... I can't believe I fell for the trick! Well done, had a great time.
Great game. Great graphics (I really love em!). Pretty cool and fun overall! I think when a spider creeps out, it'll get exponentially difficult, especially in the later parts of the game, and it'll FEEL like you can't turn the tables, which may cause frustration. When I've played 6 minutes into the game and died, I never wanted to play again and try and win.
Had a great time playing this game! Puzzles were solvable, but also not too easy. Great atmosphere, too. Really amazing job!
Some nitpicks: When I first played this game, I thought it was buggy because it scrolled through the entire course and I though I just wasn't able to start! You should make it move faster. Even better, move it so fast the whole thing just blurs out. This makes the player anticipate the game, and he doesn't know what's coming.
You should also consider adding more incentives to play. For example, a score system, or lava that's slowly rising up. After all if I know what's on top, why the hell would I go through all this trouble just to get up there if I could just stay below?
...I did not just spend 15 minutes just scratching pages off, did I?
Pretty neat, though it's hard to understand the game. I had to look at the readme like 3 times during the game in order to actually understand it! Simple 1 liner instructions when you're able to interact with something should make the game easier to get into. From what I can tell there's an overlay to make it look underwater? Maybe you can slowly shift that thing as time passes to make it look more... watery
Cool concept, but for some reason at 160s+ the number of virus cells suddenly became 10 times the usually amount and they filled the screen pretty quickly.
Pretty fun and well polished game! I went to the finish by just drilling in one single column, though! Maybe that's a design flaw? Really love the art.
Actually pretty fun. My highscore's 820 only :( Maybe you can add "good" worms? Just a thought. And yeah, not very related to the theme.
Love the originality here, but it's really hard to understand how to really play the game. Also, a typo in the starting box: the buttons are on the RIGHT, not the left.
Neat game, pretty well done. I'm annoyed by the character always being unable to slide into a single tile. Maybe make his bounding box smaller, or add some sliding/threshold code?
Neat game with neat graphics. Agreed that it needs audio.
Cool mechanic. Love games like this. Got stuck on the level with 2 green plates and 1 box. Well done!
I don't understand the game...
And yeah, music can't be sourced, it has to be made/generated by yourself.
Kinda addictive, but don't like how it is hard to avoid the bullets, which feels frustrating.
That was pretty scary. Thank god it's only 8pm here.
Really, really lovely art. The overall feel of the game is really great. I really felt like I was diving deep underwater. Overall, very atmospheric game. Great job!
Amazing game! Love the overall pleasant feel of the game. The art style and music really works well together. It's a really elegant game which is simple but tough to master. A really great job well done.
Gahhh 50s only. I think the gray hazards should contrast more with the background.
Controls weren't so great, especially the wall-jumping: Took me many tries to finally "get it". Loved the idea of mirroring though.
Wow. This is actually a really great concept! It was more challenging than i thought it was. I love puzzle games! Played till that level with 4 cherries, and then stopped playing because I didn't want to restart again.
Pretty nice concept. Challenging and nice dialogue. By the time the game started I already forgot the instructions though, so I just played around to figure what's up.
I tried like 10 times to play this game, each time refreshing. I don't understand how to land properly.
I actually loved how this went. The choice was tough.
I love the art. The sounds are great, too! Not sure if it's just me, but jumping feels buggy in Chrome. Idk.
Really lovely art. Sometimes the text go out of the screen and you can't read them.
Great game with interesting concept and aesthetics. Level 4 got me.
To everyone: Thanks for the feedback!
@WhiteWolf93 and those wondering about the theme:
It's a game about pretending to be happy. When you're depressed and you try to stay happy, waves of sadness usually hit you and it's hard to look fine. Beneath the surface, you're all messed up. This is, btw, coming from a sometimes-depressed 19 year old.
Any who, this is why I said the game was pretentious (;
I understand the concerns for music, but it's hard to generate energetic music. I'll look for better music post compo.
Heh, most badass fish I've ever seen!
Aww, don't feel sorry! :<
Really love the aesthetics! Hard mode is tons of fun.
Great game with a cool concept. Well done! There's no problems with the 1 and 2 keys, but they ARE weird and unconventional, so maybe you can change them.
This is actually pretty fun! Love the polish and the aesthetics, as well as the overall "feel" of the game. However I feel it's not very inclined towards the theme?
compliment();
Nice. Really like the idea of signal delay, especially in endless runner games like this. Sometimes wall-jumping kills me, when it appears I should have lived.
@kirbytails7 Actually sorry for generalizing :P, but it only happened once. I remember there was significant space between the platform and the character.
This one's hard. I'm pretty sure there's a message it's trying to give... Or maybe not.
Well-polished game with a clean, minimalist art style. I like it! A cool take on endless runner games.
Wow, this is actually a really cool game! Simple but addictive :) I got 100+ but then I checked again and my name wasn't there anymore, damnit.
When you get to it it's actually really fun, but then it starts to feel repetitive.
No game over? Icicles/tree balls should affect your health or something ;)
THIS GAME. I really love how this game is literally on the screen!
Lovely game, great concept. The art and the mood is spectacular - the chains at the start really did it for me. Although: I didn't get it at first -- it took me a while before knowing how to progress past that first part. Really great for a Compo entry. Good job!
Wow, really love this. The UI is spectacular, but I wished the text was larger.
It took me a while to get the last one: "The arguments must connect!" didn't make much sense to me at first.
Overall a great puzzle. I'd like to see this expand further!
Had to run it on Mozilla Firefox. I think the game was too small for me: it strained my eyes.
Really interesting concept. The art was pretty cool too. I'd like to add that it took a while for me to understand the teleportation mechanic.
Cool concept. Controls make sense, but you need to be able to access help while during the game because otherwise you'd have to exit if you forgot the objective of the game.
Could be polished more with animations and sounds.
As above commented spikes don't really make sense. I'm guessing there were more features planned (Like the gold, etc.) Also, I didn't figure they were spikes the first time and died.
As it stands the game is pretty fun with me wanting to get to the end, but I wish there was more strategy involved!
Pretty neat game, hope you continue expanding on it :)
Interesting game. Came here trying to get a highscore, but left the game twice. The first time not knowing I could double jump, and the second time just deciding it was WAY too punishing. And this is from a guy who loves VVVVVV, SMB, etc (BUT HATES DUSTFORCE SO MAYBE)
I feel like the controls are too stiff for a hard platformer like this. I think the fact that the game is so tiny accentuated this.
The ping-pong ball obstacle felt too random and when I was hit I didn't blame myself, I blamed the game.
Loved the aesthetics and all the juicing up. Knockbacks, little particle things, nozzle flash... Pretty well polished, but I wished it had music. In contrast though, the sounds were brilliant.
Loved how the game started / the introduction by pressing 'Z'. Good job on that!
Overall, not a bad game, but I feel this would be more fun if it wasn't SO punishing.
*slippery, not stiff controls.
Loving the concept. Pretty fun, some nitpicks:
- The wall jumping is tough.
- Hard to control, I found myself pressing my keys pretty hard
- Like someone above said, there was a bug trying to get the yellow key :( I really wanted to see how it played out
- After some time the sounds stop playing.
That last part made me laugh :) Is Advanced supposed to work at all? The Action button should be DOWN button so I can play with the comfort of just one hand. Finally, doesn't really fit the theme?
While I'm unzipping the master zip: Why not export it to flash?
Just had a go. First thoughts: As the player, I'm not sure why I would even bother with the coloured wheels. I'd just rotate the B/W wheels to rack up the most points possible.
Neat concept. It took awhile before getting it, but once I did I used my brain more and enjoyed it more. I got 290 on my first and only run.
Holy shit this game is funny, hahahaha. Pretty fun. Only got 71, but I know I can do better!
Good concept! First impression is I loved the effect when multiple circles touched. Couldn't tell how the circles affected the music. Oh yeah -- music doesn't loop so well.
Agree with the above comment that it would be a cool game if you work on the gameplay a little more. As it stands, the scoring system is pretty bad.
Overall, good job for a first jam :)
Cool lil' game, but way too tough! Also I'm not seeing the point of the gun.
Not a bad escape game, but a lot of the puzzles don't really make sense. What I did was just go to random stuff and hit the spacebar randomly and see what works and what doesn't.
Unless intended, the controls should be simplified. WASD can simple move the character. No unnatural rotation or backwards movement, just moving up, down, left or right.
A pretty sweet rhythm-ish game! Firstly, one nitpick: I didn't know what the hell the 'S' button was, it looked like a 'g' the first time playing the game and I died quickly not knowing what to hit. Restarted and saw the 'D' button this time, and realized I was supposed to time WASD.
Not sure about other people but I personally wished the gameplay ramped up faster, it was getting boring at the start.
Also, it felt like I timed the button correctly during (what seems like) the boss, which feels unfair.
Haha why the hell does the food attack you?! :D
Currently it's rather difficult at the enemy can damage you even when there's a big gap. One idea is to give health when you beat an enemy (or few). (You're eating the food after all!)
Extremely well polished! Very juicy, love all the tweening and effects. That confetti is fabulous.
Pretty okay puzzles, but like many physics-based puzzle-platformers, can feel unfair and frustrating sometimes.
One particular nitpick: I wish jumping was easier. When you jump near some stairs holding a l/r direction, you'd hit the sides which would reduce your vertical velocity and thus be unable to jump onto the next step. Pretty frustrating.
Overall, great work!
Also, as above comment mentioned: I was also stuck on second level! It's hard to figure out that you can step on bubbles.
Pretty interesting concept. I like how precise my actions are when playing! Yeah, I wish it was easier to understand. I also like the minimalism.
Possible suggestion: To support the linking of the shapes more, you can make use of color highlighting: Make the larger square holes have purple outlines, make the main thing in the center have a green outline.
Otherwise: A simple way to teach the player is to just show arrows pointing things.
Also, I wish you had an outline around the radius of the main thing to show where you can move around -- The first time I played it, I didn't realize there was a constrained mouse movement, and after a bit, it was in the bottom right, and I thought it was a bug where my mouse was stuck.
Anyways, had fun with it!
Love the idea, hehe. Really fun, but really frustrating.
Love the concept, EXTREMELY well polished, but I wish it was less frustrating.
BTW: If you're experiencing issues in Chrome, it's because the .zip contains an .exe file. In the download bar on the bottom, when the "Discard" button appears, click the arrow to the right and hit "Keep".
Now onto the game: It's pretty well polished! I accidentally skipped the shooting instruction, but I like the mechanic of using it to jump higher. I only wished you could move during that time, though!
I feel like the text's not very easy to read. Graphics and music aren't too bad! Overall, good job!
I'm not sure what to say. What little "graphics" there are are terrible, and I can't even get into the game. It's not clear what you spent 48 hours doing.
Really loved the mood! Interesting story, too. One nitpick is I wish the buttons were more obvious, thought the first 3 choices were a poem lol.
Interesting concept, but I feel most of the time it's a guessing game rather than a riddle.
Cute, kinda fun, but boring as there's no objective but just killing forever until you die. A difficulty curve and highscores would be great, for example, but I understand the time constraints.
One nitpick is the wolf's jump is unnatural, but I guess there's a certain appeal to it.
Well done for finishing your first jam!
Lovely humor. Dialogue sound gets annoying.
Very fucking weird.
Graphics don't match at all. Audio doesn't match. Nothing is consistent, and there's no motivation for me to keep moving right: I don't get it.
Neat concept! I got stuck in the first screenshot level, not sure how to continue
Only 2 shapes??? Literally unplayable.
This is interesting, reminds me of Snapshot. At this stage it's not much of a puzzle though. Nevertheless nice work
It's alright for 12 hours! Movement was pretty frustrating though. Also not much relation to the theme!
Interesting game! However, I find it hard to align to shapes, especially at the sides.
Very interesting take on the theme! Like the music as well
Actually spent some time playing this. Well done! I wish the clues given weren't completely random, it gets frustrating when the clue given works for every state.
Love the sweet art, music is pretty good too. However it's too easy, just running around.
Good concept! I wish it has the speed and precision of Super Hexagon. Also, I don't see the point of the arena shape changing, since the paddle always moves in a circle.
