Interesting concept.

salmonmoose 2014-12-08 22:00

Nice to play around with - I think with a little thought about actual gameplay, this could be quite a relaxing mobile experience. Certainly one for the tablet/phone market.

oscarabraham 2014-12-09 04:18

Hey, it's really pretty. Is the sound procedurally generated?

kopeph 2014-12-09 04:48

OS X binary doens't seem to work. I get a cannot run error from the OS

jaymfernandes 2014-12-09 04:50

Thanks for the feedback guys! oscarabraham: Unfortunately not for this game but maybe I will look into it for the future. Since I had to spend more time programming other things than doing the audio stuff I ran out of time to!

barry-p-evans 2014-12-09 04:51

i really like how the audio plays into the whole circle thing! its cool!

alvarop 2014-12-09 04:58

Interesting piece. Feels nice to play around with and experiment.

jaymfernandes 2014-12-09 05:21

Sorry about the Mac Build Kopeph (and anyone else who tried it)! Should be working now!

muush 2014-12-09 06:19

I loved it, simple yet effective. Loved the little visual effect when circles touch. BTW you can now play a web version of my game since the OSX version didn't work.

andresgames 2014-12-09 07:07

Like the concept, needs work to "gamify" it. Achievments or goals maybe? Like surround these objects all at the same time without touching them? Idk, just throwing ideas. I second the mobile game comment.

jaymfernandes 2014-12-09 07:22

@AndresGames Thanks for the feedback! I'll definitely look into it (Achievements definitely sound interesting) There were a lot of things I wanted to add to make the gameplay more focused but ran out of time (48 hours is tough!)

panda 2014-12-09 07:23

Very pretty!

arovoid 2014-12-09 07:58

Wow, this little game is awesome! I really like the mood of it :)

jaymfernandes 2014-12-09 08:17

@panda: Thanks!

@Arovoid: Glad you like it! Mood was my main goal :D

madhoe 2014-12-10 02:24

Good concept! First impression is I loved the effect when multiple circles touched. Couldn't tell how the circles affected the music. Oh yeah -- music doesn't loop so well.

Agree with the above comment that it would be a cool game if you work on the gameplay a little more. As it stands, the scoring system is pretty bad.

Overall, good job for a first jam :)

chuigum 2014-12-10 03:03

I like the audio, simple but very nice. Good job

lynx 2014-12-10 03:03

I really enjoy this a lot! So much potential to gameplay features you can add and turn this into a mobile game or anything really!

Great job on the programming to do this (I know the difficulty) and thanks for commenting about this on the Music Game post I made

jyrkface 2014-12-10 03:39

The sound is intense :) Kinda had an ominous feel for me, honestly. I just know something terrible is happening when the spheres shrink away :P

kitch 2014-12-10 03:40

Nice relaxing experience. Zen like. Very nice.

Good work! Thanks

jaymfernandes 2014-12-10 05:06

@madhoe: Thanks for taking a look! Mostly the circle diameter affects the low-pass filter on all of the sounds. (thanks pointing out some issues heh scoring system is on the list!) Also, I couldn't figure out why Unity was adding the skip in the loop in time :/

@ChuiGum: Thanks!

@Lynx: Glad you enjoyed it! I'm definitely looking into expanding it (and getting better at programming haha) Thanks for posting the music post! Gotta represent the music games!

@Jyrkface I love your description! Glad you enjoyed it!

@Kitch I was going for a meditation thing so glad it was Zen for you!

kirbytails7 2014-12-10 08:38

Nice ambiance, for sure. I'm a bit confused as to why there are a score and timer, though.

simonchauvin 2014-12-10 09:08

Love the mood. Good first entry

thopis 2014-12-13 05:03

Very nice mood with that music!Great concept also!

alsweigart 2014-12-17 07:35

Nice concept, though it kind of gets boring fairly quickly.

jaymfernandes 2014-12-18 00:23

@kirbytails7: Thanks! I ran out of time to add some other things that would make the timer/points more useful :/

@Simon: Thanks! It was a ton of fun to do!

@Backterria: Glad you liked it!

@AlSweigart: Thanks, ran out of time to do some other stuff with it since 48 hours is short (with work too!) but hopefully the other stuff I add will make it less boring for future ppl!

spacedoubt 2014-12-18 01:49

Neat! I'm an ambient type of guy, so I enjoyed it!

maxmetallica 2014-12-29 22:22

nice work
